John seeing the spiritual world and the natural world helped me understand Revelation better!
All right, one of the things that will help us to understand the book of Revelation better is to understand that John was seen at times in two different worlds. He was seen from the spiritual world, and he was then seen the consequences or the reaction in the natural world many a times. And sometimes it may have even seemed like he was seeing both at the same time. And let me explain what I mean by that. Well, the reason, first off, the reason that this will make uh Revelations easier is that we're not always trying to uh attribute natural things to the things that John is seeing. Let me give you a for instance. In Revelation chapter 17, John is shown the harlot that rides the beast. And let me read to you what it says here. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, Come and I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication. First off is notice that that even though John is seeing a spiritual being here, a spiritual entity that is behind what is going on on earth, it is still considered that when man is partaking in whatever on earth, all right, they are coming into agreement or coming into a covenant with the spirits that are behind that. Let me give you a for instance, when there were people that agreed with uh Nazi Germany uh in the 30s and agreed with Hitler, um, they did not realize in coming into agreement with that country and uh that leadership at the time, they were also coming into agreement or a covenant with the spirit. And so notice is that uh the Bible is contributing uh the things that man is doing to coming into a uh an actual relationship with this spirit. It goes on in verse three. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness. That's very important to see. He didn't say he took me to the earth. Remember what Jesus told us about spirits. He said when they're casted out, they go what? To dry places where they do not find rest. He takes the spirit to the wilderness. Wilderness is a dry place. All right. And I saw a woman setting on a scarlet beast, which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet and adored with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And it goes on to describe her. And so John is describing a spirit. Now, he will describe a country or a people that are being affected by this spirit or or the spirit is controlling. But he's this this here that he's seeing is he's actually seen into the spirit. Now, it's important for us to understand that and this and the Holy Spirit to give us discernment of when John is seen into the spirit world and seeing spirits, and John is seeing into the natural world. And where else we see this to bring it to where we are at today in our study, we have been studying about the four horsemen in the uh leadership. I said, you know, if you saw my other video, I talked about the leader, the different phases, the different steps of the leadership of uh the Antichrist. Remember, Jesus tells us in John 10 10, the thief cometh what? For to steal, kill, and destroy. We see the Antichrist is going through these steps. Uh, first off, he comes on a white horse. And uh this is a step of deception, and he's bringing deception to the world. And it says he has a bow, but he doesn't have arrows. Why? Because he is manipulating with political manipulation the people. What happens then? Then we see a spirit in the red horse that's coming to take the peace from the earth. This is the spirit that is behind the antichrist. This is the Antichrist. He is the one that this is coming through, but this is a spirit that that raises up in him and that uses him to be able to take the peace from the earth and raise up violence and dissension and war. Then we have the next spirit, which uh rides a black horse. Now that's the next phase of the leadership. And what we're seeing is the spirit that is behind the Antichrist. He is riding this horse in, and what does he do? He is taking control of the economy through taking control of the food supply and things. And so and so on. Then the last one stage is the stage of death, which is the pale horse, or it is in the Greek the green horse. And so we see that that writing is the spirit of death and Hades. I hope this helps us to understand that when we're reading the book of Revelation, John again is seen into two different worlds, and he's seeing the operation of two different worlds. And we have to be able to have discernment to understand when he's seeing something literal and when he's uh in this world, that is, the natural world, and when he's seeing what is going on behind the scenes in the spirit world. And there's some things that this tells us. This tells us that the spirit world is constantly controlling this natural world. The spirit world is constantly has some type of influence or effect upon this uh upon this natural world. And we definitely see where God wants us to know that it is the spirit world and his wrath and his judgments that are controlling what is going on during the tribulation period.
