John Merrill Kirkman shares a powerful reminder from General Conference: God knows you personally—by name. Reflecting on stories from scripture and the words of Elder Clément M. Matswagothata, he emphasizes that Christ sees your joys, sorrows, burdens, and silent tears. This uplifting daily message encourages listeners to stop trying to earn love and instead walk confidently from a place of already being deeply loved by God.

God knows your name. This is John Merrill Kirkman with Walking with the Savior Podcast daily episode. In the April 2026 General Conference, Elder Clement M. Matswahatata. Sorry if I said that wrong, Elder, said this great quote. Even as Jesus Christ invites us to always remember him and take upon ourselves his name, he also remembers us and knows each of us by name. In the Old Testament, the Lord taught Moses this assuring truth. I know thee by name. In Eden's garden he called Adam. At the empty tomb he called Mary. On the road Damascus he called Saul, and in the sacred grove he called Joseph. All by name. And he knows you and calls you by name too. From crowded cities to quiet villages, in whatever language you speak, he hears, sees, and knows you. He knows your joys, and he rejoices with you. He knows your sorrows and he can succor and lift you. Because of his atonement, he knows your burdens, pain, and silent tears. And that's the end of that quote. Now, today, walk from a place of being loved rather than from a place of trying to earn love. Let me say that again. Today, walk from a place of being loved rather than from a place of trying to earn love. Thanks for checking out Walking with the Savior podcast.
