Join our host Thomas J. Sandrin as he steps into a very special milestone: RADO's 40th anniversary of Master of Materials. A celebration honoring four decades of vision, craftsmanship, and relentless innovation in the art of watchmaking, where RADO has long stood apart through its mastery of high-tech ceramic. A journey that began with the iconic RADO Integral, a groundbreaking timepiece and the first of its kind from this prestigious Maison.
Hey everyone, we are here at the Rado Integral 40 years anniversary of the high-tech ceramic. So we have a lot of things to show you tonight. You're going to be a party. Very excited to be here with my friend Charles Dass.
SPEAKER_02How are you doing man? I'm doing fantastic. It's a celebration. 40 years of innovation and master of material by Rado. Can I take you back to 1986? I want to show one timepiece here, the Rado Integral. The first time Rado launched the high-tech ceramics with this model actually. So this watch actually changed Rado forever. Really? This is the Rado Integral here. Everything started with this watch, and we know Rado is the master of material. It's thanks to this timepiece here.
SPEAKER_04Excited to see you here. Came all the way to Toronto for the event.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_04What are your thoughts about Rado here celebrating the anniversary?
SPEAKER_03We got a chance to celebrate with them when we were in Neuchâtel, and so we got a sneak peek actually at the Antega at that point. We see it's here this evening, and there are a lot of other beautiful novelties there always is with Rado. So we're always excited to be here. Very cool. Nice to see you.
SPEAKER_01Three things about Rado that you enjoy. I love the fact that Rado has a wonderful heritage. They are very innovative with materials. The use of ceramics is fantastic and gotta love a Captain Cook.
SPEAKER_04Question for you. Two things about Rado. Intentionally designed and precise. I like that. What do you think about Rado?
SPEAKER_00I love Rado. I love that it's unscratchable because I'm very clumsy.
SPEAKER_04I'm here with Ronda. Thank you for staying with us for a few seconds. No problem. How was the evening for you?
SPEAKER_00Oh, it's great. This is a great space. It is a great celebration. 40 years of ceramic and other innovations.
SPEAKER_04Yes, so I have a question for you. So if you see through your career, you work and talk and write about a lot of brands.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_04What do you think people should know about Rado?
SPEAKER_00First of all, they're the masters of materials, ceramic innovation. There's lots of brands they claim to use it, they do a fine job, but nobody has the same range of colors, and they've been kind of doing it. They were there first. They've proven that they know what they're doing.
SPEAKER_02Alright, Kagda, what do you think about the whole celebration? It was an important event for one reason. 40 years of innovation, master of materials, heritage, all combined within the DNA of Prodo, and it was like great to see all the journey, each step dating back to today.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was very inspiring to see the collections, the vintage collections as well. How it started and how it evolved into the designs of today. Yeah, and what is inspired me tonight is to see all my ex-colleagues and people from the industry, retailers as well. That was really the inspiration. So that was very exciting for me as well.
SPEAKER_02Which of the novelties did catch your attention? What model do you think? I would actually choose two of the time pieces. One of them is the latest Captain Cook chronograph, it's always a classic. And also the other one is the Rado Integral that started all this journey.
SPEAKER_04You guys, thanks so much for following us. Hopefully, you enjoyed what you saw and experienced the whole behind the scene as well. And he are celebrating the 40 years anniversary of the high tech remake with Rado here in Toronto. Thank you again.
SPEAKER_03Thank you guys. See you.
