The roots of the Antichrist

SPEAKER_00

All right. I've been studying in uh Daniel chapter nine, and uh uh you know many times people wonder where do we get this idea of an Antichrist, and where do we get this idea of uh, you know, the seven-year tribulation period? Well, we see in Daniel chapter nine, Gabriel makes a uh visit uh to Daniel to bring him some information about the children of Israel. We realize Daniel is in captivity at this time in Babylon, and um and but he has not lost his faith. He has continued to seek God. And Daniel turns around and gets this information from Gabriel about the 70 weeks, weeks, and uh starting in verse uh 24, I believe it is, is that he talks about the 70 weeks. There are 70 weeks of years, which means it's 490. And what the angel tells, uh Gabriel tells Daniel is that um there uh is allotted 70 weeks of years, 490 years from the time of the restoration of the temple. See, what will happen is is that when Babylon will be overthrown um by the Persian uh Empire, then um uh then then they will send they will allow uh the um uh they will allow the children of Israel to go back to Israel and rebuild the temple. Uh from that time it says the uh there will be 490 years allotted to uh the seed of Abraham. And then uh and so far into that uh 490 years, the Messiah will come and be cut off. The Messiah being uh Jesus will be cut off and not for himself. All right, he's not being uh uh crucified or cut off because of anything that he has done or because he's done anything wrong, he is being cut off uh for us. Uh obviously, you remember in John it tells us that he came to his own his own received he not, but to all those that receive him gave you the power to become the sons of God. Okay, and it says that Jerusalem will be trotted down, the holy city, and the temple will be destroyed. Jesus told them about that was coming when he was here. And in the Gospels, he talks about how that not one stone on another will not be turned over in the temple. They were trying to show off the temple to him, if you remember correctly. And uh, and Jesus turns around and tells them that this is going to be torn down in 70 AD. He didn't tell them the date, but it would be in 70 AD, and it would be the Roman Empire. And what we find is that the prince that is to come, Gabriel tells Daniel in that prophecy of 70 weeks. He says the prince that is to come, which is the Antichrist, will come from the people that trodden down the city and that destroyed Jerusalem. So the countries that were a part of the Roman Empire in 70 AD, the Antichrist will come from one of them. And then, in my opinion, I believe in uh Revelation, where it talks about the four horsemen and gives us colors for the four horsemen, gives us the white, uh, the red, the black, and the green or the pale. Those are the colors of the uh Muslim flag. So what I believe is is that I believe that it'll be that he will come from a Muslim country. All right. And um he will be, and I believe he'll be Muslim, and he will come from a Muslim country, and that he would be so then he would have been a country that that at one time uh was a part of the Roman Empire in 70 AD, but later probably became uh part of the Muslim country.
