Have you ever felt the Lord reminding you of something He asked you to do, but life, responsibilities, or even fear caused you to put it aside?

In this episode, Val shares a powerful revelation that came during an early morning encounter with God. Through the stories of the talents, the fig tree, Adam in the Garden, and the ten virgins, a common theme emerges: God entrusts each of us with assignments, and He expects us to steward them faithfully.

This message is a wake-up call for anyone carrying an unfinished assignment, delayed obedience, or a God-given responsibility that has been left unattended. God is not only looking for willingness—He is looking for faithfulness and completion.

Join Val as she explores:
• What biblical stewardship really means
• Why God inspects what He entrusts to us
• The consequences of unfinished assignments
• How to identify what God is asking you to complete
• Practical steps to move forward and finish well

If God gave you an assignment, He also gave you the grace to complete it. The question is: Will you be found faithful when He comes looking for fruit?

Hello everyone, good morning. I am coming on early this morning, um, unannounced, earlier. So I'm not sure who all is going to be with me, but I want to be able to at least come on and say, good morning. I have a very quick word that I want to release that um fell in my spirit this morning. And then I promise I'll be out of your way. So I know many of you are not going to catch me live, but I probably will see you on the replay. So whenever you join me, please say hello. Let me know you're here. Amen. I'm trying a new um software out as well. So I wasn't able to put a title and things on it, but we're gonna release what I got and then we'll worry about fixing it later. Amen. Um, so let me pray. Uh normally I pray before I come on live, but the Lord asks me to pray during the live. So we're just gonna do a quick prayer. Amen. Um, so Heavenly Father, we thank you this morning. We praise you this morning, we give you glory and honor. Lord, I thank you for the opportunity of um being able to hear what you have to say. And I also thank you, Father, that you are also releasing a word, not just for me, but that you are also releasing it for those who have an ear to hear. So, Father, in the name of Jesus, I invite you into this live stream. I invite you into this time of talking. So have your way. You speak on behalf of what you need for your people to hear. Thank you for allowing me to be the vessel in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, so this morning, when I usually get up every morning, I get up early and I go straight to my prayer room and pray. But I be honest, there are some mornings where you just don't want to get out of the bed. Amen. And this was one of those mornings. So got up before the alarm, which is probably not a good thing as well, because I said, Oh, I got a couple extra minutes, I'm gonna lay here. But as I laid, I couldn't really fall back asleep. And in my mind, um, I kept hearing the scriptures, or the I should say the story, of the master when he gave the talents to the three servants, and you had the two that did well and the one that did not. Then I also felt in my spirit the same time about how Jesus went to the fig tree and inspected the tree, and he noticed that the tree had leaves, but it was a fig tree, and he was hungry, and he went there to get figs from the tree, and there were none to be found. So he ended up cursing the tree. Those two stories or parables kept going back and forth, back and forth in my mind. And what I tell you is that when the Lord speaks, we have to be sensitive enough to know it is him that is speaking. Um so after I kept pondering those two verses. Now, mind you, I just woke up trying to go back to sleep, but yet those two verses, which I hadn't been reading anything about, were fluttering my spirit. I knew instantly it was from the Lord. So I got up and really looked into those two scriptures. And then another one popped up in my head about how Adam um was put on the earth. Um, he was given an assignment to, you know, take care of the garden, name all the animals, and he even gave Eve as a helpmate to ensure the work got done. Um, he came back as well, couldn't find Adam where he was supposed to be, and ended up as a consequence, he got kicked out of the land. So, what does all this mean? What is God telling us? And so when I was digging, trying to find out what it is that I need to be talking about, overall theme that the Lord is speaking hard and it's hitting my spirit. That's why I wanted to really come out and share. Is that the Father is coming back? God is coming back, but when he comes back, he's coming back to look at us to inspect that which he gave us. Did we do what he instructed us to do? I used to live strongly on um be found doing what the Lord has called you to do. Um, when I was in church a lot, I used to hear that so many different times. But what we fail to realize with those scriptures, and I'm gonna go into them a little bit, is the Lord is looking for you to have completed what he has told you to do. And if you're like, I'm gonna be honest, like me, when you get an assignment from the Lord and you complete it, and you're like, okay, I'm done, there's nothing else to do, but the Lord has continued work for us to perform. So, yeah, he may have given you one assignment and you've done well with that assignment and you've finished it. But now he's giving you another assignment. Just like I go back to the example of the fig tree. The fig tree goes every season. It's a season where he's um blooming, it's a season where he is losing his leaves, it's a season in the winter when he's sleeping, but then a new season comes when he springs forth. There's always a season, so there's always new things for us to do. When I looked at that more deeply, um my uh prophetess, prophetess Yolanda worldwide, um, has been discipling us, and one thing she has been definitely saying repeatedly is stewardship, and that God honors stewardship, but we are also responsible to steward well that which He has given us. Amen. And when I looked at this, I was so surprised how that word just popped up like crazy. So, what is stewardship? When you look at it from a natural and the biblical standpoint, it pretty much means the same thing. Stewardship means managing and caring for something that belongs to someone else, being faithful, managing what God has entrusted you to do. God has given us, just like in the parable of the three talents, he has given us something to do. And he is expecting us to steward it well. So when we say what does it mean by steward, that's pretty much taking an assignment that God has given you, completing that assignment. But while you're in the process of completing that assignment, you have to manage it. You have to protect it to make sure it doesn't go anywhere, keep it covered and safe, make sure no one else takes it, make sure you just don't lie it down to the side, but you have to take it and receive it and go through whatever the action steps are needing, and then you have to complete the work. And then what does God do every time we finish an assignment or a task or something he asks us to do? He does reward you for your faithfulness. I've seen it countless times, but if we need a biblical reference, let's go back to the parables with the three um, the three servants. He gives he gave them a number of talents based off of the capacity of what he knew they could do. And each time they completed the assignment, they were rewarded with double. They came in with one amount, they went and did what they needed to do, and the Lord blessed them with giving a double. But we also seen a side effect for those that were given an assignment and they didn't complete it, and there was a consequence for that as well. We go back to the first parable of the steward that the servant that had one parable, and he took it and he put it and buried it in the ground. Now he had many reasons as to why he didn't finish. There were some very good valid points that some of us use today. But the problem was he did not do anything with it, and so the Lord came back and he cursed him. He came back and even caught him.

I'm trying to find the verse.

unknown

Oh God.

SPEAKER_00

It's found in Matthew chapter 25.

And what when he was not able to take that one talent and be able to complete the assignment that was given to him, the when the when the master came back, which we know is God, in Matthew 25 and 30, he said, cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness. Look at what happened with um Adam and Eve. Like I said, Adam was given, um, in Genesis 2 and 15, it said, Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and to keep it. So when Adam was birthed on the earth, he was, you know, he was given life, he was given the assignment to tend to the Garden of Eden and to well as well as keep it. But when he ended up doing something he wasn't supposed to do, which we all know the story, he ate from the tree of knowledge and evil. He in turn stopped doing what he was supposed to do. How do we know that? Because they woke up, they said, Oh, I'm naked, they went and found some leaves and stuff to put on them, and they went hidden. And when the Lord came through the garden, they were not doing the assignment they were called to do. And as a consequence, what happened in Genesis 3, 23 and 24? So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. After he drove the men out, he placed them on the east side of the Garden of Eden, Sherburns, which are angels, and I'm mispronouncing that word, um, and flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way of the tree of life. When Adam was found not doing what he was supposed to be doing, he in turn got kicked out of the Garden of Eden. He had a very valid excuse. He did something God told him not to do. But he didn't go back and repent and apologize or nothing. He just found a way to hide and hid. And the revelation I got from that point was okay, he sinned. He definitely did something God told him not to do. But what are we supposed to do when we sin? We're supposed to go back to God and ask for forgiveness. We're supposed to repent, turn from it, and don't do it no more. They didn't do any of that. They went and started pointing fingers. Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed Adam, and they just went back and forth with excuses as to why they weren't found doing what they're supposed to do. Let's go back to the other story that was ringing in my head, which was the fig tree. When God, when Jesus walked through and he inspected the tree, the tree was put purposed on the earth to produce figs. That was his only production. We don't know the reason why that tree only produced the leaves and no figs came out of it. But that was the tree's purpose. And when he was found not doing what he was supposed to be doing, the Lord cursed it and said, No one would this tree would no longer bear anything, leaves, fruit, or nothing. And then the next day it was found shivered up and dead. Those stories came hard at me this morning. They came hard because one we know that God has placed everyone on this earth to do something, and he gave you something based off of your capacity that he knew you were supposed to be doing. What a lot of us fail to re for remember is he's coming back, and he's going to come back and inspect that which he has given you. What is it that God has asked you to do that you haven't done? And it doesn't have to be big. Is there a book inside of you that God has asked you to write? What about managing over your family? God has given you to do. And from those items, you have to have started and you need to make sure you're working to get them finished. Amen? Because God is coming back, and he's coming back to inspect those things which he has you to do, and that is what I wanted to make sure I brought to you today. I am reminded of the story of the ten virgins. And with the ten virgins, they were all given the task. So because it's going to be a long night, I need you to prepare. Grab your lamps, get ready for the endurance, and go out to meet the bridegroom. So ten virgins grab their lamps, but only five of them were wise enough to make sure they had enough oil because they didn't know when he was coming, but they wanted to be found prepared for it in case of anything. And at the end of the night, we all, what we do, we go all day and we get sleep and we fall asleep. Mind you, I got a bad habit of falling asleep, and I know I need to be working. But all of a sudden, the bell rang and the um announcer was going through. The bridegroom is coming, the bridegroom's coming. But the only way to reach to him is you got to have enough light in your oil in your um lamp to go. And five of them found themselves without enough oil. The lights went out. So the five that went out had to go back and purchase some more. But the ones that had additional oil were able to can endure and keep going and go forth until the door was open and the bride was the bridegroom was there. So I say all that to say Jesus is coming. He's coming back, and he's coming back to inspect what it is he gave you to do. I am guilty because I have had assignments I just finished, and I've got new assignments that just hit my plate that I gotta figure out on top of everything else how to get done. But I need to be found not doing the work, but having the work already done. When Jesus went to the fig tree because he was hungry, he wasn't looking for buds or anything to be sprouting to say, oh, okay, it started the process. He was hungry, he wanted to eat, which means those figs had to be finished, full, and ripe, ready for the picking. And it was none of that. So I'm not gonna leave you out here without an action plan, without a step to get you closer to completing those assignments that you know need to be finished. Because the time is at hand. Step one if you have an assignment that you know you're supposed to be finishing, let's get it done now. Or if you just don't remember, God, what assignment did you give me that I that's not finished? And then sometimes we gotta remember, we may, he may have given us five assignments, but because of the season we in and because of how long it took you to get it done, he may not even want to do the other four. He may only want to do one because that moment when he gave it to you is when it was supposed to be released. So I would pray, God, what assignment did you give me I left unfinished that needs to get done right now? Just take it to the Father. Believe me, he would tell you. Once you get it, write it down. Write down the instructions that are even going with that assignment. It's a heavenly assignment, which means he's not just gonna say, write a book. He's gonna show you what to put in the book. He's gonna show you the outline that needs to be um communicated to the reader when they receive the book. So make sure you document that and write it all down. Next step, put a plan together. Write out the goal and the task to complete the goal. Give yourself a deadline. Hey, I want to have a book finished by July. So here's the month, 1st of June, which means I gotta write two chapters a week in order to get finished, published, and launched by July. Whatever that plan is, write it down. We always quote Habakkuk 2 and 2, but when it comes to really doing it, a lot of us don't do it. It says, take the vision, write it, make it plain so the next person can run with it. Well, take what it is that assignment is, make it plain, write it down, and then run with it. Go do it. And then once you set that completion date, steward well that project. Steward it by being held accountable. Get you an accountability partner if you have to, whatever all means necessary. Steward that assignment well from start. If you say you're gonna write two chapters a week, then you need to sit and organize and prioritize because this is life. We still got work, we still got kids, we still got obligations with family. Life still goes on. But you need to seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all things shall come to pass. Let's start putting these biblical scriptures we quote all the time. Let's put them to use. Because if you walk by faith and you're saying, okay, God, you're giving me this assignment, I said I'm gonna do two chapters per week. I'm seeking ye the kingdom first, his responsibility. And because I got kids, I got work, I got finances, I got all these other obligations, all these other things are gonna be met because I'm being obedient to my assignment. It's time to put it to work. And then step five, keep God in the process. What a lot of us tend to do is when we get the assignment, when we get the action plan, when we even start committing to what we're gonna do, we leave God out of it. If God gave you the assignment, if God is the one to send doing, then I think we need to have him in every step of the way. So that means I'm still going on this book. If you got two chapters you're writing this week, you start off in the morning with praying, you start off with God, what is it you want this outline to look? What do you want me to do? Lord, how should I start my day to ensure I'm doing what you're supposed to do? Okay, and then when you sit, Lord, I'm ready to receive. Pull the download in, because I'm your scribe, I'm ready to write. Keep God in the process. And then some of us have to consecrate ourselves. So we only hearing from God and not getting distracted by the world. Does that mean fasting? Does that mean reading your Bible more? I don't know what your consecration is, but that is another way to steward the process well until you finish. Amen. And then you're gonna look up. It's gonna be, it's not gonna Be easy. Believe me, I'm sitting here now with the priority I got to do. The two more I just finished that I gotta really birth all the way into the closed, which more to come on that. And then I still gotta go to work because that is demanding in itself. And it seems like the more I press into the God assignments, the harder the responsibility comes down from work and from kids and everything else. And we are easily to pull away from God assignment because this part is screaming at us even the more. God, seek you the kingdom first and his righteousness because you gave me this assignment. Okay, give me some wisdom, whatever it takes, because I got to do the God assignment as well as be diligent on the other side. So in closing, I didn't really plan to be this long. And now it's in two parts. I gotta figure that out. But in closing, I want you to just take heed to the warning. Understand that God trusted us with whatever he gave us to do. And he gives more to some, he gives a little bit less to another. He may even give you just one assignment to another. No matter what it is, they all are still valued at the same because they came from God. And what I really, really got in my spirit is the sense of urgency that we are at a time that we have to be found completion of the assignment or assignments that he has given us to do. We have to be found that when he comes back and inspect, because oh, he is coming. He's coming, that we can, that he can inspect our leaves and find the fruit of the work that he has asked us to complete. And I'm looking forward to doing it because it's not for us that we're doing this. We are doing this one for his glory, we're doing it for the advancement of the kingdom, but ultimately we are doing this to help someone else. God allows our story, our testimony to be a benefit to those that are in need, that are seeking help. We are his feet on the ground. And we are the ones that can be a light that says God is real, he loves you, and he is here to help. That's why we do it. So I challenge you today that if you are in the process, or if you haven't started, or if you just forgot about what God has told you to do, we need to be found with figs on our fig tree. So I pray this touched you. I pray this blesses you, but I pray ultimately it gets you moving on whatever that assignment is that God has asked and entrusted you. It's a big deal because he could have given that assignment to anyone. And I always remind myself of that as well. Out of all the believers that are here, out of all the ones that are being faithful believers, Christians that's going to church and just praying and believing, he's given you specifically, you, a specific assignment that he's asking to get done. What is it to say, and we gave him a yes and amen. I think the problem is because we say yes before we get the assignment, some of us forget we said yes. We can go to God asking for our needs, but what happens when God asks you for a need to finish that he needs done for you or him?

SPEAKER_00

Will you be found faithful? Will you be that steward?

SPEAKER_01

Will you be able to take what he gave you, get it to completion, and launch it to where he wants it to go? Well, I gotta go because I gotta get to work and handle that other responsibility. But I wanted to release this to you. Thank you for taking the time to listen.

SPEAKER_00

Have an amazing day.
