Protect All Life
Healing the Earth Through Permaculture Part 2
Sep 15, 2026
Claudia Green
Part two of this conversation with Roy Granger from Seeds of Succession unpacks common misconceptions about desertification, human ecology, and novel ecosystems. Roy breaks down his practical approach to land stewardship and explores how ecological restoration connects to inner spiritual growth and active community care.
Plus, Roy shared with us his recipe for making lactic acid bacteria:
To prepare Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum (LABS), first ferment starchy rice wash water in a dark, cool place for 1–2 days until it smells slightly sweet. Then, combine 1 part of this fermented rice water with 8 to 10 parts milk and let it sit for about 24 hours to separate into solid curds and a clear liquid whey, which is your usable LABS.
