Show Notes Chapter Markers

Renessa and Jonah were together in New York for this week’s entire episode, so the kiki gets extra fun! Intro topics cover some Qmmunity updates, a Bisexual Break rant about the Twitter comments on the first out bisexual in the Miss USA pageant, Rachel Slawson, and Jonah’s nightmare experience at a “luxury escapism” Instagram scam.

This week’s guest is artist Tyler Wallach, whose bright, bold street art style spans canvas, clothing, and pieces to benefit organizations like The Trevor Project, The Tyler Clementi Foundation, The Miami-Dade LGBTQ Business Association, Harrisburg PA LGBT Center, VOICES4, Callen Lorde, Habitat for Humanity NYC, and RED. We had a gay old time in his Brooklyn studio, got to see some new pieces he’s working on, and heard more about his background in musical theatre, transitioning to visual art, merchandising his art, and selling his talent to collaborate with brands like Samsung and Saks Fifth Avenue. We discussed topics like taking yourself seriously, talking money, and wearing the label “queer artist” with pride.

We talk for a while, so deal with it, love it, live it.
