A John Robinson, Jameer Gibbs. Your pick 101. Who are you guys taking? Make sure to drop it down in the comments down below. Hey, your 101 on the clock. Bijan Robinson, Jameer Kibbs. They're both obviously available to take. Who are you guys gonna be taking for that crucial 101 pick? Of course, we're gonna be debating it out to start it off the show. Tip, you're the birthday boy. Of course, lead us on into the action. Round one, go.
SPEAKER_03How can it not be Jameer Gibbs? Just look at his red zone report. 65 red zone touches in the last three seasons. It was his average, guys. The guy is a red zone monster. He's not that big of a dude. You would think that he's, you know, more of the lightning as opposed to the thunder that David Montgomery was, and Isaiah Pacheco might be. But I'm gonna tell you right now, Jameer Gibbs is the guy in this offense. He's the engine that gets this thing running from the backfield. And then look, I'm gonna tell you right now, um, the the Detroit Lions, they have available targets because I think that Sam Laporta is going to be one of those players that's gonna be limited at the beginning of the season because of his back injury. That's gonna allow more opportunity because we know Amon Rah's gonna get his, but it allows more opportunity for Jamar Gibbs out of the backfield, and that is why Jamar Gibbs is the pick. I you know, I I've been a Bijan guy my whole fantasy football career, but this year, this year, I'm changing my tune a little bit because I can.
SPEAKER_02You know, it is a difficult argument, and of course, I'll value my input and put it in in a later pull moment. But Nico, make the case for the homie Bijan.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, here's the thing obviously, you can't go wrong with either of these guys, but I'm very clearly taking Bijan here. I mean, you look at opportunity, uh, Bijan had a higher snap and opportunity share. He had 44 more carries than Gibbs, 11 more targets, so more involved in the passing game than Gibbs was. And Bijon was also better than Gibbs in productivity with more rushing and receiving yards, receptions, and the only metric where he wasn't on Gibbs' level was what Tip mentioned kind of those red zone touches, which meant Gibbs also had more touchdowns. When you look at his overall efficiency, Gibbs um was not as efficient as Bijan. Bijon was 10th in true yards per carry, Gibbs was 21st. Uh, Bijan was first in yards per touch, Gibbs was fourth. Second in juke rate for Bijan, Gibbs was fourth. And also, Bijan was much more elite in evaded tackles compared to Gibbs. You know, he also had a higher uh explosive rating. You know, Bijan has more of the breakaway runs last year than Gibbs did, believe it or not. And all this to say, like Bijan had Gibbs an opportunity, productive productivity, and efficiency. And his one downfall compared to Gibbs was red zone touches and TDs. But now with Stefanski in town and No Algier, I fully expect Bijan to see his production in the red zone increase, which is why I'm giving the edge to Bijan, knowing that he's gonna get more red zone work, and on top of that, is a more efficient and explosive runner than Gibbs is.
SPEAKER_02Now, let me tell you, Tip, does it hurt to go against your boy? Like you pioneered Bijan as a 101 a couple years ago.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it it did hurt, but I truly believe, like like Nico said, neither one of the players you can't go wrong with it, right? I just feel like who's gonna be more of a focal point in the offense? I think that both of them will be focal points, but I think that Jameer Gibbs, particularly in the red zone, because he's already done it the last couple of seasons. I think that sometimes you you've got players like Kyle Pitts, you've got players like Drake London, you've got Brian Robinson Jr. who can who's a thumper? So you've got those players that you also have to worry about. Bijan. I think Bijan, I think he's he's right around where his touchdowns were last year. About what what was it total, about 10 touchdowns, 11 touchdowns. That's what you're gonna get from Bijan Robins. I don't think you're gonna get that big spike week we got a couple years ago where he had 14 plus touchdowns. I think that's about his sweet spot, anywhere from eight to 11 total touchdowns. Where Jameer Gibbs, the Duke can have three touchdowns in a single game. You know, that's just the type of player that he is. He breaks home runs, and that's why it's just for me, I'm gonna go with the home run threat. Now, Bijan did help did work on his home run speed last year. It was evident in that 94-yard run touchdown that he ran uh and in championship week. So I won the championship because of that. But I'll tell you right now, man, Jameer Gibbs is just that guy. He's been that guy, he's gonna continue to be that guy in a better offense.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, now let me tell you, Jameer Gibbs averages four point sorry, five point four yards per carry. That's let me look real quick. That's fifth ever. Not like in the season, that's ever so far. He's that's Hall of Fame pace. To me, Gibbs, he is the best uh complete running back in the NFL. That being said, I personally would still go Bijan, specifically for the sole reason that uh you're drafting uh uh Gibbs for what he uh will do, not for what he has done at the 101 slot. For example, like right now, Bijan, he's been talked about 101 up their top three uh picks for the last three years. You expect it out of him. Gibbs, you haven't really drafted him that high. He was always a five through seven type of pick, five through eight, yada yada, and so on. So him being that high up, he has higher expectations. The boom games, those are just supposed to be expectated at this point. For Bijan, if he scores less than 15 fantasy points, I consider it a bad week with Gibbs. That's like uh, you know, stuff happens, but now 15 is the bare minimum for Gibbs.
SPEAKER_00I don't yeah, for me, like you know, I was looking into both, right? Obviously, and I was looking at things such as opportunity, productivity, and efficiency. Those are the big three things that I am always looking at when I'm evaluating talent, and obviously both of these guys elite top of the line. But what I found is that when you looked at a lot of those three metrics, the efficiency was standing out for Bijon in ways that it wasn't for Gibbs. Gibbs was kind of ranked in you know, like fourth through eighth in a lot of the efficiency metrics, which obviously is still elite, but Bijon's sitting up here at number one in yards per touch, number two in juke rate, number one in evaded tackles. The guy's slippery, the offense runs through him, and with no Algier, he's gonna get in the end zone for more than 10, more than 10, 11 touchdowns this year.
SPEAKER_03Well, well, Nico, with no Algier, but with no David Montgomery. I mean, I know we're not gonna sit here and and just compare Isaiah Pacheco, David Montgomery. No, it that if that that won't fly with me. So this is Jameer Gibbs backfield. I I I truly, truly, truly think that yes, uh Isaiah Pacheco will get some will spell some. Yes, he'll fall into the end zone because he's on a good offense and because he's a bruising running back. But I truly I think he's I think he's just a body there, and I think that Jameer Gibbs is gonna have the most touches in his career so far this season, and I think we should capitalize on it because after that, we might have one of those situations where it might be time to let him go.
SPEAKER_02Damn, that's tough. But of course, that's gonna be what this episode is all about. We're gonna be talking about a lot of players ADP, comparing them, pitting them against each other, and try to figure out who you should be drafting in that scenario. Because let's face it, redraft season is coming up, and you are going to be in those scenarios where you have to decide which one of these two players am I going to be drafting. So we're gonna be discussing that all throughout the year. But first, let's talk into some news and notes. Nika, up to you, guys.
SPEAKER_00We obviously got a lot to get to today. Um, but we want our audience to you know be educated with news and notes from around the league for the last week. Um, so just feel free to chime in at the end if you have anything to add. You know, I'm just gonna list, you know, anywhere between 10 to 12 uh news from the last week. So, first and foremost, Sean Payton, five-year extension through 2030. Uh Bo Knicks was a full go at training camp. Obviously, got injured last year um and missed the AFC championship game. Jalen Coker agreed to a three-year, $35 million extension incentives up to 41 mil. Uh Jacori Krosky Merritt, aka Bill, uh sitting out of OTAs for a soft tissue problem he's experiencing. Um, Kellen Moore of the New Orleans Saints head coach is excited to quote unquote get Alvin Kamara in the fold. Henry Ruggs was denied parole. George Pickens did go to mandatory minicamp, won't hold out. Obviously, that's huge for someone on the franchise tag. Matthew Golden was lining up in two wide receiver sets in camp. Uh, we have some injury uh concerns with Jerry Judy, he's dealing with a hamstring. RJ Harvey had off-season labrum surgery and obviously has been limited in OTAs. And Rasheed Rice. Y'all see the video online?
SPEAKER_03I saw him running out of that courtroom. Yeah, we've just let him play. I saw him running out of that courtroom. Everybody was saying how smart he is. Come on, man.
SPEAKER_02Like he looked shifty.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's gonna look shifty coming out of jail. I've never been to jail, but I know I'm gonna look shifty getting my butt out of there.
SPEAKER_00Fair, fair. I I I get it. And uh just a few other notes. Um, Raiders uh apparently prioritized former Minnesota Viking Jalen Naylor this offseason. They viewed it as not just a consolation prize. I know a few episodes, uh, Natter discussed Jalen Naylor as a good late best ball draft pick. So might be onto something there. Natter, Lad McConkey strained his left hamstring, and Dentavian Wicks will be a key piece to the Eagles replacing AJ Brown in recent reports. He's currently in the lead role for the wide receiver two spot. Obviously, the Eagles uh just drafted first round uh wide receiver out of USC, uh Mikhail Lemon. Um, guys, anything of that list stand out that you want to talk about before we move on?
SPEAKER_03Lad McConkey getting already straining his hamstring. Natter talked about him last week, and Natter's been all over social media talking about Lad McConkly.
SPEAKER_00And there was a comment on YouTube about them playing.
SPEAKER_03But anyway, no, Lad McConkey. I mean, dude, this is one of the things that we dreaded about him is how can he stay healthy? And you know, I I don't I don't know if you guys have heard anything, but I have heard from a little source that Keenan Allen wants to play again. And I don't know where he wants to play, I don't know who he wants to play for, but he sure damn wants to play. So um look, man, this might be a scenario they're gonna be looking at. It's a hamstring, it's early in the season. I'm not too too worried, but I mean, we are right in the middle of draft season, too. So this is something that I wouldn't knock him down just yet, but I'm just like, how bad is it?
SPEAKER_00You know, but I think we're early enough in the season. The report came out, and you know, they did say that it was in phase two of a off-season program. It's not viewed as a significant concern and expects to be ready for training camp, but it is one of those soft tissue issues where you know those things can linger at times. Um, you know, it's not it's not a bone, bones heal, tissue. Sometimes that stuff is it tends to rear its ugly head from time to time. So just something to keep in mind, obviously, as things go on.
SPEAKER_03Um, you know, just so tricky. That's the that's right, right.
SPEAKER_00And we see it with wide receivers all the time. I think for me, the biggest piece of news from that is really just Rasheed Rice getting released. You know, I'm starting to come around to Rasheed Rice being a steal at ADP, uh, as long as he stays out of trouble and the Chiefs don't punish him. The NFL has come out and said that you know they're not going to be punishing him.
SPEAKER_03Anytime we say the name Rasheed Rice, we're playing it.
SPEAKER_00Or I you but point being, you know, I've seen him dip into third round of drafts. I'm recently doing a best ball uh draft right now where I picked him up, I believe it was in the fourth round or fifth round. Again, I'm at the 12th spot, it's a slow draft, and I'm just kind of taking back-to-back picks, so I tend to forget sometimes if it's technically the fourth or the fifth. But um, yeah, just something to keep in mind. It looks like Rasheed Rice is you know ready to uh get after it.
SPEAKER_02I mean, right now, I think Dontavian Wicks being the wide receiver too for the Eagles. If that's like an actual article or actual report to be taken serious, I feel like that's a huge issue with the amount of wide receivers that they signed, drafted, and he's he's your wide receiver too. No, I don't believe it one bit. There's no chance he is it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he doesn't he can't catch, dude.
SPEAKER_00Sometimes it does sometimes you do get to a point though, guys, where you know, these rookie wide receivers don't pop off right away. I mean, you even think of Justin Jefferson as a rookie, you know, it wasn't until week five or six when he popped off and did the gritty after scoring uh you know deep touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins. You know, sometimes these rookies they take time. We saw it with Loveland last year, we saw it with Luther Burden. So not all of these wide receivers or rookie players more so, you know, are primed to break out within the first, you know, four to five weeks of a season. So just something to keep an eye on for you know potential production, if you will, early on in the season.
SPEAKER_03You know what this solidifies for me, guys? This solidifies that my prediction will come true. Saquon Barkley will have over a hundred catches this season. If that time uh Datavian Wicks is the wide receiver two right now, Saquon Barkley's gonna have a hundred catches.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. Now, now let me ask you this. Would you reach a little bit to draft Saquon Barkley?
SPEAKER_03Hell yeah, and redraft, I'm doing it. Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_02That's what we want to hear out of you.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely, absolutely. I mean, just off of that, um look.
SPEAKER_00I I'm I mean, if you could stack, say, you know, C D or Justin Jefferson with like a Saquon towards the end of the first and then early into the second, I'd be feeling pretty good about my start.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, if you can get yourself in a bona fide wide receiver one, bona fide RB one, and then give yourself the flexibility to kind of maneuver either way after that, you're sitting pretty, specifically in redraft leagues.
SPEAKER_00Okay, tip lead us. Well, what do you say? Should we uh should we head on over to the next wide receiver battle?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, let's do it, man.
SPEAKER_00Or first, sorry, first round battle.
SPEAKER_03First round, because these are players that are gonna be drafted in the first round. So this one is gonna be me again with Nico and Natter, you're gonna be the judge. So this is our wide receiver battle, amonra st. Brown for me, Jackson Smith and Jigba for Nico. Fight! Go ahead, Nico. You can go on this one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's pretty simple for me here. I'm taking JSN. Uh, JSN was first in target chair, and that was with an elite run game that the Seahawks had last year and are no longer expected to have, or as at least in a little bit of question with Charbonnet and his knee injury, and obviously Kenneth Walker um signing with the Kansas City Chiefs, which means I see even more opportunity for JSN because they will be passing more. JSN to me has a much higher ceiling and just as safe of the floor as Amon Ra Say Brown. Um, amon Ra has been known as kind of your safe floor top six wide receiver. I know he's kind of finished around wide receiver three the last couple years, which is great. He's a great first round pick, but there's more juice with JSN, in my opinion. Uh, he had JSN had more than 400 air yards and deep targets compared to Amon Ra St. Brown. JSN was fifth, amon Ra 71st. Additionally, there was a larger design target share for Jackson Smith compared to Amon Ra St. Brown, almost doubled. And I just believe that they want the offense to run through JSN this year. And the Lions have more overall weapons offensively than the Seahawks do. So I view it as JSN is going to be featured. While they're both highly productive, efficiency again is where this is a no-brainer for me. JSN was second in yards per route run to Amon Ras uh sixth ranked in that, and JSN was second in first downs per route run to Amon Ra's sixth, and Amon Ra was 60th in yards per reception and 40th in yards per target to JSN's 12th and 16th.
SPEAKER_03It sounds like it sounds to me like you're going for Amon Ross St. Mount's demise. And listen, you know, you you you you're playing with fire if you do that. I'm gonna just tell you right now because he did not finish the last two seasons as a top three. It's been the last three seasons, Nico. And not only that, he's been a top seven wide receiver since 2022. And he was his rookie season in 2021. The dude is automatic, like as long as he's playing, he's automatic, and he always plays, even through injury, he's always plays his ultimate connection with golf and say and St. Brown together. Last year alone, he was fourth in catchable targets with 129. That tells us that there's accuracy there. There's a connection, there's trust there. I believe that Sam Darnold and JSN are building some trust. Absolutely. They won a Super Bowl, for goodness sake. But let's don't forget the fact that the Seattle Seahawks are one of the run heaviest teams, and they're gonna continue to be run heavy. They're gonna continue to play great defense and run heavy. The Detroit Lions, on the other hand, they're gonna try and play great defense, but they just don't have a sound defense like the Seattle Seahawks. They're gonna find themselves in more shootouts, more opportunities to score, more opportunities for Amon Ross St. Brown. And last year, he had 172 targets. This year, I think he's gonna get to that 180 plus targets because there's gonna be opportunities for him. Three seasons in a row with double-digit touchdowns. How can you deny this? This is something that Amon Ross St. Brown has been accustomed to doing, and he's gonna continue to do it this year and beyond.
SPEAKER_02So, Tip, let me ask you real fast.
SPEAKER_03Go ahead.
SPEAKER_02Are you down on Amon Raw? I mean, sorry, on Jackson Smith, or are you just that high on Amon Raw?
SPEAKER_03I think Clint Kubiak being gone is gonna be one of those situations where I can't remember the offensive coordinator's name, but I know he's from the 49ers, um, which is a good another tree, another good tree to come from. But I just think that there's gonna be a little bit more growing pains with that, as opposed to with Amon Russ Brown, who look this year under um who is their offensive coordinator over there, guys. I I'm blanking on his oh Drew Petsing. Drew Petsing, those guys Drew Petsing's there, he's gonna go out there throwing the ball. That look at what they did last year at Arizona. He was the the most they threw the most, and I think that they're gonna do the same, one of the same, they're gonna be one of the top five uh passing teams out there again. It's just that's what Drew Petsing likes to do. He's gonna pass it to everybody, and Amon Ra St. Brown's gonna be that guy in that passing offense that gets bulk of the uh touches.
SPEAKER_00For me, there's just a little bit more juice with Jackson Smith from a deep ball home run type play that Amon Ra, it's not that he doesn't have it, it's just he doesn't have as many big play ability home run type plays as Jackson Smith did last year. And it was very evident in his, you know, a dot his he was number one in receiving yards, fourth in yards after catch, uh, first in target share with 35.9 percent. Like the offense is going to go through him. And you mentioned earlier, Tip, that you know, they're gonna try to run the ball. Here's the thing they got a rookie, they got a very mediocre RB2 in Emmanuel Wilson, who they just brought in from uh the Packers, and Charbonnet is not gonna be there. The offense is now going to go through Jackson Smith, and there's gonna be way less target competition because the Lions have Gibbs, who you talked about earlier. He we all know that he's a high end receiving threat. You have Jamison Williams, who we know can take the top off the defense, and then on top of that, Laporta is gonna be healthy. Tesla is getting a lot of love out of camp. I personally like him as well, you know, as the potential uh best ball, like late rounds uh draft pick. I just I just feel like there's more miles to feed. I think there's more upside. And although Amon Ra's floor might be just a hair safer, I think it's still close enough where it still makes sense to draft Jackson Smith over Amon Ra for that extra juice that is he has in the tank compared to Amon Ra.
SPEAKER_03Well, I you said it the more downfill opportunities, and and I'm there with you. I think he does provide that. But they also have Rasheed Shaheed too. And you got to remember Rasheed Shahid showed up in the middle of the season last year. Now he gets to go, uh it's going under a new offense yet again. So he's gonna have to learn that offense, but he's gonna at least have the offseason to do that, not in the middle of the season. So I think that Rasheed Shahid, they brought him back for a reason to scheme up plays for him. They know they're not gonna get much out of Cooper Cup. And AJ Barner, I like him as a tight end, but he's just not there yet, as far as for me for fantasy. But I I I see it's one of those situations again. Either one of them are not a bad pick. I think that if you want pure consistency week over week over week, you're gonna get it from Amon Ra.
SPEAKER_02I'm not gonna lie to you. Before this conversation, I was team amon raw. I I'm convinced, honestly.
SPEAKER_03You're still team amon raw.
SPEAKER_02No, I honestly I would draw JSN at this point because here, let me let me tell you. All right, tell me Jackson. I mean, it JSN is the short, intermediate, and deep threat. He has all three of those potential, and he's still gonna get his, regardless. Aman Ra is just short, maybe intermediate, maybe intermediate.
SPEAKER_00He's uh yeah, he's intermediate.
SPEAKER_02And he has no deep threat because you know they already have multiple deep threats on that team. Jameson Williams, the white one, by the way. And they utilize him specifically and only for that scenario. So that makes it so you're not drafting him for deep threats or big play opportunities, you're getting those half-point PP, full point PPR points, receptions, yards, and then, of course, if he sneaks into the end zone, they just have so many red zone threats on the lions, and it's it's hard for me to sit there and be like, Oh, yeah, you should draft Gibbs 101, and then also follow it up with oh yeah, you should draft Amon Ra uh over JSN in the same first round scenario. It's like you kind of have to pick your poison. If you go with one, then you kind of have to fade the other almost.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay. Would it shock you? How about this? Well, one more comment, then we'll move on. Does it shock you that Amon Ra was 84th in the NFL last year in a dot 8.1?
SPEAKER_03Uh man, I don't care. No, because he he he's one of those short intermediate guys. I like I really don't like like I'm looking at for for Amon Ra, it's more the opportunities, and that's what that's where he's gonna win, you know. And and he could have a game, he's had games like this where he's had 10 catches for 56 yards and a touchdown, but that gives you like 20 something points, so you're like happy, but he does it consistently every once in a while. He'll have that 10 for 120 and a touchdown, or maybe two. But like he's gonna consistently give you that 10 catches for right around 70-ish to you know 80 yards, but you're gonna get that each and every week.
SPEAKER_02I will say now Amon Ra, in my opinion, does have an easier schedule than JSN. JSN does have a tough division to go against. That being said, he does go against the Cardinals twice, and uh we'll discuss them a bit later.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna catch up with them. I I'm curious, do you guys look at schedules when you think about players? Like, I look at it from a week-to-week standpoint when making lineup decisions, but I don't look at it from like uh hey, I'm looking at the 17-week season here to determine because things change. People draft uh defense in the draft, they make trades, there's a lot of moving parts. So I was just curious on your guys' take. If you look at a season-long schedule and say, Oh, they have the third easiest schedule or the fourth easiest schedule, and then all of a sudden you're targeting them.
SPEAKER_03No, I don't look so I will look at strength of schedule when I'm looking at like certain players. I will look at it, but I don't base it off of that. What I'm looking at is I'm looking at week over week. At the most, I'm looking at the first four weeks of the season, especially if I'm doing guillotine. If I'm in a guillotine league, I want to be I want to off the jump, I want to be like one of the top scoring teams. So that's what I would be looking at.
SPEAKER_02I I'm looking at the the whole schedule, and more specifically, you know, the division that they're in, because you always know the Steelers, they got a good defense. I don't care who's on the defense, they prioritize the defense. The Ravens prioritize the defense, Bengals sometimes prioritize. Actually, they don't really prioritize the defense at all. So you you can kind of have a guesstimated education on how good that division will be defensively, regardless of who's there, because you know, right now the NFC West, tough division to uh on the defense. But you know, if you go to the Buccaneers Banthers, they're never having a good defense. You could always kind of slot in an offensive player there and be like, okay, he's gonna have uh manageable matchups throughout the year. So, and that, and then of course, bye week. But by week, that's a completely different story for another time.
SPEAKER_00I'm uh I'm pretty excited for this next one, and you know, I finally get to take a little break, be the judge. We're talking my Vikes. I'm excited about this one. So, in this first round battle that we got cooking, we're gonna have uh C D Lamb, who Natters is gonna talk about, and Justin Jefferson, my boy, who Tip's gonna talk about.
SPEAKER_02Me? All right, I'll I'll handle this. All right, so C D Lamb.
SPEAKER_00You've been judging a lot, you've been judging a lot. Let me judge you.
SPEAKER_02Okay, all right, deal. So, I mean one C D Lamb off the bat, cooler name. Cooler, and to me, that's already like very solved. So, there we go. Two, he came off statistically the worst year he could have possibly had, and it was still probably a career year for a majority of receivers. I mean, he had only three touchdowns last year, only three. I had to fact check that with like three different sources because I personally did not believe it at all. Like, there's no way he only found the end zone three times last year. Well, because Dark Pickens was catching all the touchdowns, he was, and of course, he did miss like four games last year. But we know we're gonna move on from that one. Still had over a thousand yards receiving 75 receptions. I mean, it's still a wide receiver one on that team, and everything else went against him. Now, you go into this year, clean slate. You know, he's going to have more touchdowns. There's just no physical way that he ends up with three touchdowns again, like he did last year. He's not Julio Jones, he's getting more than three touchdowns, and of course, a thousand as his floor when it comes to receiving yards. Give me that all day. You're gonna have consistency with a top quarterback for fantasy purposes in Dak. Remember last week's episode or two weeks ago's episode, I said Dak is going to be QB1, and if that is the case, then you're going to want to get C D Lamb, who he's gonna be throwing it to on a consistent basis. A thousand yards floor, 70 reception floor, three touchdown floor, easy.
SPEAKER_03Give me him, yeah, and give me George Pickens because I'm gonna tell you right now, Justin Jefferson. Look, this is a complete rebound year for him. We've already seen some of the comments that he's made regarding JJ McCarthy. Look, it's not pretty, it's one of those situations where I think that Justin Jefferson, the whole Vikings offense, is just going to be so much better. Yeah, I heard about the two interceptions that Kyler Murray threw in seven on sevens, the first seven on sevens. I'm not worried about it. He's got to get his mind right through the offense, through what Kevin O'Connell wants to do for him. And then I'm gonna tell you right now 160 plus targets is what I'm looking for with Justin Jefferson. Last year at a career low 141. That's still not bad. Like if you still look at it, you're like, wow, that's still higher than most wide receivers, right? But he has an elite ceiling. And I think with Justin Jefferson on board, he was frustrated last year. You can see it on the field, you can see it on the sideline. I'm pretty sure you can even see it off the field, or you can hear it in press conferences. He was very, very, very frustrated. And I think this year, with a better quarterback in Kyler Murray, yeah, I said it meater, a better quarterback and Kyler Murray. That I think that Justin Jefferson is in target, is in line for, like I said, 160 plus touches. And then look, I'm gonna tell you one last thing. Justin Jefferson is a type of player in Dynasty, he's a cornerstone player. You do not move this type of player because yes, this offense, once they get it together, once Kyler Murray, who again who I think is going to really show this season, once he gets it together, and once this offense gets it all going, gets it, gets where we need it to be, Nico. Because you know that it's look, it's a Viking, you're the Vikings guy. So once we get it there, man, I I think that Justin Jefferson will overcome CD Lamb because, for the simple fact, CeeDee Lamb has a lot to worry about, guys. He has a lot to worry about with Jake Ferguson, he has a lot to worry about with George Pickens, another guy who's on a franchise tag, another guy who wants that money. He's saying all the right things, doing all the right things. You're gonna see the best just uh George George Pickens that you could possibly see, just like we saw last year. So I think George Pickens isn't going anywhere, and that's gonna take away from CD Lamb. And don't let me talk about Ryan Flonoy is as well. He's another little sneaky weapon that people are forgetting about. And if one of those guys goes down, that's a guy we should also be thinking about picking up.
SPEAKER_02Oh man, it's so hard that you talk about consistency with like Justin Jefferson and take it seriously because, like, like what happened last year with the model of consistency. No, no, no, no. Look at his stats last year. Look at his stats last year.
SPEAKER_03Last year, uh okay, besides last year, he's a model of consistency when it comes to the wide receiver. It was all predicated on one play, one player, and one player only, and we know who that is.
SPEAKER_02Dog water quarterback. Guess what? They didn't really upgrade into that much of a upgrade. They upgraded enough. I think they upgraded enough. Not enough for me to sit there and be like, oh, you know what? Let me spend my first round pick on an inconsistent receiver. Cd Lamb is the model of consistency when it comes to elevating high play potential. You are drafting somebody at the first round uh to be a cornerstone of your team, and you need consistency in that position. If you draft Justin Jefferson and he doesn't live to that potential, your season's over. That's it, it's over. Cd Lamb hit again. His bad year is still a wide receiver, one potential. Like, there's like why stress yourself out in trying to go for that upside when it's the first round, there is no upside in the first round. Get the guy who's going to be consistent on your team. You can draft the upside later in the rounds.
SPEAKER_03You know what it would have been a case close matter for for me. You know what really got me is if you would have said, because this is the thing, the only reason I feel like Cd Lamb could be better than Justin Jefferson is because of the connection he has with Dak Prescott, and we don't know what the connection is going to be like with Kyler Murray. So so that is the that is the one I would say plus that CD does have over him. We know what CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott can produce.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you know, when it comes to like stress and anxiety-reducing type of player, CeeDee Lamb is that type of player. So when you go and draft yourself a like hypothetically, Garrett Wilson, you're like, you're putting him in your lineup, you're going, Man, I really hope they don't shit the bed today. It's probably gonna happen. And with Justin Jefferson, it happened more often than not last year. Now, yes, okay, they upgraded slightly in the quarterback position. It doesn't matter. You could shake and bake your guy, you could get open, you can get seven yards of separation. But hey, if the quarterback can't get it to you, it doesn't matter anymore.
SPEAKER_03Well, when you talked about a quarterback upgrade, so oh, go ahead, Nico.
SPEAKER_00I was just ready to judge. I yeah, go ahead, Mike.
SPEAKER_03What's your answer?
SPEAKER_00Give me the birthday, boy.
SPEAKER_03Of course, because you're Minnesota's Vikings fan.
SPEAKER_00No, listen, um, you guys both made a lot of lot of great points. I mean, obviously, you know, there is a little bit of risk uh with both of these guys, those first round picks, that's why they're going a little bit later in the first round. Um, but when you look at Justin Jefferson's uh 67.4 percent catchable target rate last year, which is ranked 63rd in the NFL, like his best games of the year was when Carson Wentz was under center. And I think all we can all agree on this call or on this uh show that Kyler Murray is at least better than those two options, and George Pickens is still elite, Jake Ferguson's still a red zone threat. You know, I think they're both good options, but I'm rolling with Jefferson on this one.
SPEAKER_03All right, so you know, you talked about earlier some quarterback upgrades, and I don't know any other wide receiver that could be picked in round two. Name that this guy, I'm not gonna say his name, but this guy has had a big quarterback upgrade. And Nico, this is your guy, and then you're gonna be going up against Natter's guy, who actually may not be Natter's guy, but we're gonna find out anyway. And I'm gonna judge between these two round two.
SPEAKER_00So we're going with some second round wide receivers, second round wide receivers.
SPEAKER_03Go. All right. Where's the gong? I it I pressed it. There we go.
SPEAKER_02Do you want to start it off?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'll go first. Uh, I'm taking AJ Brown here uh over Drake London. I think this the big playability um that he has with Drake May is going to be unmatched. It's it's to the moon. Uh, May is a better quarterback than any lefty that the Falcons try to throw out there. London has finished in the top 10 once in his entire career, while AJ Brown has done that twice and top 20 four different times. So the way I see things is London's currently being drafted partly on what we hope he becomes, whereas Brown is being drafted based on what he has already been. He has shown he can win deep, win after the catch, dominate in the red zone, and produce elite weeks without needing 12 targets. London may win the target share projection. And we talked about it a few weeks ago about how I feel Brown's uh target share is gonna go down, but his production is gonna go up. And Brown can win on fewer looks because he is one of the best yards per target, big play, contested catch receivers in football. Overall, you know, I know last year was frustrating for AJ Brown um managers, but I like Drake London, but I'm still taking AJ Brown straight straight up uh based on you know what I feel Brown's case is in regards to talent, efficiency, touchdowns, and an in an offense that I just trust a lot more than you know the couple of lefties that they have down there.
SPEAKER_02Man, you know, the problem is that that's such a compelling argument, but I still gotta go with my boy Drake London. I mean, is he your boy? Okay, that's a different story, but right now he's my boy. Right now he's my boy. But Drake London, he was in the middle of a top three finish, and it wasn't number three last year throughout the first 10 games of the season, and then of course, injuries just cut that season short. And of course, that was with I can't like I don't even know the quarterback's name, Michael Penix Jr. That was his quarterback, and he's in the middle of a top three finish. All right, I'm not gonna hear and tell you that Tua is that much of an upgrade. If anything, I almost want to say it's a downgrade. That's just how much I dislike him. But of course, this adds a little bit more consistency to the quarterback position where you know who it's gonna be throughout the year, making it so he's gonna get peppered with targets, he's gonna get peppered with opportunities, and more importantly, he's gonna get peppered with red zone looks because you know once they get in the red zone, they're gonna start putting uh eight, nine, maybe even ten people in the box to stop that legendary 101 RB in B. John Robinson. So you know he's gonna have 101 opportunities on the outside, and he cooks man coverage. Like there is actually very few wide receivers that cook man coverage, he is one of them, and that makes it so he has always an opportunity to get that ball into the end zone, making it so he just got his four-year extension, and now he gets extended to my fantasy lineup.
SPEAKER_03Okay, fellas, you guys both make some really good arguments, but you know what? I'm still gonna stick to my guns with the AJ Brown thing. I think that Zay Flowers is the player that last year, right? Last year, Zay Flowers finished ahead of AJ Brown. I think it happens again. I think that this is a situation where AJ Brown, you know, there were several teams that were looking out for him. One of those teams, I read a report, one of those teams was the Los Angeles Rams. The Los Angeles Rams were a little bit nervous about his knee, and that's one of the reasons why they went after, instead of pursuing AJ Brown, they went after them after Miles Garrett because they felt like not only could he make more of an impact, they already got Puka Nakua. They've already got Devontae Adams. Who I know Nico, myself, Nader, I don't know about you, but we're not too high on Devontae Adams, but they still got him, they still got Terrence Ferguson as well. So AJ Brown for me, I there's there's there was one red flag with all of the the stuff that's uh going on with um you know how many targets the Patriots now have. Now there's another red flag with you know, possibly his knee. So I just I'm just pumping my brakes on AJ Brown right now, man. So it's Drake London for me all day.
SPEAKER_02Wait, hold on. Wait, you you're giving me the nod? Oh, at first you said AJ Brown.
SPEAKER_03No, no, I said AJ Brown is not for me.
SPEAKER_02No, okay.
SPEAKER_03No, it's not I'm gonna stick to my guns with it. Like, because I said at the beginning, yeah, boom me, boo, boo, because you know I'm right.
SPEAKER_02Oh man, the problem is I I am a huge AJ Brown guy. I think he is I don't know why I'm not underrated right now, and that's weird to say I feel like his ADP is completely uh underrated. But the good thing about London is he has no competition on the wide receiver side. Like, if you're telling me he's in competition with Kyle Pitts for receptions targets, that's no competition. Like it is him and him only.
SPEAKER_03I think well, wait, AJ Brown?
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. Sorry, Drake London.
SPEAKER_03Oh, so wait, uh so so yeah, the other thing too, I think Hunter Henry, I think we're forgetting about him. I I also I read another article because I'm I'm I'm writing an article on on Hunter Henry right now. I I read an article just yesterday, and that said in that article Coach McDaniels was a little upset in the way the offense was ran last year because he felt like Steve, uh Stephon Diggs, and he felt like uh Hunter Henry got in the way of each other. And now that helps with AJ Brown bringing over there, but I think it helps more Hunter Henry so he can be in the middle of the field while AJ Brown tries to cover some of the outside work. So I I I man, I'm I I'm just a little bit more down on AJ Brown than some people.
SPEAKER_02I agree.
SPEAKER_03All right, all right. So, guys, I think we got a commercial. Let's go ahead and get to the commercial. All right, so that was Golden Watt. You guys will have yourself a golden time. Go get yourself some golden watt, goldenwatt.com. All right, guys. So I think that we have the next segment. You know what? I the the this of that segment is fun, guys. I think we need to continue on to that because we have some more players that we that we have. We have round three players, round four, round five players as well. So we'll get to those in the upcoming weeks as well for uh for that. But we got to talk about sloppy seconds. So this is sloppy seconds. What this is, this is second round players, second year players, excuse me. These are players that were rookies last season that were supposed to have good fantasy seasons, but for whatever reason, it was sloppy and their play was sloppy and their results were sloppy, but we feel like they're gonna change that trajectory this year and they're gonna be they're gonna outweigh their ADP. So we're gonna start with Nico because he's got two really interesting ones.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and uh first and foremost, thank you to our sponsors over at Golden Watt. Uh, if you're looking for a golden time, um, they have one heck of a drink. Go check them out. Uh, can we get someone to drop the uh the link to the website in the comments? Maybe maybe someone's got a party coming up or where they need something like that.
SPEAKER_03I got it.
SPEAKER_00I got a couple bottles sitting in the back here. Maybe if we weren't on a three screen, I might be able to pull it up. But uh, anywho, second year players who really just disappointed us last year. Year, but I believe are prime to break out um and crush their ADP this year. The first player is Cam Ward. Cam Ward, obviously high draft capital, the uh in the 2025 draft, drafted by the Tennessee Titans. He went to Tennessee with absolutely nothing. He had Pollard, Tajay Spears, who was dealing with an injury, and a bunch of wide receivers that you know didn't necessarily have super high draft capital. He had no supporting cast. Now, this year, he gets a offensive coordinator, Brian Dayball, who worked with Josh Allen. Um, he worked with Jackson Dart and made them both extremely fantasy relevant. On top of that, you go ahead and you use your first round draft capital this year on Tate, who is an absolute monster. Uh, he was a monster at Ohio State, and I believe he's going to be elite at the NFL level. Drafted him within the first and with their first round pick. And then on top of that, you go get a guy that I know Tip loves because he talked about him last week, is Wandell Robinson, who is kind of a PPR machine. You know, I'm not gonna sit here and say he's you know the most efficient wide receiver, the fastest, the biggest, anything like that. But we know that he's a target hog. And on top of that, reports have come out that they want Cam Ward to use his legs more. And what do we what do we love in fantasy football from the quarterback position? We love rushing upside. So Cam Ward, right now, I know Tip even talked about him a little bit last week. Um, if you can snag him as your QB2 in a super flex league, I'd be feeling really good about that.
SPEAKER_01Man, that's a tough one. Well, Tip with his mic muted.
SPEAKER_00Unmute yourself, sir.
SPEAKER_03Um, well why why is that a tough one, Natter?
SPEAKER_02Oh, sorry. No, I was I was la making fun of you for muting your mic.
SPEAKER_03Oh, oh, that's a tough one.
SPEAKER_02I stole them on I stole them on the mic.
SPEAKER_03I see you. That's funny. Oh, see, people see see people on audio won't get that one. So, uh, okay. I got it. I got it. I got you. Okay, my second player. Yeah, this is your second player.
SPEAKER_00My second player is Tyler Warren. Uh, this one's pretty basic. He was elite. Um, target hog when Daniel Jones was healthy. All reports are indicating that Daniel Jones has been, you know, participating in um some of the early on um offseason um things going on for the Colts. And listen, he's a PPR hog. Michael Pittman shipped out of town. A lot of potential for um that. On top of that, Alec Pierce uh is dealing with an injury as well. He is expected to be ready for the season, but at the same time, even with Alec Pierce, he's more of your deep threat. He's more of your I know he's working on his route tree to be more effective in the short into intermediate routes, but that's where war Tyler Warren is gonna thrive. He was elite first half of the season, and obviously things kind of fell apart for him, you know, once Daniel Jones got injured. So, you know, perhaps that has caused him to fall in ADP. Right now he's kind of at the back end of those tier one tight ends, but he has it in him to be up there, maybe not as much with Bowers and with McBride, but definitely up there with Loveland. Um, and I just feel like he's great value. I feel like you know, he's gonna break out in a big way this year. And I put him here because there was some disappointment towards the latter part of last year where fantasy managers had him, obviously, then were very disappointed by his final you know six weeks of the season.
SPEAKER_03And you had an honorable mention as well, which is another interesting one.
SPEAKER_00I do, but I want to hear what you guys got.
SPEAKER_03Oh, by the way, you want to skip your honorable mention?
SPEAKER_00I'll tell it for the people, it's Jaden Higgins, but I am interested to hear who Tip and Matter have as their sloppy seconds.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so for me, my sloppy seconds players Emeka Abuka. Uh, it's you know, he's got a clear path. Last year, you just talked about it with Tyler Warren. Maybe they he hit a rookie wall. Maybe that's what happened with uh Mecca Abuka because we remember what the first half of the season was like. The dude was scoring at will, the guy was just a touchdown and points, fantasy points machine. And then he started to hit that wall, especially when Mike Evans was down and he was called to do a little bit more. Then we saw some sloppy play. We saw some of those rookie mistakes. Did he hit that wall? Maybe, but I think there's a clear path to a larger role right now. Everybody already already talks about his maturity level, so you got to understand he's gonna come into the next season of his life as the guy on the passing offense. He's gonna come more focused, he's gonna come ready for to prepared to take on to that next level. So he is a steal at his ADP because I think that we could see that throughout the whole season. Remember, Baker Mayfield's looking for some money too, so that's gonna be just some even more incentive for Ibuka. Then they have they have been working on their chemistry together, him and uh Baker Mayfield. So they're they're looking to take the lead together. And Baker Mayfield is one of those players that you know he will take a player under his wing, he will take a wide receiver under his wing. He did it with Mike Evans. Remember when all when Mike Evans when they made the transition from Tom Brady to Baker Mayfield, everybody was like, oh my god, Mike. And Mike Evans still did his thing just because that's who he is, that's who Baker Mayfield is. Baker Mayfield is still a dog, and then he also has a versatile skill set that's conducive and works really well with fantasy. He's a PPR machine, he can get over the top, he can get those red zone catches, he's got big size, big frame. I think a Mekka Buka could be one of those players that get you double-digit touchdowns this season, and you don't look back. He's just that player you're gonna be playing for years to come. My second guy is Kenshawn Judkins. And this guy right here, we saw what he did. The only thing that was really sloppy was that he got hurt, he got injured because other than that, he would have been he would have been uh a force we reckon with the whole season and was a force. And I think that he's gonna continue to be a force this second year of his season, as long as he can stay healthy. I'm really I'm thinking that there's a couple of offenses that a lot of people are dogging, a lot of people are talking about, and I think that the Cleveland Browns are one of them. I think when the season's said and done over with, I think this offense surprises people a little bit. I'm not saying that they're gonna be a world beater, a top 10 offense or anything like that, but I think that they'll be in the middle of the road and they might sit, they they might show you guys a little something. I've already heard Todd Monk's butt's on the hot seat already, so that may be more incentive for him to get his installations in quicker, to get who he wants to be as his starting quarterback, who we think is just watson, get him going and get this offense rolling as soon as possible. And I think Que Shah Jackson's will keep Judkins will keep it rolling too. Matter, what about you, my guy? Boom, goes the dynamite. There it is.
SPEAKER_02Man, you know the problem.
SPEAKER_00I uh one one second. Sorry, I just want to throw in. I just really hope Judkins starts to show some receiving upside because last year he was taken out in a lot of game flow moments where the Browns were down, which we know they're down a lot. So just one nugget there that I wanted to share. I just hope that he gets uh some of that receiving upside this year. He was a threat doing that at Ohio State.
SPEAKER_03So, anyways, I don't think I don't think he really, I don't, I don't think that he really does matter or Nico, because you've got you've got Harold Fannon Jr., you've got um you've got the two rookies, uh Boston and Concepcion. Uh Jared Judy, who I know we're talking about the hamstring. I don't think he really gets done uh against a lot of work in uh the passing game, unfortunately, but I think he's such a force to be reckoned with in the run game.
SPEAKER_00I think that he doesn't, I'm saying I hope he does.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. I mean, of course, you you want him to get you want him to get that, but I I think that he's gonna be just fine without that opportunity.
SPEAKER_02The issue with Judkins. Well, I think he's like a great player. One, he's on the Browns, like Nico said, and at that point, you should already cross him off your draft list.
SPEAKER_03No, don't do that, don't do that, people. Don't do that.
SPEAKER_02Uh, you know, unfortunately, he does have the ability to get completely game scripted out of the game, and because of that, it makes it kind of difficult to draft. But Jackson Dart is the guy I want to talk about here because I mean he is the quarterback, obviously, for the Giants, and he had a, in my opinion, a pretty decent start to the season, but they kind of started to taper off. I mean, he finished QB 14, averaged about 17 points per game, and surprisingly, he did better than people like Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, Jordan Love. Um, not surprisingly, he did better than people like uh CJ Shroud and JJ McCarthy and all that stuff. But I mean, he had a respectable season, but it definitely could be a lot better. I mean, he's got that dual threat profile to him. You know, he's gonna run the ball. He has a coaching system around him now that you could say sets him up potentially to succeed. At least I'm rooting for him too. And because of that, he also has, I would say, a weaker division, and where probably only the Eagles realistically have a good enough defense to really give him issues. Other than that, he's gonna have uh what is that, six other matchups in the division that look pretty favorable throughout the year. And I know this is kind of a weird take, but he does play on turf a majority of the year, so he's always gonna be uh in uh uh uh running fields, if that makes sense. Uh and because of that, he's always gonna be able to have the ability to take off and cut, glide, and maneuver. That is, I'm not gonna say more difficult, but it's easier than doing it on grass fields, if that makes sense.
SPEAKER_03No, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Now, the second person I wanted to talk about, he didn't really even have a bad year. But the problem is, is you guys took the good ones, and then I couldn't find anybody that I was like, okay, I want to talk about this guy.
SPEAKER_03Well, you should have talked about it.
SPEAKER_02I Astrid. No, no, he didn't like he had a disappointing season, but like it wasn't that bad where it's like oh, he was a couple of disappointing, though. Yeah, disappointing, but you should have saw it coming. He's on the Raiders. Like, if you drafted him, that's your own fault. Anyway, Omarion Hampton, he also didn't have the worst of the season. He was injured, he had issues staying on the field with Najee Harris, so on and so forth. But it definitely was that type of a slump that you expect so much more out of him this year. I mean, he averaged about 13 yards, 13 and a half points per game, half point PPR, still finished RB16, even though he I think what played like nine games or something like that, he did not play much of that year. And because of that, he is somebody that I'm heavily targeting, specifically because he could do so much better with the Bell Cal status, with the full season under his belt, with the offense that he is now going to be in, making him a target that I want.
SPEAKER_03When has Mike McDaniel ever had a Bell Cal?
SPEAKER_02Um, I would Devon.
SPEAKER_03He's not a Bell Cal. He was not a bell. He had he had about okay. Devon A chain, I would say on average, in the in the in the last, I would say he probably had 14 touches on average. I'm just guessing. I'm thinking it's probably about 14. That is not Bell Cal. But let's talk about total touches. 16 touches touches, touches, okay. He's get he gets touches. The 16 is still not a Bell Cal.
SPEAKER_02If you what play 50 of the snaps, you are a Bell Cal. 60 of the snaps, my personal opinion. There's no like stat on it.
SPEAKER_00Well, for what it's worth, a chain was 76.3 percent snap share on the field a lot, six in the NFL.
SPEAKER_03Um okay, but uh okay, okay. So we gotta define what a bell cow is. That's maybe for another show. Because for me, Bell Cal means opportunities to you. You got the not how many times you're on the field, I can care less about that in fantasy. I want well, I should take that back. I it's not that I don't care, I want to see how many opportunities you are getting. That is the meat of the story.
SPEAKER_02If you're on the field, you have an opportunity.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, of course, but are you getting the opportunity? Because sometimes you got guys who are on the field just being a decoy.
SPEAKER_00See, I think Tip is tip is thinking of your stereotypical Derrick Henry that's getting the ball like 25 times a game on the ground only, and worse thing, a chain. Yeah, although he was averaging like 14-15 carries a game. I mean, he was also averaging you know 5.3 uh targets per game. So, I mean, you're looking at about I mean, sure, he doesn't convert on all five or six, but he's looking at like you know, 18 to 20 guaranteed. It might not be Bell Cow Bell Cow, but I'm just saying McDaniel knows how to get his running backs the ball in open space and let him eat.
SPEAKER_03I okay, I know okay, okay. We'll we're we're gonna save that. You know what? Amara Hampton's he's gonna come up next week. All right, but I already know it.
SPEAKER_02All right, so before we move on to the segment, uh tip, I want to not use your argument against you, but I got a scenario for you. Okay, now would you rather have Mike McDaniels coordinating your receptions? You're gonna get you're a wide receiver, you're gonna get nine targets from a Mike McDaniel offense with Justin Herbert as your quarterback, or would you rather have AJ Brown on the Eagles still his nine targets with Jalen Hurts? Which one would you rather? Knowing a majority of those targets are gonna be deep balls that are about five yards over thrown, and it's still technically in the stat sheet counts as a target, but you're like, that wasn't a catchable target. Not all targets are the same. Justin knows that.
SPEAKER_03Man, I think so much of this was all Kevin Patulo's fault. I'm sorry. I I think a man, if we can open up that can of worms if we really want to, but I think all of it trickled down from Kevin Patulo, all the way down from AJ Brown, all the way down to Jalen Hurts, him and that them two not getting along. It just was a shit show, and I think that's what it was. I think that if AJ Brown would have stuck it out, I think he would have been fine because I like Sean Mannion. But other than that, let's go to the next segment because we could really, I'm telling you, we could open up some cans.
SPEAKER_02Oh god, yeah, we will at some point open up that can because I think that opens up a phenomenal discussion on targets and then valued targets or meaningful ones. So that's a topic for next week.
SPEAKER_03Already got it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, oh, yeah. So, right now we're gonna do the multiple uh award-winning segment of catching up with the Cardinals because I know everybody that they just want to know what the Cardinals are up to, and let me tell you, let me tell you, it was not difficult um to find a topic that was really sarcastic, by the way, people, and but the best topic of discussion. I have to hold my phone close to my face for this. Um, Arizona Cardinals, Michael Fur isn't ready to name a starting quarterback yet, and his focus is on the team.
SPEAKER_03Um, like well, that's part of your team, bro.
SPEAKER_02Like, yeah, buddy. Like that was one of the worst statements I could have ever like read and seen and analyzed in my life. Like, God, like really, Brissett has competition.
SPEAKER_03No, like catching up with the Cardinals, guys. You got you know what you gotta do, you gotta listen to these coaches' interview because you can really coaches, you know, post post conferences or whatever, press conferences, so that way you can see how much in over their head they are. I think Michael Four might be one of those guys.
SPEAKER_02That's terrible. That's terrible. I mean, the Cardinals, they're just a poverty franchise, terrible franchise.
SPEAKER_03I I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna go to say that because uh look, man, I'm not gonna go to say all that. We still we like we like you, Haywood, but we're gonna be talking about catching up with the Cardinals every week.
SPEAKER_02Oh god, but alrighty. So let's see, let's give ourselves a closing statement. We are rapping actually, we just hit the hour mark right on the dot. So, of course, hey, give your guys um, you know what, tip? We'll start it off with you. You are the boat birthday boy, but tell me who you're most excited about.
SPEAKER_03Uh, this season, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Let's hear it.
SPEAKER_03Man, there's a lot of people that I'm excited about, but there's no person that I'm more excited about than right now, Kenneth Gainwell. I think that he I've been reading up on him. I wrote about him just a few days ago. Kenneth Gainwell has already it's he's about to seize this opportunity and be the number one option in Tampa Bay. And Bucky Irving will still be there, but I think that he's gonna be the 1A, the 1B, the goal line guy. Kenneth Gainwell's gonna, he's he's gonna give him some money, so run for his money.
SPEAKER_02There we go. Uh, now what is one player you're avoiding at all cost?
SPEAKER_03Um, Sam Laporta. Uh, that's another guy that I wrote I talked about as well. We talked a lot about Detroit Lions today. Um, I feel like we probably will talk about them quite often because they're a good fantasy team. But you've got Isaac Tesla, you've got Amon Ross St. Brown, you've got Jameer Gibbs, you've got a bad back with Sam Laporta, you've got a lot of things. Excuse me, you got a lot of things coming up. Um, thank you. You've got a lot of things coming uh that that are on the the the negative side of Sam Laporta for Sam Laporta, and I think that that that could be um a recipe for disaster, and then not only that, we talked about tight ends Tyler Warren. You've got a lot of different tight ends out there that you could choose from that you don't even need to go Sam Laporta's route. So uh so I I'm staring clear of him right now.
SPEAKER_02There we go. Now, Nico, same for you. Who are you most excited about?
SPEAKER_00I mean, besides the Vikings, obviously, um, and everything we got going on right now. Uh, from a fantasy standpoint, and I hate to say this, but that's how you know it's true. Um, it's the Chicago Bears offense. It's Caleb Williams, it's Luther Burden, Colson Loveland. I mean, we've talked about I don't want to say my obsession, but we've talked about the Bears over the last couple weeks, and I've talked a lot about how I feel about that offense in general. I love Swift, um, Caleb Williams. I think you know, at cost, Luther Burden and Roman Dunsey are great picks as well. So, from a fantasy standpoint, uh, those are some teams or players that I'm most excited about. And one player that I'm absolutely avoiding at cost, no questions asked, is Natter's boy Malik Neighbors. Oh, yeah. There's rumors now where he might miss like the first four or five games of the season. Oh, okay. Like, I'm not even convinced Jackson Dart is an elite thrower of the football. I think he's still got a lot of fantasy upside with his rushing and what he's able to do there, but I'm not yet convinced of that. And combine that with the injury and everything. Malik neighbors, stay away.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, fully agree on that one. And now, real quick, Territory. I can't say his name, I shouldn't have picked him. Peteroa McMillan. I'm super excited for him. I think another year under his belt would be huge, and I think he's gonna start inching towards that wide receiver one territory. So I think he's gonna be a great value pick in a lot of fantasy drafts. Somebody that I am avoiding at all costs. I feel really bad saying it because it's super contradictory of who I just talked about earlier, but Drake London, completely avoiding him at all costs, can't stand that offense, that division, that team. It's I think it'll just be man coming.
SPEAKER_00He was the best we should have flopped rolls on that one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that one we should have, because I'm huge on AJ Brown. I know you're huge on Drake London. But he doing it, I thought it was more entertaining that way. So fair fair. Um, but that those are the two that I would be picking as my guys now. For next week, we're gonna be doing a lot more of this of that. We're gonna be talking about the third rounds, some more second round RBs, and then if we have time, which honestly, I don't know with how much we really could deep dive into those players' matchups, situations, we go to the fourth round and plus. But of course, you're gonna want to make sure to hit the subscribe button, hit the like, comment down below what you think of the show, and of course, have a blessed day. Got some closing words, guys. Pace, happy birthday, tip. Yeah, happy birthday tip.
SPEAKER_03Happy birthday. There you go.
SPEAKER_02I'm not doing it. How old are you?
SPEAKER_03I am 44.
SPEAKER_0244? I would have guessed.
SPEAKER_03Hey, 44, that's me. You would have guessed like what?
SPEAKER_02I would have guessed like 17, something like that.
SPEAKER_0317?
SPEAKER_02Seven, yeah. Like, what are you in high school still?
SPEAKER_03Bro, you see the grays. Come on.
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh. All righty, buddy.
