Sinopsis

If the elevator doors open, and someone is belting out show tunes, singing very loudly, that's Douglas. Just wave, he loves applause. It gives him energy. He sings. In the elevator. Full Broadway. One time he forgot to press the button. He did the entire opening of Phantom of the Opera riding up, and then all the way back down.

After the elevators, his office is the second door on your right.

Got it. His name is on the door, very official. Very serious. Very, please don't talk to me before 10am. That sounds like the Douglas I met last week. Yes, it is. Douglas has the energy of a man who has seen too many spreadsheets. And not enough vacations.

If he's not in there, there's another room we call the quiet corner. He hides there when he's really concentrating.

He hides. Like a cat under a bed. Except he brings a stack of spreadsheets, and a pen he guards like it's a family heirloom.

You should knock before you enter. Always knock. He startles, like a librarian who just heard a fire alarm.
