She just said, God, I have nothing. I've nothing. I'm nothing. If you can use nothing, use me. You came to the end of herself. And uh and he did. And she opened another church and she just began to preach the gospel. And without ever laying hands on anyone or doing any sort of religious calisthenics or dramatics, she would just preach the gospel and then someone would get healed. People started getting healed of tumors and things like that, just sitting in the presence of the Lord. And I've always been pretty big on that. The first time the Lord ever did anything extraordinary in my ministry, I'd been called, the first time I'd ever been called to another church as a guest minister to preach. And I just preached on the love of God and how God treasures us so much and the grace of God. And the anointing fell over the whole place, and they all fell to the ground and were weeping for a long time. So long that I finally just went and sat down. And so I believe in that. And I believe that the healing power of God is present. And I I want you to understand that. And like Samuel and I were talking, when people come, you know, 168 hours in a week, and when you come to the house of the Lord, I think you should just come expect it. Because everything that you need is here. The Holy Spirit is here, and whatever you came wanting or needing, uh He already knows. You know that? And I'm already praying that you receive everything that you need and want and that He has for you while you're here in our midst. You might get it at home, but it would be awesome if you got it here. We'd love to hear the testimonies. I don't mind you just popping up and saying, Hey, I'm healed. It won't bother me if you interrupt. The Holy Spirit will be quite pleased.

But I just wanted to say that. I don't know why I said it about Catherine Kuhlman, but um I think I was watching something, and there's this young couple online, and they're very good at Bible uh knowledge. Oh, they could, you know, they could teach upside down backwards every Bible study, you know, everything about the Bible, all the facts. But, you know, to them women can't be pastors and this and that and the other, and and uh it's just uh sad that uh, you know, I say, well, you know, tell that to Catherine Kuhlman or Amy Simple McPherson uh or some of those other powerful women of of faith that God used because he couldn't find a a good man that wanted to step up and and do what he had called them to do. I say that because she used to say that uh she asked God why he used her instead of a man, and he said, I asked seven other men, I think it was seven, before I asked you, they they all they all declined. Nevertheless. Uh that might help somebody, I don't know. But uh I don't know why I included it, but it was I felt inspired to do so. So praise God. God bless you all. Love you. As it comes out, as you have planted the seed of your word in my heart, and it and I speak it out today, Lord. Let it let it take root and bear fruit in the in the hearts of the hearers, Lord. Oh, we love you. We thank you, Lord, for using me today, the anointing that breaks every yoke. Thank you that every need be met, Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Well, I don't have to tell you that a lot is happening in the world today. Amen. Praise God. So let's be praying for God's will to be done.

You know, that's our superpower, is prayer. And we have the Holy Spirit, and we can change the dynamic of the entire world, I believe, if we just have faith and believe and trust in God. So let's be praying for our nation, for our military, pray for Israel, pray for the Persian people. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for the gospel to be heard all over the world and for souls to be saved. Amen. Jesus had said, I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. You know, last night and into early Monday, I think, um, I was reading that, so that's February 28th, which was last night till today's the March 1st, till March the 3rd early. Six planets have started lining up. Um Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune. It's called uh a planetary parade. Isn't that cool? It's pretty rare. And uh then right after, on March the 3rd, before dawn, a total lunar eclipse is gonna turn the full moon, what's called a worm moon, that's what they call a full moon, into a into a blood moon. It's not, I'm not I'm not saying anything by this, I'm just telling you. You you you pray about it and take it for what it's worth, amen. It's gonna be visible not everywhere, but parts of uh I think North America and Asia, Eastern Asia, Pacific and Australia, and so billions of people will be able to see it. God loves putting signs in the sky. Amen. Genesis 1.14 says he made the lights for signs and for seasons. And then in Joel 2.23, in which Peter, Pito, Peter echoed in uh in Acts 2.20, the sun shall be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And then Jesus, of course, said in Luke 21, 25, there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars. You know, we're called as God's children to always keep our lamps burning bright. Amen. And to be ready for his return. He loves us. There should be nothing that scares us, but we should always be prepared. Work like he's gonna be a long time coming, but be prepared as if he's coming tonight. Last week I was talking about the fact, the truth, spoken by Jesus himself, that the work of God, because they want to know what do we need to do to do the works of God, like everybody wants to know. What do I need to do? Jesus said the work of God is this to believe on the one whom he has sent. Speaking of himself, of course. So this week I want to talk about the rest. The rest of the story. Remember Paul Harvey? Oh, I love Paul Harvey. The rest, how we enter and remain in his rest. And it's just more of the same. We believe. We believe. Hebrews chapter 4, 9 through 11. 9-11. Do you think this is part of the scriptures that I searched out back in so many years ago when he was giving me 9-1-1 all the time? I do. And again, not to scare me, but to prepare me. There's a lot for us to do and a short time to do it, and God wants to build his church, and he wants everyone to be saved, and they they're not all gonna make it. But it shouldn't be for our lack of trying. Amen. Hebrews 4, 9 through 11. So then there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. Now he's talking, he's comparing us to the old covenant believers who just did not wrap faith around their belief. And they they got stuck in unbelief and doubt and and uh and just kept trying to earn, but they just uh didn't quite get it. You see, it takes effort, it takes effort to rest in the finished work of the Lord. That's why it says struggle, strive to enter that rest. It seems like an oxymoron. Our human nature wants us to do something, to be worthy of the Lord, doesn't it? But the truth is we can never be good enough to deserve the goodness of the Lord in our own efforts. We have to quit trusting in our own good works and rest in what Jesus has freely provided by grace. That's the ticket. And you know that takes a lot of effort. That's not strong enough, actually. Because I'm convinced that the the body of Christ at large just does not get this. We just do not, it's so I'll say it like this. It will be it will be the hardest thing that you've ever done to quit relating to God on the basis of your own works and start trusting totally in what Jesus did for you. The hardest thing you've ever done. So we have to labor to rest. It's simple, but it's not easy. So we just trust in Jesus. We just trust in Jesus. Believing means placing all of our trust and hope in who he is and what he has done. And it's it's hard not to keep trying to to earn his acceptance. It just is. No matter how much we learn and grow, it just is. We have to, it takes so much effort. Our old nature is is gone, of course, but it left behind some remnants, didn't it? In our soulish realm, some stinking thinking, garbage, condemnation, and shame, and guilt, and all the things that Jesus bore on the cross for us. So we're not supposed to have them, but we do. And because of that, we're trying to earn acceptance with God. But the cross changed all that. There's all the divine exchanges that I spoke about last week. Colossians 2, verse 16 says, Let no man therefore judge you in meat or in drink or in respect of a holy day or of the new moon or of the Sabbath days. Jesus set all the requirements of the law aside. If he hadn't, we should all be Seventh-day Adventists. You see, all religion is really hypocritical. I mean, there there are some things good about religion, and James said so. You know, hey, take care of widows and orphans and do good. Hey, there's nothing wrong with the good things about religion. The bad thing is when people put their trust in the works that they do in their religion to make themselves feel good enough, God owes them something. Now they've earned a place with God, you see? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. But even they, you know, meeting on meeting on Saturday, you know, observing the Sabbath and saying that others who don't do it that way or, you know, or are not saved and so forth, that's just so ridiculous. You know, they would be lawbreakers, they'd be stoned to death just for getting in their car and driving to the church if they're really observing the Sabbath. You see what I'm saying? So, what part is it, you know? It's not an a la carte. You either keep the whole law or you're guilty of it all. And trust me, we can't. Oh my goodness. Under the Old Testament, the old covenant, God's protection was conditional. Samuel. But for you and me today, it's received through grace by faith. We have to read and understand all the promises of God in the Old Testament and the New Testament or covenant through the lenses of grace. That's what I always say on this side of the cross. The reason I say in the Old and the New, because you read it differently now through the lenses of grace. Because if you're reading in the old covenant and you come across some of the promises that were made, yeah, we see in context, many of those promises were to the Jewish people specifically, right? And they were also many times conditional, weren't they? On their behavior. Do good, get good, do bad, get beat. That was the law, though. But Jesus has changed all that. Ephesians 2, verse 14 and 15. For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one, talking about Jew and Gentile, talking about everybody. Has made us one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility. That's the torn curtain. Hallelujah. From top to bottom. That huge heavy curtain, something impossible to do in the natural. The torn veil of his body is made away right into the holy of holies. Glory to God. By abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace. Hallelujah. So under the new covenant, that spiritual wall that separated Jews and Gentiles has been broken down so that everyone can have equal access to God. So God hears and answers our prayers whether or not we've uh had bacon for breakfast or worshiped on a certain day, we're no longer living under the old covenant, right? Ours now is superior in every way. Hallelujah. Hebrews 10, 19 and 20 says, therefore, brothers, whenever there's a therefore in the Bible, you need to find out what it's there for. Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence, we have confidence.

Do you have confidence to enter the most holy place by the blood of Jesus? You see, before that the veil was rent in two from top to bottom, nobody could go into that holy of holies except one man once a year with a rope tied around his leg just in case he had some sin that wasn't temporarily covered by the blood of an animal or some sort of offering. They had to drag him out because nobody could go in and get him, or they'd die. Now we can run boldly into the throne room of grace. Oh, Jesus, thank you.

We can have confidence to enter the most holy place by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way opened for us through the curtain of his body. We have a new and living way through Jesus. Under the old, protection was something that had to be achieved. Under the new covenant, protection is received. Our work is simply to believe. That's the rest of the story. Amen. Hallelujah. Praise God. The law was external. You see the difference, right? The law was ever before you, in your face, reminding you. No matter which direction you turn, the devil would always take and put it right before you. Remind you. You know who you are. You know what you've done. I remember. You see? External. It made demands that you couldn't keep. Paul said, the more he tried, the more, and the more he learned about it. The more he wanted the things he wasn't supposed to have. But grace. The law was given by Moses. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Grace is grace isn't just a law or a statute that's accomplished in heaven for us. Grace is a presence of God with us. A gift that empowers us. Paul said, Paul said it, Paul was talking about his ministry and kind of started to talk about the accomplishments. He goes, but wait, it wasn't me. It wasn't me doing the work of the ministry, but the grace of God was working through me. Titus 2.12 tells us that the grace of God is a teacher. Teaches us how to live this Christian life. The Philippian church was compelled by grace. Oh my goodness. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Have your way. The Philippian church was compelled by grace to give beyond its ability. They didn't just give. I mean, they gave their tithes and offerings, but then they they must have, Paul said beyond their ability. They must have found unique ways to come on, let's let's let's find some other ways to bless this ministry. And it he was so blessed by what they did, he wrote it down for all of us to read for all time. And show how powerful the grace of God. The grace of God makes you an extravagant, hilarious giver. God so loved us that he gave his very best. Jesus loved us so much he became poor. He set aside his extravagant wealth and riches and became poor so that we could be made rich.

So there's grace to be an extravagant giver. There's grace for our finances. That's Jesus said that's the least of everything. He talked about it because it's something that we definitely need and we and we understand about that. But he says, if you don't understand this, you're not gonna understand anything. This is the least. But there's there's definitely grace for our finances, there's grace for our health, our marriages, our relationships. There's grace to face every giant. To be free of addictions and all sorts of sin and oppression and depression. Hallelujah. There's grace for that. You have a need, there's grace for that. There is grace. There is grace to be just as Jesus is. Because you are born of God and you're now his precious children if you've received the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5.1 says, Imitate God. Now, if you just walked up and somebody said, Imitate God, they were like, you've lost your mind. Well, that's why I'm reading a scripture. Ephesians 5 1. Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do. And here's why. Because you are his dear children. I would say that's not only the why, but the how.

So now we imitate God. Oh, God's ways are so far above our ways, we don't know. We can we can pray, but you never know. Coward. Cop out. Religious teachings and doctrines of men have made the word of God of not effect because the word of God says we can be imitators of God, and if we don't know his will or his ways, how could we possibly imitate him? We are his children. Not to we we so we imitate. You ever seen a little boy that didn't want to be just like his dad? I mean, if his dad was around, unfortunately, in this culture, we don't set the examples that we're supposed to. For them to have someone to learn what a good father is, a loving father, a strong father, so that then it's easier for them to turn to their father in heaven and understand what a good father looks like because they have already seen it in the natural. And then for that father to tell them, look, I'm nothing compared to the one who is both of our fathers in heaven, you see. That's how it's supposed to go. Unfortunately, it doesn't always go that way. And many of us have failed terribly in that regard. But God is merciful. But now we do. Once we come to know the Lord, we do. We struggle to enter that rest to imitate God because we are His. Not to earn a position or a place at the table, may no. We sit right down at the table and we lay our head on his chest. You're his child because you've believed completely in what Jesus has accomplished for you. First John chapter 3, verses 1 and 2. Behold, what manner of love the Father has given to us that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are. And you know, John put an exclamation point right there. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are now children of God. And what we will be has not yet been revealed. Listen, it gets better and better and better, folks. We know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we will see him as he is. As he is, so are we in this world. Right now. Second Corinthians 5 21, at the cross, God made him, Jesus, who knew no sin to be sin for us. Divine exchange here, that we might become the righteousness of God in him. We are the righteousness of God in Christ. Today. And because we're righteous in Christ, we have great and precious promises. Psalm 512 says, For you, O Lord, will bless the righteous. Who are the righteous? Those who have received Jesus Christ. So you're righteous with his righteousness. The righteousness obtained by faith, not by works. 512, Psalm 512, for you, O Lord, will bless the righteous with favor. You will surround him as with a shield. Hallelujah. His blessing is upon you, his favor surrounds you. And he has great things planned for you today. A hope and a future. Blessings and not curses. Health and not sickness. Psalm 91 says, You, you, you, you, you, you, you will tread on the lion and the cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent. Because he loves me, I will deliver him. Because he knows my name, I will protect him. When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him, says the Lord. Remember, we do love God. We do love God, but in Christ, we are loved unconditionally. And we love him, John said, because he first loved us. The more conscious you are of the Lord's love for you, the more his blessings and favor and protection will manifest in your life. It's not about earning, it's about receiving. It's about resting. And it blesses him when you do. It blesses him when you do. Samuel and I like Western Joey, too. I know probably all of us. Name this movie movie Your Daisy If you do. Never mind. Praise God. Some of you get that later. Remember last week I was talking about Paul and Silas in the prison down there in Acts chapter 16. Starting at the 25th verse. I just want to read that again. It says, about midnight. Always talk about being strong at midnight. You can be strong at midnight. About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God. And the prisoners were listening to them. Now listen, these men were chained up in the darkness down in that dungeon, just like the other prisoners. And they had been beaten. They were probably bloody and in terrible pain and everything else. It's just the way it was. But at midnight, they were praying and singing praises to God. And what happened? Suddenly there was a great earthquake. So that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened. All the doors. Not just theirs. And everyone's bonds were unfastened. But I told you last week nobody left. I mean, there were unbelievers in there. Believe me. But the anointing was so strong that nobody left. And that prison guard, he went to kill himself because he would have been killed anyway because they had escaped. And they hollered out, Hold on! We're all still here. Don't harm yourself. And that night, that Roman guard and all his family were saved. They were just loving and praising and trusting God, Paul and Silas.

They could have been complaining and saying, Lord, we were just serving you and preaching in your name, doing what you called us to do, and now look at this terrible situation. We've given up everything. And you know what? I believe they would have I believe none of that good stuff would have happened had they done that. Not that they did anything to deserve what God did supernaturally, they just gave God place to be God. Instead of honoring the devil by complaining, they blessed God by just loving him and praising him and trusting him. Some of those young men, they just they were, they gave they glorified God for being counted worthy to suffer for his name's sake. In the early days of the church, people were fighting over who was going to go into the Colosseum and be burned at the stake and used for sport with wild animals and such. So much so that they stopped doing it, sacrificing the Christians because Romans were getting converted, because they were seeing evidence. Come on, hand. Thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. Just trusting God, praising him, loving him, and the supernatural protection and blessings of God were able to manifest. The favor of God abounded. I was thinking last night, I couldn't I couldn't stop thinking about Daniel in the lion's den. And I'll just finish with this one, but talking about rest, resting and trusting in God. Because I don't think there's not much difference. Daniel 6, 22. Daniel chapter 6, verse 22 says, My God sent his angel and shut the lion's mouths, and they have not harmed me. Because I was found blameless before him, and also before you, O king, I have done no harm. Now, in context, in Daniel chapter 6, you know the story. This was in ancient Persia, by the way. Around 539 BC. King Darius the Mead. He had been, so I don't turn over there. Darius had been, he was very fond of Daniel. At this time, Daniel was about 80 years old, you see. But he had been tricked into signing a dumb law, you can read it, by some evil men in his government. And it basically was done to set Daniel up for praying to his to our God. A Jewish prophet Daniel was. Amen? And he was in captivity there in Persia, but he served at the king's pleasure, and the Lord elevated him even in captivity, just as he did so many others. Joseph is one. But he was one of God's anointed and appointed. But Darius had basically he'd signed this law, and they pointed out that Daniel had broken the law, so he had to put him down into the lion's den. All night long. Daniel sat there with these hungry, vicious lions. But they never touched him, did they? They never touched him. And in the morning, when the king called out to him, he was glad that Daniel was unharmed. And he pulled him up out of there. Daniel was proclaimed innocent. And see, prior to that happening, the only thing he had said was that he was innocent. So he had proclaimed his innocence, but he never got angry. He never got mad at the king or accused anyone else. He just said that he was innocent, but he he never got into anger. He never got into fear. He never got into worry. This is a big thing. He trusted God, and God delivered him. Now, the ones who wrongly accused Daniel, if you remember the story, along with their families, were the ones who ended up being killed by the lions before they could even get lowered all the way to the ground. So it's not that they just weren't hungry. If God did this for Daniel, just think what he'll do for you.

All you gotta do is believe and receive. That's easier said than done, isn't it? I told you, it's the hardest thing you'll ever do in this life is to enter that rest. Just believe and receive, or doubt and do without. It's so easy to say. But it's the hardest thing your flesh will ever do in this life. But it is what God wants for you. If Daniel had gotten angry or bitter, I don't think he would have received the deliverance and the protection from God that he did. It was because he trusted in God. And in that same chapter, Daniel chapter 6, verse 23 and 24, I'll just read two more verses. And then I'm going to finish it up here. The king was overjoyed that Daniel was happy. I mean, healthy. And he gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted out of the den, no wounds whatsoever were found on him because he had trusted in his God. Verse 24. Now listen to this. At the command of the king, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought and thrown into the den of lions. They and their children and their wives. And before they had reached the bottom of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones. Listen, in Christ, you have a better covenant with better promises than Daniel did. You say, Well, Daniel was found blameless. Isn't that what it said in the in the 22nd verse? I was found blameless before you, and also before you, before him, speaking of God, and before you, O king, I have done no harm. You say, Well, see, Daniel was found blameless, and I'm just a sinner. Those lions would have eaten me. You might not say it, but some of you thinking it. Maybe none of you here, some of you online. I know. Those lions would have eaten me because I wasn't, I'm not blameless. I'm just an old sinner. I know those lions would have eaten me. Maybe. Might have. Because you don't see yourself in Christ. That's a hard truth. But it's supposed to help you. Would they eat Jesus? Let me ask you this way. Would they eat Jesus? Nah. Nope. But as long as you see yourself as a beggar eating the scraps off the master's table instead of a child of God seated at the table, you aren't believing as you should. Daniel didn't get saved because he was perfect. There's nobody that's sinless. The perfect thing that saved him was his trust in God. Amen or owe me. And I'm done here. But since we're speaking of Persia, if you go back and study the scriptures we're talking about today, which I know you always do, amen. And you're looking at Daniel chapter 6, just turn back one page. I'll remind you to Daniel chapter 5, and you'll know what I'm talking about. Later on, if you've forgotten the story. But in the world we live in today, some of God's enemies who hate his people just saw the writing on the wall. You'll know what I'm talking about if you go back to chapter 5 and read it later on. They saw the writing on the wall this weekend, Barbara. God is patient, God is loving, God is merciful and kind. It's not his will that any should perish. But when you mess with his people, and you call for the death and destruction of everyone that loves him, and you do it in the name of a false God and a demonically inspired religion, you better watch out. Because God takes it personally. Just like Jesus told Paul on the road to Damascus, whom he had never met, why do you persecute me? He wasn't, he was persecuting Christians. Jesus said, that's me. He takes it personally. So just making that point. And there'll be a time when people that do that, that God will raise up a leader or leaders who He will use as His instruments for justice. But today, I just want you, God the Father wants you, Jesus and the Holy Spirit want you to know and to believe that they love you, that He loves you.

He wants you to rest in the love that He has for you. He wants you to believe His promises regarding you are true and that they are for you and that He doesn't want you to let doubt and fear and unbelief to hinder you from living the abundant life that Jesus died to provide you with. And you you must do everything necessary to enter and remain in the rest that Jesus died to provide you with. He wants that for you so much. Because from a place of peace and rest and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ is where all the blessings flow.
