Identity Christ’s
Identity Christ’s helps people discover who they are in Christ and live from the inheritance, purpose, and authority God intended from the beginning. Because you aren’t random. You are royalty.

You Are Here! Pt. 1 - What If Your Identity Problem Is A Location Problem?
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything “right” but still don’t know who you are, we think the problem might be location, not effort. We start with a simple idea that hits hard: the mind is amazing hardware, but it can run broken software. That’s why we talk about mind renewal as mind renovation, replacing old programming like fear, performance, and orphan thinking with the truth of your identity in Christ.
From there, we zoom out to Scripture as the recorded story of God revealing Himself to different generations in different ways, then zoom back in on the name that matters most: Father. We unpack the “You are here” moment and why spiritual growth starts with honest self-location. You’ll hear us draw a sharp line between destinations and destiny, and why becoming isn’t pretending to be someone new, it’s uncovering who you were meant to be. We also challenge a popular interpretation of “many mansions,” reframing it as many realms of access to God through grace and the Holy Spirit rather than a future construction project in heaven.
Then we get practical and personal: guarding the heart like a garden, watching for fruit instead of hiding behind leaves, and recognizing how words reveal what’s planted inside. We connect today’s identity crisis, information overload, and even our obsession with labels to a deeper hunger for “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” To tie it all together, we use a modern metaphor you already trust: GPS. Prayer works like a God Positioning System, but it only helps if we follow the directions and let Him recalibrate our steps when we miss a turn.

Welcome And The Identity Message
SPEAKER_00Welcome to Identity Crisis, where we're dedicated to awakening people to the identity, inheritance, and purpose that belong to every believer in Christ. Here we renew minds, restore truth, and awaken sons and daughters to the reality that they are not orphans striving for acceptance, but heirs invited into the fullness of God's kingdom. And remember, you're not random, you're royalty. All right, family, welcome to Identity Crisis. I'm your host, John McCarn, and we are going to get into some uh really good things here today uh regarding our identity, who we are in Christ, what that means, and how that should affect the way that we think going forward. Uh, this is really dedicated to mind renewing, or what I like to call mind renovation. I like that term, mind renovation, because it it lets you know that our mind itself is a beautiful thing. So renewing or changing our minds does not mean that we need it to function any differently than it already does. It functions perfectly. The mind works beautifully. The hardware is wired in such a way that it is flawless in its performance. The problem has been the software that's been uh operating the system. You know, we understand that great in our day and age today because we understand that perfectly in our day and age because this is what is around us, the technology operating systems and streaming information and all of the technology that we have access to today, it is really a mirror of the access that we have and the spiritual technology that is being released to us in our generation.
Mind Renovation And Better Software
SPEAKER_00And uh we can clearly track this back. You know, if people say, Well, John, how are you just linking that automatically to a spiritual understanding? Well, we can see all through when we read the scriptures, uh, the Bible, which simply means the book, it's just a book of recorded history of God interacting with people, you know, particularly uh people that he set aside uh to reveal himself to in a very uh dynamic way. And uh that's what the Bible records that information. So let's take the religious thoughts out of you know our minds as it pertains to when we hear the word Bible. It just simply means the book. That's all it means. So, but when we read in the book, we see where at different times and different stages in history, where God reveals himself to a particular generation in a very specific way. Uh, he revealed himself to Abraham as, well, let's even go back further. In the beginning, when he revealed himself to Adam, it was as father, you know, as his creator, his source, you know. So it wasn't just the fact that uh father, you know, that God was his father. It was his that his father is God. And and there is a very uh unique nuance in understanding that difference between that those terms. And he revealed himself to Adam, his father, and and the instructions and the way that he was fashioning and training Adam up in the way that he should go, so that he uh as he got older and and departed, you know, and went further, uh, expanded his territory from the Garden of Eden out to different uh expanses of society, that he would take that, you know, that royalty that he was being trained in. He's he's he's learning directly from God. So he's getting that training of of what it means to be a royal son of God, and that matters, and and that's gonna that's gonna make a lot of more sense as we continue to uh talk about this in uh more detail in episodes to come. But um, so knowing that he was revealing himself to uh to Adam's father, and then you know, we all know the the story of the fall and all that would happen. And um, as God began to continue to reveal himself throughout history, and you know, he picked another person to reveal himself to as Noah, you know, uh was a person that he revealed himself to as uh the savior, you know, one who can save uh out of any situation. This God was getting ready to destroy the earth because of, you know, wickedness and evil that had uh occurred through man, you know. So all of this, this historically has been uh revealed to us, and we see that in scripture. So God saved Noah in the midst of all of that, so he could re uh begin the populating of the earth in the way that Adam was intended. And then uh different things went awry there, and he chose another man that was named Abram, and he named him Abraham, and and this man, you know, he revealed himself to him as God Almighty, or what they say in theological uh, you know, circles, El, you know, Shaddai, the all-breasted one, or the Almighty God. So that went on, and so he revealed himself that way to him and his descendants, Isaac and Jacob, his son and grandson. So they knew him that way. Moses comes a thousand years later, or a millennium later, or whatever, and he reveals himself because Moses is going to be chosen to bring God's people out of bondage, you know, Egyptian bondage. We all know the story. And he reveals himself to that generation, to Moses and his generation as Jehovah, uh, the Lord most vehement, the Lord that He He is who He is. You know, he just there's there's nothing that you can need that He cannot provide. So He tells Moses, I am that I am. You know, it's it's it's not, don't try and put me into a box. I'm ready to reveal myself in a whole new fashion and in a whole new way. So uh just whatever you need, I can supply that need. And so it's on and on. So he reveals himself in so many different ways to so many different generations. But the one true definition, the one true identification that we all should have with God is the one that Adam began with, and the one that Jesus came to reveal to us, who was considered the last Adam. And that's simply father. It's simply father. In some cultures, the word father means source. It is the one who protects, provides, you know, preserves. It's you know, it's it's it's everything, you know, he is all in all. And we are created in the image of our father, you know, the creator, and that makes us creatives, you know. So we in this in our generation is waking up heavily to that understanding. So in the process of all of this, how do we contextualize where we are
God’s Names Lead Back To Father
SPEAKER_00now? And that's what we want to talk about today in this topic, in this episode, is you are here. You are here, and that is a term that is is used when it comes to identifying your location. You know, when you go into a mall and you're going to a store, uh, you can just know the store is in the mall. You don't have to know where the store is, you don't have to know or having ever been there before. You find the directory, you know, they got them all through the mall. And when you walk up to that directory, you can find the store. They're typically in alphabetical order, and there's a map showing you how to get to that store. But the thing that you have to know first before you can begin this journey with any success is you have to find the spot on the map that shows where you are, and it says, you are here. And that map is or that directory is gonna have that that location is built where that directory is, it's built from that spot, it's built from that location in the mall. So it doesn't matter when it says you're here, anyone who's looking at that directory in that particular location, it is that's where you are. It's it's not telling you it from the perspective and taking it personal and making it very unique to you, it's just letting you know that this is where you are in based in where you're standing at this point. Now, that seems very, very remedial, you know, very fundamental uh to talk about that from this perspective, but it is very significant. Typically, the most simplistic things are the most important things, and understanding that it's a location is gonna it's gonna mean everything. This is the location of where I am at this moment to be able to get to this destination, and most individuals do not understand where they are as it pertains to where they are destined to be.
Destination Versus Destiny And Becoming
SPEAKER_00Now, I'm gonna take all the guesswork out of the destiny of each one of our lives. There's there's difference, there's a difference between a destination and a destiny. A destination is a place that you're going. And we got many, we go to many destinations throughout the day. Um even walking from your bedroom to the bathroom is a destination. Your bathroom is the destination that you're going, or from there to the kitchen, or live, whatever, you know. It's all multiple destinations, but a destiny has to do fully with who you are intended to be. It is your becoming. And becoming does not mean that you're turning into something different than you are, it just means that you are evolving into that, into that place. So one of the most challenging things that we ever experience in our lives is really understanding fully who we are and becoming totally self-aware. And that is something that many people never get an opportunity to experience. It's becoming fully self-aware of who you are and self-recognition. That's not selfishness. That is, don't confuse that with selfishness, is becoming who you have always been. It's it's an uncovering, it's an unveiling, it's a revealing. And literally, we're taught according to the scriptures that that is what all creation is waiting for. The manifestation, the manifestation, the unveiling, the revealing of the sons of God. They've seen it once in Adam, they saw it again in Jesus, and they're waiting to see it again in us. And they're getting glimpses of it, but uh Paul teaches that we even us groan within ourselves waiting for this, for us to be manifested fully as sons of God, and that is a very uh challenging journey. Um, but it is not one that cannot be attained. And but if you don't know that it is your responsibility to attain that, then then you're off from go. You're off from go. And most people who have already, you know, as as we would say, come to Christ or placed our faith in Jesus Christ, uh, somehow believe that that's that's Jesus' job to get us to that point, and that we're just wandering around and waiting for him until he finally returns to uh give us that full self uh understanding and revelation of who we are. And that's that's just not not a fact. If you're waiting for that, you're gonna keep waiting for that, as every generation that has adopted that mindset is so doing. So getting back to understanding where we are, that you are here, it again has to do with that directory where it is based on that particular location of you standing right in front
Many Mansions Means Many Realms
SPEAKER_00of it. Uh, one of the things that Jesus said uh when he was talking to his disciples, he said, In my father's house, there are many mansions. And, you know, again, you know, us this on the western hemisphere, and we're learning and we learn and interpret everything through our westernized understanding, is when we hear the word mansions, we think a bunch of big houses, you know. So, you know, we think that, you know, in my father's house, there are a lot of big houses. You know, there in his big old giant house, there are a lot of big houses within his house. And and we're all gonna go to heaven and have a mansion one day. And some of our mansions are gonna be bigger than other people's mansions, and that's gonna be based on the works and the things that we did in this life that you know are gonna translate over as if there are just angels up there looking at everything that you're doing, and and the good stuff they're gonna build bricks and and and and stone and gonna decorate it out for you based on how good you lived here on earth. And and whether, you know, it's it's laughable when you think about it when we actually sit here and talk about it. But it's um it's it's amazing how uh that mind meld has taken place generationally, uh, and we just kind of adopt it. It's kind of a program that's running underneath, you know, all the time for those who you know have been indoctrinated into that. And but when you sit here and talk about it, have a discussion, you can see how um uh laughable that really is. Uh, there's no building project going on in heaven for you, for your house and your mansion. You know, when Jesus made that statement, uh the people that he was talking to fully understood what he meant. And that meant that there are many rooms, there are many states of dwelling, there are many uh realms, there are many uh different, you know, opportunities for us to experience the Father in a multiplicity, um in a multiplicity of ways. And he says, and I'm going to prepare a place for you. I'm going to prepare that place that you can have that same access to all these many aspects of the of the God who revealed himself as I am that I am, meaning I can be whatever you need in your time of need. This is what grace is. He is the God of grace. He sits on the throne of grace, he gives us the spirit of grace, who is Holy Spirit. So Jesus said, I'm going to prepare that place for you, that that you can be engraced with this reality through the person of Holy Spirit, of which He said, It's better for you that I leave, because if I don't, he can't come. So you won't have that same experience that that you see me experiencing. So it is absolutely a reality of being able to self-locate, to know who you are. And if you don't know who you are, then how will you know where to go? You know, or you know, or should I, I'm sorry, if you don't know where you are, how can you know where to go? And and his disciples even said that. They was like, Well, Lord, um, you know, if if you're leaving, you know, I mean, and you're gonna go, how how will we be able to find the way, you know, to get there? And he said, I am the way, I'm the truth, I'm the life. No man comes to the father except by me. So what was he saying? The father, knowing the father, is gonna be the true reality of you coming to fully understand your identity. I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life. What is he saying? I'm the son, I'm the picture of the son, of who God has destined each and every one of us to be. Not just Jesus wasn't just he wasn't excluding himself from that conversation. He he had to learn that. He it said he learned obedience through the things he suffered, through, through coming and growing up in this life. Jesus had moments where he had uh strayed off of understanding who he was through the lack of having wisdom at that time. We saw him uh when he was 12 and he went to the temple and he began to uh interact with the the temple leaders and the Pharisees and Sadducees, all these different sects of people who understood the scripture because Jesus knew he was called to ministry, to serve the people. And in their day uh and in their culture, you know, and he knew he was a very spiritual man. This is what you're gonna do. You're gonna you go to the temple, that's where you learn, that's where you serve the people. And that is not what the father had for Jesus. Yes, he was gonna serve. Yes, he said, I came to minister and not to be ministered to. So he knew at a very early age of him being called to minister to mankind, uh, but or to his people, but he did not really understand fully of what capacity that was going to be in. So he was just following the cultural norm. He went to the temple at 12. That's what that's what young Jewish boys did when they were knew they were called to ministry, like Samuel, when you read about his life, when you're called to ministry uh at 12, when you have your transformation from from boyhood to manhood, bar mitzvah, um, this is this is time for you to step into your calling. And that's what he thought it was he was doing. And that's why he said, Didn't you know I'd be up when his parents found him in the temple and you know that whole story? He said, Didn't you know I'd be about my father's business? I must be about his business. This is what we do. And they took and they took him home, and they said that and the scripture tells us that Jesus was subject to his parents. And we don't hear much from Jesus again for for like 18 years, but it does say that during this time. What we do know is he was growing in wisdom and stature and favor with God and with men. So that note we just know he was growing, learning, he was becoming more wise. So Jesus had to learn just like any of us does. And this is and this is the person who had no sin. So just because you're sinless or have no sin doesn't mean you know everything. So Jesus had to learn. He had to grow in that. And so for him to make that full, um, that full, you know, trek to where he's one day talking to his own disciples of where one day he thought he was supposed to be a disciple, going to the temple and learning and expounding with them, he now has his own, you know, people that he was called to raise up and disciple. And he's telling them one day, I'm the way, I'm the truth, I'm the life, I'm the son, and no man can come into a relationship with the Father unless he comes the way that I'm telling him or I'm teaching him to come. You can come up with all these different religions and you can reach for God, but you can't, you won't ever be able to get to him except by me. And I'm the one that's gonna restore order and bring everything back to the original intent and bring us back into the place of the garden of Eden, which is the place of God's desire and delight.
Guard Your Heart And Bear Real Fruit
SPEAKER_00Eden means delight, you know, so and garden is a protected and defensed place. So everything that we need is where God is, and we have to protect that. And we have to protect that. Uh our hearts are and is the garden. You know, this is why in Proverbs, Solomon teaches, guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life, the borders, the boundaries of life. You got to set boundaries and borders around your heart because that is where God inhabits, that is where the garden is, and out of it flows the life that we live. Uh Jesus says that, you know, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So I can know what's in your garden. I can know what fruit. Jesus said, You'll know them by the fruit they bear. Uh, but before you bear fruit, I'll hear the fruit. I'll know what type of fruit uh you're gonna bear by just listening to the things that you say. You know, you can't, your, your, your speech will find you out every time. It will let people know who you are. It'll let you people know really in the core of your being that this is what you stand for. You know, of course, we can we can put a lot of leaves around us, and and leaves often hide the fruit, but eventually, you know, that fruit is gonna is gonna bear itself, and those leaves ain't gonna any longer be able to hide you. Remember in the beginning when Adam fell, what was the first thing they went to try and hide themselves with? Fig leaves. You know, you know, they tried to cover themselves with leaves, and this is what we do. We cover ourselves with leaves, the leaves of our careers, the leaves of our intellect, uh, the leaves of our degrees, you know, all of these things, these things, these performances, these accomplishments that we consider ourselves to have attained, and we hide behind that. But eventually, eventually, this is why we're so enamored with people from a distance, because we see all the leaves and they're green and they're pretty and they're attractive. But one tree tried to do that with Jesus, and when Jesus came up to it because it said he was hungry, he was attracted to this tree because it had leaves, it was green, it looked like oh man, this fruit is ready. And he stepped to the tree and it had no figs, it had no fruit, and Jesus cursed the tree. Why? Because you're looking like you have fruit, you look like you're bearing fruit that you're productive, but you're just all leaves, and and that's a perversion to God's creation. You're you're you're false, you're you're perverted, and you're hiding under falsehood. And when people actually come to you, you really don't have anything of substance. And Jesus said, you know what, ain't nobody gonna ever eat from you again. You know, so from this day forward, and he left, went on about his business, but that that ended that life of that that falsehood, that tree had that faking the funk, and not really having no fruit. Nope. That ain't what because God has created us to be fruitful and to multiply and to replenish the earth with that fruit and to subdue it and dominate according to it. And when you break outside of that, you are breaking outside of the original intention and mandate of the father, and you can never be a son. So, you know, that's the an or daughter. Don't don't get tripped up on the on the gender classification, um, which is another, which is another uh sign to this generation that uh identity is really, is really being sought after. Uh it always has been, you know, but and in each generation, it manifests itself in a different way.
The Modern Identity Crisis And Christ In You
SPEAKER_00Uh, but our generation, we're seeing the collision of all things right now happening at once with so much stuff that's going on and with the reality of the technologies that we have. We have access to one another across the world. There's almost an omnipresence and an omniscience and an omnipotence that's being revealed to us through technology. And we're able to know all things, you know, that's going on, you know, and uh it's so much, it's so much we we call it information overload. And we say that, you know, none of us were meant to know this much, and and that's not true. It's information overload to our current capacity because we haven't expanded or our bandwidth, if you will, isn't hasn't been, you know, broadened to the point where we can process and take in all that information, uh, because it's got to bypass through our biases, it's got to come through our traumas, our triggers. And so it's not filtering in properly the way that it should. But when we if we could filter it plainly and purely, we could see that it's all identification problems. This this is why, you know, I I brought this podcast that we can understand the identity crisis, C-R-I-S-I-S, that we are all experiencing together. But it the remedy to it is to be able to place our identity in Christ. So it's identity crisis, C-H-R-I-S-T-S or apostrophe S or however. But this is what we are, this is what we're being drawn to because Paul told us this is what has been the mystery. This has been what we've been desiring since the foundation of the world, and it's been hidden from all of the generations till now, and it's Christ in you, the hope of glory. And in glory is what we're all desiring. Glory just simply means the apparent goodness of a thing or the apparent weight of it. So there's a glory, many things have glory. Paul talks about that in to the Corinthian church in 1 Corinthians 15. He says, There are many things that have glory. There's glory of the sun, the glory of the moon, the glory of the stars, glory of flowers, glory of animals, glory of, you know, everyone, everything has a glory. Um, but the glory that we're looking for is the glory of God, because this is the image and likeness, like image and likeness that we've been created in. And this is what we're desiring. This is the longing of the human spirit. Our our desire is to be like our father and and to function after his capacity. This is why I think of our your imagination is amazing. You can put yourself anywhere just by simply thinking and imagining, given it's an image animation machine that the father's put within us. We can imagine something and animate it simply means to give it life right from where we're sitting right now. While I'm talking to you, I'm simultaneously talking to you, and I can think about being in outer space. I can think about uh flying to you know to different galaxies and all of this stuff. And I've not went anywhere and I've not stopped my conversation from flowing. You're doing the same thing, you're listening to me and imagining something totally different from what's going on right now. You can be listening and locked into what I'm saying, and it's causing you to envision other things that seems, you know, unfathomable and miraculous. And it's really just exposing the capacity that you have, uh, but we're limited in what we can do because we have not renewed our mind to the reality of who we truly are and and our capabilities. And this is why it's so imperative to get to know who God is in order for you to fully and understand who you know who you are. And if I was someone, and and of course there's another entity that has another agenda uh that's operating, you know, behind the scenes, and uh, and they have an agenda, and then they have an agenda for us, and um, and they want to destroy us, and they don't want to see us come to uh the things that we that belong to us, you know. They they don't want to see us come into the reality of us knowing who we are, because once once that happens, they become powerless because they are actually operating according to the authority and the power that we're giving them. And um, and most of us are doing it ignorantly, but some of us are doing it intentionally, you know, and that's a whole nother conversation that we'll get to, you know, at some point uh during this podcast. Um, but not this one, this episode, but episodes to come. But it isn't it is a it is a full-on identity crisis, and our generation is experiencing it uh in such a way to where it's becoming very confusing. Um, it's no judgment to um, you know, the people that are calling themselves different gender, you know, different different genders, or don't even want to be identified as anything, you know, non-binary. Um, but they don't recognize that that is actually coming out of a true place because in Christ, which is the real um the real capability of manifesting glory, uh, the Christ in us is the hope of glory in Christ, not just in not just in Jesus, and that's a whole nother conversation. But Jesus came to reveal to us who we are, not just who he is, but who we are. He revealed himself being the son, so we can understand what it is to become sons. He came to bring many sons where to glory. And how do you get glory? Christ in you. That's the hope of glory, the expectation and manifestation of glory. And in Christ, there is no male, female, bond, free. There is no Jew, Gentile, there is no ethnicity separation in Christ, the Christ in us. And this gen this generation is longing for that, that non-gender classification where you can't, you if you if you label me, you negate me, you actually can cause me to experience a negative effect when you try to put me inside some kind of a title. This is why God wouldn't allow Moses to do it. Who shall I tell him your name is when I go to these people that you're sending me to deliver? Tell them I am that I am. You know, I all Abraham, I introduced myself as God Almighty because he needed to know that I am, that I am Almighty. And all they knew was what God could do, his, his, his power. But that is not what he has desired. He's this but he but he knew he had to go through that route to show people that I'm powerful enough to do the things that I'm telling you. I can protect you. You got to trust me. And for you to trust me, I have to show you that my power is greater than any other. And so he had to reveal himself like that. But that's not what his desire for us to know him as. His desire has always been to know me as Father. And different journeys and tricks and parts of the journey require us to understand him in different ways. Moses wrote that the secret things belong to God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever. So once we have a revelation of God, that revelation never goes. We always have that revelation, but there is more for him to reveal of himself. And that is what we're desiring. And this generation that's choosing to not be labeled and calling themselves non-binary, and the the young men or young boys calling themselves girls and girls calling themselves boys and all of this. It is really just the reaching after the true identity we have in Christ, but trying to fulfill it naturally. Trying to use your intellect. There is so much more to us that, yes, if you're a man and the masculine aspect of who you are is the more prominent and dominant manifestation of who you are or your expression and your personality, that's the dominant part of you. But all of us has a nurturing aspect to us. All of us do. Um, the women, the mothers, they have a more dominant, nurturing nature, but they still have a strength, they have a masculinity to them. It's just one is just the way that we are expressed through our own individual personalities. God will never take our personalities from us, ever, ever. But there is a way that we are to operate. There is an operating system that we have within us, and we have to learn how to operate according to it. Um, our technologies are just mere images of the access that we have in the spiritual realm. Jesus says, In my father's house, there are many realms, there are many states of existence, there are many ways to access and things that you can function according to. And our generation is understanding things in a way that no other generation ever has.
GPS Faith And Listening After Prayer
SPEAKER_00You know, there used to be a time when if you needed to get to a destination, you had to rely on people to tell you how to get there. People who either knew how or they could explain it to you because of their personal experience, or they just understood how directionally how to get there, and they have to tell it to you, and you'd have to trust their directions. Um, then we went to maps. You know, we developed maps, but then they were complicated. You had to know how to read them, you had to know how to understand latitude and longitude and all that stuff. So it took a degree to really understand maps. Then we made them more simplistic and began to do and make a lot of pictorial images on them and made it more easy to read, but they still were complicated. And then you had to have a map that can unfold, and it was for this city or for this state, or you know, it just it just the more bigger the map was, the more complicated it was. But now we're living in a generation where we have GPS, a global positioning system, where it's satellites that are surrounding orbiting the earth, and all we have to do is put in an address, and this system is so complex, it's the simplicity of what we can do, is just putting in an address or putting in a location name or something. And the GPS is based on where we are, is it's is hypothesizing and calculating where it'll give us, it'll put up things like, are you trying to get here? Try to finish it for us. And and when we finally put it in, the GPS to us is just going to the location to the address that we put in. But the system is translating the simplicity of our input, and it's behind the scenes, translating that into coordinates, latitude, longitude to give us exactly the location of where we want to go, but from where we currently are. And all that's happening under the hood, behind the scenes, almost immediately. But all we did is put in an address. But we didn't see the intricacies of what's happening. We aren't considering the satellites that's orbiting all of this that's literally focusing in on our particular location to get us to a destination. And we follow it. And then when we go and we make turns that aren't right, it'll say, I'm recalculating. It's going through all of this again to get you back to that same destination that you originally put in there, and it's gonna take you the route that you've turned and recalculate it from that place. It's always going from where you are to get you back to where you desire to be. And that is all happening behind the scenes where you don't see and don't understand all the intricacies of what's going on. Well, it's the exact same things that's happening spiritually. When you pray, you know, the GPS, the God positioning system, when you pray, when God is talking back to you or giving you unctions and letting you know, okay, based on the prayer you just told me, this is how you get there. All of these coordinates is being ran through, these different paths, these different directions to get you to this destination in the shortest way possible from where you currently are. And the more, and if you understand where you are, you can get there faster. You know, my wife always tells me because I'll go different ways from what the GPS is saying. And she's like, Why even put it in there? If you're gonna go your own way, if you're just gonna do it, then why'd you even put the calculations in there, you know, and and not listen to it? Or or she'll get to some, you know, or sometimes I'll put in calculations. She's like, Look, you you know where this is, you don't even have to stop and and do this, just just go. Just listen. So it's just based on the situation and based on where we're going. But the reality is, you know, if you're gonna pray, why pray to God? And then when He gives start orchestrating your steps to where to get you and answer your prayer, because it ain't coming the way you desire it, you're gonna go a different way. Then why pray at all if you're not gonna listen to him? You know why, why? Why? Or some things you don't gotta pray about. You already know what to do, you already know what to do, so you ain't gotta pray about. That you know, well, in all things, prayer by prayer and supplication, make your request known unto God. You know, with the I don't need to request this. Why does a man hope for what he already has? I don't know. I don't need to request this. I know where to go. I already know where it is. So uh prayer is not the only way we commune with God, you know. Relationship, you know, prayer can be something specific that you are requesting, but I'm my whole life is not based on request. My relationship with my wife is not just based on, you know, babe, can we, can I, are we, you know, I'm not looking for permission 24-7 in our relationship. You know, I'm just living, I'm just experiencing, I'm just enjoying. And we have moments of conflict, we have moments that we're not in agreement, but we have to reconcile those moments. Every moment you're not going to be in total agreement with God, you know, or he with you. And y'all have a conversation, y'all reason together. And uh, and yes, even though you're in a conversation with someone who knows everything, don't be intimidated by that because he's dealing with you according to knowledge about who you are and how he made you. And you are a child of God, you're a son, you're a daughter of God.
You Are Already A Son Or Daughter
SPEAKER_00But it has to begin with knowing that you are here, you're already at a place of sonship or daughterhood, you're already there, you're here now. Based on where you want to go, based on a desire in your heart that you have, locate where that is and know that you're already pursuing that journey or getting to that destination from a place of already realized destiny of you being a son or daughter of God. It starts from here. You are already here, you're already a son, you're already a daughter of God, and people that are not living in that reality, they're not sinners because they haven't quote unquote given their life to Christ. They're children of disobedience. That's what Paul calls them. They're rebellious children, but they're they're still God's children nonetheless. Why? Because Christ gathered us all within himself when he came here to earth and died for our sins. He reconciled us to God while we were still enemies of God and not looking for him. He said I'd be found of a people who weren't even looking for me. He gathered us all in him, just like we were once all in Adam. We're no longer that creation. We're now all in Christ. We've been born again. And as a species, not just when we quote unquote give our lives to Christ, we're all born again. But can you rebel and leave God? Of course you can, just like Adam did. That's you, your your free will, your autonomy wasn't taken away when Jesus came. It was just the system was recalibrated, rebooted, reset. And now we're all able to uh walk before God perfectly as sons and daughters, with no judgment, with no condemnation, full confident, full confidence and begin to take this journey from a place of sonship and daughterhood, right from where we are right now. And so this was just uh the the beginning, first episode. It's it's uh dropping today on is Father's Day, and let's give our Heavenly Father the gift of identification, of us knowing that we are Him, that we are His children and let Him know, Father, we see, we see my eyes are open now. I am already a son, I'm already a daughter. And now let's just begin this journey and where you would desire and I desire to go, because knowing the desires that you have, they're more than likely from God. Now they can be behind a fog, they can behind some deception and confusion and all of this, but your desire, the authentic, primal aspect of your desire is from God. And ask Him to help you clear out all of the things that are not contextual, uh, that are implying otherwise of the desire that you have, that would taint it, that would distort it, that would pervert it. And so you can get all of that cleared out, get it, get it, become spotless before him without blame or blemish, and then begin your journey authentically and embracing it fully, knowing the reality that you are not random, but you are royalty. All right, family. Love you, bless you, have an amazing day, and enjoy this Father's Day, beginning first with honoring our Heavenly Father, and then honor some Father, uh, whoever that may be, that you can bless them for being, you know, a father and having been able to honor them in a way that uh that would honor our Heavenly Father. So peace, people. Love you. Thank you for joining us for this episode of Identity Crisis.
