In Chelek 7, CM Siman 65-66, Rav Moshe discusses the permissibility of a girl who is worried about her shidduch prospects receiving a nose job and a woman who wants to diet to shed a few pounds.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so chuva we're gonna do tonight in this igris is an Igris Majilik Zayn, Khesh Majbut Simon B uhilik Base. And the first chuva we're gonna start with is Timan Samachva. The chuva was written on March 4th, 1964 from an unnamed shayel, or perhaps shayala. And you see the shayala in the title. Yeah, Imnaru Mutares Lyafizat'ma'i Day Natuach, can a young girl make herself look more beautiful through an operation Shu Khavala Bagufa, which is Khavalah, which is we'll see how we translate Chavalah uh on her body. Yeah, so as Ramosha elaborates in the chuvah, a girl wants to make herself more attractive for shadukhan purposes using what was then the relatively new technology of plastic surgery. The uh it seems like open rhinoplasty was invented right a few years before this, and that I think is the modern-day nose job. So must maisha is talking about a nose job. And um if you were at the previous iteration of this khabura, before it was an Igorisha Kabura, we did a true from the Khokis Yaakov on the same topic where he specifically says no job, nose job, and he said, I'm the first person to ever address a shila, and it was literally like a few months before this. So clearly, this shaila was catching on right now uh in 1964. Okay, so what would be the isr? The isr is that we know that it's a halacha that a person is a pasak, a person's not allowed to be chaiwbachir, a person's not allowed to uh cause harm, let's say, to their friend, and there's a machalikis tanoym, whether a person is allowed to be chaible baatzma. As we see, the Ramam and the uh normative halach is that there is an isr to be chaival baatzma. So the khairah here, if a girl is getting an operation, uh she's being chaibil batzma, so would that be a problem? Or do we say maybe well there's a there's a purpose for it? She's not just harming herself for no reason, because the fact that the tzaira saved the day. So there's a mission above a comment, it's a little complicated, but the mission above a com basically is a story of a woman who runs out with her hair uncovered in the street to rescue some oil um and put it in her hair. And the Gomorrah refers to that, or the Mishnah refers to that as Chivalbaatma. She's harming herself. Yeah? And Taisvis says, Mikan from this Mishnah Zurayah, that even if it's a tzairach, it's still Chaval, because she had a reason to run out with her hair uncovered. She wanted to uh rescue the oil. And still we call that Chaval of Atzba. So we see a tserik does not say today. Now maybe you want to differentiate, well, that's a very minor tzairich. She wanted some oil. Wow, wanted some oil, or um um um or uh do we uh uh versus this girl who wants plastic surgery, um, which is a tzerich gadal, yeah. Um Roman says it's hard to be making like a tserh is a tserik. Why should there be a difference? So we have a problem here that you can't get plastic surgery even if it's irrech. Yeah, but Tiz Remaj, let's back up a second. Where does the issir of Khavalah Batmah come from? So the Gemarah tries to figure it out. At one point, the Gemarah wants to say that comes from a Belezra Kapr. Beleza Kapra says that Nazir Khaitahabi. Nazir is a sinner. Why is he a sinner? Shitir atmin'ay. Because he withheld himself from Yahin. So the Gemara says, Kabakhaimir, if just withholding from wine is considered an isr, Kabakhaimer, Khala Bagufa, certainly harming your body, is considered an isr. Now, says your Mysha, if the entire Isr of Khavallah's mah is learned out from afflicting yourself from wine, so let me ask you a question. Let's say I want to drink wine, but I say I'm not gonna drink wine because I'm gonna get some kind of financial gain. Someone is gonna give me a thousand dollars not to drink wine. Are you really telling me that Rabbi Lazar Kapr holds a machite for that? Very difficult to say. It would seem that of course Rabalazra Kapra would agree that if I'm a that if it's a tsaireh, if I'm doing it for a purpose, it's not called Khavalah. So it's how does how do you stim this with Pais saying that Khiva Atma is Usar even for a Tsairech? So Rajah says as follows. This is what I believe he's saying. He says that what is the tsar of tsiratma and ayah? What is the tsar of withdrawal from wine? The tsar is not a physical pain, it's an emotional or mental pain, right? Where and the joy of the Runj's hypothetical that you're gonna make money off of not drinking wine is also a mental joy. So if you're in pain, you have emotional pain from not drinking wine, but you also have emotional enjoyment from not drinking wine because you're gonna make money, so you're not actually in pain. You're really, really excited that you're getting this financial gain. So the the the the pain and the joy beat and the joy wins. So that's not a chaval. However, when we're dealing with a physical pain, a physical pain, sure, when you uncover your your your hair to save the oil, yeah, you're obviously doing it because you believe the value of the oil is more worth it than whatever pain you're getting from having your hair uncovered in public. But it's a physical pain of your hair uncovered is a pain. What? It's a good emotional pain. It's hard for you to understand what's the cavala. But let's let's just let's let's let's ignore the yeah, it's more of a marriage. But let's say the plastic surgery. Plastic surgery, she's in pain when she's got under the knife. There's a pain there, right? There's a chavala there. Now it's true she's doing it for some greater good, and in the long run she's happy. But but the during the surgery, it's an actual chavala. And you it's a clear contrast between that and the case of a nuzzer who's making uh someone who's making money not to drink wine. So therefore, um, that's how Tysis can stim with this idea uh with the comparison to uh being Tsira Asaman Ayayin and Lakhir, we have a problem. We have a problem that you can't get plastic surgery even though it's for the greater good, because let's say is asar. Now, it's just don't worry, don't worry, we're not done. Yeah, it should be pointed out that we don't pascal like our blood's archaic. We don't. But the Ramam Paskins that Khai will beat'ma is asir. So clearly there's another Makar out there for the Isra of Khavala Baat's Ma. So maybe you want to argue that if there's that, if that if there's that, if there's that other Makar, yeah, so maybe there the rules, the rules, the rules are different, yeah. Um, but uh but Ramanish says no. Whatever Makar you have, whatever that other Makar is, it's gonna be the same rules as this Makar learning out from from Nazir. Because the Gemara never has a debate what the definition of Khavala Batzma is. Whatever the Gomorra has a debate whether there is an Isr and where the Isr is learned out from, but the Gamar never discusses what the definition is. Clearly, whatever the definition of Khavala Baatzma is, it's consistent through all Gemaras. So if we if when we were learning out from Nazir, whatever that definition of Khavala Atsma is, it means even Latzir Khastai says, so wherever we ultimately learn out from, we'll have the same rules and it won't be us or even Litzaira. Okay. So we have a problem here. You can't get black subserved. Comes the Rambah potentially to save the day. Because when discussing the Isra, not of Khov's, but Ram says two famous words. Yeah, he says here, he's talking about the Israel being chival, a call cash, he struggled, hit another Jew. Shuhubakh, Derech Nitzayun. That he hits the person derech nitzain. How do you translate itzayan? Quarreling, adversarial, something. Yeah, there's another girl of bizayun, which throughout the true Major assumes is one of the same. Yeah? So, um, if the Isra of Khavala on someone else is only derekni tsayunabizin, so the isir of chavala baat's mai is also gonna only be directly tzayun of bizarre, because the word chavala means the same thing in all contexts, whether it's baat's khaira. So the khair, according to this Rambah, we potentially maybe can save the day. Yeah? Now, uh he quotes from uh his contemporary Ratovi Goldstein, who wants me to die, he's that no, the Ramam's only talking about Isir of Hakka, of striking another yed, but Khavalah would be broader. Ramaisha says, no, it's all and now from the same pasik, it's gotta have the same rules for both. He rejects that argument. Yeah? So, before we can rely on the Ram, we have to understand what's the Makkar of the Ramah. So, what is the right Ram's Bakar? Remijah has a few rias. His first riot is that the Goram of Akam is also similar to Muratinas. When he would walk past thorns, he would lift his pants leg or whatever baggage he was wearing, so that the thorns would scrape his leg and out his pants. Why? He says flesh regenerates, pants do not, right? So, aye Khavala, you're being khaiilat'ma. Remaj says, don't tell me it's over Shane of Sagan, he doesn't intend to do it because it's secretia, it's sure gonna happen. And Romaj says, it's dychik to say that it's not a case of secretia, meaning it's only maybe it will happen, which I don't know, maybe you can argue with, but that's what it's clearly not a case of secretia. So clearly so what's pshat? The only pshat is has to be Derach Nitsai in a bazallion. This is obviously walking through a bunch of thorns that are scripty with not derakh Nitsai in a bazillion. So that's the Ramzraya that the only Israel of Kavala is Derach Nitsai in a bazaillion. But how does that should do with Tysis? Tysis says that even the Tsirach is Osir, says Romisha, Tsirich and Derach Nitsai in a bazaillion are not two different two different things. And Risha gives you an example. What it's Kriya, you do Kriya over a mace, right? Is there a tzerah for Kriya over a mace? Avada is there's a tariq for Kriya of the mace, right? But of course it's derich Nitsai, it's it's not we don't use the tariff bazain to concept the Kriya, but it's to cause pain, right? Similarly in the case of Khal, if someone wants to cut themselves because they're upset over of a mace. Is that is that what tserh? Avada's a tzarich, right? Just like Kriya is a tariq, what's uh stabbing yourself to cause pain is a tzerich. But uh, but it's also derich Nitsai and a Bazayan. So just because something is a tzarich doesn't mean it's not it's uh in a bazayan. So something it the Ramam in cases can coexist. In order to be an Iser, it has to be Dari Zayin a Bazaillian, and the fact that it's a tzarich doesn't save the day. Yeah, okay, but says Ramisha, the problem is, and Rachel set himself up for this question, is that the Gomorrah in Makkah says if there's a special lima that you're not allowed to cut yourself on a mace. Yeah, you're not allowed to cut yourself on a mace. And the Gomorrah says that Isr only applies for a mace. But if you're really upset that your your house fell or your ship sunk in the sea, no is sir. Uh, it's Derach Mitzai Nabzayan. Rachel literally just said that's a case of Derach Mitzai and the Bizalyan. That should be an Israel of Khival Baatsman. Yeah. Um, you could say, well, no, there's two Issumi. There's an Israel of Khail Batzman, and there's a separate Israel of Sri Tala Maze. Rem says that doesn't work because Tyshus quotes a story that when uh uh Rebeliazar died, Rukiva was so upset that he was hitting himself until blood was flowing into the ground. Frack Tys, ah, it's Khavalah. Yeah, I'm sorry, no, no, no, I got it wrong. Aye, it's Sri Delamais. Sri Delamais. Answer is Tys, no, he wasn't Sri Tilamais, he was doing it for the tyrant, not for the mace. What kind of answer is that? It's still an answer of Kabbalah. Obviously, there isn't an answer of Khavalah well, why not? We have to explain why not. Remaicha just said that's Darak Sayyidina Mizai. Yeah? Uh now Raisha points out it's actually Machalika's what Rubakiva held, so you could remember these Arab Kiva the mission, Rakiv of the Brice, so it could be this is only going according to the Sheita of Rakiv and the Braissa, that there is no answer of Khalifa's. But Ramaisha says it's very not logical because the Gomorrah never discusses the story when trying to figure out what Rabbi Kiva Rabbi Kiva holds. So what's so Ramesh says, you know, the Gomorrah and Shabbat says that if you tear clothing in anger on Shabbas, it's it's not Makalka, it's Masakin, right? So it's uh it's Malach's Mach Shabbat. Why? So the Gomorrah calls Rib Oven, the Ka'avanak's Ruchliitzra. He's Rashi explains he's calming down his ATR, he's calming down his anger. So it says Ramayisha, we're further qualifying Derach Nitsai Bazaar. Yeah? We have this like new category where something like like like tearing clothing, right? It seems like what you would call Derach Nitsang Bazayan. Again, this is not in the context of Kabbalah, but something Nitsaiyan-ish. But no, because it's you're doing it to calm yourself down, it's not Derach Nitsai. So take it to the case of Srita. If you're scraping yourself over the over over over a mace, because you're so it's it's a way of calming yourself down. It's not Derach Nitsaiana Bazaya. It's a it's a form of calming yourself down. So Al Khavala, it's not Usir. It's not Derach Nitsaiana Bazaya. Calm is alone with a tyra, a new pasik, Srita Lamace is his own isser, but that is doesn't apply by a by a by uh if you're scraping yourself for something else. If you're so upset that your house fell and you cut yourself to calm yourself down, there would be no issir. And the Ramapaska's that way, by the way. The Ramapaskins is based on the base. There's no isr at all to scrape yourself over. I'm not recommending you do this at home, but uh uh uh there's no isr to to scrape yourself um over anything other than a mace. Fine. Now Ramishha then quotes, he says, you know, they showed me the arachlaner. Like he didn't say I want it, I read the Arachl Nair. They showed me the Arachaner, he asks a similar question, he gives a bunch of a couple of suggestions. Remaisha it rejects all of them. He holds of his uh his territory that it's all about the Arachnitza in a bazillion. Okay. Now we do have to explain another Gemara. Because at the bottom of Rishadi, the Gemara in Sanhedrin says that Rav would not allow his son to remove a thorn from him because it's usar to bruise your father. Yeah? Isr of Khabura. Frack the Gemara, Ihahi, Akhernami, why can anyone? And no one should be allowed to remove a thorn, assuming there's no sakh of obviously, because everyone has is mitsuva in the Isra of Khavala. So they want answers. Well, yeah, but uh removing your father is worse. It's a shikzhana, this would be a shikislav. Yes, says Frakti Maicha, point it around. The question makes no sense. Achernami, don't remove a thorn. If I remove someone's thorn, is that Derah Mitzayan Hubizayan? Of course not. It's not Dharak Mitzai Nubazai. It seems like you can't come with a less Derah Nitsaian Hu bizalian than pulling out a thorn from someone, right? So uh how could the even have a question that it should be us or at schaballah? Yeah. Says Remai Shad. Has to be. You have to say Psharis that the concern when you pull out a thorn is that you're gonna just be lazy, that you're just gonna like rip it off. And then you're gonna end up with a Darachlitzain of Bizai, right? You're gonna end up ripping off this uh this kidney. It's coming clearly it's very hard to define Darah Litzain of Bazaar. It doesn't seem like there's very if you want to summarize it in one sentence, I don't know that you'd be able to. It just seems like we're removing the goalposts a little bit. But Al Kopana Ramisha says that that must be pshat according to the Rambah. Now, before you say that, uh just Dhik Terrace to explain a Rambah, Ramaicha says it has to be Pshat in the Gemara. Because the Gemara says that I know one yid is allowed to draw blood from another yid. But can a father can a son draw blood from a father? Can a son blood left from a father? Why is it a Dr. Pasha that anyone could draw blood from somebody else? It's an issue of Khavala. Obviously. And there's a distinction here between the case of drawing blood and the pulling out the thorn. What's the distinction? Goof at this distinction. Derach Nitzain. There's no risk when you're drawing blood that you're gonna recklessly do something and end up being Derech Nitsai and Bizai. Again, I don't know, you could have made a square the other way. But this is a swear you have to say, right? That there's no risk, but a thorn, you just might be lazy, not gonna do it with precision and use the right, you know, tweezers, and you're just gonna yank the whole thing off and rip off half his finger, and that would be uh Derach Nitsai Nabizin. Okay, so that's in essence, really, a second raya to the Rama. A third raya is the Gomorrah's on Hedrin Daf Sadi Teth. Well, uh the Gomorrah says that the Gomorrah has a story of the Navi Mika. Mika told his friend that uh I got a Navua that uh you should uh strike me, should hit me. And his friend said, uh no, thank you. And the Gomara says, Well, the friend didn't listen to the Navua, and Mela he was eaten by a lion. Yeah, pretty harsh punishment for not listening to the rivua. Samurai says, I don't understand. How is he supposed to know that Michael was telling the truth? Samurai answers, because Mika was mukhsuk. Michael had a special status. He was really meaning, usually a novik given ice, but Michael didn't give an ice, but he had a special status on muksik, everything he says you could do, right? And the morh says, you know, I'll prove to you muksak is good enough. I'm gonna find you examples where muqsak was so strong that we violated halakhas, which was what? Ikea's yitzhak. How could Yitzhak trust his father to be brought as on the Aqeda? Alamai, it's because Avram of any was Muqsak. Also Elio of Harakalma. How could Khalitra trust Elio and bring Karbana Schrutichut outside the base of English? Ah, Alamai, it's because Eliya was Much. Frank Ramaisha, I don't understand. Why do we have to go to Avram and Elio to find uh to find a muqsaq case, a muksak, um, an extreme muqsa case? From Mikha, we have an example because Mikha was telling him to do something that's Usr, Khavala. Right? So the fact that he was taking the turn means Muksuk is another third example of muqsah being so strong that you can violate a Mr. Tara is right here from the story of Mika. Yeah, it says Raisha, not because now it makes a lot of sense according to Rabbah, because only Israel Kabbalah is Darachni Tsang Bazaillion. If I'm hitting you because I believe that Akash Baru gave you an Avua, whether right or wrong. But if I'm hitting you because you told me that Akash Baru gave you an Avua, that's not Darachni Tang Bazayan. Again, you could have had a sarah otherwise, but this is this, yeah, right number four. Yeah? Bottom line, yeah. Um so we have this Ramba. That the Isra is only Darakitzai in the bazillion. We have Kama Rayas to this to this Rambam. Only only only sugas and shots only make sense if you go with this Rambah. So where does plastic surgery fit in? Says Ramisha, it's a medical procedure. Avad that's not Derah Nitsai Bazaar, right? Um, it's the opposite of Derachitsai Bazalyan, right? It's you can't, again, you can't find a better example of not derich mitzaira bazallion than a medical procedure, right? So the khir the Rambaum would save the day. And now Ramosha wants to take it a step further and potentially say that even without the Rambam, you could have an heter. Because in the same Gamora that discusses the father-son medical procedures, the Ramasna says, remember we had a shaila, can a father can a son blood with the father? Ramash says, Yes, what's his raya? Yeah, it says rashi what's pshah. The Torah only asked something that you wouldn't want done to yourself. What does that mean? So Rachel says obviously doesn't mean that if you're the type of guy who likes to get beaten up, you go beat people up. Or if you like to be embarrassed because you're such an un of and it's good, you're a Navaraker. You want someone, doesn't mean you can go embarrass other people. Rachel doesn't say the word navarika, right? What is mashy? Rashi means that it's something Khavalah like bloodletting, that it's something that every objectively is something that people want to do, right? Why do they want to do it? Because they love themselves, right? They'll have to do I'm supposed to love you like myself. I want to be bloodled, right? This is pre pre-medicine deciding that wasn't such a good idea. Yeah, but Alakon when when when the medical community believed in bloodletting, so then it's not shy, the hashkafah of the Tara wouldn't be that I can't do that for my friend. It just can't be that I can't do it for my father, right? You have to learn a kamaika. So it says Ramisha. Once we have this this overall big picture hashkafa, forget the Rambah. Even if you don't subscribe to this prat that you need Darahit Sayyidina Bazaya, something the way he says, it's for it's it's it's for his good. He's talking about the bloodlighting, but something that, of course, the person wants to do, they're doing it willingly, they're doing it, it's something that objectively people want to do, they want to get nose jobs, it's obviously very popular. A vadh, even if you don't hold Darahit Sayyidina Bazayan, we have this over overall hashkaf of the haftal reacha kamaika, that it can't be that something that is usar to it's something that I want to be done for myself, I can't do for my friend. And Mamela, even if you don't like the Ramav's Darahitsaynu Bazayan, it would be mutter to get plastic surgery. And Ramaisha ends with a ksasraya that the gnar seems to indicate there's no issue with uh cutting off an extra finger, amputating an extra finger. So that's another raya than a medical procedure. Um, the the the truva that we did from the Khalkaziakov um focuses a lot more on that medical procedure stuff, and it's very, very good ray is that a medical procedure is not an Israel Khali. He doesn't quote, I don't think he quotes Ram Dark Sayyidina, maybe he does, but I don't think he needs that. Fine. Now, based that's Ad Khanli Ramosha on plastic surgery. Now, based on that analysis, what would you say uh about dieting? What would you say about dieting, right? So, you would say if you're makeup about plastic surgery, it seems pretty easy to be make about dieting. Now, we don't have to guess what Ramosha would say because Ramesha has it, right? Machuva before Simon Sama 12 and Simasamach, you see on the top, in Mutr Linhak diet. Yeah, can a person go on a diet? Yeah, in this one we have a Shoyol, it is Rabichesko Weinfeld, right? Rashiva. Uh used to be Roshiva. Still is Rashiva, it must have been very young, right? Because this is in 1970. So that's uh how many years ago? Six years ago? It's six years after the plastic surgery. Right? So Rabikesko Weinfeld, the way he sets it. The Shayol is can a person go on a diet? Uh, do we say it's Chaival Bat's May? Because given that Tyson says that Khavala Batma is Usar, even uh even Litzaira. Yeah, so we just starts off. Obviously, if you're going on a diet for health reasons, it's not a shila. Aderabah, it's chaval baat'ma to eat the food you're not some O seeds. When you're you're when you're obese or obese or whatever, you're eating that diet, that's Khavala Batzamai. So of course it's not a shila. So, what are we discussing? We're discussing women who would die just to look a little better. Men would never do such a thing. Only women, at least in the 19 uh 70s, would do such a thing. And Ramasha says, not just a single girl, but you're gonna married a woman who wants to look better for her husband, no other reason why someone wants to be better. Yeah? And so Risha starts off and says, listen, same analysis that we started off in Simon Samachab, which is this mental, you know, pain versus mental pleasure. So, sure, I get pain. The woman gets pain from passing on a piece of cake, but she also gets pleasure that she's gonna feel better and look better. So then it outweighs each other, and it is fun. But, says Rmisha, this hectare only is for someone whose dieting consists of not eating certain foods. I won't eat cake, I won't eat carbs, whatever the fat of the uh this is amount when people used to die, now they don't have to anymore. Thank you, Dr. Ko. Um, whatever. So on record, say that stuff. Um yeah, but says Ramosha, what about someone who literally causes himself physical hunger pains? Now we're talking about a physical pain. And remember, Mosha that Shuva says physical pain is different, goes on a different analysis. And therefore, Ramosha says at the bottom of the page, well the khim, you know the lesser the haravat's. If you're just doing it for for to look better, he's nicer to say it's us sir. Then he says, you know. Starve yourself, and that's what people would do. Saying Amal, people would, you know, I I know people, maybe someone in this room, who would go on a feasting-fasting diet, right? You would fast for three days, feast for four days. Me. Yeah, yeah. I'll tell you. And I'm telling you, it was painful. Now the day of the feasting, the joy was you cannot call Shali, you know, participating in such a diet like like like Ako Basim Khobiyamov, but Alkopana was pain, right? But then at the end, like, think of that. Quotes Marmagillo, which seems to say that the lines between physical pain and mental pain when it comes to food are very blue. Sometimes you see food and you literally have like a it feels like a physical reaction. As you can imagine today, also I imagine most doctors would say like physical and emotional pain is not necessarily the lines are not are not so clear. And therefore he concludes, England's beyond the last two words of the shuvah. You can't be Mike. So it comes out, funny, funny, it comes out very funny for emotion. Simon Tamachov, completely make, chopping off your nose. And Simonche, and again, it's just for just for beauty purposes, Simon Samakhe dying and it causes pain, uh, like the lets are not Mikha. Also, he doesn't say a word about Darachik Saiyan in this chuva. Like, where does the analysis of Darahik Saiyan doesn't tell like Darafik Saiyan to afflict yourself to Nanga? I don't know. Again, Daraqik Saiyan sees like there's wild definitions that can mean various different things. But Ramash doesn't even he doesn't even say it. And this is six years after the chuvah. So it's not like he hadn't yet come up with the circle tarothiks. He had the circle target he published it at the same time. Also, how much of Klutzka? What is this in the same way? Well, the Gemara says, the problem is the Gamaro does say at Muraya was a form of Kabbalah, at least the pointer laws are copper. So it's I don't know. It seems that have to be worked out. Um yeah. Um Lamaisa, Lamaisa, what was I gonna say? Um there are there are other truths that deal with this, other price skim. A lot of them, oh the clutchkash, thank you. Kletzkash I had is that um going for plastic surgery, the khaira is not khilatskim. The girl does not give herself plastic surgery, she has a doctor to do it, right? So if she gets if she gets a Jew to do it, the chhira it's a problem of childhaver on the doctor, so that'd be one shaila. It'll be a shail of nif'ever on the patient. If you've got a guy to do it, the chairah, I'm just that's not a chah. If you've got a guy to do it, the shaila, it's not it's not a fair because the guy is not mitsuman khavala, right? It's not on the stick seven, right? So it's it's it's what it's it's it's it's um it's misayah, it's it's amir alakum. It's amir alakam. Now, we know the halaqah by pay is echlamakab echhana dikab. The more says that's because you're misayayah. Misayah means you like tilt your head. Here, you're going, you're going under the knife, you know. I don't know. I don't know. I think it would only be a shahlah of Amir Akum. I would think. By the way, it's a similar true, it doesn't matter. Also, he's just goes with Shailab. I always don't understand. Okay, al Kapanim, the Khaj might not change, it still has to be directly saying of his eyes. But I just want to say there are other Pisces who who who discuss this. A lot of them are make a like Ramasha, but not well. There's a few times that people bring up. One are this hashkafa makes until Khajbarhu I'm ugly. He tells a Leon ugly that he looked ugly, and you know that all the baro. Okay, you can argue, uh you could make that argument every surgery, right? Every time you gotta you remove your tonsils, oh yeah. Telling Kajbarhua. Khashbarhu also gave us modern medicine and doctors and science, and I don't know, right? Okay, but again, how is it a fuss by Kashbarhu to say I'm gonna use the the the doctor who again everything has for Kashbarfu? It's different too. I understand. Of course it's different, but I still you could you can make an argument. I'm ignorant, I'm defending Ramasha. And also the other tiny uh that the Titsaliasra message, which I think are more compelling. One is is the word says that a doctor has special shots to be Mirapa. Who says this falls under the under the rubric of being Marapa? I feel ugly, I'm gonna chop up a pizza before. Doesn't sound like traditional healing, so maybe a doctor has no right to do it. Okay. Remisha doesn't even address that. The other time the Khalkizaka for which she rejects is sacana. Anytime you go on the knife, you're putting yourself in sakana and selective, maybe it's but remember the Khalkisaka Vinga says, and certainly today, the sacana, you're probably the biggest sakana of getting a surgery is the drive to the to the to the hospital, right? That would be the biggest sakana. Um but the one interesting thing that I would say comes out from Ramashha that the same reaction I had to the Khalkizakh on this shuvah, which is nowhere in this shuvah does Ramasha give the girl mushrahs. Nowhere does he tell the girl, our boy and you couldn't see with Allah, there was a zibug, there was a sign for you, and uh you'll find a boy who will love you for how you are, and that's right. Remisha says, let's go for Allah. So Allah would have said Asar, a Vader Ramisha would have given the mushrash. But Allah says mutter and that's it, there's nothing else to discuss. We leave it to the discussion of the girl to decide uh what is the appropriate way to act or mash did not feel the need to give any musj. Atkah, shkay.
