00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:02.319
Welcome to the Awakening Church podcast.

00:00:02.479 --> 00:00:07.040
We pray this message encourages you and provides the hope and light of Jesus Christ.

00:00:07.200 --> 00:00:08.640
Thanks for tuning in.

00:00:18.559 --> 00:00:19.839
All right, Awakening.

00:00:19.920 --> 00:00:27.920
Hey, thanks for greeting those around you so well and hope you are all having a good Sunday.

00:00:28.079 --> 00:00:35.280
And uh like Lacey mentioned, today we are going to be uh approaching a very sensitive topic.

00:00:35.439 --> 00:00:45.600
Uh some of you know my role here as the executive pastor, it's really to just give support to the team and as well as Ryan as we pursue our mission to awaken this generation to new life in Christ.

00:00:45.759 --> 00:01:00.960
And um when it comes to uh part of that support, every now and then it's just to help uh with uh easing uh the teaching load with Ryan, and so several of us help with that and allows him to have a break, but also allows him to focus on other priorities.

00:01:01.039 --> 00:01:09.280
He's actually right now with our college students and young professionals at a retreat this weekend, and uh yeah, so that's um why I'm here today.

00:01:09.439 --> 00:01:25.359
And actually, it was uh several months ago, maybe, we were talking about support that he was needing for teaching, and it looked like I was going to be teaching last Sunday's message on uh Babel, and then about a month ago it transitioned to the first part of Abraham.

00:01:25.519 --> 00:01:35.519
And as I started to reread the story of Abraham, uh I was reminded of a rather difficult conversation that I had about uh several weeks ago.

00:01:36.239 --> 00:01:46.640
Um several months ago, we had a workshop that we were offering here to help people in our community go through a journey of healing from past pains.

00:01:46.959 --> 00:01:59.280
And the main facilitator and his colleague uh were one the only ones to receive intake forms from both the men and women that had to fill out these intake forms to be a part of this workshop.

00:01:59.840 --> 00:02:07.359
Following the class, we then met for a review, and he said something to me that stuck with me.

00:02:07.439 --> 00:02:20.080
He just said, Hey, you just need to know that I've been doing this a long time, and the people that filled out those intakes from your church, there was a lot of background with sexual abuse.

00:02:22.560 --> 00:02:26.159
And he said, This is something that awakening should consider teaching on.

00:02:26.639 --> 00:02:37.439
And so when I started to read this passage, I feel like I don't know, it may be too strong to say I was called, but I definitely felt compelled uh to teach directly on this subject.

00:02:39.120 --> 00:02:46.159
I want you to know too that uh this story that we're about to jump into, it's comprehensive.

00:02:46.479 --> 00:02:51.520
As most stories around abuses like this are.

00:02:51.919 --> 00:02:53.360
They're kind of complicated.

00:02:53.919 --> 00:02:57.199
I encourage you, I just what I ask of you is just hang with me.

00:02:57.840 --> 00:02:58.639
Lean in.

00:02:59.039 --> 00:03:00.240
Stay with me through the story.

00:03:00.319 --> 00:03:01.199
It's a lot.

00:03:02.879 --> 00:03:05.520
Before we do, let's go ahead and just talk to God just for a quick second.

00:03:05.599 --> 00:03:10.960
And so, God, um, we just want to acknowledge you're here.

00:03:14.159 --> 00:03:16.000
That you're our strength.

00:03:17.680 --> 00:03:21.439
God, wherever there is darkness, we ask that you would shine your light.

00:03:22.560 --> 00:03:25.840
Wherever there is angst right now, we ask you would bring peace.

00:03:27.280 --> 00:03:29.520
Wherever there is pain, may you heal.

00:03:32.080 --> 00:03:33.759
We just want you right now to be our guide.

00:03:33.840 --> 00:03:35.520
We ask this in your name, amen.

00:03:37.120 --> 00:03:44.960
It's the poet David White that writes one of the more profound poems on pain, and it's titled The Well of Grief.

00:03:45.520 --> 00:03:46.639
Listen to his words.

00:03:46.879 --> 00:04:12.879
Says, Those who will not slip beneath the still surface on the well of grief, turning down through its black water to a pl to the place we cannot breathe, will never know the source from which we drink the secret water cold and clear, nor find in the darkness glimmering the small round coins thrown by those who wished for something else.

00:04:13.599 --> 00:04:26.000
This poem, The Well of Grief, is a reminder that there is pain, there is loss, and that there is tragedy in this world.

00:04:26.240 --> 00:04:28.000
We know this, it's inevitable.

00:04:28.240 --> 00:04:36.000
Suffering is universal, experiencing the unescapable ugliness and quite frankly the absurdity of life.

00:04:36.720 --> 00:04:42.879
And it's within this well of drowning darkness that we can feel like God is gone.

00:04:44.160 --> 00:04:47.519
And the only thing keeping us company is our misery.

00:04:48.639 --> 00:04:58.079
As the poet gave his well the general name grief, we know that everyone's encounter with loss and suffering, it is unique.

00:04:58.560 --> 00:05:05.600
Every failure, tragedy, and offense are painful in their own way, and they need to be named.

00:05:06.879 --> 00:05:11.519
With the well as a metaphor for this deep, dark pain.

00:05:11.759 --> 00:05:15.040
Maybe you wouldn't name your well the well of grief.

00:05:15.920 --> 00:05:18.720
Maybe you would name it the well of broken dreams.

00:05:20.079 --> 00:05:22.240
Maybe the well of loneliness.

00:05:22.560 --> 00:05:24.399
Maybe the well of debt.

00:05:25.600 --> 00:05:27.199
The well of addiction.

00:05:28.319 --> 00:05:30.000
The well of disease.

00:05:31.040 --> 00:05:36.639
Or what we'll be looking directly at today, the well of sexual abuse.

00:05:38.959 --> 00:05:47.279
For it's the well of sexual abuse that we are going to journey into this morning, not to find answers as to why it happened.

00:05:48.000 --> 00:05:50.399
Because I don't know why.

00:05:51.759 --> 00:06:03.439
But through the dim, frigid, and suffocating waters, like in our poem, can there ever be this dark, glimmering hope to find at the bottom of this cruel well?

00:06:03.600 --> 00:06:08.879
And that is such an offensive question to even pose to such an offensive act.

00:06:11.360 --> 00:06:24.560
But as we started this series in Genesis, titled The Dysfunctional Family of God, our lead Pastor Ryan commissioned us to look for God's redemptive thread in the midst of humanity's dysfunction and brokenness.

00:06:26.720 --> 00:06:42.079
And today, could it be that the redemptive thread in this deep well is that the deep well of sexual abuse, yes, it is dark, yes, it is destructive, but maybe it doesn't have to define us.

00:06:43.680 --> 00:06:57.839
We live in a world right now with one in four girls, one in six boys in the United States, they are sexually abused before the age of 18, with even further abuses currently happening within adulthood.

00:06:58.639 --> 00:07:05.839
Renowned psychologist and author and co-founder of the Global Trauma Recovery Institute, Diane Langberg, she writes these words.

00:07:06.160 --> 00:07:10.399
Sexuality is one of the most vulnerable aspects of being human.

00:07:10.639 --> 00:07:12.800
It is present both birth and death.

00:07:12.959 --> 00:07:17.600
Sexuality is intricately tied to both identity and intimacy.

00:07:18.079 --> 00:07:22.480
The potential for damage is extremely high.

00:07:24.720 --> 00:07:30.959
The well of sexual abuse, it is filled with poisonous waters that touches all of us in some fashion.

00:07:31.199 --> 00:07:36.639
Those very close to me have experienced sexualized violence.

00:07:37.199 --> 00:07:46.000
I've pastored numerous men and women over the 32 years of ministry that have dealt with the trauma of such violations.

00:07:47.680 --> 00:08:00.079
And we know that these horrific abuses, they're happening within our homes, they're happening within our schools, they're happening within our workplaces, they're happening in public settings, and yes, they are even happening within the church.

00:08:02.079 --> 00:08:11.360
And what we discover in our biblical text today is that these atrocities were also happening within the homes of our biblical heroes.

00:08:12.480 --> 00:08:17.839
Our story starts off in chapter 16, verse 1, with nine concerning words.

00:08:18.079 --> 00:08:19.360
Those nine words are this.

00:08:19.519 --> 00:08:25.600
Now Sarai, Abraham's wife, Abram's wife, had borne him no children.

00:08:26.480 --> 00:08:33.440
We're immediately faced with a point of tension, a rather significant problem, which is Sarai's infertility.

00:08:33.759 --> 00:08:39.120
The barrenness of Sarai, or whom we know as Sarah, is a problem for two key reasons.

00:08:39.279 --> 00:08:49.440
The first reason is Sarah's infertility was a severe dilemma during this time and culture due to the extreme pressure that was placed upon women to bear children.

00:08:49.840 --> 00:09:09.519
As mentioned last month, following the fall, man and woman, they transitioned from this space of complete oneness and mutuality to a fractured hierarchy and power struggle where Adam then gave the woman the name Eve, meaning mother, reducing and manipulating her identity to just one function.

00:09:10.320 --> 00:09:16.000
Therefore, bearing children is the mark for success of a wife.

00:09:16.480 --> 00:09:25.360
Sarah's infertility was a constant reminder of just feeling less, not having any ability to give her husband security and prestige through an heir.

00:09:25.440 --> 00:09:32.799
And some of you that have struggled with infertility, you know how crushing this place can be.

00:09:34.399 --> 00:09:45.200
Now, the second reason why Sarah's barrenness was problematic was due to an apparent lack of follow-through on a promise that God made back in chapter 12.

00:09:45.279 --> 00:09:47.600
And so, guys, allow me to set the context here.

00:09:47.679 --> 00:10:00.799
Again, following the blessing and empowerment of humanity to rule and flourish within the garden of chapters 1 and 2, that power was then abused in Genesis 3, choosing evil over good.

00:10:01.360 --> 00:10:14.080
And so these selfish actions resulted in the fall with the spilling out of like this brokenness and this chaos that we see all throughout the first 11 chapters of Genesis, ending with Babel that Ryan just taught on last Sunday.

00:10:14.320 --> 00:10:23.840
And so what we find is God is still on this relentless pursuit of to rescue his creation, to bring back man and woman to the goodness of the garden.

00:10:23.919 --> 00:10:34.559
And in chapter 12, and really for the rest of the book, we see that there's actually a shift and a focus on a particular family fathered by Abram, or as we know, Abraham.

00:10:35.120 --> 00:10:42.799
Therefore, strictly out of God's grace, hear me on this, strictly out of God's grace, unconditional favor, nothing else.

00:10:43.360 --> 00:10:48.480
We find God calling out to Abraham back in Genesis 12.

00:10:48.720 --> 00:10:59.600
The words read: The Lord said to Abram, Go from your country, your people, and your father's household to a land I will show you, I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you.

00:11:00.159 --> 00:11:03.600
These are some of the most recognized words within all of Scripture.

00:11:03.840 --> 00:11:17.440
It's known as the Abrahamic covenant, and it actually launches a slow and gentle unfolding of God's rescuing plan, first for a particular people, but then there is a redemptive free-for-all through Jesus.

00:11:18.000 --> 00:11:28.559
However, if you are the wife of the man who has been promised a great, glorious nation under the one true God, and you are not conceiving, the pressure is on.

00:11:29.679 --> 00:11:43.679
And at the time of this promise, Sarah is 65, she's in her mid-60s, Abraham's in his mid-70s, and then there's just 10 more years of rejected pregnancy tests as we come to then Genesis 16.

00:11:43.840 --> 00:11:49.600
And so, how is Sarah supposed to trust a God that seems really untrustworthy right now?

00:11:51.840 --> 00:11:57.360
Patience on God in any area of our lives can lead to great pain.

00:11:58.000 --> 00:12:05.679
Desperation can seep in, and sometimes our desperation designs dark deeds.

00:12:06.559 --> 00:12:12.240
As the deep well of sexual abuse, it always starts in the darkness.

00:12:13.840 --> 00:12:19.759
Here are the moments we find our heroes of faith acting very unheroic and actually even hideous.

00:12:20.480 --> 00:12:33.200
Jumping back to Genesis 16, again it reads this Now Sarai, Abram's wife, had borne him no children, but she had an Egyptian slave named Hagar, so she said to Abram, The Lord has kept me from having children.

00:12:33.360 --> 00:12:34.639
Go sleep with my slave.

00:12:34.799 --> 00:12:37.039
Perhaps I can build a family through her.

00:12:38.639 --> 00:12:45.200
These two paragraphs reveal a gross and sinful backdrop to some gross and sinful actions.

00:12:45.919 --> 00:12:51.600
First, the gross and sinful backdrop is this slavery, which was prevalent within this culture.

00:12:51.759 --> 00:13:08.240
Now, this is different than the horrific racialized chattel slavery of our ugly American past that kidnapped and enslaved millions of African brothers and sisters for 200 years, where the echo of generational trauma and oppressive systems still exist.

00:13:09.600 --> 00:13:18.879
This form of slavery within our text was actually normative, didn't distinguish between race, later allowed slaves to buy themselves out with wages they earn.

00:13:19.039 --> 00:13:21.200
But guys, let's not sugarcoat this.

00:13:21.840 --> 00:13:25.360
One human owning another human is fundamentally wrong.

00:13:25.519 --> 00:13:27.279
It's anti-biblical.

00:13:27.519 --> 00:13:32.720
And we are commanded to love every person as a dignified image bearer.

00:13:32.879 --> 00:13:39.919
And so you may ask, if it's anti-biblical, if it's simple, then why does God allow it?

00:13:42.799 --> 00:13:48.799
In a strange and obscene way, it comes down to his disturbing grace.

00:13:50.559 --> 00:13:52.000
For he's patient.

00:13:52.799 --> 00:14:00.000
He actually has a progress of redemption that keeps in stride with our progress of corruption.

00:14:00.320 --> 00:14:02.559
Allowance doesn't mean acceptance.

00:14:02.799 --> 00:14:05.200
Silence doesn't mean it's sanctioned.

00:14:05.440 --> 00:14:11.679
Our God gently mothers his children towards his heart over a period of time.

00:14:11.919 --> 00:14:19.440
Scripture even tells us that Abraham worshipped other gods all throughout his lifetime while worshiping God.

00:14:19.679 --> 00:14:21.360
And God allowed it.

00:14:25.039 --> 00:14:29.919
But then there was a line in the sand where God eventually said, okay, enough.

00:14:30.240 --> 00:14:32.720
One God, one spouse.

00:14:33.440 --> 00:14:41.039
When Jesus came as liberator, placing everyone on equal footing, he set a new kingdom standard and he abolished slavery and patriarchy.

00:14:41.360 --> 00:14:50.960
And when Jesus was asked in Matthew 19 why God allowed a looser version of divorce under Moses, he responds, because their hearts were hard.

00:14:51.679 --> 00:15:02.639
Even now, our hard hearts and evil actions, they break the heart of our loving Creator, but he is patient and he is gentle, seeking to restore us back to the foundations of his kingdom.

00:15:02.799 --> 00:15:11.120
The Apostle Peter puts it this way: the Lord is patient toward you, not wishing any of you should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

00:15:11.759 --> 00:15:21.360
Now for Sarah, not only was the slave system a norm for her day, but so was the use of these servants as breeders.

00:15:21.679 --> 00:15:37.200
Again, due to the heavy pressure upon women to bear children, it was not uncommon for the wealthy, infertile couple to use and objectify their slave as a surrogate to bear a child that would then be claimed by the wife as her own.

00:15:38.639 --> 00:15:50.240
And so, with now a bitter heart towards God, Sarah offers up her slave Hagar, allowing us to see how the father of our faith responds.

00:15:51.600 --> 00:15:53.679
We continue in Genesis 16, too.

00:15:53.919 --> 00:15:56.240
Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

00:15:57.440 --> 00:16:12.480
So after Abram had been living in Canaan ten years, Sarai, his wife, took her slave, Hagar, and gave her to her husband to be his wife.

00:16:13.120 --> 00:16:15.600
He slept with Hagar and she conceived.

00:16:17.759 --> 00:16:24.639
Sexual abuse is any sexual act directed against another person without their consent.

00:16:26.559 --> 00:16:29.679
And here it appears there is no consent from Hagar.

00:16:30.480 --> 00:16:41.919
And so we stand at the foot of this deep well of sexual abuse, wondering just how dark and just how destructive this will be to her, and will this define her?

00:16:43.279 --> 00:16:47.039
The voice of Hagar isn't even recorded in this section.

00:16:47.200 --> 00:16:50.399
As a matter of fact, they don't even call her by name, ever.

00:16:52.080 --> 00:16:56.960
You can barely imagine what she had to endure through this act.

00:16:57.200 --> 00:17:01.120
But the text alludes to a passive response.

00:17:02.000 --> 00:17:08.960
Sometimes when we judge the victim of sexual abuse from our white ivory towers, we can ask the question: why didn't they run?

00:17:09.680 --> 00:17:11.519
Why didn't they fight back?

00:17:12.079 --> 00:17:24.640
But what science has unveiled about the way our Creator has designed us is that we have a reaction to these experiences that isn't just fight or flight, but there's also freeze.

00:17:24.720 --> 00:17:28.079
It's a way in which the body seeks to protect itself.

00:17:28.480 --> 00:17:42.640
We may not fully understand, but sometimes freezing is the safest and only response the body has, and to say to survivors under such circumstances that they actually wanted these violations or that it was their fault.

00:17:43.440 --> 00:17:45.039
That is ignorant.

00:17:45.680 --> 00:17:57.759
That is destructive, that is ungodly, as the exploitation of the vulnerable reveals everything about the abuser and nothing about the victim.

00:18:00.319 --> 00:18:08.400
And yet we also can't ignore the power dynamics at play here, as any refusal in Hagar's heart meant very little.

00:18:08.799 --> 00:18:13.200
Consent means that it is safe to say no.

00:18:13.839 --> 00:18:20.480
And for Hagar, she was not only the tea under the tyranny of slavery, but the possibility of death if she refused.

00:18:21.519 --> 00:18:28.000
For others caught in sexual abuse, they're children under the power dynamics of an adult.

00:18:29.759 --> 00:18:41.599
Teens manipulated and desensitized by the calculated grooming process of a trusted spiritual leader, employees under the threats of termination from their boss.

00:18:43.920 --> 00:18:56.720
And so whether you were drunk on a party room floor, whether you were 14 with a 40-year-old, under the threat of harmful retaliation, you didn't have the capacity or safety to say no.

00:18:57.599 --> 00:19:11.279
And yet it's at this deep well of sexual abuse that there are many that are still suffocating in the darkness and the destructive waters with a sense of guilt and anger towards themselves, feeling like they've betrayed God.

00:19:11.839 --> 00:19:21.359
They carry a heavy blame, sometimes even judging their past childhood, teenage, or drunken self through the present lens of their adult, sober-minded self.

00:19:21.519 --> 00:19:23.519
Judgments that are unfair.

00:19:25.279 --> 00:19:29.680
You see, the deep well of sexual abuse, it isn't just dark and destructive.

00:19:29.920 --> 00:19:45.599
And it isn't just a dark and destructive event or series of events, but it is a long-term, comprehensively damaging part of a person's being that is endured throughout a lifetime, but can it be that it doesn't have to define you?

00:19:48.000 --> 00:19:50.240
Now we have to ask this question.

00:19:50.559 --> 00:20:00.160
Why would Sarah, a woman, want to forcibly force another woman into such a violent and abusive act?

00:20:01.119 --> 00:20:05.200
There's more than cultural norms and desperation at play here.

00:20:05.440 --> 00:20:12.400
Sarah's actions are also stemming to a very dark and destructive past.

00:20:13.279 --> 00:20:27.519
I want us to jump back, hang with me again, back to chapter 12, because as we jump back to chapter 12, following God's covenant with Abraham to make a great nation through him, we find that Abraham's response with obedience, which is great.

00:20:27.599 --> 00:20:28.799
We celebrate that.

00:20:29.039 --> 00:20:37.359
Following God's command to pick up his family, leave his home in southern Iraq, and journey to a land that God will eventually reveal.

00:20:37.599 --> 00:20:40.400
I mean, this is a great act of faith.

00:20:40.880 --> 00:20:44.400
But then it quickly subsides into a posture of faithlessness.

00:20:44.640 --> 00:20:47.359
So awakening, again, backstory.

00:20:47.759 --> 00:20:56.960
Because as Abraham is making his way to this land that is promised to him and his family, we read in chapter 12, verse 10, a problem arises.

00:20:57.039 --> 00:21:03.759
It says this now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.

00:21:04.000 --> 00:21:08.240
Now, famine within Canaan was typical during this time, infrequent rainfalls.

00:21:08.400 --> 00:21:10.240
The standard practice was to flee to Egypt.

00:21:10.400 --> 00:21:11.680
It was by the Nile.

00:21:11.920 --> 00:21:15.119
And historically, Egypt acted as a sanctuary city.

00:21:15.279 --> 00:21:18.079
They were open to refugees, they were open to immigrants.

00:21:18.319 --> 00:21:20.400
And so the story continues in verse 11.

00:21:20.559 --> 00:21:25.279
As he went to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, I know what a beautiful woman you are.

00:21:25.440 --> 00:21:28.960
When the Egyptians see you, they will say, This is his wife.

00:21:29.200 --> 00:21:31.440
Then they will kill me, but let you live.

00:21:31.759 --> 00:21:33.680
Say you are my sister.

00:21:34.640 --> 00:21:39.200
So I will be treated well for your sake, and my life will be spared because of you.

00:21:41.039 --> 00:21:45.119
Historians say Abraham's reaction here is actually very unusual.

00:21:45.519 --> 00:21:48.000
Immigrants were typically protected within this region.

00:21:48.160 --> 00:21:52.480
Actually, adultery during this time was a significant offense.

00:21:52.799 --> 00:21:59.599
So whether it was the insecurity of being an unattached from extended family, he was in a new land, he panics with a lack of.

00:22:00.160 --> 00:22:05.759
Faith in God's promise and protection, and He begins to take the narrative and control it.

00:22:07.279 --> 00:22:16.880
The deep well of sexual abuse, it requires a blend of both coercion and deception.

00:22:18.160 --> 00:22:24.240
And the ingredients have been sprinkled in our story, waiting to destroy.

00:22:25.119 --> 00:22:26.960
We continue reading in verse 14.

00:22:28.319 --> 00:22:38.160
When Abram came to Egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarah was a very beautiful woman, and when Pharaoh's officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh, and she was then taken into his palace.

00:22:38.319 --> 00:22:46.160
He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants and camels.

00:22:46.319 --> 00:22:52.799
And so now the question is: when it comes to Abraham's scheme, was it really for survival or economic gain?

00:22:52.960 --> 00:22:56.640
Because he emerges here an even wealthier man.

00:22:56.960 --> 00:23:08.319
He's not only given livestock, but also he's presented with both male and female servants, where he most likely acquires Hagar, that we find about four chapters later.

00:23:09.039 --> 00:23:21.200
The tragedy of Abraham's actions is that he knowingly endangers Sarah, sending her into the chambers of Pharaoh as a member of his harem with a real possibility of rape.

00:23:21.519 --> 00:23:37.279
Once again, we have the hero of our faith acting incredibly unheroic, reminding us this that evil isn't something that we do, it's something that's in us, no matter our righteous acts, no matter our strong faith or our stellar reputation.

00:23:38.000 --> 00:23:45.119
Understand at this time, Abraham is the closest person to God hearing directly from him.

00:23:45.440 --> 00:23:54.799
In many ways, he is the only spiritual authority of his day where he has a sacred trust that's assumed in his leadership over others.

00:23:54.960 --> 00:24:10.559
And studies reveal that when a spiritual leader egregiously exploits their position of trust and power over those entrusted to their care, the traumatic effects, the spiritual injuries, they are exponential.

00:24:12.079 --> 00:24:19.440
Therefore, we have to wonder how the actions and trauma of this event affected Sarah.

00:24:20.079 --> 00:24:26.960
To have the apparent father of our faith use his power to manipulate and pressure her to lie.

00:24:27.119 --> 00:24:38.640
Biblical scholar Susanna Larry puts it this way: Sarah received the deep hurt of learning that women's bodies could be useful commodities in the power plays of men.

00:24:39.680 --> 00:24:54.880
Now, understand that the promise of blessing that God had with Abraham and his offspring, it wasn't a typical agreement that if humanity doesn't hold up to their end of the bargain, actually, then God swoops in and he terminates the contract.

00:24:55.039 --> 00:25:01.759
This is really one of the main points of the Old Testament leading up to Jesus, is that this was a covenant like none other.

00:25:02.079 --> 00:25:09.519
That God was fully committed to rescue his people no matter the cost or no matter the level of human sin.

00:25:10.160 --> 00:25:12.720
For nothing will separate us from the love of God.

00:25:12.960 --> 00:25:17.759
And so God's unmerited favor and rescue is then set in motion.

00:25:18.000 --> 00:25:19.920
Our story continues in verse 17.

00:25:20.079 --> 00:25:27.200
But the Lord inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram's wife Sarai.

00:25:28.160 --> 00:25:29.680
So Pharaoh summoned Abram.

00:25:29.839 --> 00:25:30.720
What have you done to me?

00:25:30.880 --> 00:25:31.440
He said.

00:25:38.960 --> 00:25:41.680
Now then, here's your wife, take her and go.

00:25:41.839 --> 00:25:48.160
Then Pharaoh gave orders about Abram to his men, and they sent him on his way and his wife and everything they had.

00:25:48.319 --> 00:25:55.759
I want you to notice this is a much different Egyptian Pharaoh than the one that we're familiar with centuries later in Exodus.

00:25:56.000 --> 00:25:59.920
This Pharaoh in Genesis 12, he's actually quick to release God's people.

00:26:00.079 --> 00:26:04.559
As a matter of fact, he has more faith in the one true God than Abraham does at this time.

00:26:05.200 --> 00:26:15.119
Abraham and Sarah, they're rescued, but the damage upon Sarah has already been done.

00:26:16.000 --> 00:26:37.039
The text never explicitly says whether or not Pharaoh had intercourse with Sarah, but many scholars can conclude that the description of the plagues, Pharaoh's visceral response to Abraham's lie, and the admission that Pharaoh took Sarah as his wife indicates sexual intercourse did occur.

00:26:38.960 --> 00:26:42.960
And we get to a point where like this is too much darkness, this is too much destruction.

00:26:43.119 --> 00:26:45.680
It's too much for us to take in, and it's disgusting.

00:26:45.839 --> 00:26:53.279
I mean, why would God allow his holy book to entail so much horror and abuse, especially done to women?

00:26:55.039 --> 00:27:00.240
But actually, our God cares too much to ignore the pain.

00:27:01.119 --> 00:27:01.440
Dr.

00:27:01.599 --> 00:27:10.160
Helen Payne at Bristol Baptist College says it this way: if the narrative is to be truthful, it must also portray the darkest sides of women's experience.

00:27:10.400 --> 00:27:19.759
If we did not find that side portrayed, we would rightly be indignant that women's suffering were so irrelevant to the authors, they didn't bother to record it.

00:27:20.799 --> 00:27:31.200
And so we find in our story that Sarah has also been thrown into the deep well of sexual abuse that is so dark and so destructive.

00:27:31.279 --> 00:27:34.799
And we have to ask the question: is this now going to define her?

00:27:36.720 --> 00:27:47.759
The destructive nature of sexual abuse upon both men and women is that it not only causes like body shaming and self-harm, but it also has a deep emotional impact.

00:27:47.920 --> 00:28:05.279
Yes, there is fear, there is anger, there is grief, but there can also be reactions of just emotional numbness, unworthiness, thinking God isn't good, his love doesn't exist, he won't come through.

00:28:06.880 --> 00:28:15.839
Aside from being a broken person, like you and I, I mean, this story does give further meaning into Sarah's treatment of Hagar.

00:28:16.480 --> 00:28:19.200
It explains it, but it doesn't excuse it.

00:28:20.240 --> 00:28:26.640
It reminds us, guys, that hurt people hurt people when healing hasn't taken place.

00:28:26.799 --> 00:28:34.160
Just because you're the victim in one context doesn't prevent you from becoming an abuser in another context.

00:28:35.440 --> 00:28:37.920
And we see Sarah's abuse only continue.

00:28:38.000 --> 00:28:43.039
As we jump back to Genesis 16 and to Hagar's story, it continues.

00:28:43.519 --> 00:28:47.200
When Hagar knew she was pregnant, she began to despise her mistress Sarai.

00:28:47.440 --> 00:28:51.680
Then Sarai said to Abram, You are responsible for the wrong I am suffering.

00:28:51.759 --> 00:28:54.799
I put my slave in your arms, and now she knows she is pregnant.

00:28:54.960 --> 00:28:56.160
She despises me.

00:28:56.319 --> 00:28:59.039
May the Lord judge between you and me.

00:28:59.519 --> 00:29:01.839
Your slave is in your hands, Abram said.

00:29:03.440 --> 00:29:05.680
Do with her whatever you think is best.

00:29:05.839 --> 00:29:11.039
Then Sarai mistreated Hagar, so she fled from her.

00:29:12.400 --> 00:29:14.559
The tables have turned initially in the story.

00:29:14.720 --> 00:29:17.599
We have Hagar looking down on Sarah.

00:29:18.000 --> 00:29:30.799
We're not sure if this was out of pride and seizing her new cultural status as being a pregnant woman, or if it was just out of spite that she had to endure the hardship of carrying a child that she would then have to forfeit over.

00:29:32.000 --> 00:29:37.279
Whatever the source of Hagar looking down on Sarah, Sarah doesn't like it.

00:29:37.440 --> 00:29:39.359
She blames Abraham for her situation.

00:29:39.519 --> 00:29:46.720
Therefore, Abraham passively turns Hagar back over to Sarah, which then results in domestic violence.

00:29:47.279 --> 00:29:52.640
Hagar's previous sexual abuse is now compounded with physical abuse.

00:29:55.200 --> 00:30:08.960
This time with Hagar's fight, fight, flight, or freeze responses, the physical abuse we see is just so intolerable that she took flight, seizing the role of mother on her own terms.

00:30:09.759 --> 00:30:12.079
Now, hang with me here.

00:30:13.279 --> 00:30:19.359
It's in this next scene of our story that we find Hagar, she's in a dire situation.

00:30:19.759 --> 00:30:24.319
She suffered unimaginable sexual and physical abuse.

00:30:24.480 --> 00:30:35.119
She is single, she is pregnant, she's highly vulnerable, yet determined to make the impossible journey through the desert to her homeland in Egypt.

00:30:35.920 --> 00:30:47.200
But when the brain is flooded with traumatic stress, a person's decision making is impaired, which in reality Hagar is on a suicide mission.

00:30:47.599 --> 00:31:00.480
And so if you're thinking that this story is just so brutal and backwards and exploitive and oppressive, questioning how on earth can Abraham and Sarah be the heroes of our scriptures, that's the point of the story.

00:31:00.640 --> 00:31:01.519
They're not.

00:31:03.039 --> 00:31:04.000
God is.

00:31:06.559 --> 00:31:15.039
For as Hagar is resting at a well on her road to death.

00:31:15.519 --> 00:31:24.480
She's also carrying her deep well of sexual abuse, and it's dark and it's destructive, and we're wondering: is this how she will end?

00:31:24.640 --> 00:31:26.880
Is this what she will be defined as?

00:31:27.519 --> 00:31:31.920
But our story continues in verse 7 with actually a dramatic turn of events.

00:31:32.480 --> 00:31:36.240
The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a well in the desert.

00:31:36.319 --> 00:31:39.279
It was the well that is beside the roe of Shur.

00:31:40.240 --> 00:31:45.039
And he said, Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from?

00:31:47.279 --> 00:31:48.640
Where are you going?

00:31:50.240 --> 00:31:54.000
I'm running away from my mistress, Sarai, she answered.

00:31:56.240 --> 00:31:57.200
Awakening?

00:31:57.680 --> 00:32:00.000
I want you to notice a few things.

00:32:00.960 --> 00:32:10.400
This is not only the first time we hear someone call Hagar by name, but it's the first time we hear the voice of Hagar.

00:32:12.000 --> 00:32:15.200
And who gives a voice to the voiceless?

00:32:15.680 --> 00:32:19.759
It's none other than God Himself in angelic form.

00:32:20.400 --> 00:32:27.839
Awakening our loving Creator, he doesn't come with accusations, explanations, simple, quick solutions.

00:32:28.880 --> 00:32:32.079
He comes with the ministry of presence.

00:32:32.960 --> 00:32:42.240
He just has some simple questions to give her the space and the dignity to process her pain, to tell her story.

00:32:42.400 --> 00:32:45.519
He says, tell me about this deep well of sexual abuse.

00:32:45.680 --> 00:32:48.559
I know how dark and destructive it is.

00:32:49.599 --> 00:32:54.319
But Hagar, I want to hear it from you, and I want to hear it from your own words.

00:32:54.799 --> 00:32:57.279
Because God already knew the answers.

00:32:58.319 --> 00:33:12.079
But he embodied the loving act of bearing witness to listen to her pain, realizing time doesn't heal.

00:33:13.119 --> 00:33:25.200
Survivors must warrant agency over how they process their suffering at their own pace because what is unspeakable must be spoken with proper care and in proper settings.

00:33:26.319 --> 00:33:35.680
We now come to one of the more disturbing and misused verses within scripture, and you're probably wondering, more disturbing than what we've just read, yes.

00:33:37.200 --> 00:33:42.720
Then the angel of the Lord told her, Go back to your mistress and submit to her.

00:33:46.000 --> 00:33:53.440
This verse has been twisted and weaponized by white Southern pastors during the Civil War era.

00:33:55.119 --> 00:33:58.240
Manipulating slaves to return to their masters.

00:33:59.680 --> 00:34:07.759
This verse is still recklessly exploited by pastors and spiritual leaders to drive spouses back into an abusive relationship.

00:34:09.119 --> 00:34:15.119
But even recognizing those evil misinterpretations, this verse is still very disturbing.

00:34:15.519 --> 00:34:20.480
That the supposed God of goodness and love delivers this command.

00:34:20.800 --> 00:34:32.400
That yes, does he see this well, this deep well of dark destruction, of sexual abuse, and he's okay to allow more darkness and more destruction?

00:34:34.079 --> 00:34:35.519
A few things.

00:34:36.639 --> 00:34:46.800
First, we realize that the only practical way for Hagar's survival isn't forward into the desert, which is death, but backward.

00:34:47.440 --> 00:34:49.599
Even if going backward is still dangerous.

00:34:49.679 --> 00:34:54.000
But here, it may not be as dangerous as we think.

00:34:54.239 --> 00:34:56.159
We have to keep reading.

00:34:56.400 --> 00:35:06.239
Because as we read on, we see that this unique command given just to Hagar is tied to a promise, and therefore it presupposes protection.

00:35:07.440 --> 00:35:08.960
We continue on, verse 10.

00:35:09.039 --> 00:35:14.239
The angel added, I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.

00:35:14.480 --> 00:35:19.840
The angel of the Lord also said to her, You are now pregnant, and you will give birth to a son.

00:35:20.159 --> 00:35:22.159
You shall name him Ishmael.

00:35:22.719 --> 00:35:25.199
For the Lord has heard of your misery.

00:35:25.440 --> 00:35:30.079
He will be a wild donkey of a man, his hand will be against everyone.

00:35:30.559 --> 00:35:36.559
And everyone's hand against him, he will live in hostility towards all his brothers.

00:35:37.760 --> 00:35:40.239
Hang with me here, Awakening, don't miss this.

00:35:42.000 --> 00:35:56.559
For what we find is that the God of the universe not only comforts this abused foreign slave who worships Egyptian gods, but he also makes a similar covenant that he does with Abraham.

00:35:56.960 --> 00:36:06.639
He affirms that, yes, this deep well of sexual abuse, it is dark and it is destructive, but my sweet child, I won't let it define you.

00:36:06.960 --> 00:36:13.679
For as Abraham is the great patriarch, Hagar, you will be destined and defined as the great matriarch.

00:36:14.639 --> 00:36:23.840
And she was not only promised a son that will birth a nation, but that he will also be a wild donkey of a man.

00:36:24.400 --> 00:36:26.880
Not the most flattering of translations.

00:36:28.639 --> 00:36:40.239
A better translation would actually mean stallion for what the Hebrew word is trying to get at here and what was being said, because it's seeking to illustrate that her offspring will be running free and wild.

00:36:40.400 --> 00:36:46.639
They will be liberated from the bondage of slavery, they will be untethered from social conventions.

00:36:47.679 --> 00:36:55.119
And so God names this son Ishmael, which means the God who hears.

00:36:55.440 --> 00:37:00.400
Ishmael will be a living, constant reminder for Hagar.

00:37:01.280 --> 00:37:13.840
The God who heard her cries when being sold to Abraham's family and removed from her homeland, the God who heard her cries when being forced into sexual intercourse and pregnancy, the God who heard her cries when being beaten by Sarah.

00:37:15.039 --> 00:37:20.079
And so she is just astonished by God's care for the oppressed and the afflicted.

00:37:20.320 --> 00:37:30.800
And Hagar is the first person and only person within Scripture to then directly respond by naming God back.

00:37:31.679 --> 00:37:36.239
She says this she gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her.

00:37:39.199 --> 00:37:44.000
She said, I have seen the one who sees me.

00:37:45.280 --> 00:37:52.880
What Hagar is saying is that the world saw abusable and disposable and discarded, you saw cherished.

00:37:53.840 --> 00:38:01.920
They saw trash and you saw treasure, they saw property and you saw person, a mother of a nation.

00:38:03.039 --> 00:38:09.360
That though the deep well of sexual abuse is dark and destructive, I will not allow it to define me.

00:38:09.679 --> 00:38:16.880
Because only the great author and creator of this universe has the right and the power to define me.

00:38:18.159 --> 00:38:23.920
For those that never find healing from sexual violence, trauma and victimization becomes their identity.

00:38:24.000 --> 00:38:31.599
But for Hagar, she is given and embraces a new identity rooted in God's promise, goodness, and truth.

00:38:32.320 --> 00:38:42.320
And so therefore, strengthened in her spirit, Hagar returns to Abraham and Sarah, and our story of rescue and redemption ends with these verses right here.

00:38:42.800 --> 00:38:46.639
This is why the well was called the well of the living one who sees me.

00:38:46.800 --> 00:38:49.280
It is still there between Kadesh and Bared.

00:38:49.679 --> 00:38:56.400
So Hagar bore Abram a son, and Abram gave the name Ishmael to the son she had born.

00:38:56.960 --> 00:38:57.920
Take note.

00:39:07.440 --> 00:39:14.079
And Sarah would give birth to, then later, 14 years later, her promised son Isaac.

00:39:15.119 --> 00:39:19.920
But in this final section, I want you to notice one more thing.

00:39:24.880 --> 00:39:28.480
In this final section, she does something very powerful.

00:39:28.719 --> 00:39:36.320
Hagar marks the moment, naming the well by her side, the well of the living one who sees me.

00:39:36.480 --> 00:39:46.960
And so if you're a person right now sitting in the deep well of sexual abuse, still today, I want you to know there is a well right next to you.

00:39:47.119 --> 00:39:50.079
It's the one who sees me, the living one who sees me.

00:39:50.239 --> 00:39:51.199
He sees you.

00:39:51.519 --> 00:39:52.639
He sees you.

00:39:53.760 --> 00:39:59.360
He saw the unimaginable offense and offenses that violated you.

00:40:00.000 --> 00:40:06.559
He saw the subtle charms, calculated dismantling of your senses and the silent struggle that you're drowning in.

00:40:06.800 --> 00:40:11.679
He saw how your body went in the freeze mode, feeling confused and paralyzed.

00:40:11.840 --> 00:40:16.000
He sees the pain, the disgust, the anxiety that you are carrying.

00:40:16.079 --> 00:40:28.400
He sees those feelings of guilt and worthlessness and bitterness, and he sees this deep well of sexual abuse and its darkness and its destructiveness, but he refuses to allow it to define you.

00:40:28.639 --> 00:40:31.119
Because he declares, you are strong.

00:40:31.679 --> 00:40:33.039
You are worthy.

00:40:33.280 --> 00:40:37.760
You are a beautiful creation made in the image of the Creator.

00:40:43.280 --> 00:40:49.119
We've gone deep into the well of sexual abuse.

00:40:52.000 --> 00:41:00.079
And this text reminds us that trauma and sexual abuse, it comes in all sorts of jagged shapes, painful situations.

00:41:02.639 --> 00:41:08.079
Everyone has your own harmful story, healing timeline, whatever that may be.

00:41:08.559 --> 00:41:10.239
But where do we go from here?

00:41:11.599 --> 00:41:15.039
I want to provide just a few potential next steps.

00:41:16.079 --> 00:41:18.960
Maybe today you're feeling like parts of Hagar.

00:41:19.679 --> 00:41:21.119
You're a survivor.

00:41:21.440 --> 00:41:28.480
You suffered the harsh effects of sexual abuse, yet you've also experienced the long and difficult healing process.

00:41:28.639 --> 00:41:33.599
Today, one thing, just remind yourself, we could lose this.

00:41:33.920 --> 00:41:36.719
What happened to you was dark and destructive.

00:41:38.239 --> 00:41:39.679
It was dark and destructive.

00:41:39.840 --> 00:41:41.840
Careful not to minimize the evil.

00:41:42.079 --> 00:41:44.880
Careful not to minimize what was taken from you.

00:41:46.079 --> 00:41:51.599
Though the abuse doesn't define us, we can't deny that it's changed us forever.

00:41:51.679 --> 00:41:55.039
And so may you be reminded that you are worthy.

00:41:55.360 --> 00:42:07.599
And may you and many others in this room create safe spaces where we can be tangible healing agents for the countless victims in our community.

00:42:07.840 --> 00:42:11.599
We want to be a representation of the God who hears, the God who sees.

00:42:11.760 --> 00:42:13.760
We want to weep with those who weep.

00:42:16.320 --> 00:42:21.199
For others, maybe you feel like some pieces we witnessed in Sarah today.

00:42:22.239 --> 00:42:28.800
Someone who's potentially stuck in bitterness, numbness, isolation, unable, unwilling to confront the painful past.

00:42:30.880 --> 00:42:39.760
But you know, we see it here, the research shows it, that will eventually come back to harm you, your family, and your friends.

00:42:41.039 --> 00:42:46.960
God's big enough to receive any rage you have, any frustrations, any cynicism.

00:42:47.519 --> 00:42:57.599
But healing comes from the purposeful and prudent processing with a trustworthy, empathetic witness, as well as a trained professional.

00:42:58.559 --> 00:43:08.639
And so on the back of your teaching notes, you'll find two counseling groups in our area that you can just begin to explore next steps with on your hard yet necessary healing journey.

00:43:08.880 --> 00:43:16.800
But that journey starts on your own terms, on your own time, in step with the Spirit.

00:43:18.559 --> 00:43:29.119
Third, we also can't be naive to think that there aren't those in our myths that are identifying with the portions of Abraham.

00:43:30.320 --> 00:43:36.320
Either someone complicit to or even currently active in the sexual abuse of another.

00:43:36.559 --> 00:43:42.639
Because the unnerving truth about the God who sees is that yes, he sees the victim, he also sees the abuser.

00:43:44.000 --> 00:43:51.360
Yes, we have a God of grace and forgiveness, but he is also a God of justice and of boundaries, especially protecting the vulnerable.

00:43:51.840 --> 00:44:01.920
Your deception is not only dark and destructive towards an innocent person that's made in the image of God, but it is also dark and destructive to your Very own soul.

00:44:02.639 --> 00:44:08.079
Healing comes from bringing your sin into the light and holding you accountable.

00:44:08.239 --> 00:44:14.559
Not being held accountable for the sake of rehabilitation, it's an insult to your humanity.

00:44:15.199 --> 00:44:26.719
So if you are someone who's being sexually abused, you're witnessing it being done to others, or if in fact you are the very abuser, get help now.

00:44:27.920 --> 00:44:31.519
You'll find several reporting options on our teaching notes as well.

00:44:31.679 --> 00:44:38.719
And if you need support in making such a difficult yet necessary statement, we are here to help with that.

00:44:41.119 --> 00:44:50.480
I don't know where all of us are on the continuum of this difficult topic, but I just want you to be reminded there is a God that stands in solidarity with you.

00:44:51.280 --> 00:44:53.760
He is close to the brokenhearted.

00:44:54.239 --> 00:44:59.119
There is a well of the living one who sees me next to all of our wells.

00:44:59.519 --> 00:45:04.800
Sexual abuse, disease, addiction.

00:45:06.480 --> 00:45:08.880
The well of the living one who sees.

00:45:09.599 --> 00:45:33.760
And so as we approach communion, we're reminded that actually God continues his redemptive plan all throughout the scriptures, and we discover that he's not only the God that sees, and he's not only the God that hears, he's actually the God that enters into and experiences the depths of the darkness, the depths of the destruction through his son Jesus.

00:45:38.719 --> 00:45:43.440
In the very nature of God did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage.

00:45:43.599 --> 00:45:57.199
Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness, and being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on the cross.

00:45:57.519 --> 00:46:01.760
God's precious son is the great empathizer of our pain.

00:46:02.000 --> 00:46:08.159
Because as many of us know, that deep journey to the cross was very dark, very destructive.

00:46:08.400 --> 00:46:13.760
He's gone before us in every way, experiencing the total sufferings of this world.

00:46:15.760 --> 00:46:17.360
Awakening, hear me.

00:46:18.239 --> 00:46:20.960
Jesus knows what it's like to be pushed aside.

00:46:21.760 --> 00:46:24.639
He knows what it's like to be not believed, betrayed.

00:46:24.800 --> 00:46:28.960
He knows what it's like to be humiliated, mocked, treated like trash.

00:46:29.119 --> 00:46:33.679
He knows what it's like to experience the silence of his heavenly father.

00:46:33.840 --> 00:46:36.880
He even knows the pain and evil of sexual abuse.

00:46:37.599 --> 00:46:45.360
Twice it's recorded that his clothes were stripped off of him, a form of sexual assault that seeks to strip off the person's dignity.

00:46:46.159 --> 00:47:03.360
We also know that from the traditional Roman crucifixion practices of Jesus' day, not only did that include beatings and whippings with horrific instruments, but it also at times included sexual abuse as a way of opposing just total humiliation upon their victim.

00:47:05.039 --> 00:47:16.239
We began with a poem titled The Well of Grief and its subtlety towards this idea that there could be something glimmering in the darkness.

00:47:17.760 --> 00:47:22.639
Yes, this deep well of sexual abuse, it is dark and it is destructive.

00:47:22.800 --> 00:47:28.639
Yet the deeper we swim towards the bottom, we find, in fact, that there is a glimmering hope.

00:47:28.880 --> 00:47:37.039
The great empathizer Jesus, who has experienced all of our sufferings and more, he made himself nothing on our behalf.

00:47:38.159 --> 00:47:41.280
And so in a moment, the team's going to lead us in worship.

00:47:42.559 --> 00:47:54.000
And as we approach the communion tables up front or in the back, I encourage you that as you take the bread, be reminded that it represents Jesus' body abused on our behalf.

00:47:55.199 --> 00:48:00.960
As you dip it into the cup representing blood spilled, it reminds us that this was not just to dismiss sin.

00:48:01.199 --> 00:48:04.000
This was to severely pay for it.

00:48:04.960 --> 00:48:21.840
And as you eat, be reminded that he went to those dark and destructive places so that we can rest in the glimmering hope of himself and that one day there will be no more death, no more crying, no more pain, no more abuse of any kind.

00:48:23.679 --> 00:48:36.960
This deep well of sexual abuse in our world, it is dark, it is destructive, but through Jesus' death and resurrection, it will not define our lives, it will not define his coming kingdom.

00:48:38.000 --> 00:48:41.199
Let us go to God now and just talk to him.

00:48:50.239 --> 00:48:54.320
God, we just want to talk to you in our hearts.

00:48:56.480 --> 00:48:58.239
And we just want to thank you.

00:48:59.519 --> 00:49:10.639
Thank you for your presence here, but also thank for you, thank you for your presence in those dark and really painful places in our lives that you've gone before us.

00:49:11.280 --> 00:49:12.239
You understand.

00:49:13.920 --> 00:49:16.719
And so we ask that you would continue to heal.

00:49:19.920 --> 00:49:26.639
And when we are healed up enough, may we be agents of healing.

00:49:29.280 --> 00:49:33.519
We offer ourselves to just be ambassadors of you.

00:49:34.960 --> 00:49:37.599
And so now we just want to give you our worship.

00:49:37.840 --> 00:49:43.039
We just want to say that you are good, that you're strong, you protect.

00:49:44.400 --> 00:49:51.360
And we also want to be reminded of the incredible act that you did on the cross for us.

00:49:55.360 --> 00:49:57.519
And so we just give you our worship now.

00:49:57.679 --> 00:49:58.400
In your name.

00:49:58.639 --> 00:49:59.280
Amen.

00:50:00.239 --> 00:50:02.480
We hope you are blessed by this message.
