But you know, what you know what? It's somebody on the network going to square, and the next one doesn't square. Okay. Brother Just Talking. Welcome. Welcome back to the brothers just talking. We so much enjoyed some of the things that you hit us up with last week. We're so glad that you enjoyed the episode. We enjoyed it so much, we're back again. My name is Harvey C. I'm your host. And let me kick it around to this glorious panel I got. Fellas, introduce yourselves. Big game James, the funky one.
SPEAKER_03It's E, aka Kimball Ross.
SPEAKER_02Bass and B Blue, one and only. Fellas, thank you so much. And and and we want y'all to get to know these individuals because we all got something on our mind and something to say. As I was saying earlier, thank you so much for your support uh in the first episode. We got feedback from you, and some of that feedback, ooh, y'all come off a little hardcore sometime. They they told one of the fellas, look, we want you to uh stop spending money on Hendog and invest your time to really know who Michael Jackson was. We also had another dude who said, Look, you need to do some history and study because Prince Wussie had Michael's legacy. And those are the kind of things that we're trying to provoke, and other reactions of many of the other things that we had going on with our show. So the first thing I want to toss out among our fellas, we're gonna get right to it. What are some of your quick reactions to uh some of the things that happened this week? You asking me first? Yeah, I'm asking you, big gang. Tell me what are your reactions to some of the things that happened this week? My thing was Trump getting booed. I love I love every second of it. You know what? I want you to chill on that because we're gonna take some time to really, really get into that. That was a biggie. This commander-in-chief of the country, supposed to be the top dog. You know, in a lot of people's minds, he's an eagle maniac, but he's the president, so there must be a bunch of people that love this dude. Eve, what what was the thing that uh hit you uh this week? Uh, one of the big things that hit me this week, a couple of things. One is that Spurs are back in the series. One more game, they'll be back in it. According to you, they should have never been out of it. But we're gonna leave that we're gonna leave that alone. We're gonna get to that another time. And the second one We're gonna richly come back to that too. Yeah, we're gonna come back to that too. The second thing would be my man. The second thing would be uh the Jay the Jay-Z picnic with uh um that was at the root, the root that went down at the root in the Philly. Yeah, that was that was really big and it came off really well. And obviously, we may take some time to get into that too. Um basically blue. What what you what you got, big gang?
SPEAKER_00I just want to say, I just want to say something before, you know, um in about a week or so, everybody, ladies and gentlemen, look forward to your C Note t-shirts.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, because many of y'all asked about that C Note too. And we'll we're gonna get into that too. That's also part of it. But I wanna I wanna keep us moving. Yo, Sebastian B. Blue, talk to us. What were one of your quick reactions to the week?
SPEAKER_01All right, so you you you were asking about the recap from last week. Um, yeah, you know, I pretty much say, you know, there's no need for us to to to ponder on that. We already know. We discussed it, we can move on.
SPEAKER_02But the biggest thing this, you know, this week so far is that C note. That's all. That's all I got. Yeah, that C note is thinking kind of hard, and I'm the one that's getting paid off with it, but I ain't said nothing yet. I got something to say to it a little later when we get to it. My my quick reaction to this week um dealt more, fellas, dealt more with um, you know how people are keyboard gangsters, and they say anything and put things on people that they wouldn't put on themselves. So one of the top things that I saw on the internet and on Instagram, they were dogging Kenny, Charles Shaq, and Draymond Green because they didn't go at the president. Now listen, all of us got our opinions about the president, and there obviously there's a large number of people that love him, and there's a large people a number that don't like him. 37. But don't put that on. Yeah, but don't put that on Kenny, Charles, and Chuck and the inside group gang that they got to carry the baton for all of our people. Look, some things we got to voice ourselves. And the way you voice it is do it at the polls. Now, I saw one celebrity, Jamel Hill, she went out there and she said some things, and I almost agree with her 100%. Me and her have that same little look. Why are y'all tripping on them? It's more about us, and we shouldn't even be coming at them like that. That's my quick reaction to something that went down this week. All right, let's move on and let's get in and start dealing with today's topic. We want to preview some of it. We already previewed some of the things that we're going to be talking about. Trump getting booed at the Knicks game. Did Trump ruin the Knicks momentum? And man, a whole lot of people up in New York are feeling that. So let's deal with those two topics. Let's start kicking that around. Um, how do y'all feel about politics and sports? Is there a place for politics and sports? We're gonna let uh Sebastian B. Blue kick this one off. What do you think about that, fellas? Um All I can say, you know, you know, you know me, I'm gonna be brief. Um you know, things can I don't even know how to say it, but it just don't mix. I mean, it didn't, it it really don't matter if it was this president or I can't even say that. We just gonna say this president, he a lot of things he just don't mix with, and you really can't even grind the ingredients together. Like you can, like you can really, you know, put oil and water together to make certain things. You can't do that with this guy in today's society. You can't mix him with anything because he's just one of those hard substances to mix with anything because he feels is is is it's all about him, and that's the problem. And that's the problem. That's all I can say. I'm I'm gonna throw it to you like that. Very egotistic dude. James, I'm gonna throw another question out to you. What do you think about free speech versus respect? How do you feel about that? I'm core free free speech. And I think I think honestly, we're all allowed to say we got what we can say we want to say, but you know, the consequences are consequences. If people don't like what you gotta say, you gotta be willing to accept what they say. That's all. I mean, I can say whatever. Go ahead. No, no, no. You go ahead. Go ahead, Bray. Yo, we we we straight up kicking it. Go ahead. I want you to finish. Like, I honestly believe it's I believe in free speech. You might say something I don't like, and I'm okay with that.
SPEAKER_00But at the same time, you have to be willing to understand that just because I feel how I feel and I say what I have to say, it may insult somebody, and I might I might hear something that might hurt my feelings, but that's just part of it.
SPEAKER_02That that is just part of it. E, why do you think the crowd was so vocal on going off like they were? Because they really went off on this dude. I mean, it was I heard some cheers too, if I'm honest, but it was vast majority booze. Why do you think the crowd was so vocal? I think number one is that um it's more of the uh the the people, the uh the guys that were selling their merch, the restaurants, and everything else. Because when the president comes, they shut everything down. So the only thing that they were really pretty mad though, they were pretty uh pissed off about was the simple fact that the money they were gonna generate, the money that we're gonna make, you know, the command in chief took that away with his presence. Now, technically, that's not the reason why the Knicks lost. Not because of him, but the merchants, they lost money because Trump was there. Because of all the security, they had to lock this down, lock that down. And the last time when the Knicks won, a lot of people got arrested during the time at the square when they did their thing. So this is what Trump's doing coming out here and locking stuff down. So they're really mad about the money they lost, because they lost a lot of money. One ticket, one seat was seven grand for a seat. Yes, we're not even gonna be able to get away. We're talking about the nosebleed. Yeah, that's in the booties. Yeah, that's in the booties in the booties. Seven grand. Yes. So if one seat is seven thousand dollars, imagine how much money everybody was losing if there would have been an after party. There was no after party. So I'm gonna mess up their money. I'm gonna tell you, I'm gonna tell you, you're right. I'm gonna tell you straight up. I was really speaking more about the crowd that was in the arena voicing how they how they feel. And this comes to my what I want to wanna throw out and force to talk on, and I guess I'll take the first crack at it. You know, when your public figure, you gotta expect criticism, man. You can't expect that everything gonna be pizzas and cream. Look, I done experienced it on a much smaller level myself, where everybody ain't gonna love you. And with him coming to the city like that, and especially now that they've lost the game, now, no matter how the Knicks may feel, San Antonio did make some changes, but a lot of people feel that my man put the hoodoo on them by coming to the freaking game. And they didn't even want this dude at the game. They made it clear. And what you mentioned, E, is the extra calliquers, where Cats had a lot of money they were expecting to make, vending and whatnot, and they had to chill because they pushed them back a couple blocks further away from the arena, locking everything down. I think they still hustled and made their money. But if they lost they lost a lot of money. They did lost a lot of money. But if they might make it back tonight, they might make it back tonight. They might make it back tonight because it the game is tonight. So if they go up there, um, let me tell you, cats in New York done tame down, calm down a little bit, but they still super, super hyped. Okay? So, you know, if you're public figure, though, I think you gotta expect criticism everywhere you go. What you I mean, how do you feel about it, Blue? Because I didn't get your thoughts on that. I think this dude, I mean, it it seemed like it may have been one of those type of things where in the past, I don't know, and I don't know, because I I haven't had a chance to look into this, but if they were trying to send agents, and you gotta look at it, it's kind of like the biggest picture. If they were trying to send agents to New York, you know, to kind of so-called clean up, and you know, they kicked it out. Now this was his opportunity. He's like, oh, hey, I'm gonna go to this game. So guess what, fellas? This is your opportunity, you know what I'm saying? You know, pick up as many people as you want and do what you gotta do, handle business. So I mean, one it was, it was it was like that that sheet of veil, be like, okay, hey, if we couldn't do it X amount of months ago, I'm going to the game. All the security, so hey, you know, second agenda, while I'm doing this, y'all do that. You see what I'm saying? And the mayor couldn't stop him from coming to the game.
SPEAKER_01Now he's at the game, he's like, oh, check this out. This this surrounded area right here, you pick up as many people as you can, do what you need to do, and then I'm out.
SPEAKER_02And you know the other thing, you know, that goes right along with that. I mean, you can't stop him from coming to the game, but we need to realize a couple things here, which you might not be aware of. Trump used to be a seasoned ticket holder for a long time coming to Nick. Trump's a Knicks fan. He's a big nicket. He's a big time Knicks fan.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I mean James Dolan. Coming to the game. James. And James Dolan invited the dude. That's the other thing. The owner of the Knicks invited him. So the fans, if they want to be upset with anybody, they should be upset with the owner. I know a lot of times they don't like Dolan anyway. So this leads me into my next point. So with Trump coming to the game, and I'm gonna throw it to E first because he he picked the Spurs to sweep them, and going into that game, the Knicks were sweeping the Spurs, did Trump ruin their momentum? Trump. E. You got the floor. Let me tell you something. If you can't win in the highest level in basketball, and you are complaining about a distraction, or you're complaining about we didn't get enough free throws because the other team got more free throws than we did. And brother, you need to stop playing the game of basketball because we have we have professionals that played it at a high level and still win. It was just him and Rodman going against Utah and the whole crowd, and the man won at the highest level. Oh, okay, he slow down. I think you're mixing it up. Mike was the one with the flu in Utah. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. He said Scotty. He said Scotty. So I just want to make sure that Scotty had a bad back. He had a bad back. He had a bad back. So he really couldn't play. Yeah, but it wasn't like that. Yeah, it was just Mike and Rodney. Right. So Mike wanted the highest level going to Utah at Utah. You try to tell me you're in your house and you're blaming the president for your L? Stop it. Stop. You shouldn't even play that. You should even stop playing the game. But the thing that I don't, I haven't heard any player complain about that.
SPEAKER_00My thought process is about the fans and the people. If you're a New York Knicks fan, like you know, like whatever team you're a fan of, it doesn't matter. If they lose, the fans are gonna blame Trump.
SPEAKER_02It's just period. That's they're gonna blame Trump. Right, right.
SPEAKER_00That's just that's just how that's gonna go down. I haven't heard one player complain. They all probably accept the responsibility they lost. But I never heard, I haven't heard any player say that. But I've heard fans say that, I've heard Spike Lee say that, I've heard all these other people say that.
SPEAKER_02And you know what? You know what? You know how you feel? I'm gonna tell you how they feel. They feel like Trump sleprocked them. You remember the Flintstones back in the day, where Slep Rock was always doing something, causing problems and issues. Anytime he came around, something happened. That's how they feel about Trump. Trump is sleprock because they were moving in the direction of that championship that they haven't had since 1973. They were rolling, the president comes, and all that stops. And if this series takes a turn on its axes, they're gonna blame him. And they're gonna blame him. They're gonna blame him. Now, is it right? Hold on, let me put this. Is it right? No, it's not right because the Spurs played some great friggin' ball. But that's what's gonna happen. They're gonna blame them. We're talking about the fans. The San Antonio Spurs played some great ball. Let's not take anything away from me. We took doing a great coach. We're not taking it with that. You know what I'm saying? So let's not take nothing away from the Spurs. We're just gonna say that the Knicks just didn't play to the best when the spotlight was the highest at its height. They just didn't play to spotlight. That's just by that's just the bottom line. No excuse for them. They took that L. I think it's confusing, though.
SPEAKER_00I think you're confusing. We're not we're not disagreeing with you what you're saying. That and then I agree with what you're saying, but I think the part that you're confusing is we're not talking about the players. We're talking about what the fans are gonna do. And and I think the fans are gonna blame them.
SPEAKER_02I'm just saying that let's not take away what the Spurs did. That's what I'm saying. Let's not overlook what the Spurs did. Let's not keep saying Trump and the media is using it as Trump as an excuse. Let's give it to the Spurs. They did what they had to do. And the coach, Mitch Johnson, give him credit. He did what he had to do. So let's not take away. I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna say this, and you're talking to me. I'm a Spurs dude. I'm down with the Spurs. You made me take your money. You made me take your money with the Nick Jumpy. So I'm not even, I'm, I'm with, I'm I'm gonna give the Spurs every bit of credit that they deserve. But I know if I was a New York fan, you brought Brad Juju to us, man. We were rocking. You done slap rocked us. Okay? And that that's how a New York fan will talk. That's how a New York fan would feel. And New York fans, if you out there, sit in your comments, New York fans. I want your comments so we can share these with Easy E. So he can see and know that y'all done, that y'all been slip rocked by the president. Now, it's crazy. I'm gonna look at something else. I'm gonna look at something else that might have been a problem. And maybe Blue, I know you're not a big sports dude, but maybe you can address this. Because pressure bust pipes. Did the atmosphere affect the team? Affect the Knicks? It was supposed to affect the Spurs, but did it affect the Knicks? Blue.
SPEAKER_01Can you play with that one? I don't think so. Yeah, yeah. I don't think so. I don't think it was the pressure, man. I don't think it was, man. I think it was, I think it was just, you know, that that that negative influence, man. You know what I'm saying? That's all I think it was. That's me. That's I think it was just negative influence.
SPEAKER_02The bad juju, the slip rock. Okay, okay. Um, James, what you think about that? I personally think, you know, sports, as a, you know, we all play ball, and it's very simple.
SPEAKER_00You know, superstition plays a part of that sport. So if if you got some, if you feel a certain way about something like that's why people wear the same clothes every Sam Day stinking, and whatever the case may be, whatever it is that you feel is gonna help your team out, that's what you do.
SPEAKER_02And if somebody puts a little, a little a little kink in that, you won't think that he messed it up because we are every we always had the parties. Now we can't have the party because he's here. We gotta show up two hours early now because he's here. It got nothing to do with the team. I think it has to do with the way the people feel. Because I'm superstitious about some things when it comes to my squad. Like, I won't look at the Eagles some days if I think I'm jinxing them. You know, because I'm playing in it, but I'm nowhere near the game. You know what I'm saying? It's just the way it is. That's real. But if it's like it's not taking it, that has nothing to do with the players. The players are the players. It got something to do with. The thing is, the thing is, is that we've all played some type of sports. Basketball, football, whatever. We used to play whatever. And from my experience, when I play ball, basketball, or whatever, is either you're better than me or you're not. I don't believe in all that superstitious stuff. Or the same size, don't wear the same socks, or if my team is playing, if I don't put on this jersey, they might win, they might lose. Nah, stop it. It's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. You know what I'm saying? The bottom line is they didn't play at the highest level they were supposed to play. Now, what if they would have won? Hypothetical. What if they would have won? Now, what it's gonna, what's what's the saying gonna be? Trump was the reason why they won. No, it didn't go at the way. They would just say they just said it went the way. Now listen, Trump took me to him. These boys did not play at the highest level. Okay? They didn't play as much. Mike Brown, I respect Mike Brown. I like Mike Brown. I really respect him a lot. In fact, he's the only thing I like in the Knicks is Mike Brown. Very good coach. He might be the next Phil Jackson. But other than that, they did not play to the highest level as players. Forget about what fans are gonna say. Because fans are gonna say what they said. Play at the highest level and give New York what they want, but they didn't. So Spurs is ready for me to be right there. I hear what you're saying, but we ain't talking about that. Oh, yes, we were. So let's stop that road runner. BB. Let me let me let me interject real quick, fellas. Let me interject real quick. Let me say it like this. When you run in, when we run in a street ball game and your team is already up, we, I mean, we run in Gunner. I mean, we up like three games, you know, and who's next? Who's next? Who's next? And you got the momentum just going. And then let's just say, let's just say one of the players, let's just say one of the players, you know, they they it's like they hot.
SPEAKER_01And then the next thing you know, their ex, their daddy, somebody negative come in there, coming, come to watch the game, they notice them, it's gonna take them out of their vibe. That's right now, so now this is real.
SPEAKER_02It ain't about it ain't about how he was playing the game before they came, before that person came. It was a negative influence. So now they just threw him, through that player or players off their, you know, threw them off their game.
SPEAKER_01So now it's like you can't question whether or not I can ball or not. Now I gotta deal with, I got this negative influence or this negative person in the crowd, and my attention is now diverted.
SPEAKER_02When it shouldn't be, because my teammates are gonna be like, yo, man, come on, get back in the game.
SPEAKER_01And they're gonna be like, you're gonna be like, man, man, they over there, man. They over there, man.
SPEAKER_02And then that's all they can say, that's all you can say. It's negative influence. That's all I gotta say. And I could go, and I could go back to what James is saying earlier. I don't know, Mecca, maybe you're not a fan like we a fan. I mean, me and my man James, we from Philly. We awfully passionate. I've walked in on games, and if the Eagles are coming back, but when I come in, all of a sudden they get a turnover, or they must not, I walk out. Get out, I walk out. Get out. I know I ain't got nothing to do with the game. But it's energy. It's the energy in the juju. To anybody who follows sports, this is just how they do. Yo, that's what they mean. Santa Claus is the price. Do we believe also fairy too, right? We believe in Santa Claus and Two Fairy. Santa Claus made the price. Stop it. No, no, no. You know what? No, you know what the difference is? I'm Santa Claus. I'm the two fairy. So it ain't no issue with that. Okay? Because I'm those things to my kids. You see what I'm saying? So, but and I hear you. But see, you probably never got wrapped with a team like that. And each New York dude. I like my team. These New York dudes, I want you to know. I want you to know these New York dudes are on another level. They are on another level with the team. I can understand it because I live on the East Coast. The teams on the East Coast are Boston, New York, Philly, Chicago. Um DC is such a transient city, so you can't count D.C. because there's fans here from everywhere. But those four cities, DC, New York, uh, Philly, Chicago, whoo! I probably could throw Detroit in there too. I probably can throw Detroit in there too. It's just, it's just like a it's just like a whole nother, it's like a whole nother level, man. So they're gonna try to blame somebody. And if they blame somebody, fellas, who are they gonna blame? Who are they gonna blame if the Knicks lose this series? Blame Trump. The Knicks, players, the coach. How about those guys? They're gonna blame them too. How about them? They're gonna blame them too. But but you know what they're gonna always say? We were up to O until Sleck Rock slowed up at the garden. That's what they're gonna say. That's what they're gonna say. That's what they're gonna do. They're gonna say we were up to O. To me, that's losing mentality. That's a losing mentality. We don't care though. If you don't have the mentality to win at the highest level, brother, you should not be playing the game of basketball at all. Well, you know what? At all. Well, you know, well, you know what? There's somebody I know who said that the Knicks were gonna get swept, and the Knicks were doing the freaking sweeping. Okay? The Knicks were doing the freaking sweeping. Last that I checked, the series' not over. Don't they play tonight? It is. Well, well, we know that we know the Knicks can't get swept. We do know that, don't we? It's not over. We know that can't get swept. Now, you know what's gonna be funny? If the Knicks lose tonight and then it's an even series, now guess who the pressure's gonna be on now? The Knicks. It will be on New York. I agree with you. It will be on New York. Right now, ladies' Spurs are playing with house money. They're playing with house money. Right, ladies and well, I think I think game one, I think game three, they played with house money. Tonight the pressure is equal on both those teams. Because the Knicks know if they lose, it's 2-2. If the Spurs lose, look, if the Spurs lose, they're down 3-1. Not many teams have come back from 3-1. Okay. Not many teams have come back. Somebody has come back 3-1, though. Somebody has. No, I said not many. I said not many teams. But I can't think of an NBA champion. Oh, yeah. Uh Witchcomb did. Cleveland did. Cleveland came back from 3-1 to be Golden State. And they had look, they had a little help from the refs. Uh throwing um green out for a game. Give it to Cleveland. Don't take it away from them. You know what? I'm not even gonna get into that with that, but we all know that was um blessing LeBron. That's what that was about. We're gonna bless LeBron. Well, let's get let's get back to something though. I got a big question for you, E. What about the C No joint? You gonna cash off a brother? You gonna take care of me or what? Uh we're gonna move to the next segment. I'm sure. So we hear, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_01I'm not doing that.
SPEAKER_02No, no. Now, now now listen. This is a dude now on the tape, and y'all out here who listening to the broadcast, y'all heard what he said last week. I'm a gambler. I ain't say nothing about I'm a gambler. He said she was a gambler. I told him, don't make me do this. I'm rooting for the Spurs. But I know they ain't gonna sweep the Knicks. Well, we got it, and I he right on tape say, yeah. Look, listen, I let my wife here just in case I was hearing things. She said, We said it. And so you on tape, boss. So what you gonna do? You gonna walk down? You're not gonna take it, you're not gonna take care of a brother? Come on, man. What's up?
SPEAKER_01Can I can I inject for a couple of things?
SPEAKER_02I had like a bad at least five people, I had at least five people to come in and say, have that dude hit you with the C no. It shouldn't be no question. Your heart. It shouldn't be no question. Your heart. Can I inject for this? Go ahead. Go ahead, Jane. Go ahead, Jane. I I I honestly think we need to open up. Can you hear me? Can you hear me? Turn yourself up a little bit though. All right. I I honestly think what we need to do right now is open a BJT escrow account for Amica.
SPEAKER_03I think that's what we need to do.
SPEAKER_02It was a case that you you you know, you inserted your mouth and you, you know, your mouth got you something that your butt ain't able to cash. Or you acting like you don't want to cash. I told you, yo, it is what it is. You know, I don't step out there like that off of something that I'm iffy on. I knew definitely the Knicks have been playing such great ball. The Knicks been balling. I knew that just wasn't gonna be they weren't getting swept. And I'm rooting for San Antonio. I hate the freaking Knicks because I got so many New York boys down with them. But I'm no fool. They were playing, and if they win the night, they're probably gonna be destined to win the championship. Now, if they lose tonight, if they lose tonight, it's gonna be our problem for. And you know what? And you know what? And if I was that kind of dude, I would go double or nothing with you and take the Knicks. But I hate the Knicks. So I can't go double or nothing with you. I really want to give you an opportunity to get your money back. I really do. But I can't, I hate the six percent. Look, look, we can always we'll have many other more bets. But I ain't waiting. Oh, there will be no other bets when I'm cash off. Uh-oh. There ain't gonna be other bets until you pay me. I mean, that's horrible. Okay. I don't, I don't, I, cause I see you not real. You watching. Go ahead, go ahead, big gang. What are we saying, man? Well, let's not do a bet till we can sell the C note shirts. Uh that's the escort count boy. Yeah, we don't we don't we don't need uh uh double C note shirts until we get rid of the one C note shirt. Oh, a double C note shirt. Yo, hey, right now you got so many people out there who say, yo, man, that dude ain't paying you a C No Harp. I said, it's gonna be taken care of, man. It's all good.
SPEAKER_00Yo, Harp, did you already start spending the money in your head? Like you would you already have playing with that money?
SPEAKER_02Which you had something planned already? Oh man, I ain't did nothing. I ain't did nothing with the money because I told him before we even got down. I'm retired, I'm doing well, okay? I'm doing that's how I even could say I could step out there and do that. You see what I'm saying? I would have never stepped out there and did that.
SPEAKER_00We got stopped because our man had PTSD. He's not gonna buy any more brooms in his life. He's gonna go about our own do. This house can be dirty, man, because he's not gonna buy anything to keep up in his house.
SPEAKER_02I am good. I tell you one if one of the things that we can do though, we can certainly let the let the audience, those of y'all that are listening, y'all heard what happened. Like, send your vote in. Should he should he should he pay Harp C? Should he pay me? Or should he not pay? Which one? What y'all think? Okay? And and we're gonna listen. Because just like I got the comics last week, we're gonna get the comics this week, okay? And we're gonna rock and roll with it. And and and we'll we'll we'll you know, we'll see what's up with it. We'll see what's up with it. But E, that just wasn't the move, man. That that was not the move. Your basketball analysis. Most cats said they were taking your sports card. And that's another thing. I ain't even put that in the comments and it's you. They was like, man, what was that dude drinking, man? I said nobody was drinking for the show. Just because I gave a basketball analysis doesn't mean that every analysis I give is going to be not a good analysis. So you got people that made thousands and thousands of analyses that didn't even go through. And even you were gonna make some analysis that won't go through. So let's not go there. Because when it comes down to it, basketball's not my thing. Football is my thing. I love football. Well, well, we my team. Not no Philly, but we see not no Giants, not no Dallas. We the commanders. So all my commander fans stand up. You know what? All my commander fans stand up for all these Philly, Philly guys that we have here talking all that smack about my commanders or talk about how the east of the Philly is better than the than the commanders. So I want all my all my commander fans to step out and let these cats know we got three, we got two. So let's not forget that. You're the bottom of the crop. Let me tell you, your joint is so nice. You want to go there. Let's have my time. Yo, look, you can still see my trophy, okay? It's blinging. It ain't just shining, it's blinging. Old school. That was only you don't want commander fans on your you don't want these commander fans on you. You keep talking, you're gonna get a whole bunch of commander fans coming on this live to give you a little piece of their little piece of their mind. So what did you say about my boys again saying here so my fans can hear it? Don't get the ball. What did you say about my commander fans now? What did you say about my team? They suckers. They suck, they suckers just like I'm always calling them suckers. I want all my commander fans. Big Harbor comments. I'm gonna leave 50 55 to 23. The funky one twenty. About our lovely Washington commanders. But let me bring this conversation. Let me bring this conversation about championships in storage. I don't like when you keep talking about my team. No, but no E. Um, are we talking about my team that has three and you have how many? Tell them what you was trying to say. How many you got? We actually have to do that. How many titles you got? Come on, the funky one. How many titles you got? Speak up to the mic.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you got to speak up to the mic, bro.
SPEAKER_02Runner, tell him, tell him one one in the 25. Yo, yo, speak up to the mic to stop running. Yeah, you don't want you don't you don't want my aka Redskin, aka watching football, these aka commanders. You gonna talk about my skin? AKA the comedy. Don't do it. Don't do it. You're gonna get a billion comments coming your way, baby. Hey, I leave you, I leave you with one thing, E. Win one in the 21st century. Okay. Win one in the 21st century. Let me have to be a good one. Because you haven't won nothing in the first quarter. You didn't win nothing in the 2000s. You didn't win nothing in the 2010, and you haven't won nothing in the 2020. So, what many people have now? How many super bowls you got, bro? Uh shiny with me. Shining. Two shiny, shiny. Oh, you only got two. You in the bottom of the barrel. You are behind. Uh you you way behind, bro. We're not even looking at you. You're way behind us. Hey, it's beautiful. Stay in the back of the bus. You know what? Stay in the back of the bus. The last time we need big. Do not talk about my command. You get three of the last time you're gonna be able to do it. You didn't even know who the commanders were. Don't talk about my commanders. You didn't even know who the great commanders were before.
SPEAKER_00Time out, time out, time out. But you know what? You better time.
SPEAKER_02We better talk about what we're supposed to do. You better time out. Talk about my command. Never talk about my comment.
SPEAKER_01You're moving. You're moving next up there.
SPEAKER_02How about that? Okay. One thing I wanted to say till we got totally, totally off track. We were talking about your suspect basketball knowledge. So, yes, you may have football knowledge. That's how you went to football and protected yourself. And I do see you you equipped a little better with football than you were with. I'm very equipped. So we're gonna so we're gonna leave. You put it out there yourself that you made a bet, that you made a bet you didn't know what you were doing. Because you didn't know what you was doing with basketball, right? You made that clear. Let's not go there next. All right, you want to skip that?
SPEAKER_01Let's go.
SPEAKER_02Let's look at let's move on. Let's move on. We're gonna keep it, Philly, because we can do that, okay? Jay-Z was at the Roots picnic, and uh, you know, he did a freestyle at the jawn. And let's talk about Jay-Z a little bit. Does he still have his freestyle ability? For those of us who follow the music like that. Blue, I'm gonna let you get the first crack at this because I know this is your boy, man. All day, all day, all day, all night, man. You know, I'm a I'm a I'm a I'm a fan, you know, you know. Ride or die type joint, man. I mean, he could be. I know. I mean, it don't matter, man. Ride or die, man. I'm I'm a I'm a true Jay-Z fan, man. It ain't no ifs, ands, or buts about it, but let me comment on that. The brother anywhere you put him on God's brand earth, he's gonna do his thing. He's gonna sell it out. Those are his words. Anywhere you put him on God's Green Earth, he's gonna make it happen. Period. That's all I can say. That's that's it. There's nothing else to say. And with that being said, that's all I got. Big gang. You check in. Go ahead, check in. I watched it and I also watched all the analysis. I hit a bunch of people out there going verse for verse and checking it out. I think it did good. I think it did good. A lot of young cats, you know, didn't dig him because they figure he's too old to have that beef. But my thinking is there's no age limit on being pissed off at somebody. You know, I mean, you piss me off now, 10 years from now, I'm still gonna, if I, you know, when you ain't looking, I'm still gonna sucker punch you. So I'm okay with it. I think I'm okay with it. I think we do get to at some point in a in our ages where it's beneath us to be, and that's how I felt about Jay-Z going at these cats. Yo, Jay-Z is like here. Look at my arm. Jay-Z is up here like this man. He is definitely probably in the Mount Rushmore or top five of most individuals who rank their rappers. He's the GOAT for a lot of people, right? I wouldn't mess with them, man. I wouldn't waste my time coming at him. And you know, he showed he still got his style. Listen, just his name alone probably was enough to sell out the loose picnic. And it was so many people there. Badu was there, Bleak Cardi B came through there. Jay-Z still got Jay-Z still got his juice. What now, E, what's your what's your what's your look on this? With I I know you felt that um last week we were talking about, and you felt M destroyed him on his own song, and I did too, for that matter. But I also but I also know that Jay done crushed a lot of dudes in his day. Jay done crushed a lot of dudes. So talk talk to us about it. What did you think about him at the roots pick? I think that um the man came on there, and I I think I liked his strategy of how he started the freestyle, and he went at everybody that talked negative about him that he never got a chance to get back at. And cats like Drake, Kanye, Dames, Nicki Minaj, he went at all those cats. Uh the guy that got locked up off of um Mega the Stallion, his father, he went at everybody. It was classic. It was it was a brilliant move for him to start coming out freestyling. And now, if you don't follow Jay-Z, and when he started freestyling the way he did, you're not gonna understand what the man is saying. You're gonna be like, what is what is he, what does this mean? But for us that followed Jay-Z, we knew what that meant. And when he did the thing about Dane's, Dane's uh dentures falling out of his mouth, oh man, it was it was hilarious. Yes, it was hilarious. The man went at him and he took shots at everybody. He took shots at Jane and was brilliant. He murdered Jane shot he took at him. You know, because Drake said, I'd rather take 500K before I have a uh dinner with you to have a conversation. He said, Hell no, I'll take the 500k. And then Jay-Z comes back and he says, Well, you know, before you can have anything with me, you gotta have to have a beat. Either a billion or maybe he was referring to Beyonce, but it was a brilliant comeback. So that picnic. I think I think he was talking about I think he was talking about a billion. He wasn't talking about his woman. He was talking about he talked to me. Yeah, he was talking about he was talking, yeah, he was talking about the the billion. Yeah. As in dollars. But what also also the one thing I did like, he brought he brought in Rock Nation. You know what I'm saying? Meek um um um Beanie, he brought in uh beanie, it's state property. He brought everybody from state property. Yeah, he brought everybody, so it was all love. He was in Philly, so he brought the whole state property through. He bought Beanie, he bought Freeway, Meek Mill came on the stage too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was all love. It was all up. He showed all the things. Yeah, it was all up. Listen, Jay-Z is only performing two places this year, Philly and in New York. Of course, he's gonna do New York, but he has a large, large respectful following in Philly. And, you know, I fluctuate, I fluctuate different days of the week, whether he's in my top five or not. But I do recognize him as one of the greats. Period. I'm an old school dude. I like Rockshell. I like, I I I, you know, I like I like. Kane, you know, I like Nas, who was a battler with him. I like KRS One. These are the two things Biggie and P. You know, these are cats, these are cats that on a given day I might put ahead of Jay-Z, but on another day, I might put Jay-Z ahead of somebody else. Because I have major respect for Jay. Ranger's respect for Jay. And I love what he did at the show. And he gives a lot of love to my people in Philly. So, you know, I'm I'm I'm always give Jay, I'm always give Jay, you know, that kind of respect, you know, and and and see that, you know, he's always gonna be, you know, respected and looked at in that manner. Let's move into our last segment. Any any but hold up, before we do, before we move into our last segment, anybody else got anything else they want to throw out as it relates to Jay coming back and and how he rolled these cats and let people know that he still got it. Yeah, it was the typical joint of him just saying, Allow me to reintroduce myself. Because, like I said, I mean, that's classic. Allow me to reintroduce myself because period, y'all thought that I've been sleeping, even though I've been jumping on all these cats.
SPEAKER_01I've been doing collabs in the background. Y'all thought I was gone. I'm no, I'm not gone nowhere. So let me allow me to reintroduce myself. And period. These cats think that they can mess with him and they can't. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02Jay will tell you who can who can match him. You know what I'm saying? He'll let you know that. And I mean, lyrically, on that freestyle tip, there's there's there's there's a only a few cats that can do that like that. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, everybody got their own style, but there's only a few that could do it like that. Off the top of the dome. He did his thing. Yeah, off the top of the dome. I'm with you. You know he was on stage with a dude who can do that too, though. You know that, right? No thought, thought can go just like that. Yeah, he can. Yeah, he can. Yeah, yeah. Go thought can go just like that. And I didn't even mention Black Thought, but I think of him as a band and not so much as a solo artist, you know, for myself. But um, yeah, Jay, J, Jay, Jay, Jay gets respect, mad respect, and he deserves every, you know, every every second of it. Since we own this uh hip-hop thing and uh hip-hop debates and beats, this brings me into uh the who you got. Okay. And I'm gonna throw it to each person. You got a minute to defend your particular individual, and we take it from there. We're gonna go with Kendrick and Drake because that's the hot one of the most recent time, which is like right now. Kendrick and Drake. So, James, okay, big game. I'm gonna throw this to you first. Uh Kendrick or Drake? I'm gonna I'm going with Kendrick. And I'm gonna tell you why. Reason I go with Kendrick over Drake, Drake lost some respect for me, the fact that he got bodied the way he did, then he wants to sue the brother. You don't see, you know, when you go back and forth like that and you and you battling, you're not supposed to be getting to your lawyer because he hurt your feelings. You're supposed to come back with something hard and and and and do your thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think uh Drake lost a lot of us uh with that. And you know, he put out like, was it three albums or two albums two weeks ago? And they didn't do anything, man. So it seems like the public ain't feeling them right now. But I want y'all to think of Drake and his prime for the sake of this conversation, Lamar versus Drake. Um Blue, what you got with what you got for me on this one? I agree with uh, yeah, I agree with what uh what uh my man was saying, because like I said, I mean I'm gonna I'm gonna go with Kendrick because I'm like, you know, rap battles, rap battles stay on wax. You know what I'm saying? They stay on wax. If they bleed out into the street, you know, you know, hopefully won't, you know, it sometimes that happens, but it stay on wax.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm saying? I mean, some of your greatest rap battles, they stayed on wax, and then, you know, they was cool peoples after that.
SPEAKER_02You know what I'm saying? You you went legal on this, man. I'm like, you did what you had to do. Maybe you was like, you know what? You saw this as a as an opportunity to make that money, the way society is doing things nowadays. Oh, I ain't gonna go at you like that. I'm gonna go after your pockets.
SPEAKER_01So I mean, maybe somebody got in his ear and be like, yo, man, you need to go after his pockets.
SPEAKER_02But the point still stands, you got body, and you went that route instead of, you know, just manning it up and be like, hey, if you lost, you lost. You're gonna have that in rap bottles. You will have winners and losers, but you still keep it going. Right, right. E, you got the ball, E. Take your minute and give us what you think on this particular side. Matter no matter how you no matter how you look at the situation. No matter how you look at the situation, you can say, we can all we can all agree, okay, we can all agree that, you know. Break it down, break it down, please, baby. Kendrick Lamar got it in the classroom. We can all agree to that. But let's let's let's let's look at the body of work. Drake has more body of work than Kendrick Lamar. Hands down. Hands down, he has more body of work. He has we can we can we can go through all hits to hit if if they did a versus, Drake would win. If they did a versus verse versus verse, Drake against Kendrick Lamar, Drake wins the verse. Drake is, no matter how you look at the fact that he lost uh that battle, well, that because of that song, and he did the retaliation, try to sue this, okay. I get that, keep it on wax. But let's look at the body of work. Who has the better body of work? It's Drake. Drake has the body of work. Drake has all the the hits and everything out there. That's why Jay-Z is only looking at Drake. He don't look at nobody else but Drake in terms of who he can compete with. He got much respect for Drake. He got respect. He got respect. He got much respect for Drake. He don't look at Kendrick. You know why he didn't look at Kendrick? You know why he didn't look at Kendrick? He didn't look at Kendrick. Because one, he put Kendrick in the Super Bowl. Don't forget, Jay-Z is the dude who's picking artists to play with the bigger. What are you talking about? So, so he not with her.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. I'm with you.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, I'm not a dude, but fact check, man.
SPEAKER_01What is he talking about?
SPEAKER_02Fact check. You said that Jay-Z went at Drake and he only goes at Drake like because Drake is such a top dog. No, he don't respect Drake. He didn't go at Kendrick because he respects Kendrick because he knocked Kendrick to the freaking Super Bowl. I'm just saying, I want you to remember that casting body of work now. I agree with Drake than Kendrick. Yeah. You can laugh or try to dispute what I'm saying now. His body of work, he has more body of work than Kendrick Lamar. Now you can go ahead and Google that, or you can go ahead, spot the guy that whatever you want to do, he has more body of work than Kendrick. I don't have to. I think he's helped Kendrick out before they got into their little beef. I would I would tell you this. And this okay. Now let me run this to you. I let you finish. Let me drop this on. I agree with you, I think early on, and if we go back five years, four years, maybe even three years, five years, I'm gonna say, because Kendrick got really strong the last five years. Drake had he. But somewhere Drake lost him and lost the people. And in hip-hop, the people always decide who's the kid. Are you kidding me right now? It ain't the spell. Listen, it ain't the stuff the record, it ain't all of that. It's the people, the the pe the the um the hip-hop culture itself. I bet you right now, if you did a poll on TikTok or Instagram, ask who's got a big thing. Who got hits? Drake or Ken has more hits. They're gonna go with Kenzo. They're gonna go with Kenzo. Who has more hits? Year after year after year. But he don't, but he's not in the cat first seat. He's not sitting in the crown seat. He does have more hits. He does have more hits. We proved that two weeks ago when he dropped those two outs and they didn't get one hit. Yeah, put him over the top because it's gonna mean he really ended up following Kendrick. It was good meaning uh Kendrick got way more than one hit of one. What mean you ended up following Kendrick? You don't get bro, you don't get you don't get the Super Bowl in one hit. Since you brought this up the Super Bowl with one hitch, let me tell you something about Jay-Z. Michael Jackson, it was who he liked that he put in the Super Bowl. Ain't got nothing to do with Kendrick Lamar was better than Drake. It's who he liked. He didn't like Lil Wayne because Lil Wayne should have been in that Super Bowl when it came to his house. He knew why he put Lil Wayne up there. You know what? He didn't even want to put 50. Remember 50 sample? He didn't want to put 50 up there until the Eminem says, that's gonna play unless 50 plays. I ain't playing. And that was his man. So it's who he liked. So he ain't got nothing to do with what Kendrick did, is who he liked. Now, if you're going with body of work, Drake should have been on it. Chris Brown should have been in it. If Kendrick. So that's not true. I'm gonna tell you this. If Kendrick was if Kendrick was a scrub, if Kendrick was a scrub, I never called Kendrick, he's not a scrub, Jay Z would have never been able to validate that. I'm making a point to you. So Jay Z can't just put anybody in there because that's what he wants to do. He has to put somebody in there that he know the people want and the people will accept. And at the time, can I finish? Can I finish? Because I do let you speak, my brother. Let me finish. Yo, he put him in at a particular time that he knew he was hot. And he was hotter than Drake. Okay? And for you to say that he got one. No, I didn't say he has one good song. I said he had that one. You almost disqualified yourself to me. That's the one that won him. He was over the top before that. I know about the side. He's over the top before that song about Kidder. I like it. He was over the song. He was over the top. But that doesn't mean that he has a better body of work than Drake. But then you know he was over the side. Never said. Never. I never you never heard me say that he had more hits than him or even a stronger body of work. I think Drake probably got the stronger body of work. How do you know he doesn't have to be a good thing? But he doesn't have the peak. That's your opinion, though. He has Canada on his side. That's big. He has the whole country on his side. What are you talking about? He got his whole country behind him. You know what? Well, you know what? Canada didn't help him sell albums two weeks ago, did it? Canada didn't help him sell anything. He didn't help him sell anything two weeks ago. Listen, listen, listen, listen. You made me talk bad about Drake. Kendrick, you did that on your own. So you take those comments that come your way when you talk bad about Drake. You take those comments. I ain't taking no comments that I say anything bad about Drake. You did. Hey, listen, hey, listen. You made me say that about Dude, okay? That he had a whole country behind him. The first thing I'm thinking about is country. His country helped me help him talk about it. Right. It's all good. Drake handed it. All you Drake fans. To be sure. Harvey said that, so you go after him for saying something bad about your guy Drake. So listen, I'm gonna let y'all know. The fans will be going with me because most fans know, like I know, Kendrick is the better skilled rapper. The most hits, yep, Drake got the most hits. Drake probably made the most, has made the most money. But Kendrick, his catalog is not always a catalog for making money and doing this and doing that. His thing is he comes to here. He comes to the dome. And that's why I like him and I like J. Cole better than I do Drake. I like Drake. I don't think Drake Cole is well. I don't think Drake Cole is respected more than Drake. Right. I love J. Cole. I actually like J. Cole more than I like Kendrick. Okay? I actually like J. Cole more than I like Kendrick. However, I know he's not on Drake's level or Kendrick's level. Okay? He's a man, he's a bad dude. Now, if he had a um a face off either one of them, it'll be interesting. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, it would be it would be industry. You know, but if we look at his catalog, Drake. His catalog. I agree. They don't create a Kendrick Peter, you know, but does a bad dude. You're a bad dude. You're a bad dude. Well, fellas, look, I think it's time we wrap this up. This has been truly a spirited affair. That's what I'm gonna call it. A spirited affair. And we want y'all look at the first opportunity, we want y'all to become subscribers. But more than that, we want you to send your comments in. We love to hear from you. Okay? And so send me the comments. Send the comments to Big Game. Send the comments to Smash the Blue, and send the comments to Easy E. Send them to him so we know. Okay? Let him know how you feel. RC ain't ready all the time. I know that. But I'm right this time. Okay. I was right this time. The Knicks got that booty and they was not getting sweat. I'm gonna end it up on that. Y'all take care. We love y'all. Peace.
