Chelek 6; In a teshuva to his grandson, Rav Moshe addresses the age-old issue of someone who writes with one hand but uses his other hand for almost everything else.
Let's get started. The chuba we're gonna do is why Shachalik Vav's Archai and Khelik Valid's Seminy Aleph. The truba was written on February 4th, February 14th, 1980. The Tsuba was written to his grandson, Morchai Tendler. And as you see in the title, the Shailo was fairly simple. Uh he wanted to clarify and confirm that what the reporting in the name of his grandfather is accurate. They're reporting at a certain psak with respect to the classic Twillin Shiloh. We know that a righty puts twillin on his left hand and a lefty puts twin on his right hand. But what about someone who writes with one hand and does all his activities on the other hand? So let's say he's a righty in almost every area, but he writes with his left hand. Alternatively, he's a lefty in every area, but he writes with his right hand. What do you do then? Now, it's two different shilas that are obviously related, might have the same result, but it might be different depending on righty who writes with his left versus lefty who writes with his right, as we'll see. Now, obviously, this is not a new shila. Like the last triple we did was on uh civil marriage and we did on Khalama companies. It makes sense why Riv Mysha would have to be the one to resolve the Shylas. There were new Shylas and the Managadar is gonna have to resolve them. But you may wonder why this is necessary. The Shylas al-Khaira have been around since the beginning of time. Now, granted, uh, you know, society has maybe shifted a little bit in their attitudes towards lefties, but that doesn't really change the fact that there were always people, if anything, you may argue that it was more common in old in the olden days where people were forcing their kids to uh to act a certain way, and they may have ended up more confused than they are now. Who knows? Point is the Shiloh's been around forever. So why does Ramesha have to Ramesha have to deal with this? So Ramosha opens with a beautiful Akdama to really uh to really address that question. And he says, listen, I'm not someone who can be Machria between a Machik is Rishina, but we have a situation where it is simply impossible to satisfy every Shita. So someone has to answer the question, and they're coming to me. So I'm going to answer the question. Now, you know, in the ideal world, right, for example, Rajah doesn't give us an example, right? But we did do a few weeks ago, the truva of uh Rashi versus Rayutam. Rabesh doesn't have to resolve that answer. Kalyus are all resolved it. We pass them like Rashi, Rabaji doesn't have to deal with it. So you could take the same approach and just look at what the minug is and just follow that. And Rabesh says, I would love to. The problem is there is no minuch. And he demonstrates that in this agdama. And he demonstrates that by skipping straight to the end of the sugiya. Leave it outside all the Gamar and the Mishnah. Going straight to the pies game. Right? We open the Shahanach. Shocharach deals with the Shah. Shahanach says that if someone writes with one hand but does all his malach with the other, either way, the Shahanach says, Yesha'irim, you put Tvila on the weaker hand, meaning the hand that you do, the hand that you write with, because that's the weaker hand because you do most of your royal malachas on the other hand. The yeshayrim, that you go on the hand that does not do the kseiva. The kseiva is the ikar, that's the stronger hand with the karst to tvila, and you put on the opposite hand. Now, generally speaking, Russia doesn't say it's but generally speaking, when I have Yeshaim and a Yesha'im, the Sha'arch is possibly like the second Yeshaim. That's the customer brings in his cloudsaka, and that's what uh what everyone assumes here. Um, that the shulchnarch seemingly is knighted towards the shita that you put on the writing is what counts, and you put on the opposite hand. And says the Ramah, the Hokimag, that's the minak. We followed the second shita and the shulkanach that you put on the Twilim that's opposite the hand that you write with. Which the khara would be great. We have a minnah, we could stop the share now under a half hour, as I promised, and we can be done. The problem is, says Ramaysah, not so fast. Because if you look in the Dark Emisha, the Ramah says a little bit different. He doesn't say the Hachimah. He says, Beyash Lanag, you should be Nahed, like this second Sheitah. And Ramaisha says, maybe that's really what the Ramah meant, and maybe what should we should be Magia in the Ramah here, that we should that that the Ramah is being Machriya like this second Sheetah. By the way, the second sheet is the Shita of Rabbeinu Yahil. Um we should be Mahriya like the sheet of Rabin Yahil, but he was not testifying that there is actually a minak to file the Sheeta of Rabbeinu Yahil. Um and many argue. The Bach, for example, has a middle shita where he says it depends. If you're a righty who writes with his left hand, then you're a righty. If you're a lefty who rides with his right, and then you're also the righty. It only works to convert the lefty into a righty. It doesn't work to convert the righty into a lefty, something like that. Right? So that's uh that's what the the the the uh the Bach says. Yeah, the according to the Bach. Yeah. Um, according to the Bach. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right? And the Bach. But the point is, the Bach says that that's what Yhil held. He's not arguing with many Yechil. He said that's where we held. And the grah holds completely like the first sheet in the Mahabra, that we don't care what you write with, we care about what you do right malachas. So we don't have a minak says Ramashia. So maybe he'll tell me, Oh, you know what you should do? You should do to put on two pairs. Yeah, put on both. The problem is, what are you gonna do about a bracha? Yeah? Um, if you put, if you make it so either you don't make a bracha, that's not a great option, or you make a bracha, you put one hand, then the other, before you put on the shal rash, then you put on the shalarish, and you might have to take off one shalyadi as a whole. Tell me, he says, that is not a mahalikh amenagh uh um what's his lush? He says it's a tirchy serah, it's not what Rabbi Sainu did, it's not that's not an Aitzah. Now we do know, we'll talk about it at the end, but there are some people that do put on Tulin on other hands, and maybe we'll adjust it at the end. But at this stage Ramai Shri says that is not an option. So therefore, what do we do? And he says on the bottom, Shriesh Vishus, the gamhuchhiel, gamla chahmehadarzeh. Even in this generation, 1980, we have an absolute obligation to passkin, the way we see fit. We go through the suya, go through the Gomara, goals to the Rusha, you know, and then we decide. We have no other choices, not less brave, right? We have to do it. Okay, so let's take the let's go to the sukya now. Just to be clear, the suya will take hours to get through, and we're not gonna do that, because Moshe doesn't want to spend hours doing this. So so so uh so we'll just give the highlights. It's it's the luminess is incredible. Keep in mind, right? It's 85 years old at the time, it's mind-boggling. Every single step of the Gemara he's analyzes back and forth. Um, so we're gonna go uh we're gonna go straight to we're gonna summarize. Summarize what Ramosha lands. So what we didn't know is the Gemari Menachis not Laman starting the Bible, Lamin Bav, going to Laman Zai, Lam and Base. The Gemara is discussing what hand you put Tfilan on before we get the lefties. So we have a tshit of the tanakama, shart and la is alyadacha. You've put fillin' on your yad, on your yad. Says the tanakama, yad means left hand. And we brings rias from psukkim. Says Rabyisakarim, that's true. But sir yadchimikriiman, there are other psukim that yad means right hand. He doesn't give his own pshat. He just says there are other psukim. Tanakama defends himself, fine. Then the gomorra quotes Ravnassan. Ravnasan says, another Tano, Ukshar Tam, Maqshi Rabbiyamin. Uh, I'm sorry, Maxiven, just like a person who writes with his right hand, so too, he ties with his right hand. Now, if you're tying with your right hand, obviously Timon's on your left hand. That's Ramnasan. Then the Gomorrah quotes another Sheeta of an Amaira. Ravashi. Ravashi says, In Udrasha, Yadha means Yadkaya, your weaker hand. Says Ramishha. What is happening? What is the Shakhtamataria in this Gemara? Right? First we have a Shita of a Tan. Tana one. Tanakhama. Then Rabbi says, Oh, I skipped. I skipped, I skipped this down. After we quote, after we quote the shita of Ramnassan, the Gomorrah says, where does Rabyesia Kharim know? Right? Where does he where is his Rasha? Oh, you know where he knows it from? He knows it's from the same Joshua of Ramnasan. Sharta Bukhsafta. And then the Gemara quotes Rabashi. Okay? So let's understand. The Gomara quotes the Sita Tanakhama. The Gomara quotes the sheet of Rabyesi Akrim says, I don't like what Tanakhama says. Doesn't tell us where he says it. The Gomara quotes another Sheita Ramnasan. Then the Gomorrah goes back to Rabbiesi Akharim and goes, hmm, where does Rabyesi Akharim know it from? The Makshan asks, right? Then the Tartan jumps up, oh I have an idea of Ram Nathan who we just quoted two seconds ago. He holds that he got something from Ram Nasan, and then we quote another Shah from Ramaira, Rabashi. What is happening now? Well, they're getting to the same result. Right. But it's gonna be very different outcomes for our Shila, as you may imagine, right? But it's not how Shakku Tari the more it works. So it says Remai Shra. Obviously, a long arrif is until he gets to what I'm about to say, but this is where he gets. He says that here's what's happening. Tanakama says, Yodshatha Yadaka means left. Rabbiasi says, I'm not convinced, right? Rib Nassan comes along and says he's not disagreeing with Atanakama. He's agreeing with Atanakama. Ksharatum Al-Saq Dacha means left hand. By the way, I have a Rameshia calls a Ghili Milsah. If you do the math, the Ksharatum works out because you know you're right, you tie with your right hand, it ends up with your left hand. But he's not arguing on Atanakama. He's Kshart Muksatim is not a Droshagamura, it's just the Ghili Milsa. So the Makshan says, okay, we I hear treat the Tanakhama, and I hear Ravnassan, you know, helping out the Tanakama. What does Rabyesy Acharim do? Now, of course, the Makshan knew about Ravnassan, but Ravnassan's not a Drashagamura. Comes along the Tartson and says, no. You could use Ravnassan as a drush gum. Ram Nassan didn't use it as a drash gumura. Ravnasan helped the Tanakhama. But Rabyesi Akhirim not only agrees, likes the Gilan Vilsa, he owns it much more than a Gilan Vilsa. He yells as a Joshagomura. And therefore that's his Makar. Then Ravashi, the Amaira, wakes up and says, no, I agree with the Makshan. It's just the Gilan Nilssa. You can't use a charitable saptan, which we'll discuss in a second why he doesn't like the drasha of a group of charitable sapta. It's not a real drasha. So we're stuck. We need an explanation. I have a new pasik. Yatkayah. Yeah, that's how Ravish breaks down the so you know. Obviously, there is room to come up with different shaft, but this is Ramash's Mahalik for the Shita, right? So in short, as Moses summarizes um at the end of Anuf Alef on page uh Kazai. Yeah, he says there are basically three shaitas, the Ribnasan slash Tanakama, right? There's Rabiyasi's Rabnatan plus, right? He holds of the Shaktamuksatam as a Josh Akamura, and the Shita of Ravashi that it's Yakeya. What? Ravnathan holds that it should be on the left. Everyone holds it to be on the left. Everyone holds it should be on the left. It's just where you know it from. Shraktam looks like that's what means left hand. Means you tie it with your right hand, which means it's on your left hand. And Ravashi says Yakea, weaker hand, which is the left hand. We're talking about the right, we're not talking about the left easy. Yeah? Okay. Now. Um so Rabush says, let's analyze these cheeks for a moment. Yeah? Let's start with Rabnassun. Rabnassun who holds like Tanakam. Yeah. So you can't use that to be Michalish any new din. We can't use that to explain Rabbaini Yahil, this new din that we care about Kseiva more than anything else, right? No different than Tanakham. But according to the first Mahalik in Rebya, first Mahal, according to the Mahalik, that it's a Drashagamura. Yeah, what's the Drashagamurah? That the hand that you tie with is the hand that you write with. That's the Drashra. So now, if someone does everything with one hand but writes with the other, what are we going to care about? Well, if he holds a drash gumura, we're going to care, all we're going to care about is what hand he writes with. And now we have ourselves in Bakar for Rabin Yahil and for the Shokhanarh and for the Rambah. We got ourselves in Bakar. Yeah, Rabashi on the other hand says it's not real drashra. Why not? Why does Rabashi have against this drashra? Says Rimashra, because the mitzvah tilen is not khshira. It's hanachal. So it's very bizarre for the Torah to give us a lima from Kshira when the mitzvah tilen is l'aniachtfilin. So he doesn't like that drasha. What? Well, first of all, he said the bracha, but he has a whole arrifus. Woman could put on to the shartum aisla yudaka. Yeah. Remisha discusses. Yeah. Yeah. But the ikramits is the hanach. That's the brakhal we make. We don't say likshhatvila. Yeah. Okay, it might be a hechemits, but yeah, yeah. Okay, Raisha discusses it at like Al Kapanim, he doesn't like Ravashi doesn't like this drush, so he has his own drusha of Yadkeya. Right? So it comes out right now. That according to Ravnussan, according to Ravnussan slash Kama Kama, what hand of the person puts filling on? We don't know. I mean, we know that a righty obviously puts full on his left hand. It doesn't say anything about a lefty. Raisha's a follow, but you go either way. Maybe he does, maybe he holds a lefty. Like the Kabalum, you know, they supposedly say that you did, yeah, you know, that you did nobody should put filling on the right hand. Only, you know, everyone should put it on the left hand. That's obviously not the lefty is put on the right hand. Um, but we don't know what Nash knows. Right? But according to the the the first pshat, the uh in Rabyesi that he learns from the drusha of Ksharti Muksaftam, yeah, you'd you'd follow the Ramah. You put on the opposite hand of the hand you write with. According to the second sheet, the second exclamation of which is Rabashi, you put on the other hand, the weaker hand. At first glance, that's what you say. Yeah? So now, seems like we have much like the mark. So what's Psha and Ravini is feeling the Rama? Why are they paskin the way they paskin? Because the Zabraisha later says that the Rabashi's Drosha of Yad Khagh, or it says Kitanoi's machalik is tanayim, and it quotes one sheet that holds the drosh of Yatkay, another sheet that seems not to hold the drosh of Yaqkaya. So, Maila, it seems like we have a Makar from the Braissa. And we don't, because uh, it's a it's a it's a Yachir Rabbin, we're paskin Karabim. It's similar to the Bryce, but the Rab does not hold the Drosha of Yaqkay. So if you don't hold the drash of Yad Kaya, one of you left. But the only thing you're left of is this Ribnasim plus that it's a Drashik Murorok, Sharatam Savam, the Maila comes along the Ramah, comes along Benihil, comes along the Shuharak, and they say, we paskin, all you care about is writing, and nothing else matters. Says Ramasha. I hear. It's a good smack for the Ramah. But there's also, we're not of Gimel now, there's also, yeah, an argument to reject Ravashi. No, I'm sorry, it's an argument to not reject Ravashi. Ramasha says it's very difficult to reject Ravashi in general. Ravashi was Saif Haira, the Gomorrah says. He was the editor of the Shah's, not getting into the controversy there, but he was somewhat of an editor of the shahs, whatever that means. Umoras says he's Saifaira. So you don't just get rid of Ravashi so easily. And the Rif and the Rush both quote Ravashi. And the Rush outright rejects the Sheita Rabin Yahil. Yeah, and there are other Ishainim, the Mordechai, the Gras, they all don't go with the Ramah, they all don't go with Rabin Yekiel. So it's not so simple to just say, oh, we don't pass like Ravashi and end the chupa. Yeah? So what do we do? What are we stuck? Says Remisha, we're gonna go to Rebeseid of Alia, Taisus. That's how we're gonna figure this out. So Taisus on the spot, very cryptic Tysus. Taisus says, in a case where a person does most of his malachas on his left hand, but he writes with his right hand, that's the example he uses. Yeshla, his stop, Tysus says, I wonder which hand he puts Tbilan on. The Shema, Yeshla T Mysik is Shaila Bishteyada, something like that. Maybe it's like someone who's in Shaila Bishteyalah Shaila Bishyada means someone's literal amidextrous. He does everything with both, and the halakha there is clear, he puts on Twin on his left hand like he's a righty. That's that's a first of all. Nobody argues with that. If you have a pure amidextrous, I don't know if that really exists. Um, in the literal, I don't know if anyone could do equally both, but if that exists, you put tuna on your left hand. Shema Yesh and Baisik Shalishelah. This is a text, very cryptic. What's his suffix? Why does he uh uh land in a in a shema? So to figure out what's going on, we might just find someone else who asks the same sham. Mordechai. The Mordechai quotes the same suffix from Rav Elchanan. I don't know who Rahan is. Text thereof has nothing, yeah. Um Chatriq D said something, but it was false.
SPEAKER_01Um of the Riv.
SPEAKER_00No, it's not the Raf. Yeah? So that's so he asks his father the Raf. Oh well, called Maharath. It sounds better than Raf. I don't know if it's actually what it is. I thought maybe it was Rabin of Peretz, but they were the same generation as Mordechai. I don't know if that works. Maybe it is, who knows? Um, but Rabin O'Khan asks his father the Maharath the same question, and he spells out the suffoc. And he says the suffoc is very simple. Do we go Basraq Siva? Because that's the first chat in the Gemara, that's his Roshra Gamur of Ukshartam Satam, or do we go with the approach of Rashi that it's about Yadkeha? Yeah? Now the Ma'raf, unlike Tisus, says, you know what you should do? It has a din of Kishala Bishhayadam. Right? Tysis is a massific. Marath is not massific. Yeah? Tells it as a Varah. So Rashis says, What is happening here? Rabbi Han asks his father Rashai, do we go like Ramasna, you know, the Rabasa plus, or do we go with Rashley? And he says, You know what we're gonna go with? Kashaila Bishtayadam, which was neither option. That was not one of the options, right? He answers the third option. And why is Tysus is a Sipic? But he's so sure he's after Tysis, whoever he is, right? So what's going on over here? So Rashid gives this interesting uh framework of how to understand this. He says there's two types of malachas. We'll say there's some types of malachas that require strength, and some like chopping wood, and some kind of malachas that require precision, like writing. Yeah? Most people, the single arm is used for both. But there are some that split the two, right? One hand they use for strength, the other hand they use for precision. Now, there's also some people who are even more confused, and even with imprecision, they'll write with one hand, sew with the other, they'll throw with one hand, they'll chop wood with the other, right? So, um, with all these variables, it's reasonable to have a subway how that impacts the halakhizafilin. So now, let's go to the hekash of Lukshart Luxafta. The Josh is just like you write with your right hand, you tie with your right hand. Let me raise your ass you says. Hold on a second. How do you know you write with your right hand? No passa. How do you know? Because people write with the right hand. You know what else people do with the right hand? They tie with the right hand. It's very bizarre that you have a lemon that says, Maxiva beyamin, akshiri beamin'. The same way we know Xi Vibin, you know, Shirabiyamin. This is a very roundabout way of getting to this drush. It seems completely unnecessary to have it this way. Right? So why would the Torah formulate the dresser this way? Just say you shart them. What people do what people hand do people use when they tie? I use the right hand.
SPEAKER_01What? What do you tie one right hand?
SPEAKER_00Till him.
SPEAKER_01Aside from till them when you're right.
SPEAKER_00That's what we're talking about. Yeah. Um, talking about two hands, but here you're one hand is constrained. What else do you think? Yeah, okay. I think a lot of things one-handed for a white. Yeah. So now you choose someone else has so now the shulkar and the ramur will say, not a not a question. The reason we say uksharitam is because we want to get to the point where we say, oh, we care about it's qzila. Not a question, if there is that. Yeah? But what if you don't accept the mahalas? What do you say? Whatever she says in Rush as follows. This is Pshat in Tysus' suffic. Do we say, do we understand Ukshartam Ukshaftam the way we just said it, which is like the Ramal, that just means that uh you care about writing? Or maybe what the Tara is saying is as follows. Ukshartam uksafhtam. You know what Ukshartam style is another code word for it? Ukshartam is a codeword for strength, tying, you need strength. Uksavtam is a code word for precision. Right. You need precision. So maybe what the leemat is, not that all we care about isiva, is that ukshartam uksavtam, that power and precision are equal. They're tied, they both have the same impact. That is maybe what the drush of Ukshartam Uksavtam is. Yeah? Ukshartam is power. So you throw it with your left hand and right with your right hand, and you're troubled. Yeah, that's exactly what we're dealing with. That's exactly what we're dealing with. Yeah? So Marath says, when he answers the son, he says he's a name. Yeah, Marath. I added a Maha. It just Raf doesn't sound like Ma Raf. Yeah. Mahraf. Marino Rav. Raf. Yeah? I don't know. It could be Rabin of Parents, I'm not sure. Yeah? He's not saying, oh, Tyson is a misupic and I'm sure. He's saying like this. He's saying, I hold like Ravashi. I hold like Ravashi is about Yadkaya. But you know what? Yes, Rivnasa is just a Ghili Milsa Baalma. But Ghili Milsa Baalma matters too. Even a gile milsa is not a nothing. Yeah? So it goes on the weaker hand. But what is weaker? The Ghili Milsa of Uksharata Bukhsaftam teaches me that power and precision are tied when you're trying to figure out what's equal. So if I do all my power in my right hand, but I do my precision in my left, or vice versa, or vice versa, they're tied. And once the halaq when you're tied, you're shanlay pishtayadav. Not that the suffic is, do we go in Ravashi or do we go with it's not the suffik? It can't be. The Ravaj says it can't be the Taisus of Suffic. Do we go with Ravashi or do go with Rasan? And the Marach comes along later and says, I'm punishing Tyson of Savik. No. He's saying that even in the world of Ravashi, that Yaak Kaya, it's still writing matters because the Drush, the Ghila Milsa of Rivnasan teaches me that power and precision are the same. So if I write with one hand, do Allah Malak on the other hand, it's a tie, or it's a tie. You have a din of a full-fledged amidextress who does with Shaila Bishtayadav. And therefore the halaq is when you have a full amidex. You always put stone on your on your left hand. Yeah? This is his mahal. So now when we go have this mahalakh, we go back to the original. Rabbein Yachil was the one that was maqaj. What example did he give? Remember, he only gave one example. He gave an example of someone who's otherwise a lefty who writes with his right hand. He did not give an example of someone who's otherwise a righty and writes with his left hand. And he dafka went that way. Because if someone, in either case, according to the either way, you're putting on your left hand. Because it doesn't matter which one is the power and which one's the precision. It's a tie, and a tie is Shayla Bishdayadav, and Shayla Bishala puts on his left hand. So Rabini Mikhail Dafka chose his example because it wouldn't work in the other way. Meaning, if you're a righty who writes with his left hand, the writing in the left hand is not going to turn you into a lefty because you're a Shaila Bishdayadav, which is another way of saying you're a righty and furth fill it. And therefore you put Tfila on your left hand. And in fact, the Bach, as we quoted in the beginning, the Bach holds the same Shita, but the Bach goes from a completely different angle. The Bach says, he just says that the Xeras Akassiv is a one-way Xeras Akasif. It's a one-way Xeras Akasif. If you write with your right hand, you become a righty. If you write with your left hand, you don't become a lefty. Ramaysa says, I don't understand alumnas at all. But I agree with the Bachl Halakha. That well, at least the Maraf. Now I gave away that the Vanshai. But Ramash in his conclusion says, look, he says, we've gone through the whole Sunya. Yeah, we've gone through the whole Sudya. The last paragraph of Pinchka Falif. Yeah. The Khain Ladina, what should we do? Yes, Lanullah Slamaisekita's Araf. The femaleshivarati. I think we should go with the Ma'raf because it's going along with the Ramishing the Valiat Tysis. Tisis was the one that was the Kadesh, at least in Ramish's view, this new way of understanding Muq Savdam. And he's going along with Taisis. And Tisis is like, I'm Masuppan. The great Maharat comes along and says, I am not Masupad. He's punished the Shailish Tayyam. And therefore, that's what you should do, Mamaisa. And I have the Baak on my side, even though I completely disagree with how the Baha got there. Fine. And therefore, that is ultimately his sake. But he points out that although he has a shikotari about precision versus power, the only type of precision that we can use in this analysis is writing. And nobody should come up and be like, well, I sew with my left my right hand, and therefore I now become a writer when I write with my left hand. No, no, no. If you do everything with your left hand, you happen to sew with your right hand, don't pull a lungshartal saftam and say that's precision. No, it's only writing. That's the only precision, uh, only precision we care about. And therefore, yes, the rumor that you heard, yeah, tells us grants. So the rumor that you heard is true. This is how I paska. Now, Remisha wrote this. That's I can't shuva. Yeah. How much time do I have left? Still have some time left. Yeah. Yeah. So so Reminds you wrote his true in 1980. So and he starts over true, but there's no min hook, right? So I was curious. Now we're we're we're 46 years later. Do we do we have we have had the min hook emerged after the place of Gandhara got involved? So I as some of you may have seen, I posted on my status yesterday asking for people who are in this situation uh to tell me the stock that they got. And I got a lot of people reached out, very interesting. A lot of interesting stuff that, again, Moshe doesn't let me go over time, so he can't score all them. Including from Bach Schwer. Bach Schwer had a great story. He um he put on Phil, I forgot all the details, but he put on Thilon. His Rebbe forced him to switch from lefty to righty to right with his right hand. So he ended up being very ambidextrous with both, and he ended up putting Twilin on his left hand because he wrote with his right hand. And Ramosha told him, okay, you got a Psack, you got a PSAC uh that way, so I'm not gonna, I'm not going to uh to tell you to change, but nice and maybe you should, you know, at the end of the dominant flip to the other side. And then years later, he was talking to Russ Scheinberg, and I told him it's real, you know, his whole life switching back and forth, back and forth. Scheinberg said, Ramosh was being an on-up. You should switch. You should switch fully. You could set Remosh Psalm. You just didn't want to argue on the PSAC that you got originally, but you can sit, you can just put it put on his. Because he's really left, he was real life. But that's a little bit of a different child. Because that gives us a child a lot of a lot of people reached out were people who changed because because they got either repressured or because they uh they they broke their arm or something like that, right? So that's a little bit different, it's related, but a little different. It's it but but what I can say, I think with confidence, is that 46 years later, nothing has changed. There is absolutely no minak. The psych range from from all of them. I mean, you basically have three, there's three mach. You can either go with the Ramang, which is that all you care about is Ksiva, you go with the first day in the ghara, the sheet of the Gur and others that we don't care about writing at all, or you can go with Ramish of the Bach, which is that any each any one of these people who's mixed up will put on like a right he put in on his his left hand. Now it's interesting that everybody goes left unless you're 100% left these. I wouldn't say 100%.
SPEAKER_01Now, uh oh another thing, not sewing, but if you write and strength or whatever is on your left, then you go right. Otherwise, you'll be right back.
SPEAKER_00So it does seem so from the people I spoke to, it seems that a lot of the paising what they do is you tell them I only ride with my left hand. Okay, let's go back. Let's say I only ride with my right, and I do everything with my left. So that's a little bit easier because you not only have the Ramah, you also have Ramaija on the Bach. So that I think most people will tell you, will end up telling you, and of course, nobody should land this Lamaisa to put on like uh like like a right, right? You put on right, you put on your left hand. Even though you're a you're you're a lefty who does everything with his right hand, you should put on like a righty because you have the Ramah who says go basakhsiva, and you have the Bach and the and the and the Ramisha will also say that. Now there are some not everyone, there are some people say no. We hold like the first day of the Mahabhab, we hold like the Grah. Uh, fine. But what it the the real con the more controversial one is the flip side, where someone who's a full-fledged righty who just happens to ride with his left hand, that's what you really have the machine is Ramah and Ramesha, and it's a very tough thing to do. What are you how are you supposed to be paishi between the Rambah and the Shuchan Arach versus Ramasha? It's tough, you know, and the uh by the way, the Urchhokan, I believe, holds not like Ramisha, the Bachak the Urchash holds like the gra. Also, just to throw a wrench in, you know, but the Mishabura goes with with uh with the Ramah, seemingly Mishabura, the Kayada, the Kit Shukhan Arch all go with the Ramah. But um that Lumaisa, some people um put on the other hand, Achidavan. Now Ramaisha opens up his chuvah by doesn't even suggest he suggests it, but with the brach and all that, he doesn't suggest the idea of just putting on with the other hand without a bracha.
SPEAKER_01It seemed like when you were saying it that Ramaisha's a was almost two to them. Put on with your put on your left, put on your right, so it's with the bracha, and then do you show Rush. You're doing both. You're not doing one.
SPEAKER_00It could be there's someone here who just bought two pairs of silence for a son, but he puts on after, he puts on after dhabin. He doesn't just flip it around. He doesn't make braking on one, though. You heard that it's for any. Yeah, yeah, but I know. I think. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Now Rush doesn't suggest this. My initial initial reaction was I don't I could I think it's very partial why Rush doesn't suggest turning around after Dominic. Because that doesn't help you. Are you Masup or not? If you're Masupp, you can't make a Braha. If you're not Masub, then what are you but what are you busy with being Hish Rushita? Are you Makhri or not? Do you have shoulders that you mean Mahri the Shah or not? You can't write that that's but but I spoke to uh uh uh Ruben Menlowitz, he's who wrote the inside stomp, spoke to him today, um, and I asked him, and he confirmed there is no minuk. There is no minute, that it's all over the place. I uh this is one thing I want to say, and this is what I asked him if he agrees with, and he said yes. It seems like what the place we want to do today is if you have someone who's really a writy who writes with his left hand, they'll find they want to find other things that you do with your left hand. Give me something else. Because I want to be knighted towards the Ramah but I have Ramish in the Bach telling me no. So give me something, and he agrees. He said that that seems to be uh a common a common theme. And my brother has a situation, he's a full-fledged writing, only thing he does with his left hand, and when he asked his shahlah, the way he would call it, he'd say it can't wait since he was 12 years old, and cotton has questionable name on us, but uh he doesn't remember exactly that the rev asked him, Do you what hand do you pick stuff up with? And he said, My right. But he still gave him psak to me. Like he was trying to get him to say other things. He did it, he gave him psych Rama. He put someone like a lefty. Yeah, he put someone like a lefty, like the Ramah? Yeah, not like the Rusha. Um, but oh, so so Rebbe Menowitz sent me an article that said that there was Aidas that people that are mysha did say that you should be Mahmer. It's an Indian at least to be Mahmer at the end of David to flip around. So the article wanted to say that uh how do you stim the aidus with the chuvah? Oh, the chuva was for Babitza boys. I don't find that compelling. I think the chuva was coming to be Machriya Halakhala Mice. Achlachala maissah, what hand do you make a brach on like this? Now, if you want to be machmir, sure, why not? But he's not gonna put that in the myshe to make that like the psah. It's not a psah, it's an aid, it's an idea. I don't know that I'm not sure I accept this distinction between bar mitzvah boys versus. I mean, it's probably true that it's not wise to tell a kid it's just bar mitzvah, and never make it uh make it difficult. Again, some place can do. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not here to challenge that, but that that's what the meisha would say. Fine. Um, Ad Khan uh the Shuva.
