Hey everyone, I am with Leo from uh Monaco and I'm very excited to see you here in Geneva. I'm very happy to be here. Today is the first day. First day. How was your first impression? Thomas, I have to say that I thought that after a certain amount of years this feeling would go away, but I can say that to this day, having done uh Geneva many times now, I still get butterflies every single time. Listen, today is my first time in Geneva. I did 10 Basel World, I love that. It's funny that you say that because I feel like exactly I have the butterfly in my in my you know in my in my stomach. In my stomach, exactly. That was the worst. So yeah, definitely. It's very impressive as well to see all these brands, big brands but also small brands, independent brands. So it's very cool. And the cool thing is that to have all these people from the industry under one roof, it's very exciting. Absolutely. I think you told me today that you met with Tag Warrior. We did, we did. Uh obviously you have Uboutique in Montreal. Uh, how was the brand? I love it. I love what they're doing, you know, this year focusing on uh chronograph. Tag Warrior being a pioneer of the chronograph, focusing this year on the reintroduction of the of the monocle, which was previously the caliber 11, the iconic crown on the left side. Yeah, having reintroducing it this year in titanium along with two other variations. I think it's a very strong year for them and a new innovation in chronographs with the EverGraft. So all new complications that reduces friction inside the movement, which allows longer service intervals, right? Which is fantastic. I think when it comes to chronograph and innovation, tag foyer, you know, and chronographs they go hand in hand. Okay, so we're here, so let's take a few minutes and let's go check it out. Okay, alright, let's go back. So again, talking about uh tag foyer being a pioneer of the chronograph, right? Here we see all the innovations they've done with the chronograph throughout the years. Talking about the first ever micrograph, which was the first watch to be the timekeeper of an Olympic game in the past, of course, and then we have many vintage Hoyer dials, Monaco Hoyer moving all the way up to the modern iterations of the Monaco chronograph. And here, the very last piece we will have the Tad Hoyer Monaco Evergraph, which is a novelty for this year. Why do we got it? So here we have the exploded view of the Evergraph movement. So as it was so eloquently explained and displayed in our meeting earlier, so normally when you activate the chronograph, you have four points of friction right where inside the chronograph, and with the Evergraph mechanism, which is this piece over here, it reduces from four points of friction all the way down to one. Wow, yeah. So it's a it's a fantastic innovation from Tiger and with a skeletonized dial, but it's so beautifully and so elegantly done that it's still super legible despite it being a skeletonized dial. I actually myself didn't do the visit. I have my appointment tomorrow with Tiger. So you're actually teaching me, so it's perfect. I love it, I love it, beautiful. And obviously, to finish, whoever thinks about Tiger thinks about Formula One, about the whole story about racing. Obviously, in Montreal we have the Le Grand Prix coming up. When is it coming, I guess? May 24 will be the Formula Canadian GP this year. Okay. Yeah, so again having the boutique at Royal Mount Mall in Montreal. We're very excited to have another activation at the boutique and welcome all our guests who are in town for the Formula One. Yeah, I remember last year you had the car from the of the of the boutique, it was very cool. It was it was a lot of fun. Yeah, so yeah, so listen, thank you so much for taking the time to uh to be with us at Tagu here. And uh yeah, make sure you guys go watch dn.com slash monaco, mezzo monaco actually, so you can find all the locations. Listen, Leon, thank you so much. No bra, pleasure. See you later. Alright, so how was your uh day two of uh Geneva Watch and Wonder Show? Day two was amazing. It's uh really I cannot get enough of this show. No matter how many watches I see, I don't get tired of seeing watches. I'm always excited to see, you know, it's like a drug. Yeah, yeah, it definitely is a drug, but also a drug that we're not looking for the solution for. It's a drug we enjoy and we don't want to get rid of. I have a funny say one day I was doing an interview with a CEO of a brand which I wouldn't mention, and when I asked him about uh at the time the conversation was about smart watches, but the whole idea was watches in general, right? And it's like you know, for me a first watch, or that was the conversation about smart watches. The first watch is like my first chocolate. When I open the box, I cannot stop. It's true, you know and those kind of watches, right? Where are we going now? Next, I think we should go to Hublot. Okay. I think we should see what they did this year. Okay. I mean, I had my meeting with them uh earlier on, and I must say I'm very happy with where the brand is going. I mean, of course, we'll have a closer look at the product as well. But I think one thing that Hublot is actively trying to do under the new CEO, Julien Tornard, is I think they're trying to make people understand that we're actually a serious watchmaker. We make we're a watchmaker, we make our we have our own in-house movement with the Unicode, and it's a very good movement. You know, they have five patents on that movement, it's a five-back chronograph. And I think with the new big bang reloaded model they introduced, that's exactly what they want to show. They're watch making know-how. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, Hublot was always known as a loud, flashy brand that you know we see with celebrities and athletes wear. But one thing, what that does is perhaps it took away a little bit from people knowing Kubeau and appreciating Kublow as a watchmaker. Yeah, right, as a serious watchmaker, and I think they're really putting an effort into that. Still making cool collaboration pieces, like we saw, two very cool limited editions this year, one for Usain Bolt and one for uh Kilian Mbappe, and again, uh but still focusing it on that big bang reloaded line. Actually, I'm I'm not sure if you were here, but earlier Usainbolt was actually here. Yeah, so I was there, I took some pictures. In fact, it was very impressive. It's actually very tall. I didn't know, right? I understand where he's the quickest uh man, the fastest man on the world, you know? Yeah, record horror. I actually tried his watch that he created and I took it, they took uh the MFA one. I'm like, oh I send a picture to my son. You know, like you know, and my face is idol. Let's go. Okay, so let's see some product. Sure, surround. I will follow you and then you tell me, you know, a little bit about the product that you send. Yeah, absolutely. Let's have a look. Yeah, let's go. So again, when we're talking about uh the watch making know-how and showcasing that, we we see the highlight of this here is the big bang reloaded. We have it in uh different colors, of course, in the blue ceramic, all black, green ceramic, titanium, magic gold also being a cool alloy that or material, let's say that you will develop, right? And we still see it being used to this day. And we can see how the column wheel is being highlighted at six o'clock on the dial. So, again, really them putting an emphasis on yes, we are a serious watchman here. Yeah, it's beautiful. And this calatin is like always. Oh yeah, absolutely, it's so well done, right? Doesn't take away from the legibility of the dial. No, no. And this this right here is I think these are my favorite pieces of the year, although I'm four and I don't know which one I uh I prefer. But if you look at the Usain Bowl seats in in particular, for the casing, it's a it's a mix of three materials. So we have ceramic, a frosted carbon bezel, and 18 karat rules gold. So that's fantastic. Both limited edition to 200 pieces. That's the Mbate one. That's just for the full strap fans that know about it, like my son. But yeah, no, this is beautiful. And I tried it, it's so comfortable as well. If you pay attention on the casing, right under six o'clock, we see trust yourself, and you saying both, I don't quite remember, but it's uh pretty cool that they that they've added that touch. And you know, when I did the interview, I asked about a mbappe and I was like, trust yourself. And I'm like, okay, is real one is it in English or is it in French? Right? Of course, of course. But no, it's only it's in English. So it's like, oh okay, cool. You know, little facts. It's always good. That's what the story of uh, you know, watches. There's always a story behind a little fact that it's cool to say, you know. We are on Zenith. On Zenit, yes. Did you see them already? I saw them, yes. I had my appointment with them. We didn't see a lot of products, okay? We didn't see a bunch of releases, but we did see some interesting releases for this year. Few releases, but I think good releases. Okay. You know, previously we've seen uh, you know, back in the Bongo world, there's there were trays upon trays upon trays upon trays of novelty. So I think what's really cool this year, for more and more we see, is that fewer releases but more meaningful, important releases, and I think that's what we saw today. You know, I also had a chance to see some of the novelty from LVMH Watch Week. So it's not a public event, but we had a chance to interact with the product today, so I think that was fantastic to see as well. Beautiful. Let's go check it out. Absolutely, let's let it go. Here we have the Chrono Master Sport Skeleton, same case, same bracelet, 41 millimeters. What I really like about this is that it's a smoked skeleton dial, doesn't take away from the legibility of the dial whatsoever. And this year, I'm sure Zenith collectors and enthusiasts will be very, very happy as we see on this side over here our all-new Zen Clasp system, and it's a new patented folding clasp by Zenith, which allows for micro adjustments on the clasp, which was something that was really missing, I find, and many Zenith enthusiasts find on the Chrono Master Sport Clasp. So I'm really glad that they did this this year, introducing it on the Chrono Master Sport Skeleton. So also seeing over here, as I as I mentioned a little earlier, some of the novelties from LBMH Watch Week that we didn't really get to see in person because it wasn't a public event. I mean we saw the different skyline, chronograph, skeleton, 41mm, 42mm. One thing that's really cool with Zenith is that many collectors might not know it, but you can really dress up or down your watch, really make it a give it a scortier or a funky look with all the different strap options. You know, you can have a black ceramic case or a white ceramic case with a neon green strap or a pink strap or a light blue strap, which I think is a really fun way to accessorize your watch. Of all the watches I tried on this year, this next one, my personal favorite one that I tried so far this year, it would be this year's edition of the GFJ. So last year we saw the GFJ in a 38mm platinum case with an all-new movement with a blue lapis dial. And this year we're seeing reiteration of that piece in a green bloodstone dial with a yellow gold casing. Again in 38mm limited to 161 pieces, as it is the 161st year of Zenith. So we see it right over here. And the 160th anniversary GFJ, of course, was the recipient of the GPHG Chronometry Award, which was a very cool win for Zenith, I would say. So really, again, not too many releases from Zenith this year, but I would really say solid releases from Zenith. Alright, Leon. So the show is almost over now. Yes. What was your feedback? What was your impression? I'm very happy with uh with the releases this year for the show, for the show in general, right? I mean, business aside, I myself am an enthusiast, of course. I'm passionate about uh the industry and watches. So I think my general takeaway from the show this year is not too many releases but the right releases. I was planning to say the same. I was actually thinking of my head, I was like, what can I say? And I said sometimes less is better. Yes, but yeah, and that's what I felt. Yeah, yeah, definitely, definitely. Now, that being said, we always get the surprise every year from a brand or two releasing watches on the third, fourth, or fifth day. Yes, right? So may I may have spoken too soon, but we'll see. That's true, that's true. But for me, this is my first Geneva event. As you know, I did like 10 Basel Worlds, obviously completely different, but at the same time somehow similar. But you know what I love is I love that I didn't do a show in Switzerland for the last two, three years and I have the sparkles. Like I was like wow, this is cool, yeah. I love it, yeah, I love it. I don't have a one favorite and I usually don't like to say one brand or another, but overall I was very impressed with you know the different releases, the product, and the people behind us. Absolutely, you know. So and that's also something why I love you know on Watch DNA to focus on the brand, but also work with retailers because in the end of the day you are the front hand and customers are coming to your store to experience the brand, the brand DNA. You know, absolutely. So yeah, so listen, thank you so much for taking the time to discover the brand with us, and hopefully you guys enjoy and make sure watchdna.com slash monaco and Maison Monaco you can discover all your stores. Absolutely. Uh Quebec, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Ottawa as well. Yeah, absolutely. So yeah, with a lot of brands. Absolutely. We're looking forward to bring all these pieces in so like the watch enthusiasts can really have a touch and feel with the product. Yeah, yeah, and so we're here in Geneva obviously watching wonders, but in Montreal there's a lot of events as well going on. You have the Grand Prix very soon, and you have obviously you guys are going to do some exclusive events for your customers. Absolutely. So yeah, I'm very excited for it. Listen, thank you so much. Merci beaucoup, and you guys make sure you follow uh Maison Monaco, uh watching it.com slash Maison Monaco. Thank you. Thank you, merci encore
