Do it anyway. The power of faithful action. This is John Merrill Kirkman with Walking with the Savior Podcast daily episode. Success in the world's eyes often looks like talent, luck, or recognition. But deep down we know that something more eternal is at play. True success, real, lasting success, comes from doing the things that are right, even when they're hard, even when we don't feel like it. The principle isn't just a self-help idea, it's a spiritual law. In Doctrine of Covenants 5827, the Lord teaches that we should be anxiously engaged in a good cause and do many things of our own free will. That means we don't wait for motivation. We don't wait until it feels easy. We choose to act because it's right. Sometimes we think feelings should lead us. When I feel spiritual, I'll pray. When I feel motivated, I'll serve. When I feel like forgiving, I'll forgive. But discipleship works the other way around. Action invites the Spirit. Obedience brings power, consistency, small acts of faith in Jesus Christ open the door for Christ to shape who we become. Even the Savior Jesus Christ showed us this pattern in moments of difficulty. And because of that, he made it possible for us to grow, change, and overcome. So when you face something today that feels hard, whether it's reaching out to someone, saying a prayer, doing your duty, or choosing patience, remember this. Those small, unseen acts of discipline are not small to God. They are how you become. Spiritual strength isn't built in big moments. It's built in quiet decisions repeated daily. Each time you act in faith in Christ, instead of feeling, you are becoming more like the Savior. So ask yourself, what is one thing I know is right that I will do today, even if I don't feel like it? That's not just success, that's discipleship. When you don't feel like it, do it anyway. And when you do, you will see the power of faithful action.
