What's up with the wash-ups? Welcome back to another episode of Prayers and Blesses the Podcast. I'm your host, Mark Tyson. And before we start the podcast off today, we're gonna leave with prayer as usual. Heavenly Father, we thank you for another day, another opportunity to grace your stage, to grace your algorithm. We ask you to continue to bless me with the words of wisdom, leadership, guidance. Ask this word today, touch someone deep in the center of their chest. If this is meant for you, if it feels like it hits you in the chest, hits you in the heart, God has sent this word directly to you. Thank you. Amen. So today we are going to talk about access. Not money, not success. We're talking about access. We're gonna talk about having a product, paying for the product, praying for the product, and not praying for access. Sometimes we want the product so bad that we forget about the rooms that we have to step into. We forget about the networking that needs to be done. We forget about all the things that come with leveling up. And this brings me to something with myself. See, I only can speak on things that is coming from the heart, things that I've been through. Not something someone has taught me, something someone, excuse me, not something someone has told me. I go from first hand experiences. And that brings me to today's topic with access, right? Now I've been working on this audiobook for almost a year, right? Audiobook is complete, audiobook is sitting on my dresser collecting dust. Why? What is the lesson in this? What is God teaching me? See, over the years I've learned to invest in myself. You gotta invest in yourself. You must invest in yourself. You know what I'm saying? And in the process of is investing my investing in myself, I was so much focused on the process that I wasn't focused on the access to the people, to the rooms. You must enter these rooms to be around these people. So what I did, I flew someone out from my city, room and board. Now normally you'll give them money for uh whatever their price is, but I was so caught up in the product, I want an extra step. I'll pay for your room and I'll give you whatever you're asking for. So thirsty for the product. Praying that I could the words come out right. I was in this room in this studio getting this, getting this audiobook done. Then once I got the product, I sat down, I tried to upload it, it wasn't going through. Had my wife trying to upload it, it wasn't going through. So focused on the product that I wasn't praying for the access to the rooms. I wasn't looking for getting around the people and rubbing elbows with publicists. And the people that the the voiceovers that I'm trying to head for, I want to do voiceovers. I think I have the voice for this. But see, it's not just me. We all have a tendency to pray for the product. We don't pray for the access, we don't look for the access, we don't work for access. We don't try to rub shoulders and elbows and network with people that can put you in positions in order for you to win. We have to look deeper. It's more to life. See the the the teaching, I learned something in I was it was a it was a it was a lesson. God said, slow down. I'm gonna teach you something right here. Teach about access. Teach about not overloading yourself. Some was wondering, I'm doing everything that I need to do. I'm trying to do everything on my own. They say you don't need nobody. But in life, we all need somebody. And that this just this incident and this and this moment, I realized you need you need some publicists. You need to meet some people, you need to get out. But what comes with that is my voice being heard. See, the picture was always bigger than me. The picture was always bigger than me. It was about the youth, the lost individuals out there that I felt like, okay, I was a lost individual, and I felt like, you know, I could the things and the trials and tribulations in my testimony could help a lost individual see things from a different aspect. But once I made it about myself, it made it about the book, it made it about the audio, it took away from the main subject. So it wasn't that I was being uh denied. It's not that I'm being denied. It was called delay. See, I had to I had to get delayed in order to understand where I'm going. Sometimes we have to get delayed to understand where we're going. You're not getting denied, you're just getting delayed. God just make you take a few steps back to understand that this is bigger. Because I I could have probably um, let's just say, that's let's just say it would have it would have um went through on my behalf, the way that I seen it. They say you tell God you're playing, he'll laugh at you. So let's say it would have gone through. I would have published it, it went through, you know, on my on my end, it would have been out there in the universe, that would have been it. No contact. No conversation. No other doors of opportunity am I opening for myself. Being boxed in. We pray for these opportunities, but we don't pray for the access. Access is everything. Give me one second. I'm gonna tell you something that's gonna be helpful to you. Right? Every chapter of your life, every day of your life is a new page in your book. Everything you do is a book. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday is a different page. One year, a decade could be a chapter. You can even make it to where as though every day is a chapter. But what is your life and what is your chapter? Without access. What is your chapters without access to the experience of life? The experience of life is gonna come with it. You can't avoid it. And understanding everything that I'm voiced to you, that the steps that I took, it was progress. Like I said, I sat down, I wrote the book out. I could have I could have found someone right here in in Atlanta to record the book. But I flew someone out that I felt comfortable with. I gave them whatever they wanted as far as uh finances, whatever they whatever their criteria asked for. I made it a feet, make sure that I met them with what they what they wanted, right? But that's me working. That's me, that's that's the lack of of patience. That's the lack of my my vision is only as going as far as I know. But with the access to people around you, you can also level up and move forward. Greatness lies beneath. But you have to understand when you get it delayed, it's time to just take some steps back and see what is just what is what is this delay? Why am I being delayed? See, sometimes we get delayed and we give up. Sometimes we get delayed and we're ready to throw the book in, we're ready to throw the towel in, we're ready to say, you know what, this ain't for me. But it's a lesson and a teaching of every delay. See, the understanding comes from the passion and the wanting it. See, I wasn't gonna give up, and I'm not gonna give up. But the passion and the wanting it makes me reach deeper into understanding what's going on with this process. And it took prayer in order for me to understand what was going on with the process. I was praying, and in the process of me praying, I said, God, give me access to the rooms that I need to be in. Give me access so that I can do voiceovers. Give me access so that my voice can be heard. And in the process of it to pray, I understood, okay, so that's what's been missing. You've been reaching for product and reaching for perfection. See, the whole thing is I'm not perfect, I'm not perfect. But I try to move with intentions. I move intentionally. So when I'm moving intentionally and I'm lacking the fact that there's no access, I'm lacking the fact that I don't even have knowledge that I need access, but it came out to me in the prayer. See, sometimes that's all it takes is for you to pray. And the big homie will speak back to you. Oh, you know what? I'm so busy doing this. So I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm online looking for looking for all these different sites to upload it myself when I should be saying to myself, where's these networking events? Because let me let me let me let me say this, right? If you are not a mechanic, you shouldn't be into that under the hood trying to fix no engine. If you're not a chef, get out the kitchen. If you're not a musician or a rapper or a singer, what are you doing in that booth? You ain't a plumber. What are you doing down there with them pipes? Put someone in position to do the things that they specialize in, and you specialize in speaking. I specialize in speaking, I specialize in vocals and talking. I don't specialize in publicity. I'm in here busting my brain, pulling, dragging myself through the mud, when at the and and kicking myself every time it don't go through, when this ain't what you specialize in. They got people out here for this. And when you get the access, you build relationships, you educate yourself more, and that and those relationships will help you evolve and level up. Like I said before, it's not denial, it's a delay. And the delay will sometimes help you add to your arsenal. But you can't give up. You always gotta stay ready to fire, ready to shoot, because I'm sitting here with this audiobook, right? Yeah, I'm I've added to the arsenal. I have I have another weapon, I can't even pull the trigger. And I don't have no access. The doors of opportunities will open for you to step in. You have to ask yourself what you want and how to go about it. See, right now I'm in a I'm in a I'm in the process of having a dual speaking engagement coming up. That's access. You know how I got access? Networking. Opportunities, praying for opportunities, doors where we have access. There's greatness within our thoughts, and we have passion, but at the times with our passion, we seem to try to control every single thing, and we don't allow others in. And it adds a delay. It as it as it rattles your structure. Because if I looked at the blueprint that I had started to create, I'm not a I don't know how to work the studio equipment. I'm not with the editing, the chopping, and all that. That's what I did. I hired somebody to put that position in. So now when it comes down to publicizing my work, why are you trying to be a publicist? Hire somebody. So if you invest in yourself and take the money that you're blowing on certain things and put it towards your growth, I would have been further ahead by now. But in this time, in this time right here, I'm taking as a lesson. This is a lesson right here. This was a lesson to me. This was a lesson from me to me in real time. In real life. And I'm wise enough to say I stepped back and learned the lesson. Taking accountability. Yo, you in your own way. Back up. A couple steps. This ain't what you do. This ain't this, this ain't your profession. Not only that, the profession that you're in is people. The profession I'm in is people. Talking to people, working with people, helping people, speaking amongst people to help them grow. So if you get out there amongst people and talk to the people and help them grow and build the community that you're trying to build, the access that you need, it will be granted. Like I said, this ain't about money right now. We ain't talking about money. We ain't talking about success. We're talking about growth. And this growth right here coming from me. Hopefully, you can learn something from this. Hopefully, this right here will teach you something. Say, yo, you know what? I've been in my own way sometimes. I need to stop doing things and step back and um venture out. Because the growth comes from within. You keep doing the same things, you're gonna get the same results. I've been in here all day, every day, trying to get this thing loaded, doing the same thing over and over and over again, getting the same results. Nothing. And I probably can go get somebody right now and say, yo, look, how much you gonna charge me to do this right here? Oh, this is what you do? You a speaker? You got a book? Oh, I know come. Oh, they got a speaking event down there. So therefore, the access just the dominoes start stacking up. All I have to do is knock them down. And what did it take? Some prayers for me to understand. I don't want to say I don't even want to say I was frustrated. I'm gonna say I was frustrated. I'm just to the point where though I'm saying I stepped, I took some steps back. I said, Let me leave this in God's hands, let me pray on this. And in the process of my prayer, I said to myself, you know what? The big homie just answered me. You don't have any access because you're trying to do everything yourself. And you're putting yourself boxed in. That's why you have people around you that specialize in these things. Sometimes we be determined to do things ourselves. Sometimes we we are determined to do things our own way. Now, there's not so much about a shortcut. Let's not let's not let's not get access and shortcut confused. You know that? Let's not get access and shortcut confused because anything that you want to get done in the life, there's a blueprint to it. Somebody out there in this world already did what I'm trying to do, and there's a blueprint to it. At this point in time, I didn't have the blueprint, so I didn't know the steps to take. So instead of so busy looking for the shortcut, you got to follow the blueprint, the direction. You have to take the proper course of action in order to obtain the excellence that you want. That's where the discipline kicks in at. Now, there wasn't no shortcut involved, it was just, you know, when you when you see things, oh, you can go, you can go here and do this, you can go to Amazon, you can do this, you can go all these different places, and you can upload it yourself. Now that might be so much true. But in the field that I'm in, I need access to other people. It behooves me to get access to other people. Let's not get shortcut and misdirection misunderstood. Because, like I said, there's a blueprint to everything that we do in life. Now, I'm good at once I get the blueprint, I'm not gonna go, I'm not gonna go off track. You give me the blueprint, I can follow the blueprint to the T. Because I see I see success at the end. You know what I'm saying? I see women at the end. I see legacy at the end. This is this is for my legacy. So it's no giving up. So the blueprint. Print is right there. All I have to do is follow it. But if you don't have the blueprint in the null avoid, then you are trying yourself and trying to figure it out. But at some times you will get answered. You just have to listen to the answers that's gonna come. When a big homie speaks to you, you have to hear that and keep it moving. Prayers and blessings, the podcast is here. Because right now, I guarantee you, someone out there listening got something from this. Somebody out here saying, you know what? He's absolutely right. I've been in my own way trying to do this all myself. And they probably had the funds already. Priorities was pushing the funds over there. And what they really want is right here. But they're pushing their funds over there. So a lot of times it's not even about the money. It's about the lack of understanding. The lack of the proper guidance. We sit around and torture ourselves trying to be successful, beating ourselves up, wondering why it ain't going through. You know, you gotta sit it down, step back. What am I doing wrong? Who's this ain't this ain't for me? Not that the book or whatever it is you're trying to accomplish is not for you. You don't have to you you can't be afraid to tap into whatever is necessary to bring you success. A lot of people have it have it stuck in their head where they don't want to ask nobody for nothing, they don't want to do nothing with nobody, but you but what you gonna do with all this product and no access? You got your own shirt line, you got a thousand shirts bagged up. You don't want to put all this equipment, you got this press machine, you got this, that, and the third, and you don't have no access to the people. You done sat there, you done wrote this good speech that you're gonna say, you don't even have no audience to talk to. Cause you don't have some social media, so you don't even have no access. Access is key. You can have product and lack the access. And like I said before, don't oh, don't think right off rip that you're being denied. It's not denial, it's delayed, it's a delay. Because you're gonna have what's meant for you. What's meant for you is most definitely gonna come to you. There's no way around it. What you're gonna do with it when it arrives. When an opportunity presents itself, are you ready? When they give you access to everything and everybody that you want, are you gonna be able to stand still? Pardon me, stand ten toes down and receive your just due. Granted, one thing, I'm never gonna give up on myself. And you shouldn't even. Never give up on yourself. Now I believe if this book, this audio book that I've that I've recorded, I believe if I did it for the money, I'd be out there breaking my neck trying to get it done. But I'm not I didn't do it for the money. I did it because it's my it's my testimony, and I believe it can help someone, right? So what's resonating to me through prayer and understanding is that what you have on is this is powerful, somebody needs to hear it. That's why I haven't given up. And that I need to put it in the right hand so that it can put out the correct way. It's not just something you just throw out and be done with it. It must be handled with care. It's a dedication on there. Something special to me. It's a blueprint on there, it's substance on there. It's greatness, it's impact, it's leadership, it's guidance, it's ownership, it's accountability, it's growth, it's the understanding of who I am and who I've grown to be. It's a package put together to help someone else go to the next level, to help someone else get over alcoholism, to help someone else grow to be a better father, to let someone else know that they're not the only one going through these things in life, to let them know that you're not alone, to let them know that you don't have to go through this by yourself, to let them know that I am here. So I shouldn't be handling it with anything less than superiority. I should be handling it with the understanding that this is greatness. It's not just something you just not just a flimsy disc with some words on it. This is put together to save somebody life. I put this together to save someone's life. To help someone look at themselves differently, to understand who they are, to understand that you can overcome anything and everything. I took my time and built this, so why should I be rushing it? Trying to just get up just to say it's up, just trying to put it in there and put it. Oh, something, another, another something else I accomplished. No. This ain't that, and that ain't this. That's growth. That's prayers and blessings in real life. I prayed and I got blessed with understanding. I got blessed with new direction. The growth comes from within. All you have to do is step up to the plate. Take some time out for yourself. When you want more, you'll obtain more. Discipline obtains excellence. I want this to hit somebody right in the chest. I want someone out there that's doing something for themselves and maybe on the brink of giving up, or maybe on the brink of saying to themselves, this ain't gonna happen for me. No, it's gonna happen for you, it will happen for you, it's meant for you. Don't let this delay come into your life and make you think it's a denial. It's not. Ask yourself, what am I missing? What am I overlooking? There's an answer there. What am I not doing? What am I doing too much of? What do I need to tweak? Don't rush it. You have to water it, you have to nourish it so it can flourish into whatever it is that you want to see it, but you don't want it to flourish into something ugly. You want to see beauty. You want to bring an abundance. You don't want to be one of them. You don't want to be one of them over there. I'm not trying to be one of them over there. You wanna be one of one. I hope this is hitting somebody right here, right in their chest. If it's hitting you right in your chest, then this was meant for you. This was put together for you. This access was granted for you. This growth is for you. This understanding this perspective is for you. You tuned in for you. You getting something out of this for you. You understand? So when this is this is this is not one of them podcasts you're gonna leave, you're gonna turn off and not leave with something. You're not gonna, I'm you're not gonna come to my podcast, turn it off, and leave with some information about somebody else's business. When you turn this off, you're gonna have some growth and some structure and something about yourself that's gonna give you some get up and go and say, you know what? I can do this other thing right here because it's a light bulb gonna come on. Your thoughts are gonna get gathered. You're gonna take a few steps back and say, yo, let me do this another way. Whatever it is that you try, whatever excellence that it is that you're trying to obtain, prayers and blessings will help you gain it. I'm the fire underneath your feet. I'm the fire underneath your feet that's gonna help you move. There is no winning, there is no success, there is no putting your flag at the top of the mountain without prayers and blessings. You can't do it, you won't be able to do it. Show me somebody who made it without prayers and blessings. Cause guess what? If you didn't pray, somebody prayed for you. Everything is there for you to gain. But product without access is just a headache. You're gonna beat yourself up, you're gonna feel like I'm not doing something right. What am I doing wrong? Luxury motivation meaning I don't have to scream and yell all in your face. I can sit back and talk to you like you got some sense, and you can still get something out of it. I ain't gotta snatch you up by your collar and yell in your face and all that. You got some people you gotta yell at them when you be yelling and talking and screaming, they're going one and the other. They shut down, they can't hear it. And some people you can talk to with some sense. And they get everything. They soak it in. They're gonna take what they need and they're gonna leave the rest.
