You know how you just wake up some mornings and you're just not quite there mentally, but you still push forward anyway. As we go through today, today's message is if God brought you to it, he'll get you through it. Uh we hear a lot in the service that God has all situations that we go through under his control. Nothing occurs without him, first okay. So remember, I'm still in the book of Exodus. So I think we're all familiar with the famous story about Moses and the parting of the Red Sea. So the key characters in that story, of course, is Moses. You have the Hebrews, you have that Mino Pharaoh, and then you have our awesome God. So when you think about that situation, you look back and you realize that Moses had just delivered the Hebrews out of Egypt, and they were now headed out towards the promised land. And God was guiding them with as a big cloud in the day and as a fireball at night. So he was directing their steps as to where to go. So in the midst of them going on this journey, being led by God, they ended up at the sea where they couldn't really go anywhere because it was mountains on the side, and you had this huge sea in the front. And then unbeknownst to them, Pharaoh, who had woke up and said, Oh my gosh, what did I do? I let all these people go by mistake. He turned around and went after them for attack. And by the time they got to this destination, they realized they couldn't go forward because of the sea. They couldn't go either side because of the huge mountains. And then when they turned around, here comes their enemy, Pharaoh with a mighty, mighty army coming right behind him to attack the people. So we have all been in a lot of situations where we come up and we realize we are at a dead end. And we can't go forward, we can't go left or right, and our enemy is high on our tracks. They are just coming up behind us. So in that situation, it looks like if you were from a Hebrew standpoint, you start yelling, you start screaming, you yell at the person that brought you to this point. How could you do this to us? Now you got us entrapped, and we're about to get killed. We were fine where we at. And then from a Moses standpoint, he gets hit from two sides. He got to take on all the criticism and complaints from the people, and then he got to look to a God to say, okay, you got me here. What am I supposed to do? But our God is so awesome. He is so awesome because he wants you to be able to stop. And in all circumstances, even when it doesn't seem like there's an answer, we look up to him in order to direct our path. And remember that he is able to make any impossible situation possible for us. So what happened in the story? Moses sought out God and he went to him and said, Lord, what do I do? And in the midst of going to the Father, the Father instructed him on what to do in order to get out of that situation. That's why prayer is powerful when we realize it. When we see that all else that are coming at us, and we're at a brick wall and we can't move either way, and then our enemy is high on our tail. Don't stop and and and and surrender in a sense. What you need to do is take your prayers up to God. And he understands the situation. And sometimes he may have put us in that nowhere to turn type of situation just because he wants us to seek him and then step back and realize he is the father of all. Nothing is impossible without him. So when we look, the uh when Moses went and sought out, Lord, what do I do? He came back with an answer to the people who were frantic and you're scared. You got your enemies on that. Who are I mean? I've been in situations where I had nowhere else to turn, but I was fearful what was about to hit me. And a lot of times my first thought was to sit down and pray. It was to sit down and complain or go to a pastor or some sort and say, help me, help me. I need some help. So when Moses came back, he sold the people in Exodus 14, verses 13 and 14. Moses answered the people, do not be afraid. The Lord will fight your battle. All you need to do is be still. That alone is powerful in itself. Because in Deuteronomy 28, 7, the Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to defeat, to be defeated before you. They will come out against you one way and flee in several different ways going out. So that in itself is powerful because what we know what happened when the story. When Moses came back to the people and told them to be still, this is not your battle. This is the Lord's battle. He brought us here. He knew that we were going to have all these obstacles where we couldn't go anywhere else. We have to trust in the Lord. So the people agreed and they would they sat still. And then what happened? He came and he put the rod and it and it parted the rare seas. There was a strong wind from the east and it parted the Red Seas. God made an impossible situation possible. And then what did he do at the end with the enemies? When the people went through the uh dry land between the sea, the Pharaoh and his army thought they can go too. But the Lord caused his enemies who rose up against the Hebrews, they went and they were thrown out several ways. The sea came down on top of them. So my point to you is uh when you're looking back and you realize that you find yourself in a situation that you know your steps were directed because you're seeking after the Lord, or you're praying and you find yourself in a spot and you can't figure out why I am even here. Know that the Lord is directing your steps, knowing that he placed you in that situation and realize that if you stop and pray and seek his face, he will give you a way on how to work your way through as well as defeat the enemies who are coming to attack you. But we as believers, I gotta put a caveat in there to understand that when you have an enemy, you cannot say, defeat him, Lord, defeat him, Lord, defeat him, Lord, because we all want to do that. You have to pray for your enemies as well. You have to bless your enemies as well. And to me, that's a great way to defeat your enemy. You catch them by something. You don't show evil with evil, you show evil with love, and to pray for them and bless them. And then that's another great way to defeat your enemies. So hopefully, I didn't want to stay too long today, but I wanted to uh share with you about uh yesterday that I had experienced. Uh, the Lord was speaking so strongly about the importance of prayer, power in prayer. Um, I got up that morning with a great verse that kind of talked about why we pray and how we pray, and always seeking him aggressively when you're looking for things to fall from the heavens into the earth. And then from there, I always uh I got another verse about why you should pray, the importance of praying, how to pray. Remember when we go to the Lord and we're seeking his face, and we uh his verse says, I don't know word for word, please don't don't beat me up, um Bible scholars, but seek his face and um his righteousness, turn from your wicked ways, and then he will heal the land. God really wants to hear from us, he really wants to heal our land, but we have to go up to him in prayer. He can't move unless we make the first step. When we make the first step, he runs to us with open arms. And I believe what I'm trying to do with all these Facebook lives is to give you a story, make sure it's biblical, share a personal testimony, and see if you see why I love the Lord, if you see why I love to pray, and if you see the results I get out of it, then maybe it'll encourage you in your situation to try them out. All I'm asking for you to do is just to try them out. We have a great God. We have an awesome God who wants to hear from you. And if you seek his face, he will give you an answer. Just don't look for a direct word to come from you. You'd be surprised. He'll send wisdom your way from somebody you would least expect it. So have an ear open as you're listening for what to do. And then you'll be surprised because certain situations probably just naturally fall into place, like they did with the Red Sea, when God instructed Moses on what to do, and he stepped back and he saw the glory of the Lord because he went through and he turned around and opened up that Red Sea. So, with that, Jeremiah 29 and 11. Remember always, God has plans. For I know the plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. Each one of us are here for a reason, and he knows why we're here. But in order for us to identify it, we have to seek his face and get an understanding. Well, I don't want to keep you too long today. I I think this might be a little shorter than normal, but I hope it still had a powerful message for you about prayer and the reason why we pray. And I see some good friends on today, and I gotta learn my uh Facebook etiquette because I'm supposed to be calling people out. Show me some love, give me some hearts, share this broadcast if it touched you and if you know someone else that it will touch, especially those that are finding themselves in situations where they can't, they feel there is no way out. They feel that they got a red sea in front of them, they got huge mountains on the side of them, and they got the enemy of Pharaoh coming at them from behind, and they feel there's no luck, nowhere to turn, nowhere out. If you remember from Tuesday when I was telling you about the glory cloud that came out. So if God has a plan and a purpose for us, he will seek us out and he will make sure that we are refreshed and we are restored to move forward. So, with that, I am Val Mitchell. I keep forgetting to say that part two. And I hope that these are blessing you as much as they're blessing me. So if you don't mind, I'm ready to pray now. Heavenly Father, I come to you this morning. I give you glory, Jesus. I give you honor, Jesus. I praise your holy name, Father. I thank you. I thank you for waking me up this morning. I thank you for renewing my strength even right now, Father. Father, I want to reach out and bless the people that are on the call now. Bless the people that will tune in later on the replay, Lord. I want to make sure that you uh lift it up high, that you get the glory out of this. And I am just the messenger, Father. Heavenly Father, I ask that you reach out and touch those that have found themselves surrounded, found themselves surrounded and they feel there is nowhere else to turn. We ask for breakthroughs for them, Father. We ask that you step in in a mighty way, Father. I ask that you clear a path for them, Father, make their crooked path straight, Jesus. I ask that you part that Red Sea for them, Father, so that way they can walk through and receive victory over their enemy, Father. I ask that you step in and show your love, Father. Pour into them and let them know when they lift their prayers up to you, you will respond to their situation in a mighty way, Lord. And I give you glory, Jesus. I give you honor, Jesus. I praise your name, Father. Hallelujah, Jesus, hallelujah. And I thank you, Lord. I thank you right now, Father. Touch them right now, Father. Touch their hearts right now so they can feel your love, Lord, knowing that you are a helper, you are coming in and you are about to deliver them from the situation they ask. Heavenly Father, I ask that you forgive them, forgive them of any sins that they have committed against you, Father, in the name of Jesus. You said if we send up and ask for forgiveness, you will heal, you will deliver, and you will cleanse our hearts, Father. So I ask in the name of Jesus that you deliver them now, Father, that you release breakthroughs over their lives, over their situations, over their families, Lord. Cover us all with your powerful blood, protection, Lord. Father, I want to send up a special prayer for the kids, Lord, as schools are about to start across the land, Father. I ask that you cover the babies as they go into the schools, Father. I ask that you watch over the buildings, watch over the teachers, Lord, watch over the staff and even the security. Cover those buildings with your blood, Father. No shootings, no fightings, Lord, but allowing them to come through and having a safe space to learn and get educated and walk back home the way they came out that door in the morning, Father. And I give you glory, Jesus, and I give you honor, Jesus.
