SPEAKER_00

Hey everybody. Uh hey, we are here. My name is Caleb Howard, and we got the amazing Jalen Simmons today. You guys are listening to the Butt50 podcast. Uh brand new coming at you. And please, everybody, man, we love your suggestions. This is a podcast about strictly sports. It's about food. It's about relationships. But again, sports firsthand at the beginning. Hey, let's do it.

SPEAKER_01

Let's go.

SPEAKER_00

Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. All right. So today we are going to talk about on June 2nd, a day before the NBA finals podcast, we are going to talk about the worst performance that we've ever seen.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my God.

SPEAKER_00

From a man. It was supposedly supposed to get paid $240 million. And in the next podcast, I had um, well, in the podcast before this, I did talk about how I would have got up off his ass, man. I would have sent him. I would have sent him. You're referring to Chad.

SPEAKER_01

I am referring to Chad. We didn't even say his name. I'm referring to Bro, I told you, man, takes two shots in game seven. He's supposed to be the second option. Play 32 minutes. 32 minutes. 32 minutes, you take two shots as the second option.

SPEAKER_00

Two shots, make one.

SPEAKER_01

And four rebounds. And that whole situation, man, I can't, like, Shay held his own. Shea held his own. Shea did his. He was going for a 40 ball. So 35 points. 35 finish with 35 points.

SPEAKER_00

42 minutes, played the whole game, played strong. Even though that flopping shit, he really has to get down because I don't like, I don't think that's gonna do leg, that's gonna do justice to his legacy. Because he can actually play rough. You know, he does, he has a two-point game, he can actually shoot the ball, he can actually get those AM1s. I just think in his mind in this series, it kind of seems like seems like the outside, like the outside media did get to him a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, a little bit. And then also he just didn't have the the necessary help. I know Jerry McCain had a couple good games. Caruso, great game one. Yeah. Um, he had he had help from spurks of people, but nothing, no consistent second option. Yeah. Um, usually it's Jalen Williams. This series, it needed to be Chet, and he just didn't show up. Like he had a couple games where he had double doubles, but I've realized when I was watching, he was only he was really scoring the majority of his points when Wimby was sitting on a bench.

SPEAKER_00

And I also love the fact that the direction the NBA is going right now with the um different types of bigs. Now I know it's been happening for a minute, but we didn't really see the true effect of the new style of big until this year in the in the entire playoffs because Evan Mobley was given given numbers, man. Oh my goodness. And usually you're looking at hybrids like an Evan Mobley, like a Chad. You're trying to find those hybrids very similar to Wimby, or um, I don't know anybody on top of head right now, but those type of hybrids you're looking for. Even you can even call AJ might even come out and be one of those hybrids, the number one pick.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, about six, nine.

SPEAKER_00

They are changing the direction of how your team is playing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

They can still play defense because no big is really down there banging paws, but no big is really down there banging, you know, physical one after the other. But if you can have somebody who's physical, like let's say you got Robert Williams and an Evan Mowgli, or you got again like Jared Allen and Evan Mowgli, or you got Chet and you add another piece to it, even though I'm getting the fuck up off of Chet. But in general, man, like the people who can spread the floor and be a hybrid, I mean, it it's incredible how you can do it. And again, we don't we're gonna talk about the Knicks a little bit later, but I love how they're trying to adapt Carr Anthony Towns into that position as well.

SPEAKER_01

And he's he's been playing great, man. He's not putting out ridiculous numbers, but just his versatility that he's bringing, his assist went up. Yeah, um, he's rebounding really well right now, he's hitting a three-ball. Um, he's just very consistent and solid. And it's like the Knicks are really performing so great, and they've been having so much rest in between that we kind of get lost at like how good can they be or how good they really are. Because they've been dog watching these niggas, man. Man, they've been resting. For real, bro.

SPEAKER_00

And it's been like they've been resting. I mean, they've been averaging like something like 130 points a game. It's been insane. It's like they never cooled off.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, 10 game winning streak. My goodness, 11 game, my biggest. It turns out 11-game winning streak.

SPEAKER_00

Did the Hawks play them the best?

SPEAKER_01

I think so.

SPEAKER_00

Is this is this crazy? Did the Hawks actually play them the best because they won two games? No other team, ever the team was getting told about. The Hawks probably played them the best. This is absolutely insane. But let's stay on game seven, man. Game seven was incredible. Now, I know Wemby got a little bit of pushback for showing that emotion, but I feel like the emotion is what is what this new generation needs to bring that shit back because these niggas is getting way too soft, bro.

SPEAKER_01

Way too soft, the rats was calling text if they yelled. I didn't like it. I love to see that emotion. Even the even when uh Vassell blocked Chuck one time, got in his face, talked to his stuff. And talked to his stuff.

SPEAKER_00

And even when Cormet, even he Cormet lost the the possession to Isaiah Hartstein came down and made that one play. Yeah. It was like, nigga, bro, let's go, bro. I'm being goosey, bro. Just on just looking back at you.

SPEAKER_01

I love it. I love that type of energy, that dog. It's so good for the game. We need that back again.

SPEAKER_00

It's so good for the game, man. And I'm I'm I'm packaging Chet and I'm packaging Ludore. With all the youngs and the and the and the defense and the and the different skills that are out there, I'm packaging those two, and I'm going to go get somebody who can even who I would even, I would trade for Evan.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Trade for Evan Mobile.

SPEAKER_01

Do that. I think they can mess around and figure out a way to get Giannis. I think so. They got enough draft picks. Uh no, no, to uh to OKC. Giannis to OKC. What? They have enough they have multiple draft picks in the first round. They got Chet, they got they got all these pieces that they can give away. You would want to see Giannis in OKC. I feel like if I see after seeing what I just saw, that's a disgusting. That is a disgusting show that he's a legit third option.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he can't be. Chad might be a fourth option.

SPEAKER_01

The way that series went.

SPEAKER_00

Chat might be a fourth option. I don't understand why everybody dived into Chad so quickly. I understand he was a big prospect coming out. I mean, I do understand actually the objects around him, man. He came out pretty well and everything. He was a big deal. Great regular season. But it's it's just like, boy, he got scared. That brother saw fear.

SPEAKER_01

Man.

SPEAKER_00

He saw fear. When he got ducked on in the first quarter, it was like, I don't, I don't need this ball anymore, brother.

SPEAKER_01

Like, man, I understand. If I'm Chad, I'm getting blocked 10, 15 times, bro. I'm not going out with two shots. I'm fighting somebody. I'm not going out with two shots. That's it. I'm not going out with two shots. I'm going out. If I shoot two for 20, so be it.

SPEAKER_00

And passing up threes and then how you gonna pass up threes if that's what you do? If you either get down low or you're gonna extend the floor. And passing up threes, you don't even got to see Wimby down there, but he still wasn't even shooting that shot. After Wimby was brought, Wimby was a ghost to him. Wimby was sitting on the side.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And this nigga was still thinking about him, bro. Yeah, it was a good thing. It was, oh my goodness, it was awful. The performance was awful. I I already told Jack. And still credit to the Spurs.

SPEAKER_01

They played phenomenal. They had their injuries. Exactly. Um Dylan was out a game or two. Uh Fox was out a game or two. So like they said it was definitely injuries on both sides, but to see.

SPEAKER_00

I just wouldn't be surprised, man, if I don't know. In this direct in the this direction, you have OKC and you have the Spurs, right? You got the two Giants. I don't see OKC being able to beat them if they go back with this team. I think OKC needs to blow it up a little bit. And I'm not talking, let me not use the word blow it up. I think OKC needs to cut off a little bit of the fat. I would move Lou Dort. I would move Chet. I would bring up people like Ajay, bring up people like Jeremy Kane. Go get some young bigs that can really because Isaiah Arstein was great for the team. He was great for the team. But he might leave too.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, honestly, I see where they can be able to utilize more of the weapons that they have by getting rid of Dort, like you said, Dort. Chet showed that he couldn't be a second option. So probably see if you can get a piece for him. But overall, if they had AJ Mitchell and Jalen Williams, I think they would have won this in six. Really? I think so. No discredit from the Spurs.

SPEAKER_00

But it doesn't matter though. We can't say the same thing because if they would have had Deer and Fox and Healthy from the beginning, I still think that would have swung back the other way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think that would have swung back the other way. Yeah, so that's the way that the other thing is. Because Dean Fox is playing like a maniac.

SPEAKER_01

OKC is gonna have to make some tweaks for sure.

SPEAKER_00

I think they're gonna have to make some tweaks. I think you go out and you get a really good handles defensive point guard. Yeah, and people don't understand. Like the homeboy from Miami, uh, Davion Mitchell.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Go go get him, man. Because there's too much pressure on Chet when he has the ball. Teams are just gonna front load the court and they understand they was giving him fits. The entire series, like real fits. Like this nigga was really struggling from the field, from the field. And you go out there and you keep on doing that, and Chet ain't coming up, Jared McCain has to come off the bench, then um what's it called, Williams has to have a good game, but Williams has been down and out. It's not making sense.

SPEAKER_01

And it's and it's always strange for me when I like see teams that win a championship and then they have these moments because it's like usually when you're a champion, usually when you know you're the team, you kind of have that mental edge of like, oh, I got this. Yeah. And I didn't see that from OKC. Like, if I was just watching that game and didn't know anything about last year, I think. It looked like the Spurs know it were the reigning championship. It did. I wouldn't know who won a championship if I just watched that game.

SPEAKER_00

Transferring to the Spurs, man. My goodness. Um so we're we're gonna we're gonna let's put a bowl let's put a ball on OKC. OKC, man. Obviously, you guys are such an incredible team, but you guys are most hated, obviously, because that flopping shit was one and it was disgusting, and the crazy fouls were disgusting, but that doesn't take away the talent and the coaching and you know the chemistry that you guys have. You guys are gonna be here, we're gonna be talking about you guys for the next 10 for the next decade because the way the team is orchestrated, it's beautiful. But I do think y'all need to get the fuck up off of chat. Get let let let Jalen Williams come up. Go get yourself a dog, go get yourself some real dogs so that Che doesn't have to, you know, SGA doesn't have to carry the whole team. I'm I'm falling in love with the Spurs, man. Same the way that they're playing, you just got a dog at every position, even their bench, man. I'm talking about they really are like that on defense. I think I love the fact that they play defense even when they're shooting cold, they are still on you, bro, and it's crazy. It's very similar to the Knicks.

SPEAKER_01

And it's it's it's scary because they're so young. Like if you're like Dylan Harper's a rookie.

unknown

Woo!

SPEAKER_01

Hey, Castle's castle's second.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna say this right now, guys. Dylan Harper might be the second best player on that team.

SPEAKER_01

Nah. Nah. He might be the second best player on that team. It's crazy because he's he's in that conversation. He might be the second best player on that team. He's in that conversation. Really think about it. But you still gotta go Fox and Castle.

SPEAKER_00

I I know, I know who was on that squad. I think Dylan Harper is the second best player on that team. They all do something a little different. They all do something a little bit different. But when Dylan's playing, yeah. Off the bench too. Nobody can touch that player. When Dylan's playing and he and he realizes who he is, nobody can touch that team. Yeah. I mean, he giving niggas fish. And I'm talking about he's pulling up for three. He's an assist game. I mean, dogging niggas walking him down, giving him easy layup package. Because ISO package. Everybody who everybody who knows ball knows that Dylan's layup package is crazy. It's been like that ever since.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Carson Walk, Casey Waller. I'm talking about Cindy. Like those are top defenders that he's coming at. And ISO.

SPEAKER_00

Castle's not ISO on people. De'Aaron Fox may be here and there, but you know he's gonna pull up for Middle Ec. Dylan? Big bing bing done.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Man, just to have those three guards in attack mode.

SPEAKER_00

To have three of those guards, two of them, oh I mean, Fox is young too. Yeah. Relatively, he's young too.

SPEAKER_01

Uh champagne.

SPEAKER_00

Champagne, man. Who was who was got cut? He got cut from, I forgot who he got cut from.

SPEAKER_01

He got cut from.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I want to say, was it was it the Clippers? Um, we'll we'll fact check that later, but um, he got cut and then came back, thought his season was in, then came back and is a dog. His twin, are they twins or are they brothers? His brothers playing that's watching.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, his brothers were both. Straight shooter, and uh fact is he is one of two other players, one of three now, that hit six threes in a game seven. Really? The other two, Steph and Clay. Jeez Louise, man. So to be able to have that much shooting in in that rotation along with Fox, along with Castle, along with Harper, like that's man.

SPEAKER_00

He's giving you good, he's giving you good minutes, man. He's averaging 18 minutes, 11 points a game, five rebounds, and two assists. Him and Vassell. Oh, Vassell, man. Stretching the floor. Vassel, man. Vassell is just a dog. A lot of, I thought Vassell Fasel was the unsung hero of the last of the last series against OKC. He was on SGA the entire time.

SPEAKER_01

Defensive end.

SPEAKER_00

The entire time, defensive end, man. Running around. And shoot even go against all that foul baiting.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Look at us talking about OKC again. But going against that foul baited and stuff, man. I mean, the entire time. It was just everybody on that team plays defense, man. Even coming all the way down to Kelden Johnson. Kelden Johnson, I mean, just being a dog, bro. Coming in there and straight buckets, but straight defense. You got Dylan Harper, you got Castle, you got Fox, then you got Champagne, and then you got, man, you got that dog, bro.

SPEAKER_01

They they load it.

SPEAKER_00

You got that dog.

SPEAKER_01

So that man, bro. So what do you see them doing with against the Knicks coming up?

SPEAKER_00

See, this, I think this this first game is going to tell a lot about everything because I don't know if the Knicks are gonna play passive just because it's in San Antonio or if they're gonna try to go steal one. Now, if they go try to go steal one, I need to understand what type of offense they are going to run. Because the Knicks just implemented this new offense that at first I thought it was the craziest shit I've ever seen. Why is Carl Anthony Towns your point guard? But it works.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna work great.

SPEAKER_00

It worked, it worked fantastic against the case.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna work great against the Spurs because it's gonna make Wimby come out.

SPEAKER_00

You're kind of using Kat. Yeah, you're kind of using Kat as a Draymond Green.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and Kat's good enough of a shooter to make sure Wimby's out enough.

SPEAKER_00

Make sure he comes out because remember, Kat can shoot the three. And it's kind of like, is this the position that Kat really needed the entire time? Because no matter how much he flares his arms and does all this crazy shit, he's not that, you know, he's not that tough. Yeah. But he's smart. He's smart and he's smooth. And being smart and smooth, you can play that position and you can still go down to the paint. You just don't got a beat on there.

SPEAKER_01

I think him, cat at that center position is gonna help all the other players so much. Yeah. Because he can extend that floor and it'll help Brunson get a little more room with the room to get to that basket.

SPEAKER_00

And I think Brunson, I actually think Brunson scores better when more efficiently when he's not always having the ball in his hands. I think he's he's a lot better when he comes down there and gets gets his setup, and then kind of like a Steph Curry, gets the ball in his hands and then decide what he wants to take, where he wants to take people at. So going down there, having you know, Cat pass the ball most of the times, or even you know, uh the other homeboy who can't really shoot, uh Josh Hart having the ball most of the times and really facilitating people, that offense works for them.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I feel like it really works for them. And this is gonna be a tougher series than people think. Yeah, it is. If they shoot, if the Knicks are shooting like they did that last series against the Cavs, with Josh Hart hitting threes, would you leave them open? Sham it. Are you gonna leave Josh Hart open? I'm not a fan of that type of defense. I'm not a fan of it, but I would I would say don't leave them completely open. I'd I think maybe like a quick handout because the Cavs were just completely letting him off. And you saw what happened though, they already tried to do that kind of defense with Caruso.

SPEAKER_00

And Caruso He'll hit a couple Caruso dropped. Caruso did a couple games here. Caruso was like the number one player, bro. It was kind of crazy. And Caruso's a very similar type of player, the same way Josh Hart is. So I don't, I it really, I don't know. Their coach is so is so brilliant, and he's been here before with another team. I think he was with Golden State or was he with LeBron? Mike Brown. Yeah, Mike Brown. Um, but I'm it really depends on how they want to come out here and and see these fits, and if they want to be extremely aggressive in San Antonio first and try to sell a game. And if that's the case, it's gonna be huge because if you I think the key tonight, if I'm the Knicks, I want Wimby to play longer than 30 minutes. I want Wimby to be on that floor the entire time. And if you can get that, then Wimby comes at a disadvantage because it's a long series. He was winded. There were some games in where he was going against OKC and Wimby was he was well. He had no legs under him, and it's the physicality and everything. So if you can get Wimby to be to be tired and you can get Castle to foul and and to really um foul and have a lot of turnovers early, I do think there is a recipe to where you can keep this thing very close.

SPEAKER_01

And uh Mitchell Robertson, you know, he just broke his finger.

SPEAKER_00

He broke his finger, but I mean, wrap that bitch up. Yeah, he's just got surgery.

SPEAKER_01

He said he's wrapping it up.

SPEAKER_00

Nobody's worrying about that nigga shooting anyways.

SPEAKER_01

Like you said to what you were saying, like just to wear Wimby out. He's gonna come in, he's not even thinking about shooting. He's gonna come in and just that's how put your body on him the whole time the entire time.

SPEAKER_00

And again, that goes back to the the evolution of these bigs, man. Evolution of these bigs because you have Kat who's already in a new position now, but the evolution of how they're playing him and everything, while you have Mitchell Robinson at the on the floor at the same time. So then you can have a body on him and you can still have the stretch out and still have two two bigs. I mean, it's the game right now is evolving, but I think it's evolving in a good way to where we're not being as soft. And I think that's why everybody, a global scale, got very upset when they saw how much OKC was flopping and how how physical the Spurs came to play, how physical the Knicks are coming to play. Like those are the beauty, and I think the two right teams, the basketball gods, gave us a present here.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because the two right teams are deserving for these NBA finals. It's gonna be one hell of a game, bro. Yeah, it's gonna be one hell of a game. I think the factors in this game are I mean, on one side, I got OG and Anobi. As the X factor and I got Mikhail Bridges as the X factor for the Knicks. On the other side, it's Dylan Harper, and it's gonna be, I think it's Dylan Harper, and I think it's uh Vassell.

SPEAKER_01

I can see that. I think my X factors for uh for the Knicks is gonna be. I think Shaman's gonna be one of them. So Shaman. Woo! I think Landry Shaman. Forget about him, man.

SPEAKER_00

I think Shamit and Shammitt, those past two games, he went crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Shaman and OG. Shaman and OG. And then for the for the Spurs. Shamit played good defense too. And then for the Spurs, I got Dylan, and I think it's gonna be uh Vassel. Can he hold his own against the game?

SPEAKER_00

And Dylan and Vasselle are playing well. The entire team is playing well. Yeah, I think the entire team is working on a different level.

SPEAKER_01

If Vassell can hold his own against Bridges, and I I think they'll probably play OG, uh put him on OG a little bit. Yeah. Whoever wins those that matchup, I think.

SPEAKER_00

I like Vassell on OG better than Vassel on Bridges. I I wouldn't even know. Honestly, the way Vassel played SGA, I'll put him on Brunson. Let him go. Let him go. Put him on Brunson.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Why not? And put Castle on OG. Castle big. Put Castle on O, because OG doesn't move a lot. He just be shooting.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So put Castle on OG, put Vassel on SGA.

SPEAKER_01

This is gonna be very good. Yeah, it's gonna be incredible. For me, I think I'm gonna go Spurs and six. Spurs and six. I think I got Spurs and six.

SPEAKER_00

Spurs and six would mean the Spurs will be closing it out in New York. And you think the Spurs are gonna close it out in New York? I think Wimby's gonna put on a show New York.

SPEAKER_01

I think he's gonna put on a show that last game. Game six, Wimby's gonna go for a 40.

SPEAKER_00

Is it wrong for me to pick that same reaction?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I know it is, but I'm going for 40 ball game six Wimby to end it. 40.

SPEAKER_00

I can see 40 ball game six Wimby, but I can see Jalen Brunson coming back with a 50 piece. Yeah. And then he's losing the game.

SPEAKER_01

I can still I can still lose in the game. I can still Brunson going for I can see Brunson with a 50 piece. I wouldn't be surprised if he dropped 50 one of these games.

SPEAKER_00

Game six? Nah, I I I gotta I gotta go Spurs seven. Spurs and seven. Just because game six, man, New York has had too much pride. I mean, New York right now is at an all time. We haven't seen these fans act like this. This is Gotham City, bro. Oh my gosh. This is for real, bro. You got every star, every inch, every celebrity.

SPEAKER_01

It's the finals. Every celebrity is gonna be out there.

SPEAKER_00

In New York, it's coming out, bro. I mean, like, these niggas is going crazy, bro. You got people hanging off the streets. You got Armageddon in the streets, bro. You got the cops. It's looking like Batman, bro. It's looking, it's for real. Like that.

SPEAKER_01

It's getting crazy.

SPEAKER_00

So I think though, I gotta give, I gotta got Spurs in seven. Spurs at seven, doing it in front of Tim Duncan, doing it in front of Pop, doing it in front of D-Robb, doing it in front of the whole Spurs, bringing it back home. When be hung at everybody, holding up the damn thing, kissing it like LeBron, bro. No, kissing it like Michael Jordan when he did the whole head thing. You know what I'm saying? I see. That's what I got. I got Spurs, I got Spurs in seven, bringing it back home.

SPEAKER_01

I can see that. I respect that.

SPEAKER_00

Because I New York is a special place, bro.

SPEAKER_01

If New York wins the finals, too, like I would I wouldn't be mad, but at the same time, they are gonna lose. They're gonna like hold that over for until the next finals. They are gonna talk so much shit. Yeah. I second that.

SPEAKER_00

They will not care about anything. I second that. And I would I mean when New York is good, NBA is good. It's one of those teams to where like it's these teams, if if they're doing well, like the Lakers, if they're doing well, or if New York is doing well, NBA is just more fun to watch.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

In general. One of the one of the hubs.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and yeah, it's gonna be an amazing series. Yeah. And I'm excited to see it.

SPEAKER_00

I'm excited, man. Oh my goodness. And we will be um we will be recording and um staying on on top of this, guys. In general, please comment, like, and subscribe. Can't tell you guys how to do that as much as possible. Ask us any questions. Um, so let's move on. Okay, now that we're done with the NBA, man. Um man, this weekend, this week has been crazy, absolutely nuts with the NFL.

SPEAKER_01

Man.

SPEAKER_00

And the NFL, man, is something, you know, we're about to transition to football, man, and the NFL world's about to get crazy, college is about to get crazy, man. Bitches are gonna be out there and shit. It's gonna be fucking nuts, like for real. Um we just witnessed one of the most blockbuster trades, probably in the history of the NFL.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And it's very similar to Shohei Otani going to the Dodgers, very similar to Luca Donciz getting traded to Los Angeles uh Lakers. Miles Garrett getting traded to Los Angeles Rams for three draft picks in Jared Verse.

SPEAKER_01

They're the favorites that win the Super Bowl. Oh, yeah. Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_00

It's definitely Super Bowl.

SPEAKER_01

They're they're there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. They're there. They have no excuse. Devontae Adams, you got freaking Cooper Cup. No, not Cooper Cup, sorry about that. Puka Nakua.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Devontae Adams, number one in touchdowns last season. Puka Nakua, probably gonna be the highest paid wide receiver, just a complete dog on the field. You got Matthew Stafford, the former MVP last year. You got the defensive player MVP, and then you got the whole defense that is stout. From the defensive tackles to Kobe Turner, Braden Fist, all the way to defensive ends, man. You got Miles Garrett. And guess what? Aaron Darnold might come back.

SPEAKER_01

Health is the only thing that can stop him.

SPEAKER_00

Aaron Darnold might come back. If you have Aaron Donald. And Miles Garrett on the team, it's cheating. Them niggas cheating. It's game over. Oh my goodness, it's incredible. And then the money coming in LA, let alone with USC playing. You got the Lakers playing, you got the Dodgers playing. You know how many people are gonna be showing up to LA games?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Bro, it's gonna be Hollywood every fucking weekend, bro. Elite elite teams. My goodness. It's Super Bowl bust.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And that's what I really love about that organization because they don't worry about draft picks or what's gonna happen in the future. They're like, what's happening right now?

SPEAKER_01

How can we win right now?

SPEAKER_00

How can we win right now? And it's such a do-or-die, incredible, incredible way of building a team.

SPEAKER_01

I really don't see besides Seattle Seahawks, yeah, maybe run that back. Yeah. But I don't see another team that's really on that level of complete, could really competing with them at like head to head. They've had as far as talent.

SPEAKER_00

They've literally had one of the best offseasons, bringing bringing both their corners because they had bad corners last year, but now they're bringing in Tripp McDuffie and Jalen Watson, both from Kansas City, both um all pro, just incredible, incredible players. And then you add Miles Garrett, and then Miles Garrett is very he's positionless, honestly. He can play the two-technique, the three-technique, he can play the shade, he can play the five, he can also move him out to the nine or the nine shade. So, in general, this man coming there just changes the entire defense. It just orchestrated that your system is now him.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's now him. And you're your linebackers, and then you you've already bolstered the back end to it. I mean, these people ready to, they're they're ready to hunt. They're really ready to hold it.

SPEAKER_01

Offensively, they were already set last year. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And the Seahawks, I mean, they're just incredible. And they're young as well. And they didn't really lose anybody in the offseason. Yeah. So, I mean, this NFL, man, this season is just gonna be insane. Find me in LA, bro, because I'm definitely going back to LA, man. I gotta go there a couple times. The whole city is just gonna be turned.

SPEAKER_01

This is gonna be this is gonna be a great NFL year. And it's like looking at all these teams, they all have a chance if they catch the right momentum. But as far as talent-wise, yeah, LA.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, LA is gonna be insane. Um, AJ Brown finally is off the Eagles. He's on the Patriots now. Bad blood between Jalen Hurts, uh, didn't go to their wedding or whatever. Like, just niggas just falling out in general. I believe, man, if you're a quarterback and you're on the football team no matter what, if you're a stable quarterback and you're a leader amongst men, then you just gotta figure it out. I believe that it does become a little bit more rotten when the wide receiver, while they're still winning, is still complaining about the situation at foot. This was even when they were winning a Super Bowl. So I think that no matter what, it doesn't matter, the quarterback position will always be bigger than the wide receiver position. It doesn't mean AJ Brown was wrong or right in general, but also I just think they needed to separate. I think this would be good for both of them, and both of them can go ball out and do what they need to do.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like we're at a state stage two now where the playing fields of talent for the most part are so close. Yeah, it's gonna come down to chemistry. Yeah, thinking in basketball tape. And basketball, and football, whatever it is. Like that chemistry is the underlying in a lot of these situations right now.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man, love that take. It is geez, man. Yeah, chemistry is is huge right now. Even in college football, a lot of people going crazy about the NIL. We'll we'll have an episode about this later, but chemistry right now with between the coaches are one of the huge, is one of the things that keep these teams together.

SPEAKER_01

I heard Indiana were saying with Kirk Signetti. They were saying Indiana only had a couple, three stars, maybe uh maybe one or two, four stars. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

But like you couldn't tell. Yeah. Indiana, I mean, Indiana is is is projecting to be one of the best, the best organizations in the next couple years in general because of Kirk Signetti and the relationships that he has with his teams. Um, let's wrap it up, man. Um, so Atlanta, man, it is the summer. We talked about the summer in the last episode. We have FIFA coming to the streets of Atlanta, man. What are you doing during this time, during FIFA?

SPEAKER_01

Man, I might mess around and get out of here. Yo, I feel like, man, so what they I saw some report. Yeah, it's gonna be crazy. Man, the ridiculous amount of people traffic is about to be ridiculous. Yeah, it's gonna be entertaining, it's gonna be fun, it's gonna be a great experience. New people coming in, new cultures. Um, so if I did stay, you know, uh might trying to step out, see if I can catch a game. I know tickets are gonna be ridiculous. Yeah, tickets are gonna be. But I feel like but I feel like uh we're due. I mean, Atlanta's doomed to have moments like this. Yeah. They're honestly still building. Yeah. So they're not ready.

SPEAKER_00

They're not ready, but we're about to see how not ready we are. I feel like people are already here, which is insane because I know it starts next week. June 15th. June 15th. Um, man, my opinion is look, man, when we won the Braves, when we won, when Braves won the World Championship, there was the streets were in insane. And like we've never experienced something like that before, ever. So my my thing is, I gotta get out there for all these games. Not even all of them, but you know, most of the games, going spirits hit for the first time. You just gotta go to the right spot. I'm not going to no Pima, none of that shit, because niggas be getting stabbed. Man, it's just too many. It's just fucking nice. Too many people. It takes three hours just to get back to the creek. Parking's probably gonna be insane just to get a park over there. Exactly. Just but I definitely want to get out there and get the experience of the game.

SPEAKER_01

It may just be one of those moments where I'll just Uber uh during that whole week. Yep, yeah. Uh, if I do actually want to go out, but yeah, I wouldn't deal with the traffic, I wouldn't deal with the parking. Yeah, man, it's gonna it's gonna be fun though.

SPEAKER_00

It's gonna be absolutely insane for Atlanta. It's gonna be good for the streets and everything, and then it's gonna be good for uh, you know, Atlanta coming up and and everything that's that's happening right now. Uh, thank you guys so much for joining us, man. We appreciate you guys listening to this throughout the entirety of the situation.
