Good morning and welcome to an episode of All Things God with John Huffman, your host. Today we're going to examine a couple of parallels in the Word. The one that really stands out to me the most is there is a way that seems right into man. It leads to death. The death here that the Word is talking about, I believe that's in Proverbs, maybe Proverbs 14. I can look it up. But that is the same death that is referred to when God said to Adam, The day you eat of this tree will be the day that you die. And so there's a parallel between the way that seems right unto man and the tree of knowledge. And our flesh is. Adam died the day that he ate of the fruit, and there was nothing God could do about it. God could not retrieve his flesh. It was going back to the earth. The wages of sin is death. He saved Adam's soul, but he could not save his flesh. He cannot save our flesh. Jesus said to the Father, I was able to redeem all that you gave to me, all but the son of perdition. People said, Oh, that's Jesus Isgariat. No, it isn't. It's our flesh. Our flesh is the man of blowlessness, the son of perdition, and the antichrist. All of them. The spirit of the Antichrist is the spirit of this world, Satan. But the flesh is the Antichrist. He's just running around, the Spirit's just running around gathering all the people who follow their flesh, who never come out from underneath him. And so my job, our job as the church is to facilitate the redemption of the soul, other souls. We can't do it if we have if our own soul is not even saved, though. Why? Because it's the Spirit of God that prompts all of it. John 6.44. John 13.8. John 13.13. It's the Spirit of God that does all the work in us. And so there's a way that seems right in a man, it leads to death. What is that way? The way is you're eating from the tree of knowledge, of good and evil. And what's the other parallel with it? Broad is the way that leads to destruction. Broad is the way that men think. How many millions or billions of Christians, Muslims, and Judaizers are there today? Ain't none of them know God. Not one. Not even one. Not even one. A bad tree cannot bear good fruit. All the works of the flesh are in the church today. Doesn't matter if it's messianic, if it's Muslim, or if it's Christian. All the works of the flesh are there. Romans 1.25. They exchange the truth about God for a lie. They worship the creation over the creator. There's a way that seems right in the man that leads to death. Get out of the church. Go home, fall on your face before God. Wait for his spirit to convict you. When his spirit convicts you, confess your sin. That's how it works. If any man confesses sin, God's faithful and just to forgive him of that sin. But if any man denies his sin, he deceives himself, makes God a liar. That's what the word says. You've missed it. You've been listening to these people, the Pope's leadership. You don't even, they don't even know God. So you couldn't know God. Big deal, they went to seminary. The people at seminary don't know God. They don't know him. They read their Bible. Big deal. So has everybody else. I would venture to say they're probably in the area of two, three billion people that have read the Bible, read the Word of God, and still it escapes them. Why? Because the Spirit of God is not in them. And no man comes to the Father at least to be drawn with the Spirit. And you can't come to the Son unless the Father ordains it. Even Jesus said in John 15, it's not you who chose me, it's I who chose you, that you might bear much fruit. We don't choose God. This is John 1 13, 12 and 13. It says that it's not of natural descent that children are born unto God, not by the will of man, not by decision, not by a husband's will, that children are born unto God. To as many as received him and believed, gave he the power to become the sons of God. Those are the people that he gave the power to become his children. Who? The ones that received and believed. Received what? Received salvation and believed. I would venture to say there aren't two dozen people on this rock that know God. Two dozen is high. I know of two other apostles besides myself, and they know God, but they don't understand the purpose of their calling. Listen, the Lord said that he will build his church and the gates of hell will not prevail yet against it. And Ephesians 2.20 says it's on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Why? Because the apostles are the ones who received the revelation. And the prophets are the prophets of old, not modern-day prophets. Listen, the world does not know God. He reveals himself every 400 years. Just like in the intertestamental period. Every 400 years, God reveals himself. Are we paying attention? Alright, there's a way that seems right in a man that leads to death. Don't follow it. Follow God, follow Jesus.
