A simple story from a father at a girls' camp delivers a powerful lesson about faith, trust, and listening for God's voice. As his blindfolded daughter navigates an obstacle course, she eventually finds herself confused and off track until she asks the question many of us ask in life's difficult moments: "Dad, are you there?" The answer reminds us of an eternal truth—God never leaves us. Sometimes we simply stop listening. This short but impactful message is a reminder that no matter where you are, Heavenly Father is still there, ready to guide you if you'll turn to Him and listen.

This hit me harder than I expected. On Facebook the other day I read a father's post. He tells the story about he and his daughter at a girl's camp. This is how the story goes. A father tells his daughter three things before guiding her blindfolded on a course in a wilderness camp. Number one, I will never leave you. Two, you can ask me anything. Three, only listen for my voice. At first it's easy, then his hand is removed. Silence. She gets off track, ends up standing confused in a ditch, and finally asks, Dad, are you there? I'm here, he says. That's us. We walk through life blindfolded, thinking we're alone, trying to figure it out ourselves until we finally ask. And the truth is, he never left. We just stopped listening. We go to him last when everything falls apart. But take credit when things are going right. The reminder is simple. He's still there. You can ask him anything. You just have to listen. Thanks, Kale Owen, for that amazing Facebook post. Thanks for checking out Walking with the Savior Podcast daily.
