In this foundational episode of Walk With Me, Dr. Gio introduces the question that gave birth to the show: What am I actually building here?

After weeks of reflective walks, honest conversations, and searching for a deeper path toward personal growth, I realized these episodes were not random. They were pieces of a larger map,  a method for understanding the internal systems, patterns, beliefs, and identity structures quietly shaping our lives.

This episode explores why self-improvement, mindset work, manifestation, and personal development can sometimes feel exhausting when we do not understand the system underneath our behavior. Because without a map, even good information can become another place to get lost.

In The Map, I introduce the Walk With Me Method, built around eight pillars of transformation:

Awareness, Identity, The Mind, The Nervous System, Emotions, Capacity, Behavior, and Meaning.

Together, these pillars help explain why you can know what to do and still struggle to do it, why change can feel so difficult, and why real transformation begins with understanding the version of you creating your life.

This episode is for anyone who feels stuck, misaligned, or disconnected despite doing the work. If you are ready to stop fixing symptoms and start understanding the system, this walk is for you.

Reflection question: When was a time in your life you started something without knowing all the steps and found clarity as you went?

Walk With Me releases every Monday morning at 3:00 AM North American Eastern Time.

Walk with me. Because you can't change your life until you understand the virgin of you creating it. This is a space for honest conversations about the systems, patterns, and beliefs quietly shaping your life. On this episode we talk about the map, my journey and the birth of Walk With Me. What am I actually building here? That was the question I couldn't shake. Take a walk with me. Prior to starting this podcast, I was doing weekly walks on my YouTube channel at Rise to Reclaim Geo, and in my mind it was simple. Just you and me having conversations, trying to find a real path toward becoming a better version of ourselves. But after each walk there was something always lingering. A feeling that this was more than just conversations. Not random, but not fully connected either. There were pieces of something I couldn't fully see yet. This all came to a head after a walk I did talking about fear. I had a moment where I had to pause and take a step back and really take a look at everything I was doing. After some thought, the best way I can currently describe it is this. It felt like a sky above me. The sun bringing ideas, the clouds, carrying messages, the rain pouring down words, and my life experiences making sense of all of it. But I realized I couldn't just stand in it. So I took a walk with it. What am I actually building here? After walking for about an hour and honestly tired of thinking about this thing, I thought about some work I wanted to do about developing pillars for my coaching business. And that's when it clicked. There's a structure underneath all of this, much like my coaching. The reality is we don't need more information. If you are here, you have more than likely done what I have done. I've read the books, I've watched the videos, I've done the work. And depending on where you're at in life, circumstances, and training, it works to one extent or another. But I also know how exhausting it can feel. This constant cycle of self-improvement, quick fixes, chasing some version of life that always feels just out of reach. Because without a map, even good information can become another place to get lost. So I started asking a different question. What if the problem isn't that we don't know enough, but that we don't understand how we work? Most people are trying to change their life without understanding the system creating it. Everything we talk about on this show is going to come back to this. The walk with me method. It's built on eight pillars, not ideas, not theories, but parts of you that are already operating, whether you realize it or not. There are three phases to this. The first phase is the lens, how you see your world. That is awareness, identity, and the mind. The second is how you feel and regulate. That would be your nervous system, your emotions, and your capacity. And finally the third is how it all shows up in your life. Your behavior and the meaning you create from it. This is why you can know exactly what to do and still not do it. It's why you can feel stuck even when you're trying so hard. It's why change feels so difficult. Because you've been trying to change the output upstream of the river of your life without understanding the map. And when I look back now, every walk that I have done, it all fits inside this. Now we have the map. Those prior walks were bushwhacking, hacking the way with my machete, clearing the path with my Indiana Jones hat and a whip, just in case the situation got spicy. And now we have something to follow. So from here on out, we're not just having conversations. We're walking through this together. Layer by layer, piece by piece, so you can finally see yourself clearly. Because you can't change your life until you understand the version of you creating it. Now, I'll leave you with this. When was a time in your life you started something without knowing all the steps and found clarity as you went. As we finish our walk for today, remember, you are not here to perform growth, you are here to understand yourself clearly enough to live differently. This is Walk With Me, because you can't change your life until you understand the version of you creating it. Follow the show, leave a review. I want to know who you are and where you're listening from. And share this episode with someone who's ready to stop fixing symptoms and start understanding the system.
