Reach For Him

A short encouragement about how sometimes a good father has to make you endure the pain because it's what you need but remember to reach for Him when it is over because He is already reaching for you to comfort you.
And I'm sitting here um just thinking, reflecting on just this morning, the events of this morning that it takes my son to get his blood drawn. One of the toughest things I ever felt like I had to do, man. Like it's crazy. Um I'm trying to encourage him to be a big boy. I'm trying to encourage my myself to be a man. Don't don't get too emotional about this. It's alright. And I had to hold him down while he went through that pain. And I felt like I was betraying him. Because I held him down. Forcing him to endure hurt. But after the hurt was over and he was bandaged up, it was the first hand he wanted to get a hold of. And so, you know, the child of God in me. And that I am. And sometimes when you are hurt, he you he knows that that's what you need at the time. And so he he holds you and he makes you endure the hurt. But it doesn't mean he loves you any less. And it doesn't mean that he was unwilling to endure the worst hurt for you on your behalf. But just like those times when I've had to endure the hurt and the pain, the first hand that I reach for is his. And it's always there, and it's always comforting. And it's always reassuring. So in this moment, you might be hurting, and you might feel like ask God, like, why are you forcing me to go through this thing? Just know it's for your good. And that is even after the pain leaves, make sure his hand is the first one you reach for.
