You know, I think all the time, Lord, we need we really need that building that we're believing for so we can do all the things that we want to do and have a place for the children and and all that. And then you see these things happen around the body of Christ. You know, all these crazy things where you know pastor just can't be everywhere in every room all the time. Weird things happen, and if that ever happened on my watch, don't tell them what I do. I have to pray a lot and know that. So it makes me think, well, I kind of like the old ways where people just brought their kids and settled them down next to them in the church, and there was just one church house anyway. Yeah. But we do need to, we want to we want to grow and be able to do all the things. But we're gonna have to have faithful people that uh want to be a part of that. You know, it's not all about the pastor. I'm just the driver of the bus. Everybody's got a seat on it and a part to play. And uh all of us that are almost starting to begin the second half of our life, we need to get those younger ones that want to come and do all this stuff, amen. Find purpose and serving. Yeah. But God will do it. He's faithful.

Thank you, Lord. I I'm just uh reflecting, trying to. I used to hear preachers say, I'm just waiting on my help, you know, waiting for the anointing for the for God to kick in. But he rebuked me over that one time. He said, I'm I'm always here. That's not me, that's you. I'll tell you a funny thing, we it started. I heard uh I started to the gym this morning and I couldn't find my membership card. He said a new membership card cost ten dollars. A donut and coffee were just five dollars. Guess who saved five bucks? Oh, how are we? Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for this wonderful day that you've given us to come together, your children, to come and grow with the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank you that you are good, good Father. And that in Christ Jesus we have been granted righteousness because of him. All of your grace is in our accounts because of Jesus' sacrifice for us and his redeeming blood for us, and we are empowered to take back everything that the enemy stole. So today help us to grow in this. Thank you for the manna from heaven, the seed of the word of God. Let it take root and bear fruit in our lives, and to all those who appear in other places at other times. In Jesus' name, amen. Speaking of, I just have uh been mindful and reminded to always welcome all of you who hear and listen to or watch these messages by any other means. They're out there in all sorts of uh different media platforms, social media, YouTube, and podcasts, and things I don't even know about that I saw that uh the messages are on, so that's really cool. This is a technological age of advancement, and so God bless you. And I just want to mention those of you and a few of the countries that I've noticed and have watched, and uh India has been big, and uh Japan, Lord knows you need to be disciple in Japan. If someone is just listening there, and someone is, but take this word, share it. I didn't realize until recently that how much of an overwhelming tiny fraction of the people there are Christian. I did not know that the church was that small there. I pray to God that it is much larger in the underground church, but it doesn't have to be underground there, so I don't know. But God bless you in Japan, in Brazil, thank you for listening. Russia, I have seen you. And in the in England, the United Kingdom, in Spain, Canada, France, God, Indonesia, India, Ireland, thank you, Germany, uh, the Philippines, uh, just the name of you, but thank you. I just want you to know I pray for everyone who is not only here, but everyone who will ever hear these messages or any portion of these messages. The blessing, the word of God, the anointing of God knows no time constraints, no limitations from distance. So we love you and we're praying for the entire body of Christ and all those who are seeking, who want to know the real Jesus, and just maybe have been disillusioned by religion or or some crazy doctrine, or maybe you grow up just being told you are no good. And I want to tell you that Jesus says you are. God created you for something wonderful, and uh I hope you lay hold of those plants by listening to these messages. If you need a church, don't have one. We're right here in Cypress Tex, and we'd love to have you. God bless you wherever you are. And all of you here, thank you. It is just uh my extreme pleasure to see your faces, to worship with you, and to you, I'm humbled that you would come to this humble setting and uh and hear the word of God and worship with us. God bless you all. I believe that we are living in the most amazing time in human history. And I know that's an old statement with everything that's transpired in human history, but they called it the last days when they were writing the New Testament. If it was the last days then, it's really the last of the last days then. Amen. Amen. I believe we have entered into third grade awakening. Time is short, and not trying to scare anyone. But the church is in a time of real refreshing. We are blessed in this nation, especially, and we should be thankful for that. We shouldn't sit on our hands and just relax, but we should use it as an opportunity to help expand and grow the kingdom of God. It's a time of revelation and revival. And the world is experiencing an awakening to the true and living God. Um, I talked recently that in Iran, what I call Persia, because I believe it'll come back to the place where Persia was at one time when Persia was a friend of God and did great things, and all those people are, but the the church growth in the world is greatest right now in that country in Iran. It's underground. They have to hide in meaning secrecy, and they have to have a birthday case there in case the spies large in on them from Islam and uh and kill them. But they're doing it anyway. The church is always prospered in greatest uh under greatest persecution. And uh, so we pray for the church at large worldwide. It's the same in China, they have to meet underground. Sometimes they can't, you know, they can't use social media, they can't do any of that. They're looking at everything. So these are places where the Holy Spirit is so powerful in these groups that they just pray. They don't even tell each other in case someone's captured and tortured. They pray before they go to church or to meet the others that Sunday morning or whenever they meet, and the Lord tells them where to go. I can point you to people that can give you the testimonies and share the stories about these supernatural things. So think how blessed we are. Amen. I was uh I think about Lord, we we need a bigger place, we need a place of our own. I got I pulled out an H E B from my parking lot uh space uh the other day, and uh and uh and then another guy, I was about to go forward, and another guy pulls out pretty quick in his big truck at it. And uh and uh I said, well, that's okay. I just got his driver's license. He didn't want to claim it on his commercial interest. I said, I understand that, and I trust you, I'm just gonna do this. And I know that's not the smart way to do it, but I called him the next day. I said, I just had a special feeling, you know. And he said, and uh turns out he was a pastor. He'd been on a mission for 10 years and he started a home church here, and he got, you know, something he said, Oh, where do you leave? And I told him here, and he goes, Oh, I often wondered if that place was available, you see. So, well, we're we look around and we're like, man, I wish we had a bigger, better place. And there are other people wishing they could just move into here. So praise God. Amen. Thank you. But we're born for such a time as this. No matter who we are, where we are, what part of the body of Christ is one body, many parts. Amen. Different parts to play. But Jesus is coming soon, and those who who know what this means should have great excitement, you know, and anticipation at the coming of the Lord, but also a feeling of strong resolve in our hearts to be a part of helping everyone that we know or meet to know Jesus. Amen. Because we want them with us in heaven. Amen. I was talking to a young man, well, he's in his 30s, mid-30s, I guess. But he's uh a good friend. He's seen he's seen terrible things, many tours in real war, and you know, seen some bad things. And and uh the last few years he's gone from a place, well, don't worry about me. Just pray for my family. Too late for me, that sort of attitude, to actually ask him, is it possible for me to be to actually be saved after everything I've done? I'm like, absolutely. So what an amazing breakthrough. And that's what it's all about, right there. That was just yesterday. So I'm very thankful. And I would have I refuse to give up on anybody that I know. I want to make sure everybody agrees to meet me in heaven. Oh, it's gonna be wonderful. Be with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Technology. Okay, well, technology and knowledge are increasing at the speed of light in the times we live in. And people are they're so busy at the end of the day with not only the technology, but just there's just so much. So much. I don't even think I have to expound on that. You know what I mean. There's just so much. People running around and they are chasing after the things of the world, just as they always have. Nothing new there. But you believers, all you have to do is believe. You know that. Jesus said, seek you first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things. What things? All the things the world is running and seeking and fighting and snatching and grabbing for, and lying and cheating for. He says, you don't even have to sweat it. Not that we don't work, work is a blessing. You know? We want to do good, we want to prosper. God wants us to prosper. God is the one who gives you the ability to obtain wealth. He gives you wonderful ideas and the strength to do the work that he gives you to do. But it's supposed to be a blessing. Not a fight and a struggle and a clawing and scratching. Get what you can, can all you get, and sit on you can. Yeah. All we have to do is believe. So that's what I want to talk about today. The simplicity of the gospel and believing in Jesus. In John, the sixth chapter, which is so powerful. Those uh those few chapters right in there, well, I say that about every part of the Bible I know. That's why I try not to turn me because I'll read the whole thing. But I do, I am looking at John chapter 6 right here. And I hope you'll read that, but as I talk about it, you'll be re-familiarized with it in part. But I want to read John chapter 6, verses 28 through 30. Then they inquired, talking about all the people following and surrounding him, what must we do? What must we do to perform the works of God? What must we do? What do we have to do? Jesus replied with a simple answer. Because they grew up, these were Jews he was talking to. They grew up with the law chiseled in stone. They had their answer. Right? They also knew that they couldn't do it. Some of them claimed that they could. Some of them claimed, a guy explained to him that he had always done that from his whole life. And then Jesus pointed out the lie that he had just made, right? Some of you will remember what I'm talking about later. Jesus said, the work of God is this to believe in the one he has sent. Speaking of himself, of course. Now, in this particular chapter, Jesus had just fed five thousand men, not including the women and children, with five loaves and two fish. A little boy's sack lunch. See, the people that don't have the spirit of God, they automatically either think it's a lie or they go into thinking of uh what do you call it when you the Guinness Book of World Records? What's the biggest loaf of bread I've ever seen? You take five of those, how many people could you feed? And if you caught two really big well sharks, you could cut it up. You see? No. We're talking about two little smoked fish. And this picture this. This boy got a lunch with five breadsticks from the olive garden and a can of sardines. But only two fish. Nothing more. And he prayed, gave thanks, he broke the bread, he fed the multitudes, and then they filled up twelve baskets full of left filters. Amen. Amen. Meaning to all there's spiritual meaning, types, and shadows of all that. Which I love. But these people were mostly there because of the miracles that Jesus was doing. Because of the signs and wonders. They were there because of the free buffet. Huh? I know a pastor here in town. They had like 10,000 member church, you know? But when they were just many years ago, when they they had a few thousand, but they gave away free donuts like we do. Thankfully, I don't have to buy so many. Kavani and I love doing that, but but they they gave them free donuts and they grew exponentially in the morning. So they started charging just what it cost them to buy them. I think a quarter of piece or something. And he lost 30 or 40 percent of his congregation that the next couple of weeks. You see? So nothing's changed, nothing new under the sun. You see what I'm saying? They were there following Jesus. It was like a sideshow. And I don't, I know he doesn't take offense because that's he saw their hearts, and that's what that's what it was about. He told them so. But see, he wanted them to realize the spiritual food that he was offering was of much more value. You see? He was trying to convince them of spiritual truth in this passage of scripture. I'm trying not to go over there and read the whole chapter to you. And they said, Well, show us that God's signs so we can believe. Moses gave us the man in the desert. And he said, No, he didn't. God did that. And I'm the bread from heaven. I'm the bread of life. He explained this to them in detail. And as we go all the way down past this, where he'd fed them all and all that, it gets to a very sad portion because he's, and they didn't have communion yet. Like we just had. We know what it means. We know what it is. But he did explain to them that he was the brother of life. But then he told them, I mean, I'll tell you what, if you don't eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no part in me. And his disciples came and they said, you know, this is hard teaching. You've offended some of them. And he says, You won't leave too? And in John 6, 6, 6, John 6, 66, he says, many departed and followed him no more. The spirit of Antichrist came upon them and they left. He didn't explain himself. He didn't say, no, wait, let me tell you what I'm talking about. Let me explain. In the future, you'll see, because we're going to have communion, it's going to represent my body. It's never represented. It's actually, there's nothing in the Bible that says that represents his body and his blood. It says it is. And we should see it that way. But nevertheless, they didn't know anything like that. Jesus didn't ever explain himself. He was not an apologist. And he doesn't need us to do that. All we have to do is share our testimony of what he's done for us. God will draw them to himself. And we're not the fixtures either. That's what I was telling a man last night. I'm just a witness. I'm an ambassador with delegated authority. The power of God is within me, but I'm not God. I'm a witness. To point you to the one. You don't get cleaned up to take a bath, like I told you. Just come as you are in truth. And if there's changes that need to be made, and there are with all of us, he'll do it in his way. And he's so gentle and kind and loving. So he wanted them to understand about the spiritual through the spiritual side of things. They were looking for a natural hero, a savior, a military leader, a political leader. They were getting what they really needed: a spiritual salvation. We were stuck on four. Father, Son, Holy Ghost, creation, into which entered corruption, the fallen, sin nature. Stuck on four. Nothing we could do. Then came redemption. Grace, Jesus Christ. So they were vacillated back and forth. Okay, give us food, give us stuff to provide for our flesh. And then they flip. Okay, if you want to talk about God, then tell us what we must do. Tell us how to be good enough, to be accepted, to earn his favor. And Jesus said, the most important work is to believe in him, in Jesus. Stop focusing on human efforts. In me you find divine mercy and grace. This is where you put your trust, your faith. Jesus was saying, I am from above, from heaven, the reality where I created this temporary place and your temporary bodies. And I want you to focus on the spiritual, eternal truth that I have for you. And I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one will come to the Father but by me. No one will get to the Father without me. I'm the door. God is so holy and so righteous that without Jesus, you will never even be allowed in God's Father's presence, you see. But he was saying, I'm here to provide that free gift of righteousness and justification and peace with God. But you must place your trust in me. Hebrews 11:6 says, but without faith it's impossible to please God. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is. And then there's a comma. You see, that's not the end of the scripture. Because James says, the devil, you believe there's one God? Good. It's the most sarcastic scripture in all of the Bible. You believe there's one God? Good. So does the devil. And he trembles. The devil's not saved. He knows who Jesus is. His demons were terrified when Jesus walked up to someone who they were harassing in his earthly ministry, weren't they? What do you want with us, Jesus? Without faith, it's impossible to please God because you must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. You not only need to believe that He is, but you must know in your heart that when you seek Him, you will find Him, and what you're going to find is good and good for you, and He only wants good for you and is a rewarder of those who have sought Him. Because it wasn't you that really went looking for Him. It was Him drawing you to Himself. And that faith response is entitles you, if for lack of a better word, to a wonderful reward from God.

So you don't just go get a don't don't just go out and take scalps. See how many you get to say a prayer? Andrew was in a meeting one time in uh over in England or Ireland or somewhere. And a preacher was, he he he he started getting to pray a prayer of salvation at the end, and he told this this woman, he said, just say this prayer after me. He got to the parts uh about I believe that God raised you from the dead, and she said, Well, I don't believe that. And he said, Well, that's okay, just say it anyway. And Andrew went over there and he said, Whoa, whoa, wait a minute. No, that's not how it works. Oh man. God is so patient with us. Amen. But true discipleship, or being a dedicated follower of Jesus, involves a personal relationship with Jesus and with the Father. Where there's trust and belief in his identity and his mission. Amen. The essence of the good news of Jesus, that's what the gospel is. The gospel is used in the New Covenant, the New Testament, which was in Greek originally, and that word gospel was a word that was very seldom used. And if it was literally translated in English, it would mean the almost too good to be true news.

So I can tell you, turn or burn. Repent, or you're gonna go to hell. You know that's true, but it's not the gospel. People have changed the gospel for the word truth. That's the gospel. In other words, I'm telling you the truth. That's not what gospel means. This whole Bible is true. Not all of it is very edifying. The good news, the gospel is what Jesus has done for us. The grace he provided, and all we have to do is offer a faith response. The essence of the good news is found in its simplicity, like I said in the beginning. The message of the gospel was simple, simple, simple, but profound. Now I have known lots of ministers that dislike the profound part. They wanted to get you in there, and they give themselves a title of some kind that elevates them very high. I gotta be careful not to be critical. But then they've been to cemetery, so seminary, so they make it so complicated, and then they tell you, well, you need me to help you understand, you see. Or someone like me. Speaking of them, not me. I can talk to all of them about all of those things. And sometimes I get I get so sorry for them that they're so confused in their education that they've lost track of a relationship with the true and living God.

And they're not helping God's children to have one either. And Jesus hated that too. I'm going to tell you now. I'll just leave that at that. I don't know if that was for somebody online. If you're sitting somewhere and you're being taught, but you don't understand it, and they don't make you feel like you're supposed to be able to understand it without them, and you don't feel like you're growing in a true relationship with Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and your Father in heaven, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, then you need to ask God to get you the truth. That's all I'm saying. He's faithful to do that. I don't care where you are, how you were brought up, what setting you're in, what religion, what religious denomination, and what anything else. If you really want the truth, my cry was I just want the real you. There's a church on every corner, they all disagree. What am I supposed to say? Who am I supposed to believe? You'll have to teach me if you want me to do this. And he said, Okay. I'm going to stand before God and answer to that. Because I told you that. And I'm telling you, that's that happened. And he'll do the same for you. He's no respecter of persons. There is no one greater than anyone else. Without Jesus, we are all condemned sinners. I don't care if you're the best sinner who ever went to hell. Without Jesus, you will. I don't care if you're the biggest philanthropist the world has ever known. I'm thinking of one now that I pray for often, and I think he's awesome, and he's contributing so much to technology and to the these times in which we live, and even to our nation. And he came out recently and said, I agree with the teachings of Jesus. That's not enough. He's not one of your contemporary scholar fellows. You see what I mean? He's God. You're not. Humble yourself and receive him as your Lord and Savior. Otherwise, you're just like the devil. You believe who he is and you tremble, maybe, but if you haven't surrendered your life to him, you don't belong to him. If you do, then nobody can take you from him. Well, I'm getting so far off today. I must be talking to somebody. I hope it's received correctly and well. Because you know the Holy Spirit's ministry to his children, to God's children, is positive. It's edifying, uplifting. Even if it's corrective in nature, it's because he loves us. And he has something better. Like we holding something behind our back. He says, if you'll give me that, I have something way better for you. You know? But I can't put that in your hand until you release another thing that's in your hand. And a lot of times it's a stronghold here. A way of thinking that we need to just say, Lord, if that doesn't line up with you and your will and your way and your word, then it might take me some time, but I need you to help me to fix that. All I want is what you want, what you want for me, because I know that you're good. He's accessible to everyone. Jesus said. Regardless of your background, your status, put your trust in Jesus Christ. Trust him with your life, your eternal destiny. Call upon him in truth, and he will answer. The people in John chapter 6, they were all about signs and miracles, and those things are wonderful. I'm not trying to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Those things are wonderful. Often say to people, just to provoke you to thought, is that a miracle is not God's best. It certainly is if you need one, though, isn't it, Marco? When we need one, that's wonderful. So thank God that He's loving and compassionate. But he doesn't want it. What does a miracle require? A crisis. God doesn't want us living from crisis to crisis, although this is a fallen world, and good things, bad things happen to good people and so forth and so on. But he would much rather us live the blessed life that Jesus, the abundant life, the blessed life that Jesus died to provide us with. To be prosperous and healthy and whole and have wonderful families and relationships and everything, be blessed and have his stamp on it. We walk around all day, every day, saying the blessing of the Lord is upon me, the favor of the Lord surrounds me, and wonderful things are happening to me and through me and for me, and my family, and everyone I meet today in Jesus' name. And believe it.

So no criticism there. We should all have a book of dreams. And if we need miracles, even those. And those dreams should be bigger than anything we can do. In the natural, in our own strength, and our own resources, because then God can say, now, just like he did with Gideon, your army's too big. Well, we're already outnumbered, like three to one. We're way too big. Get rid of a bunch of them. From what, 10,000, 30,000, 10,000, down to all the way down to 300. Now you'll take on this huge army. That way you won't try to take the glory. You'll know that it was me. That's how God wants us to live our lives. Hallelujah.

Because in truth, we don't have the ability and the strength to walk across this floor without him. Yes, amen. So God is loving, compassionate, miracles, healing, wonderful acts of God can point Jesus, they're only good for us, but they can point other people to Jesus. And that's the real reason. I mean, Jesus did just because that's who he is. He said, I only do what I see my Father do. And in Acts 10, 38, it says Jesus was anointed with, God anointed him with power and with the Holy Ghost. And he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil. So Jesus said, You see me, you've seen the Father. So we know the will of the Father. The leper said, If you're willing, you can make me clean. He said, I'm willing, be clean. He reached out and touched him, which was illegal for starters. And he was healed. Now we don't have to say, if you're willing, you can make he already showed us. Because it says he's the same yesterday, today, and forever. If he did it for one, he'll do it for you.

Hallelujah. But we can use those things to show people God's divine nature. But they're not the end goal. Faith in Jesus, in his word, in his identity and mission and kingdom is the ultimate purpose for all of us. For everyone born. And truly knowing him, Jesus, and the Father, is our true purpose in life. Jesus said it in John 17, 3, this is the very meaning of eternal life. He was praying and he said, Father, this is eternal life, that they know you, the one true God and your Son, Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. Hallelujah. And this is where we find true peace and purpose and love and hope and the gift is for everyone, not just for some. It's God's will that none should perish, but that they should be told that they must hear about him. Some need to hear your testimony. As simple as it may be. You have a sphere of influence that I will never have. They may have never heard of Billy Graham, or they don't know who Andrew Womick is or any of the great generals of the faith, but they know who you are. And when you see that they have a need and the Lord puts it in your heart, don't hesitate to just say, listen. I'm not a preacher, I'm not a biblical scholar, but I can tell you this Jesus Christ will fix all your problems. And you'll be with him forever. That's a sermon right there that someone will never forget. And you know what happened? You'll walk away feeling so inadequate, like, I don't know if that was what I was supposed to say, that, how it came across. It was a seed from God, and they'll walk around the corner or drive to the store, and someone else will come up, God will send them and they'll water that seed. And then they'll go two days later, and God will send someone else, and he'll say something very similar, and they'll go, What is going on? That's how God does it. So just do your little part and trust God. Amen.

I know I was lost and without hope in this world until I met Jesus. And I'm never gonna get over getting saved. The Son of God, my Savior, my king, my brother, my friend, my shepherd, the good shepherd. You know, I've told the story before about the bummer lambs and having raised cattle most of my life. You know, I've seen where a mother, especially a lot of times when it's their first calf, they'll reject the calf. And a lot of times we would keep a nurse cow that would take them, you know. I digress. Right now I'm talking about a sheep. I talked to you before about what they call a bummer lamb. I don't know if you know what I'm talking about. Once in a while, a lamb, a yew. The female will have a baby and and kick it away. It'll have nothing to do with it. And if you try to try to put it back to her, she'll kick it. She'll be mean to it. She'll just reject it. And so the shepherd, he will intervene. He'll come and he'll take that, he'll take that lamb into his own home.

Put it by the fire, he'll warm it up with blankets and care for it. And at least once a day, he'll pick it up and he'll hold it close to it and he'll he'll cuddle and he'll speak to it. And when it's strong enough, he'll put it back with the flock. And then after that, when he comes out to the pasture, those bummer lambs, those rejected lambs are the first ones to run the fastest to get to that shepherd. Isn't that something? Because they know his voice. They've experienced his love, his voice is known to them. They trust him the most. Does it mean that the Lord, our good shepherd, loves his rejected lambs more than the rest? No. Not at all. I already told you, he's no respecter of person. It doesn't mean he doesn't respect us, it just means he doesn't love one more than the other. We like to give ourselves titles and ranks and positions of authority and to be admired. God is not into that.

The higher you go in this world, the more of a servant you become, you see. That's how he sees it, that's how it should be. And those of us who have experienced that would never, ever get too far from here. Because we love him, because he first loved us. Now our hope is in him. Our trust is in him. Our attitude as his beloved children is one of childlike faith. It doesn't mean we're childish. It just means we maintain a childlike faith with him, an attitude that we just run to him because we're happy to hear his voice. You know? No matter what's going on in our lives, we just we believe he loves us. We believe he only has good for us. We believe he can handle all of our problems. We believe he will handle all of our problems. And we just learn to rest in that. That's why the Bible says struggle to enter that rest that He's provided. That seems strange. Because it is hard to get ourselves into that place of rest that has already been made available for us. You know what I mean? It's not easy, but it gets easier the more we do it. You see, he's faithful. But sometimes our memories are very short. That's why I tell people to journal, put your prayers down and then look at them a couple years later, and you go, every one of them he answers. You see, every time he does something in your life, he comes through for you, it's just he's establishing a track record of faithfulness, and that should strengthen our faith muscles, you see. So, and I'm just finishing here. I just wanted to give this just a little simple message today, just to show you how simple it really is. I know that I've known to get up and use 80, 90 scriptures. And that's all good because you know why? It's like I'm just spitting watermelon seeds, you know what I mean? Sowing seed and whether you it's going in. But I also want you to always remember it's not supposed to be confusing. God is not a god of confusion. So when we lay down at night, we always talk about there are ministers in the body of Christ that God has placed in the body to come and work miracles and has gifts of healings and signs and wonders, and those things are wonderful in their place. If it weren't for those guys, half the Christians would be dead. I say that, never mind. But my mission is to make you strong at midnight, I call. There's no one else around, no other preacher. You can't get them on the phone. And I want you to know who you are and what you have in Christ. There's not a single Christian in the world that has any more of God in them, any more of the kingdom of God in them than you do. We have all been given the measure of faith. Now, if we've strengthened it or let it atrophy, that's up to us. That's just the truth. Yes. A lot of people like to wait until their house is getting broken into to say, hold on a second, let me go down to the gym and work out, and I'm going to get strong and ready for you. Too late.

So you're laying there, and I'm talking from experience. As I generally do. Make myself very vulnerable. You're laying there, and all the things that could go wrong start going through your mind. You have to learn to get to a place where you can shut off the noise of the world.

And sometimes, mostly that noise is right between our ears. Right? The worries, the fears, the doubts, the anger. Shut off that noise. And I always tell people, you don't shut it off by trying to. You can't do that. I can't tell you. Think of a bright, beautiful banana. Yellow banana. Stop thinking about that banana. Don't think about that beautiful yellow banana. That doesn't help you to stop thinking about that banana. You know what you do? You replace it with something else. Think of the banana. Now, I don't want you to think about the banana. Think about a beautiful red, bright, shiny, honey crisp apple. Just plucking it from the tree. See, your mind went from the banana. Now you can see the apple. See, it's replacement therapy. So you replace all those doubts and fears and worries and anger and resentment with the promises and the word of God. Shut the noise off. Enter into his presence. It's always available to you if you belong to him. When you can disassociate from the noise of this world, you can position yourselves to always hear God's voice, like I was telling you before, and experience his peace and his love. Because in him, in Christ, we've changed spiritual addresses, as it were. We have passed from death to life already. You see what I'm saying? Oh death, you've lost your sting. And when we don't hear God, it's not because he's left us, but because we took our eyes off of him. The same reason Peter started sinking when he was walking on the water. Took his eyes off of Jesus. And spiritually speaking, it's the same with us in our thought life, in our personal life. If we can't hear the promises and the voice of God and the word of God and the blessings of God, if we don't have the peace of God, it's because our hearts have been temporarily hardened due to the cares of this life. I said temporarily, because there's something we can do about it. Knowing that, we can just get right back into his presence. When we realize there's nothing he can't do, there's nothing he won't do for us, and why do I need to worry about it then? Because one thing that is repeated more times than any other, one for every day of the year, 365 times I'm told, is do not fear, do not worry. I know it's easier said than done, but the point is, I'm telling you how we cannot worry because he's got it. And we need to remember the track record of faithfulness he has in our life to help us to be strengthened in our faith. So we can get better at it, to be strengthened in that. We don't need to worry because why should I, when he says, cast my cares upon him? Because he cares for you. And then the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. What a wonderful promise. Is it just words on the page, or are we going to try and make that a part of who we are and what we practice? I'm going to rise when I left the dock. You got to move in that direction, guys. As long as your boat is tied to the dock, you can turn the wheel all you want. It ain't going to change the course of that ship. You got to get going. Head in his direction. He'll meet you. And greet you. Open the door as he stands and knocks, and he wants to come and sit down and eat. Hang out with you. Talk to you. Share his truth, his love, his peace, his word with you. Amen. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Yes? So we can get the word and the promises of God rooted so deeply in us that out of the abundance of our hearts, then what happens? The mouth speaks. Everything I've said today is scriptural. Look it up. I just haven't bombarded you with so many scripture references. Yes, amen. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. After this word takes root and bears fruit. So now, at midnight, and you know what I'm talking about, you've silenced the world on purpose. Okay? You've gotten to that point. You've turned your focus to the good shepherd, to Jesus, and to begin to hear his loving voice, his promises, his laughter, his singing over you. Again, all scriptural. Look it up. Then, just like Paul and Silas in Acts chapter 16, verses 25 through 34. When they were in prison at midnight, shackled, beaten, the bottom of that dark prison. Other prisoners in cells all around them. They didn't start complaining, start talking about their pains, their worries, their woes, their fears. God, we were just preaching in your name, Jesus, and now look what's done. They didn't say that. They were praying and singing praises unto God. And what happened? The chains fell off. All the prison doors were opened. Almost to the point where the Romans in Church and he was responsible with his life, he would be killed if they got away. He started, he drew his sword to kill himself. And they said, Stop! We're all here. The anointing was so strong and powerful that even though all the chains fell off and all the prison doors were open, nobody left. What was the result of that? The Roman centurion, God, and his entire family were saved that night.

Don't worry about everybody else. Wow, you're really beginning to make confessions of faith, you see, because it's real and it's coming from your heart, and you're just in a place of peace where you experience his love, his peace, you're trusting him, and you're just reminding him that you know he's good and he's not responsible for this fallen world and the bad things. But he's the source of every good and perfect gift comes down from above, from the Father of lights, in whom there's no variation or shadow of turning. Peace I give to you, says Jesus. My peace do I give unto you. Not as the world gives, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let them be afraid. So now the mountains that confront you, they begin to move, you see. Because now you're just in his presence. You're just in his presence. And you're just spanking him and glorifying him. Without you even knowing, without you even focusing on anything that confronts you or any problems anymore. You've just given it all to him, and now you're just fellowshiping with him. And while you're doing that, he's breaking all those chains. He's making all those crooked places straight. He's setting everything up for tomorrow so all the crooked places are straight, and he's going to give you great ideas. He's going to take the little time you didn't think you had, and he's going to make it where you have free time. Everything's going to fall into place.

And you lay hold of it. Your faith is the hand that reaches out and lays hold of the things provided by grace. So when you get to a place of peace, which should be the umpire in your life, this is when you can receive. This is when you can really get things done because he's getting it done now. You've relinquished your illusion of control, which is what worry and fear and all those things are. And you're letting him do what he does, which is take care of you and the things that you are concerned about.
