What if one simple list could strengthen your faith every time you felt discouraged? In this episode of Walking With the Savior, John Kirkman shares a powerful confidence-building exercise inspired by The Confident Mind by Nate Zinsser and transforms it into a deeply personal, Christ-centered practice.
Instead of listing your greatest accomplishments, John invites you to write down your Top 10 Moments Walking with the Savior—those sacred experiences when Jesus Christ became real to you through answered prayers, peace after repentance, moments in scripture, guidance, healing, forgiveness, or quiet reassurance. Revisiting these experiences reminds you that your testimony isn't built only on stories from scripture, but on the Savior's personal involvement in your own life. As your list grows, so will your gratitude, confidence, and faith that Jesus Christ has been walking beside you all along.

What if I asked you to make a list of the ten greatest moments of your life? In the confident mind, Nate Zenser encourages people to create a top ten list of their greatest successes. The idea is simple. When you regularly remember your best moments, you build confidence. So if you're a baseball player, list your top ten baseball moments. If you're a dancer, list your top ten dancing moments. Live and feed off of this to build your confidence. Now, I would like to suggest a Christ-centered version. Create a list called My Top Ten Moments, Walking with the Savior. Think back over your life and write down 10 experiences when you felt Jesus Christ is real in a real and personal way. Maybe it was the time you felt his love during one of your darkest days, the peace that came after sincere repentance. A prayer that was answered in an unmistakable way. A moment while reading the scriptures when a verse seemed written just for you. A feeling of his presence as you sat quietly thinking about him. Strength you received to forgive someone. Love you felt while serving another person. Guidance you received when making an important decision. Comfort during grief or loss. Don't worry if some of these experiences seem small. Often the quiet moments become the most sacred. Now here's the important part. Revisit this list often and add to it as things come up in your life. Yes, this will bump other items off your list, but either you can keep a growing list of items, or your top ten becomes more and more significant to you. When you're discouraged, read over this list. When you wonder if God really knows you, read it. When your faith feels weak, read it. This simple exercise reminds you that your relationship with the Savior isn't based only on what he's done in the scriptures. It's built on what he's done in your life. This is why I love the book of Psalms. David refers to my savior, my fortress, my shepherd over and over. It's almost like he has created a list of his top 100 things of how Christ has showed up in his life. Now, as you remember these moments in your life, you'll begin to notice his hand more often. Your gratitude will grow, your faith will deepen, your confidence in Christ will become more personal, and you'll discover that the Savior has been walking beside you far more than you realized. So today, take a few minutes and begin writing your top 10 moments, walking with the savior. It may become one of the most meaningful lists you'll ever create.
