ADHD And The Theory Of All The Things
ADHD and the Theory of All the Things is a podcast born from one of the most recognizable parts of ADHD: relentless curiosity.
Hosted by Andrew Perry, each episode follows a single question down the rabbit hole to uncover the history, science, psychology, and human stories behind the ordinary things we often take for granted. From photography and clocks to coffee, sleep, Apple, money, friendship, and everything in between, you’ll discover how everyday things became extraordinary.
You don’t need to have ADHD to enjoy this podcast. You just need to love asking, “Why?” If you’ve ever lost an afternoon chasing one fascinating question after another, you’ll feel right at home.
This isn’t a lecture or a textbook. Think of it like a conversation around a campfire with a good friend, uncovering forgotten stories, and making complex topics surprisingly easy to understand.
Because every ordinary thing has an extraordinary story. And once you know it, you’ll never look at the world the same way again.

Each week we take a deep dive down a rabbit hole. You never know where we will end up. Whether it’s the history of photography or how Crocs are made. We will follow the rabbit hole wherever it may lead.
Have you ever googled one tiny question and somehow ended up three hours later reading about ancient Rome? Or the invention of the number two pencil? Or why octopuses. Octopuses? Octopi. Octopi. Have blue blood? If so, you're gonna feel right at home here. My name's Andrew Perry. I have ADHD. Which means my brain has one setting. Rabbit holes. I'll ask a simple question like why do cameras exist? And then five minutes later we're talking about chemistry and onto art and war and the industrial revolution. And then the moon landing. Then suddenly you realize none of these stories were ever separate. Everything connects. Every invention has a backstory. Every ordinary object is sitting on top of centuries of brilliant ideas, ridiculous accidents, impossible failures, some stubborn people, and moments that changed the world forever. That's what this podcast is. Every episode will start with one thing. Maybe a watch, a cup of coffee, a camera. And then we'll do what every ADHD brain secretly loves. We'll follow the rabbit hole. As far as it goes. Because the deeper you dig, the more you realize that everything is connected to everything else: history, science, psychology, business, people. It's all one giant story. This isn't a podcast about having ADHD. It's a podcast that's made possible because of ADHD. So if you've ever lost an afternoon chasing one little question, pull up a chair. You're among friends. Welcome to ADHD and the theory of all the things. In true Alice and Wonderland fashion, let's take a trip down the rabbit hole.
