It is written. Say thanks be to God. Are you happy?
SPEAKER_01You know after we come to North America. Dates are written different.
SPEAKER_02Remember today is Father's Day in Brazil.
SPEAKER_01So do those who keep the Brazilian calendar, Happy Father's Day. I am so lost on holidays between here and there. Sometimes I have a word of God for you. It doesn't just happen by the tools of the things that act in service of you. But by the genuine hunger you have for him. The word was always tell my people to come to me. And Baraktah. Also of David. David here is just a name in the middle. And Samuel. And the prophets. You're gonna say, uh, thank you guys so much, and people out back. Y'all are great. I can't say every name. It's almost like that. Thank you, Gideon, Jeff Sanson, Samson, Hey David. Oh, King David, he was cool too. Everyone else. They overcame by faith. And every story here is that one guy. Maybe you've seen movies of scholar school. But you like actually know the story. The book starts like this. That's what the Bible is talking about. Well, first they were becoming apostate. What does apostate mean? To be distant. And since they were abandoning the Lord becoming apostate, they suffered the synchronicity. So to have my idea, just for you to catch this. By morning, they would try and speak to God at night, but at night they would celebrate the demons of Dagon in the temple of Dagon. What is that? What characteristic is this? What's the characteristic? How do we tell? They look around and anything and everything is God. Whatever spirituality, it becomes immediately God. Because now they have mingled with everything. That's where Israel was at the time. So God found among them and one. So God looks at them and says, And says, I wish to bring light. And he raises up one of the most important ones. Now the angel of the word goes to Manoah's wife and says, And says you never had kids.
SPEAKER_02Well now you're gonna have one.
SPEAKER_00It wasn't just the telling of a miracle.
SPEAKER_01It was a vow from the Lord. And if there's one thing the Lord values is his word. If you're going to hardship in your life, make a vow unto the Lord and then fulfill it. And see what happens. Because he's not a man that he should be mistaken. His word does not return empty. And he prospers in everything that he does. And the one who begins a good work in you is faithful to finish. That's his character. He looks at her and says, I'm bringing light to Israel. You're gonna have a son. Little light. And I make you a promise. A covenant of holiness upon him. It was supposed to be just either a month or a year. This is great. Meaning from birth till death.
SPEAKER_00And then she tells her husband. And this would happen exactly how you said.
SPEAKER_02The Bible says that the Spirit of the Lord moves in him. And pushes him.
SPEAKER_01And he starts doing supernatural things.
SPEAKER_00But there's one thing you notice about him.
SPEAKER_01So that's why he grows up favored by the people.
SPEAKER_00The Bible says that he marries a Philistine, which is against his family and against God. Then finally we get to Delilah.
SPEAKER_01Who was being paid to find out what was the source of his strength? The Bible says Judges 16. Verse 20. And she said to Samson, the Philistines are upon you, Samson. So he awoke from his sleep. Look how interesting. He never says, The Lord will be with me. The strength of God.
SPEAKER_00And I will escape like a man. Like I always do.
SPEAKER_01And he couldn't tell. That the Lord had already departed from him. Different from what most people think. He wasn't physically turned strong. What do you mean, Pastor? God does not share his glory with visual selling things that attribute strength to men. With muscles of men, if you guys used to hear, please listen. He was regular looking expression visual. And had no highlighted features. This is why the Philistines were so scared. Because it logically made no sense that someone who looks like that was doing this. They didn't worry about him. Leave him there, we'll kill him tomorrow.
SPEAKER_00The Bible says that at midnight he ripped the castle gates off.
SPEAKER_01With the columns. And I'll get up and go. But the spirit of the Lord. The Lord Himself. Speaking in the name of God. And when things go well, they might even thank God.
SPEAKER_02And the Lord is just not involved at all.
SPEAKER_01He's literally not even there. I'll free myself like last time, that's what I always do. And the Lord was no longer with him. The Bible says. Shaved his head. And put him to push a grinder meant for animals. Here's the first word over this house right now. Check this out. I'm talking about us. We take the sacred for granted. That we start to forget who the sources. And we forget. And we get in this autopilot that the Lord does not participate in. And you do this to yourself. Myself. In your silence, there's a whole thing, there's a cool journey that perdeu the legitimate that stopped being real. But since you were able to sell the image, you got that same attitude, I'll free myself like last time. And you can't.
SPEAKER_02I remember a long time ago.
SPEAKER_01You had a generous heart. The way you used to move.
SPEAKER_02I remember hearing of you.
SPEAKER_01But now look at you. An animal pushing a trough. Same honor. And insulted. Silenced. Because you know your distant. Despite your best efforts to look like you're fine, you're well aware of the gap. Thankfully, he never breaks a promise. Thankfully, he keeps his word. Thankfully, he doesn't back down. Silently. Quietly, every day. Millimeter. Millimeter by millimeter. Samson's hair begins to grow.
SPEAKER_02He forgot, but the Lord didn't. He messed up, but the Lord never forgot the promise in the beginning.
SPEAKER_01He sees you based on the origin. Millimetro, millimetro. Little by little. Every day a little something.
SPEAKER_02The anointing.
SPEAKER_01The covenant. The promise. Grows. Being holy unto the Lord. Involved three things. Number one beverage bebida for He could never have strong drink. Number two, he can never touch dead things. And number three, he will never cut his hair. It could have been temporary. But the command for Samson was forever. Now when you think strong drink, you picture a literal high alcohol beverage.
SPEAKER_02That's the first understanding. Let's go deeper.
SPEAKER_01Let's say you have a got a walk by the car. You live far. And you can say long road ahead. And then someone rolls up in a car. They stop next to you.
SPEAKER_02Let's say somebody you know, a friend, a family member.
SPEAKER_00And they say, hop in, I can take you home.
SPEAKER_01But then you look at him, and you can see that they are drunk.
SPEAKER_02Would you let them drive you?
SPEAKER_01Honestly. Honestly? Why?
SPEAKER_02Everyone under the effect of a heavy drink is marked by this one common thing.
SPEAKER_01What is it? Irresponsibility. Irresponsibility. God does not collaborate with the irresponsible. Now it's well put. If you look at your house, or with your job, or with your calling. The Lord's not working with you. You can forget it. It's about that responsibility. Responsibility. But the word says passes. And the hair on his head grows back. In the moment that it was shaved.
SPEAKER_02It had already started to grow back. God doesn't work.
SPEAKER_01Silently he never stops working. He doesn't tell nobody. Even if you don't notice it. His grace is made new every morning. There's anointing kept. There's a mercy reaching.
SPEAKER_02There's a favor being renovated.
SPEAKER_01This word is for me. Muchas esquecemos no sagrado. Many times we forget this thing. Thinking it's our privilege. God has a powerful message for somebody who's saying this man. But you're going to come and take four. We're gonna have a surprise. And when you repent and you acknowledge, you see your hair grow back.
SPEAKER_02Because he gave the promise.
SPEAKER_01But I pray for my children to be in your house. I want my daughters to be in your house. I want my family to be in your house. You were the result of prayers! You were the petition someone made! Oh my dear. The Bible says the people were then insulting him. Let's make the part even better by shaming Sam. Call him forward, get him out of the brig. Bring him to us. Let him push the grinder in front of us. Our enemy is bound. And so a young man took Samson by the hands of temple and led him to the columns and pillars. In the top part, there were three thousand people.
SPEAKER_02He prayed.
SPEAKER_01He never acknowledges who has the glory. He never acknowledged who the gifts were from. Even though he walked in the gifts. So the first time in his life, he actually prays. The Bible says, And so he cried out to the Lord. First time in the story that he recognizes who the Lord is. That the thief on the cross next to Jesus made. Would you remember me? When you come as king, remember. You know how they're the window to the soul? It's where honor is at. And where it happens. Speaks of memories. If you remember, Lord. Your vow. And the Lord. Yes, I do. Samson. Samson wasn't a hero of the faith because he killed lions. Or because he was about to kick a donkey's mouth off. Or because he could set fire to foxes.
SPEAKER_02One more time, Lord.
SPEAKER_00As if you have an obligation to always be at your best. I'm always well. I'm always being great.
SPEAKER_01Until you realize that your greatest victory happens after the Lord takes everything from you. And you spend your whole life thinking you're fine.
SPEAKER_02And then the Lord breaks you down. And takes everything away.
SPEAKER_01Nothing else remains. That's when you have faith. That you never acknowledged. You thought it was well because you were so good. Believe me. I know what that's like.
SPEAKER_00Someday the Lord will have to slay you.
SPEAKER_01You and all of your memories of disaster.
SPEAKER_02So that you may live.
SPEAKER_01People who got used to the holiness. You know how to do this.
SPEAKER_02What's God saying to you right now?
SPEAKER_01I never broke my promises. I don't break my promises. God is talking to people who are at the grind. Dressed as a clown. And you were made fun of and ridiculed. You already did so much. You already had so much. But now what's the story to tell? And people say, Where are they now? God is saying, I never forgot the promise. Just stay at the grind. Pray at the grind. The final days will be the most powerful, says the Lord. The days of your shame are the days where the Lord will show you who he is. The Lord is talking to people who only have their voice left to say help! Lord, I ask one more time. That time is coming. Because now there's nothing left, and you know this. And the most powerful moment in the scripture is the menina. The boy Samson by the mall. The young man who takes Samson by the hand. Lead me to the pillars, please. And he says to the menina, help my hand. And he extended the right and he extended the left. And when Samson fans pushed the shape of a cross.
SPEAKER_02That boy represents the Christ.
SPEAKER_01You needed to lose all vision. I relinquish all my glory. And in his death, you killed many. But in my death. Bring life back to the hope. The columns of Dagon. You brought judgment upon many. But with the cross. I open the time of grace. So that anyone who wishes to the cruise looks at the cross. Will find new station. So my friend Samson.
SPEAKER_00It was always pointing towards Jesus.
SPEAKER_01It was always about Messiah. Oh give me digital.
SPEAKER_00Somebody say something.
SPEAKER_01Oh Jesus. Always about Jesus. Maybe Samson's story scares you. Even though it spoke to you. Because with me. It spoke like this. Just straight bangers. Thomas. Ego Ben, learn this. Ego Ben, learn this. Look at the cross.
SPEAKER_02Can I pray for you? Pastor, I got nothing left. And I know what I carry from the Lord. I want to give you one minute.
SPEAKER_01If the Lord spoke to you today, leave your seat.
SPEAKER_02Come forward.
SPEAKER_01Come to Jesus.
SPEAKER_02Come to repentance and reconciliation. Come to petition the Lord. That He would lend you strength one more time.
