Don't despair. Repair. Have you ever looked at a mistake you've made and thought, not again? Maybe you've prayed about the same weakness dozens of times. Maybe you've promised yourself you'd do better. I'll never do that again. Only to find yourself back in the same place. And in those moments of voice whispers, what's the point? You'll never change. It's just the way you are. You're always stuck. You're never gonna get better. Welcome to Walking with the Savior Podcast daily episode. Today we're talking about one of Satan's most powerful tools, and frankly, one of Christ's greatest gifts. Satan wants you to despair. Jesus Christ wants to help you repair. Woo! No matter what you've done, no matter how many times you've stumbled, the Savior's message is clear. Never give up. Come unto me. Let's begin again. Think about the difference between despair and repair. Despair says it's broken and it's over. Repair says it's broken. So let's begin. This is what we have to work with, says Jesus. Let's go to work. Oh Jesus Christ is the master repairer. His work is not just for the cleaning up of the past. It is the power for change right now. It's strength to try again. It's light when you feel stuck in the darkness. It's healing when you feel regret, shame, or spiritual fatigue. Jesus' power. Jesus is the master repairer. It's healing when you feel regret, shame, or spiritual fatigue. When the scriptures describe the Savior, they often show him moving toward people, not away from them. He went to them one by one. He touched those who felt unclean. He spoke to those who were overlooked. He lifted those who were bowed down. That's his pattern. Remember the guy in the cemetery who was naked, cutting himself, making loud noises, and scaring everybody away. And on top of that, people tried to chain him down, and he broke the chains? That guy was crazy. And in walks Jesus. And the next we hear is that this man was in his right mind. Clothed. That's what Jesus does. That's his pattern. So if you're feeling distant from God, maybe trapped in a cemetery or some other dark, miserable place, the good news is this. You don't have to wonder whether the Savior is willing to come close. He already is. Repair with Jesus Christ often starts small. It might be a simple Heavenly Father, I need your help. It might be the opening scriptures for five minutes. It might be choosing to repent again and again and again. And if you feel like you tried before and slipped again, remember repentance is not a single step. It's not a single event. It's not a one-time thing. Repentance and repair is gradual, but it's real. The word I like for repentance is reconcile. Reconcile means restore to friendship. And so you imagine if you broke a relationship with a friend and you did something horrible to break their trust. And then you come back and humble yourself and say, I'm sorry. But it's going to take some time to restore that friendship. Reconcile is exactly what Christ wants to do. He doesn't want to break us down, he wants to repair us and restore that friendship. So today, if you're tempted to despair, replace that thought with the truth. Because of Jesus Christ, I can repair. You're not finished. Your story's not over. The Savior's grace is not limited.
