SPEAKER_00

Welcome back to another uh I almost said Backstreet Boys. What is this? Some streets back. No copyright. So the first episode is a heretic, second, I'm a narcissist, and this time I'm getting copyright.

SPEAKER_02

You're getting copyright infringement by Mr. Almost a Joey Fatone, but he's he's NSYN. He's not Backstreet Boys. No. But I can't name a single Backstreet boy. You can't? Sorry. I can't name like the actual people in it.

SPEAKER_00

Neither can I. Can't but uh yeah, no.

SPEAKER_02

In NSYNC, there was NSYNC was Justin Timer Lake and Joey Fatone. Uh-huh. And I only know Joey Fatone because of impractical jokes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, me too.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway. Uh this is Sunday School dropouts. We have a spicy one for you today.

SPEAKER_00

And this is only episode three, guys.

SPEAKER_02

This is only episode.

SPEAKER_00

So I think it only goes up from here. Um if we could even go up from here. I I have some topics.

SPEAKER_02

We have a shared notes app on our phones now. Yeah. Uh where we where we write topics. Yeah. And this one was the first one on my list because it was the spiciest one. And Cameron was very hesitant at first, but now he's just like, we've gotten, we're two episodes in. If you're hearing this, clearly it hasn't been taken down. So thank you so much for that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um Praise the Lord for uh protection on the internet against people who hate.

SPEAKER_02

But uh we we decided that uh we're just gonna rip the band-aid off because there's too much there's too much going on in the world right now to ignore as good Christian boys.

SPEAKER_00

And this is about um the Florida man.

SPEAKER_02

The Florida man. The Florida man. Uh and probably not exactly what you're thinking. Well, he was he's he's the Florida man now. He was originally from New York.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, exactly. But Wall Street guy.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I feel like you know, you always always hear about the Florida man and like what he does, the dumb things, like you know he is who I picture now whenever I whenever I read those Florida man tags, taglines like Florida man got uh beat up three crocodiles after he stole fifteen thousand gallons of uh gas from the Wawa.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know, bro. That's crazy, but uh yeah, this Florida man, um Mr. Donald J. Trump.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he the Florida man is also known as the president of the United States. Yeah. And the reason we wanted to talk about him is because it's been something that's been going on in our ministries. We've talked about it. I just preached a whole sermon on it uh two weeks ago.

SPEAKER_00

Three weeks. Three weeks ago? Almost five, bro. Really? It was almost a whole month ago.

unknown

Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_02

Time flies when you're having fun. Absolutely, or in a mundane jest job like I am. Um yeah, I preached I preached something about this because there was just too much going on. That's right, because it was right after Easter. Yep. Oh man. Um because and the thing we wanted to talk about was, and I'm going to I'm gonna preface this by asking you, Mr. Cameron. Okay, are we impro are we as a nation encroaching on idle territory with our current president?

SPEAKER_00

Wow, that's a great question, Austin. Thanks for asking. Um thanks for throwing me to the fire first.

SPEAKER_02

You uh well I have a real stuff, but I want to I've never heard your like take on it. Well like I said, I have I ru I spoke an entire sermon and sent it to you. That's very good. So you know where I stand. I absolutely do. I don't know where you stand.

SPEAKER_00

Idle territory, man, it is it is tough. Um I certainly um you know I'll be the first to admit I I've I voted Trump in office, you know. What? Alright.

SPEAKER_02

I you did what? I did. How dare you? You hear that internet, get him. Okay, so did you, so I don't want to hear it. The second time I did.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Well, I mean, I don't think I could vote the first time, so second time for me, too.

SPEAKER_02

Well, no, I vote No, it would have been twice. Yeah, I would have been it would have been twice now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I only voted in this.

SPEAKER_02

I voted for him. And to be fair, I only voted for him because the other option was horrible. Was not great on both both times. Yep. It was a lesser of two. I was not old enough to vote the fur in 2016.

SPEAKER_00

No, this last election, I uh I was definitely not sticking the other one in the world.

SPEAKER_02

Did you feel like an American when you voted? Was this the first time you voted?

SPEAKER_00

No, not at all. Actually, it felt like some tear in my heart, not gonna lie. I hate voting, bro. Um was this what was this last election your first time? Gosh, I don't remember. What year are we in?

SPEAKER_02

2026.

SPEAKER_00

What was the last 2021? You would have been 18.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no, 18 would have been. So I did vote in the 2020 election. The first the 2020 would have been the first one.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, I did. Um I did vote in the 2020 election. Um, this time, this time I could not um it man, it it it sucked because like, man, I I don't really man, I like him, but I don't, and I definitely just wasn't voting the other one in.

SPEAKER_02

So um his first term wasn't bad. As bad as the media would like to tell you it was. Absolutely. I agree. This second one has been insane.

SPEAKER_00

It has been, yeah, partially where I'm like, gosh, what are we doing, guys? Yeah, so what I shouldn't even say partially. I'm fully at the point where like, gosh, what are we doing? Yeah, what are we doing? What are we doing?

SPEAKER_02

So what is going on?

SPEAKER_00

The question is, do I believe that the modern political party is approaching on approaching on um Is he is he an idol? Well, yeah, absolutely, he's an idol. Um I 100% would agree with that. Um there are what most Democrats would call maggots, um which are careful. Nah, I I don't have to be careful. This is unhinged. You're one letter off.

SPEAKER_02

Well from saying something bad. You know, but no, I I agree with I think that the right wing MAGA people, in my opinion, are just as bad as like the purple-haired woke people, as they like to call them. Yeah. On the other side.

SPEAKER_00

They're just as bad. And and it's the crazy thing is I think I had this conversation with my father-in-law when I actually asked him if I could marry his daughter, and where we were kind of talking about how how the middle has You better hope he doesn't hear those. He knows he can hear it because we talked about it. We agree. Okay, fair enough. Where the middle has shifted, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's weird.

SPEAKER_00

It is strange. Like, um, man, the the far, like, there is like some far left wing stuff that's horrible.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And then like, and I'm not even gonna lie, some of the far right wing stuff is sometimes even worse.

SPEAKER_02

Just as bad, yeah. Just as bad, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It is, it's it's rough. And I man, I feel, you know, like obviously there's a lot of political unrest in the nation, and I don't identify with the Republican or Democratic Party. I I am in the middle, and I and I I I definitely do not um Do not vote based off of a party. I based, I vote my sorry, base my votes off of values that the person carries. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, and I'm sorry, it's just Harrison not have enough um Yeah, we would vote Democrat if the Democratic Party would give us a good candidate. A good candidate. But unfortunately, in the last couple, in our opinions, they just haven't been a good one. We had a corpse the first time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But and we had a very much insider traitor, you can tell she was at one point a lawyer, you know, candidate that's a good thing.

SPEAKER_00

In some of the things, like it's crazy because man, it's so it's so crazy because there's some things that Trump's bringing office. Man, I absolutely disagree with. But there's some things that you know Harris would have brought in office. I mean, I would absolutely even disagree with, and I think even more. Um, and you know, I'm obviously basing my vote off of values that they carry. Um now, obviously, when I voted for Trump in whatever year that was that got him into this election, I did not I did not think we'd be where we are in 2026, bro.

SPEAKER_02

It has been insane.

SPEAKER_00

Um I definitely would say that there is people who worship him, people that make him an idol. Um I I pray the Lord um continues to guide him. And the Bible says, continue, the Bible says, pray for your leaders, those who are in charge, and to submit to them, right? So like the Bible is the Bible is clear on what we need to do with our leaders. I am not above submitting to a Democratic president or Republican president. Like it is, it's not it's not that. Jesus, the Lord calls me to submit to my leaders and to honor my leaders and pray for my leaders, and I will. I prayed for Joe Biden, I prayed for Trump. Like it's bro, that's just how you live the Christian life. You can't you can't swing on one side or the other heavily. Um and as a Christian, I feel like um You can't just straight plant your flag on one.

SPEAKER_02

No, you can't. And regardless, like like you all heard, I always heard that like uh last couple elections, you hear people say, like, oh, vote blue no matter who. Yeah. Like stuff like that. I d the re the Republicans had one too. I can't remember what they said, but um Well, and that's the thing.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like for Christians, it's wrong to plant your flag on one side or the other. And it's so funny because I have people tell me all the time, well, you can't be a Christian if you're not a Democrat. You can't be a Christian if you're not a Republican. And I'm just like, man, this is so confusing. Like, oh, Jesus was alive, he would have been a Democrat. Oh, if Jesus was a Republican, I'm like, guys, just stop. Like, vote for the people whose values align with the word of God and the values of Jesus Christ the most.

SPEAKER_02

Simple. The Congr I think I think Jesus would have walked into Congress and he would have flipped some tables. 100%, bro. We would have chased some out.

SPEAKER_00

And that's where I'm at right now. I think if Jesus walked into America right now with the idol tree that is going on our current current presidency, I think he'd flip a lot of tables and he'd humbled a lot of people.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, my take on it is Paul would have Paul would have been going crazy.

SPEAKER_02

We would have had a letter. Oh, he would have got a we would have been like Steve from Blues Clues. We just got a letter. We just got a letter. That is crazy that I I was gonna say it and you knew where I was. 100% I did, bro. Steve from Blues Clues. Steve from Blues Clues should be our president. Okay. Not quite.

SPEAKER_00

But man, it's it's tough because man, I I struggle with this because I I um think there's a lot of great things that President Trump is doing. And then I also just think there's some things that make my mind go, what are you, bro? And like you talk about idle territory, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, should we go through some of the stuff that he's been doing?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean, let's first talk about the 20-foot statue more lago. What, bro? I bro, I mean I don't even know.

SPEAKER_02

And it immediately goes the golden calf, and he's been a president for not even six months.

SPEAKER_00

No, well, it's so it's crazy because No.

SPEAKER_02

Two years, six months, my bad.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, sorry, yeah, there we go. My bad, my bad. Uh, six months were big.

SPEAKER_02

My brain does not work no good.

SPEAKER_00

Sometimes that's okay. But the it's funny you say that because what did you show me the pictures of who came and was at that ceremony of the dedication?

SPEAKER_02

Uh, it was the uh mayor of Mar-a-Lago. Yeah, it was um a lot of the residents of Mar-a-Lago, and it was also members of the Orthodox Jewish community that is in the area, that's right there. Um, they dedicated it, they helped cut the ribbons. Um, there were people that were like praying over it and like laying hands, and like and it's weird, and I understand that he has an ego and he technically owns the area.

SPEAKER_00

So he can put it like well, and and I actually I I believe that Jimmy owns the area, he has the money, he can do what he wants. Yes. However, I think there are a lot more better investments than money. It was a horrible investment.

unknown

Alright.

SPEAKER_00

Um I I think if I was the president of the United States, there's a lot more issues in America that I put my own personal money towards uh instead of a 20-foot statue.

SPEAKER_02

Do you think do you think it's solid gold or do you think it's just gold plated? Do you think it's just gold on the outside, or do you think it's pure solid gold? I wouldn't put it past them if it's pure solid gold. Um I wouldn't put it past the guy. They claim it's solid.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_02

That's what they claim.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But like, mind you, the statue's just the most recent thing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like right before Easter Sunday was a lot. Orthodox or technically it was Orthodox Easter. Uh no, it was Easter. It was no Easter Sunday was the first bit where I really, really noticed it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, where she had he had his um spiritual advisor. No. Which apparently is a thing in presidential cabinets. I didn't know that. Spiritual advisor is a demons are spiritual too. Is a s is a title in in creational cabinets. I guess Biden and Obama and Bush and Clinton, which is all the presidents that I from when I was alive, they all had spiritual advisors. I didn't know that. They didn't know that. Um her but they do every every Easter, they do a prayer. Apparently. Okay. This is like a thing. And her prayer, I don't know if you've seen it, I don't know if the people who have listened to this have seen it. She bit for bit went through and compared what our current president has gone through in the last couple years to what our Lord and Savior went through. Oh bit for bit, he was arrested, he was persecuted, they tried to kill him. And I'm like, well, first off, they did kill Jesus. Like it wasn't a try, they were very successful. Um, but just like our Lord and Savior, they he rose up and he defeated the evils of our Democratic Party, and like all this, and I'm like, please don't compare the stuff. Don't get me wrong. Regardless of who's in the presidential office, yeah, attempting to assassinate the guy is not the way to fix 100% the issues that are going on. I would I would agree with that if it was Trump, if it was Biden, if it was Obama, if it was Bush, if it was Clinton, if it was the guy before Clinton, because I wasn't alive then. Uh whoever that was. Oh, HW. It was HW before that. Yeah. Herbert Walker Bush. Yeah. Shout out. Um he just passed. Rest in peace. Um, he just passed recently. Um Jimmy Carter, I think was before that. Anyway, sorry. Um I'm just trying to name all the presidents.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, back to the side.

SPEAKER_02

But like regardless of who it was, assassinating the guy is not a good idea. Yeah. Um so but to compare that assassination attempt to the death to the death of Jesus Christ. What a is crazy. Baloney. And that was the start of it. A week later, the man doubles down. Oh give it to us because this is crazy. And I have it on my phone still, because I saved it because I was like, people don't believe me when I talk about it.

SPEAKER_00

100%.

SPEAKER_02

He posted on Orthodox Easter. Oh my gosh, I hate this. A photo of himself.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

In a very Christ-like well, not very. I don't want to name him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, don't say that.

SPEAKER_02

Because um he he could get us taken down. Um looked like an associate of his. That's very true. Um, and there was like these army people and angels and this weird, like AI Baphomet angel looking thing behind him. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be an angel or a devil.

SPEAKER_00

It looks like when it looks like those are fighter jets in the background, actually.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it looks like the fighter jet might have morphed into an angel or something like that. Statue of Liberty. But it looks, it just the the one figure looks strange looking. And I think that was just AI messing up. I don't think he had any attention to that. But it's still with with the the image of him with a devil angel looking thing behind him, kind of speaks falling. Um, and then for him to just the couple days later, they asked him about the photo, and he's just like, Well, I thought I was a doctor. Um the Red Cross. I was healing people, I thought I was working for the Red Cross, I thought I was healing the man, and I have helped uh I have healed and helped a lot of people, and he immediately just goes right into glazing his own ego like he does.

SPEAKER_00

Which is funny because in this picture he has a beacon of light bursting from his hands.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And and I'm like, how did you there's no way that you thought you were a doctor? There's no way. Right? And so that happened. And then the statue thing happened.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And it's like, that's where, not to mention me and him have talked about it. The amount uh there's been a couple were I know the last week we just talked about worship stuff. If you didn't listen to that, go ahead and listen to that. Yep. Uh, we'll wait. Okay, you're back. That was a great episode. Right. Um, and that we were talking about worship last week. Yes. There have been worship songs made for this guy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

One was a very prominent worship singer. Like a country worship artist. I can't remember her name. It was we won't talk about it. Yeah, I won't, I won't say her name. Um but like it just it blows my mind because I know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Do you want to go into the other bit that we we posted on the thing? Well, I mean Because there's a lot of people now. There's people who are idolizing him, yeah. And there's also people that are saying that he's the Antichrist.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, it I don't know how much you want to get into that.

SPEAKER_00

We we can, because I I think we've already crossed the borderline of like Yeah where I don't even know if we even had a line. Um anyway.

SPEAKER_02

Listen. To put my tinfoil hat, you're getting tinfoil hat Austin for a second. There are signs that it could be him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And respectfully, as much as I think that I think you're respectfully, I think you're wrong.

SPEAKER_02

But that's fine. Obviously. But I also believe that there were Antichrist all throughout history. 100%. You know, like if you if you look at the historical documents and stuff, and you believe the scholars that believe that all of Revelations was basically foreshadowing the fall of the first temple of Jerusalem in 78 years. But you know, speak about the Antichrist was Nero.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Speak about Christ or not um the Antichrist being Trump, right? Um do you know who Franklin Graham is?

SPEAKER_02

I've heard the name. Yeah, so Franklin Graham. He's not related to Billy. Is he related to Billy? Pretty sure he is.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, cool, cool. Pretty sure.

SPEAKER_02

Um yeah. Oh, yeah, I think that is his like son or grandson or something like that.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh. Pretty sure it might be his son.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, yeah, his son is Franklin Graham and Ed Graham. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So you might be learning something new on me because I don't know. I did he talk about this?

SPEAKER_00

So he did. Oh. And I pulled up the post. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. And his opening statement says, I do not believe Trump would knowingly depict himself as Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_02

I disagree. And 100% I do too.

SPEAKER_00

That would certainly be inappropriate, which he has done a lot of inappropriate things. Yes. I'm thankful that the president has made it very clear that it was not at all that what he thought the AI generated image was representing. He thought it was a doctor helping someone, and when he learned the concerns, he immediately removed the post. Well, absolutely, he immediately removed the post. And that is my that's where I respect Trump and he removed it. But I'm just having a hard time believing that he didn't know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because it is obviously him as Jesus. Like, yeah. And man, when that picture was posted, man, I I don't even know if I like if if the if this was reversed and this was his first presidency and he was going to run again, I don't think I could vote for a second time for him.

SPEAKER_02

Because I just very happy that this is he's that he's done.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I do too. In which, but at the same time, bro, like some of the things that are happening, like that needed to happen for years, are happening now. Yeah. Um, and it kind of makes me nervous for whoever's taking over because there's not a lot of strong candidates.

SPEAKER_02

I'm very curious what the next presidential race is going to look like. 100% me too, bro. I have predictions. So do I. Um, which me we'll talk, we might talk off camera. I don't think we'll we'll talk about it. Off camera. There's no camera. Off mic. Off mic, that's what I meant. Um I definitely think I know who the two people are gonna end up being.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, besides the point, I'm just I'm I'm glad that he can't run again because I don't think I can vote for him again, knowing that he put posted himself as Jesus Christ in the image. And I'm sorry, it's just I just don't buy for a second that he thought he was a talk.

SPEAKER_02

My thing is too, is that he he explained that he didn't believe it. Yeah. I didn't want to see an apology for it.

SPEAKER_00

Very true. And maybe he did, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

I j maybe I just didn't see it. Yeah, true. And if he if he did and he saw it. If you see you in the comments, please let us know.

SPEAKER_00

Please do, because we're begging for it.

SPEAKER_02

Because I would love to see it. Because like I said, um I only brought up the whole Antichrist thing because I know that that's been a lot of chatter online. Oh, yeah. And on the internet.

SPEAKER_00

I think even in the Gen Z Christian community.

SPEAKER_02

There's people there's people that in my Bible study that brought it up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and well, that's the thing. I think in Gen Z, there's a lot of a lot of a lot of Christians who are democratic voters. Um, and uh there's nothing wrong with that. If you're a Democrat, you're listening to this, great. Uh if you're a Republican and you're listening to this, great. Yeah, like Jesus loves you and you're valued, your identity isn't your voting party, it's your child of God. Yeah, um, and but I encourage you that you vote for presidency position based. Based off of values of the heart of the individual. And I'm not saying that I made the right decision voting for Trump. I'm not saying that if you voted for Kamala, you made the right decision. I really don't know because of this a lot of stuff that's happening now, like, could it have been avoided if Harris was in office? Well, we don't really know what she would have done, what she would have legalized, what would have been a lot of people. Unless she gets elected.

SPEAKER_02

Unless she does get elected. Yeah. At some point, we won't know.

SPEAKER_00

We we we don't find out. But I mean, yeah, like right now, some of this stuff is like it's it is definitely crossing idle territory, and it is very anti-Christ in vibes in a sense. That's kind of yeah. Where I definitely I don't believe Trump is the anti-Christ.

SPEAKER_02

I don't believe I don't believe it either, but I can understand why people understand why people say it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And I mean, I guess that's truly the point here is that I mean we I we do really understand where that whole conspiracy um is kind of coming from and how people can gain that. And no, it definitely he's not the antichrist. And I'm sorry, if you think this is how the end of the world is gonna be, buckle up, baby, because it's gonna get a lot worse, and I don't think you're ready for it. I think yeah. So uh if you if you think this is the start of the end, then gosh, guys, uh you need to get a grip of what biblical end times looks like.

SPEAKER_02

And um and if things change and they do end up in uh biblical end times, believe you me, me and Cameron have talked about it. We'll like you you see all those white picket fence people, the with the you're going to hell, which I don't think is a great way to say it, but like people that are like the end times is coming and all the stuff that had the fences. Yeah, if it changes, me and Cameron will be with those guys. Like, don't get like you know, yeah, we'll we'll we'll make a whole episode being like, I think like they just did um on the crazy thing is uh I don't not to call him out, but uh on Bryce Crawford's pod. Oh, I love Bryce. Just recently, um, two people that just came on uh Philip Anthony Mitchell. Oh, I love that guy. And um oh, I can't think of his name now. Bryce is it it's not Bryce, it's uh I can see his face. I can see Keenan Clark. Okay, okay, yeah. They both they both said that they believe that we're in the end times. Really?

SPEAKER_00

Which is really funny because I mean, and those are great pastors, pastors I look up to. Respectfully I disagree with them, but I'm every at the end of the day, everyone's gonna have their opinions, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there's probably pastors out there that there are things that I'm waiting for to see happen. And once those things happen, I will be on the picket fence line.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and well, maybe I have a corrupted view of the end times because I grew up in a church that really idolized end time prophecy. Man, um, I when I first got saved, like I didn't know that. I grew up in the Pentecostal movement. So they were like hellfire, brimstone teaching, like it was it was rough for me to listen to because I was scared that Jesus Christ was returning and I didn't know how to like I didn't know if I was saved, and like all this random stuff that's like they're throwing in my face, and I just don't know how to don't know how to digest, right?

SPEAKER_02

Any aspiring pastors that are might be listening to this podcast, because me and Cameron do dabble in pastoral ministry. Yeah, definitely. Um hellfire and brimstone sermons work very, very rarely.

SPEAKER_00

If ever.

SPEAKER_02

If ever. Yeah. Because like the if you want to just look hist historically, the I would say the most predominant hellfire, brimstone, I just say denomination besides the Pentecostal movement was the Puritans.

SPEAKER_00

Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_02

The Puritans caused the Salem witch trials with their hellfire and brimstone sermons. Over a hundred people were accused of witchcraft and were killed due to hellfire and brimstone preachings.

SPEAKER_00

Hellfire and brimstone preaching, and that's just that's just like, you know, I I think I and I man, I'm honestly I'm gonna say I think it's an immature style teaching.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I agree.

SPEAKER_00

I think maturity is knowing that Christ loves everyone and teaching from your heart. And I mean, I think a good example of harshness, like grace and truth, is Philip Anthony Mitchell. He brings grace and truth. He doesn't forsake truth and just to bring grace, and he doesn't forsake grace bringing truth. Like he he he completely does both. And um I think he's a great pastor. I think that's one of those pastors that I think you can look up to if you're you know aspiring to teach. Uh, even I think even in the form that like I feel like I model my teaching after Philip Anthony Mitchell, too.

SPEAKER_02

Philip Anthony Mitchell's great. Um he's one of my favorites. I like to listen to Keenan Clark's up there as well. I like his stuff, and I like I the reason I like them too is because I know we're we were talking about idols and stuff, but we're not working on a tangent. Um, I love how bold those two are.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

Like they're not afraid. Uh-huh. Like Philip Anthony Mitchell spent 20 minutes on a sermon one time, yeah just screaming at his congregation that they need to read the scriptures for themselves. Man, that's great. They can't just rely on him to tell them what the Bible means. You have to read it yourself. 100%. And that's my favorite sermon he's ever done. It's that's where the meme comes from. He's like where he's screaming, read the scriptures for yourself. It's like a 20-minute tangent that he went on that Sunday. And Keenan Clark's the same way. He's not afraid. He was one of the only people at the turning point USA rally that they did, where he spoke at that. I was like, absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It was like him and Bryce, because like all the rest of them were just like political podcasters that were just taking shots at each other the whole time. Yeah. And Keenan Clark basically told the entire place in there that moment, he was just like, if you're not right with God, now's the perfect time to get right with him. Well, absolutely. Because of all the and he used the political unrest as like a launching pad to tell people like we need Jesus now more than ever.

SPEAKER_00

And which I agree. And that's one thing our nation uh lacks in America, man. We have forsaken Christ, bro. Yeah. Like we have we have given up Christ for political correctness. We've given up Christ for political gain. Like, man, Jesus Christ needs to be the center, man. And it's so obvious that pride and pride rules America, man. And this is what concerns me is because God will lower those who bring themselves up.

SPEAKER_02

Even like the young and like we'll and I'll speak for Gen Z right now, too, because we're Gen Z. Uh-huh. Um, sorry to all you millennials and other people that are millennials. Elder millennials. Um it bugged me even when I wasn't a practicing Christian, when I was in high school, how comfortable people in our generation are with going to hell. Oh, it's it's horrible. It's so concerning. Like, even when I wasn't a practicing Christian, people would people would like say these things like, ah, I'm I'm going to hell anyway. What does it matter? And it would bug me because I'm like, are you sure that like that's exactly what you mean? It doesn't matter. I'm going there anyway. Might as well rack up the rack up the report. Right. You know, the rap sh the rap sheet might as well get long if I'm gonna get there.

SPEAKER_00

I heard a Christian tell me one time, well, if I don't sin, Jesus died for nothing. But that's not the point. Right, yeah, exactly. I'm like, and none of this is like it's like none of this is the point. It's like yeah, this is not the lifestyle you want to live. And which I mean, bro, and that's what I think. Like America, like they live with that mentality of like political correctness, political um advantage. Yeah, bro, like it in America, it's it's a it's a a prideful country, bro. Um, and I'm not talking about just like your June Pride pre like festival. I'm talking about That is coming up. That is coming up and my birth month. Um, so shout out Pride Month. No, I'm kidding. No, uh not not on this podcast. We we yeah, we'll get in that later, maybe.

SPEAKER_02

We love our LGBTQ brothers and sisters, which agree with the movement.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, very true. Yeah, um, but anyway, I'm not talking about just like Pride Pride Month festivals and stuff like that. I'm talking like the pride that rules America, like the the the pride in America, and this man, this is one thing, and I don't know how you feel about this, but like I personally just sometimes struggle with everyone telling me I should have pride for my country.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, like I understand it. Yeah, like because we do live in a country that, like I don't think I see, I think pride's the wrong word. I do too. I think pride is the exact opposite thing that we should be having. We shouldn't be proud to be in the country, we should be thankful that we are 100%, bro. Um, that we're not in a third world country, that we're not that we're not in a country that doesn't have the political independence that we do.

SPEAKER_00

Bro, you just gave me it. Like, I just feel like it's a downline from the Lord. It's like America struggles with pride and like they struggle with pride because they have forsaken thankfulness.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like, man, I just feel like I mean, that was like that just hit me from the Lord.

SPEAKER_02

Pride is such an easy sin to fall into 100%. There's a reason why that's the sin. Like, if you want to go into the seven deadly sins territory, yeah, there's a reason that that one is always associated with the King Pin himself. Yeah. Lucifer. Pride is the number Pride is the reason that Lucifer fell.

SPEAKER_00

100%.

SPEAKER_02

Pride is the reason Pride is what caused Eve to be tricked into biting the apple. 100%. Like it's such it is such an easy sin to fall into 100%. Because we're we are ourselves fallen creatures. Uh-huh. Like we like we only know our personal experiences. Like, I don't know what it's like to be Cameron. I've never been Cameron. Cameron doesn't know what it's like to be me. Um and that's kind of I think where, like I said, pride is so easy to fall into because all we know is me, me, me, me, me.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. 100%.

SPEAKER_02

And but I think that that me, me, me, me, me, me, me attitude is kind of what got us into the situation that we are in the first place.

SPEAKER_00

I would agree. And you know what I what I'm saying, and I think that if man, and this is where where we ask back to the original question, are we on the verge of idle territory? And I would say, I would say yes, because America would look a hundred percent different if all the leaders humbled themselves before the Lord and submitted themselves to the Lord. It would look a hundred percent different.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Like And and we don't mean the way that they're doing it currently, because there's a lot of people in office that claim Christianity.

SPEAKER_00

You can claim Christianity all you want, but I'm sorry, until Jesus is not only savior, but also Lord of your life.

SPEAKER_02

I always say that um it's one like saying it and doing it are different. 100%. Much like how um the like, you know, we all we talked about um yeah, like we have some friends of ours who struggle with lust, and there's people who struggle with pride, and there's things like that. And the thing that falls, like those things that you struggle where it falls into sin territory is the reaction and the action of physically going in on those things. 100%. And that's where I think like uh our current speaker of the house just got into some hot water. I don't know if you saw this or not. No, I didn't. Because he was talking about how it's hard that we need to they were talking about insider trading, which is illegal.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, continue.

SPEAKER_02

Um what insider for those who don't know political, political Austin, for a second. Um, insider trading is basically the um is an illegal act and is a uh something that is against the law, and what it is is it is using your knowledge of the stock market and your insider info to be able to use that to play the stock market and basically have an unfair advantage of the stock market. That's what insider trading is. And essentially what he was saying is uh, because there's the stuff got passed that basically full on said Congress is not allowed to do it, even though Congress has been doing it for years and it's been illegal for years, and Congress does it anyway, and nobody goes to jail, yada yada yada.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

Inside corrupt government. Um, he basically was saying that he understands why Congress people would be able to do insider training because you know they had to work 80 days this year alone already. Yeah. And they and with the salary and with the way that the country's going with the inflation and all this stuff, they need to be able to feed their families, they need to be able to, you know, take care of their bills, they have bills to pay, they have families to feed. An average congresspakes $174,000 a year.

SPEAKER_00

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_02

Like, anyway, sorry. Yeah, political tinfoil hat all gone. Um, is Trump an idol?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, absolutely. And I and I and I think I think that's kind of a broad um like uh thing for our um episode here because all presidents have been idols to some people.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, people idolize George Washington, 100% people idolize Abraham Lincoln, Joe Biden, Joe Biden, Mr. Biden, Obama, oh man. Obama, I would say he's probably if you go, if you want to go left versus right, Obama's probably the closest to idle territory to Trump on the left side. Not that Obama was bad. I thought I think Obama actually has a very similar pr presidential trajectory that Trump had.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Where his first term was fantastic, and his second term was 50-50.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and that's the thing.

SPEAKER_02

Like, um, like in his second term, he got into a war. Inflation was crazy, the stock market crashed, the housing crisis happened, um, which kind of technically started in his first term, but it really got bad in his second. Well, yeah, um, and I agree.

SPEAKER_00

And the point, the point of this point that you know, there is idols in every uh generation, every every leadership. Man, is Trump an idol? 100% he is to some. But here's the thing, and this is I think or a good a good wrap-up on this is is that is that it is up to the church, it is up to the Americans who you make an idol.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like there should not be an idol. There is no no one higher than Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is Lord. And back to your point earlier, you can you can wear Christianity, you know, if you say it versus will you do it. This I'm I'm kind of saying the same thing. You can you can say Jesus and claim Jesus as the Lord or sorry, as savior of your life, but it is one thing to claim him as savior. He's asking to be claimed as Lord and Savior. And a lot of people forsake the fact that Jesus is also Lord of their life.

SPEAKER_02

It's one or the other.

SPEAKER_00

It's always what yeah, I feel like it's always like it's a rules driven, and it's he's the Lord, and it's it's really legalistic, and there's like, you know, nothing we can do, we're sinners, the woe is me culture, X, Y, Z. Yeah, that's right. And then there's people who claim that, you know, um, you know, love is love and that the Lord is the Lord is just just my savior, but anything that he's he's speaking about, like you want to, you want to go and just completely cut that out of the Bible. You don't even talk about it because it disagrees with your agenda.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

But the true Christians are ones that will say and the ones that will live that Jesus Christ is their savior, and they're also that Jesus Christ is their Lord, ones that will know they are saved by the blood of the Lamb and the blood of the Lamb alone, and by Jesus Christ, he is our salvation. And those are the same same ones that will walk in what the Lord is doing, what the Lord is calling them to do, what the Lord has laid out as the foundation of Christian life. And so I'm I'm saying that I think in America the world would be a lot better place if leaders got low instead of building themselves up.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

But you know what? Shame, shame, shame to those who have built those leaders up. Because I'm telling you, they didn't get there by themselves. Nope. There are so many Christians that idolize President Trump, build him up as an idol, and feed his ego. Like get on your face and seek the Lord.

SPEAKER_02

A leader is only as good as its as his followers.

SPEAKER_00

Well, uh I thought it was the other way around. Followers, followers only good as a leader?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, if you're if you're a leader of something, yeah, but you don't have followers or your followers don't take you seriously, are you really that good of a leader?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I mean, that's that's the that's a valid point when you put it that way. Um when you put it that way, I I do agree with that.

SPEAKER_02

But so like you can tell, but that's what I'm saying. Like you can tell like how well a leader is doing by not only the fruit of his own, but the fruit of his followers as well.

SPEAKER_00

Well, absolutely. And I think if that's what I'm trying to say. A big thing is is that the the people who are like far white right winged have just boosted his ego. And I mean, I I'm not gonna lie, like you're part of the issue, guys. Yep. Um, and I that's funny because I voted Republican in the last election, and I think a lot of Republicans are part of the issue. Um now I would say the same about a Democratic president if the Democrats are lifting up someone and elevating them higher than the Lord themselves, like himself. Like, man, no one is higher than the Lord, and the Lord is not, and I I can say this in full confidence the Lord is not seated on his rightful throne in America.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

And I think, and maybe this is where I'll leave it also. You want to say anything else? But as a nation, we need to get low. Yeah, we need to humble ourselves and seek the presence of God and just pray, pray, pray for your leaders. Because if nothing changes, America is headed into full on Sodom and Gomorrah, bro.

SPEAKER_02

Sodom and Gomorrah, second Babylon, whatever you want to believe.

SPEAKER_00

Whatever you want to call it. Pride fills the city and injustice rules it, man. And this nation is just full of it. And I feel bad because, man, I certainly I'm I'm happy to say I'm part of the remnant. Um that I know that um I'm not building Babylon. Yeah, me, I'm building the kingdom of heaven, guys.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, me and Cameron are chilling because we know where we're going. Right? We know what kingdoms in our hearts.

SPEAKER_00

100%.

SPEAKER_02

We know, but like, yeah, guys, I would just say, like, it sounds corny, but it is so true that like, you know, uh Republicans and Democrats, like they have the donkey and elephant uh symbols. Like, you don't need the donkey, you don't need the elephant, you need the lamb.

unknown

Amen.

SPEAKER_02

That's what you need. And I would just simply my last statement would just simply be be careful um uh to fall, be careful to not fall into idol territory. And also if you feel uh the Lord on your heart, like me and Cameron did here, um don't be afraid to check your brothers and sisters on the idolization as well. Yeah. Like call out call out the idolization. Moses did that with the golden calf. Absolutely. He came down off the mountain and they had a calf and they were doing all this crazy stuff, and he threw so much so that he ended up breaking the tablets. Yeah. Um and he was like, What is this? You know what I mean? Don't be afraid to Don't be afraid to break the tablets, man. Yeah, don't be afraid to check on your brothers and sisters and make sure that they're not falling into this just as well. You know what I mean? Matthew, Matthew chapter seven, you have to make sure you make sure that the plank is out of your eye.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And right after that, it is help your neighbor get the log out of theirs. Oh, come on. Make sure, you know, check on everybody. You know what I mean? It's not just that's again, that's where that me, me, me attitude comes from. It is, it's not just I gotta make sure I'm good. It's no, it's am I good and are my homies good?

unknown

100%.

SPEAKER_02

Are my brothers good? Are my sisters good? So just check on each other, check on yourselves, guys. You know, we're ending we're ending mental health awareness month. This is you know, mental health is something that's huge in my life. And you just gotta you just gotta make sure that everybody's doing good. Yeah, because if we're not doing good, then bad stuff happens.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. And by the way, and I'll leave it at that. Ephesians 5, Paul stirs the pot. It's okay if you stir the pot. We're starting to put it. It's okay to stir the pot. But just remember, most importantly, that Jesus loves you. Stirring the pot's one of my favorite activities. That's very true. And mine too. But just remember, Jesus loves you.

SPEAKER_02

Jesus loves you, so do we. We do. Thank you guys so much for watching and listening.

SPEAKER_00

And we'll see you next time on Sunday school dropouts.

SPEAKER_02

Sunday school dropouts.

SPEAKER_00

Bye bye. Bye bye.
