Hello everyone, and welcome to the Over the Fence Common Sense Podcast. My name is Vicky and I'm your host. So today I just wanted to jump on and share a few thoughts. You know, I always have a lot to say about everything. So just a short video today. Um my first question is, what's wrong with Jews? Why why do people hate them? How can you condemn an entire race of people? Doesn't make sense to me. Especially since whatever happened happened years and years ago. I mean, what has a Jew ever done to you? And to be so public about your hate for Jews it's it's shocking. It's embarrassing. You you can't just condemn an entire race of people and not expect to be called a racist. But as a white Republican, I I'm constantly labeled as a racist. Does not make sense to me. I love everyone. Until you do me wrong, I don't care what color your skin is or what your nationality is, and that's the way it should be. And I see that in our communities. Where I see the hate and the racism is in the government. They're trying to push us and divide us, and it doesn't make sense to me. People need to pay attention. I I I'm embarrassed about this. I really am. I you can't condemn an entire race of people. It's just not right. Um next topic. Mamdami versus Netanyahu.

Mamdami, you're a mayor. And you're saying that you're going to arrest a world leader when he comes to your city? I just have one question. Who the hell do you think you are? It's that simple. Do you really think you can get away with that? I think it's insane. You may have campaigned for that, but he's a world leader. You're a mayor. You're way out of your league, Zoran. I'm not a fan anyway, but this is just outrageous. Ki keep dreaming, because it's not gonna happen. I'm not even sure how that process would work. I've heard lots of people talking about it. I mean, do you do you ambush uh the Secret Service convoy that he's gonna have as city police officers, and I demand you arrest that man? Really? Let me know how that works out for you, Zoran. Because I don't I don't expect it's gonna go very well. But you keep talking about it. Next thing I want to talk about is pretty scary. It's it's socialism. It's it's getting a hold of people. And I mean, do you really know what socialism is? This is a free country, and that's what everybody loves about it. You do you, boo-boo. My famous saying, you do you. But open borders, abolish ice, no more funding for police. Really? That's not what America is. You can be free, you can make your own decisions, freedom of speech, freedom of religion. The freedoms are endless. But you don't get to change the Constitution. There will be law and order in this country. And we're not saying, me personally, I can only speak for me. I'm not saying I don't want immigrants here, I just want them to come the right way. Technically, we're all from from immigrants from our were immigrants originally. My mother's maiden name was is Krause. I mean, but open borders, no police, what what kind of world do you think we live in? And I'm all for accepting people that are different. Again, you do you, boo-boo. As long as it doesn't affect me, I'm good with it. But when certain people say, you know, well, you you won't accept me. I think America's very accepting of a lot of things. They've proven that. But there will be law and order, you will come in the right way, the borders are sealed. I just, socialism is it's to me, it's kind of like a form of welfare. You know, in this country, there's people that work and people that don't want to work. And the people that don't want to work feel like the government owes them something just because they're an American citizen. But that's not the way it works. You know, the the people that work hard every day are gonna be stuck paying all these taxes and for all these programs that are free for people that don't want to work. The whole system is gonna collapse. So, and again, it goes back to something I talked about on a prior episode about the importance of teaching civics and American history, world history in our high schools and colleges because these kids are graduating with this thing that the government owes them. No, they don't, and then there's the quality of these programs, free health care. Yeah, free health care. But what about the quality? What if you need to see a doctor? You can see a doctor, and by God, it's gonna be free. But you have to wait six months for an appointment. Or eight months. Same with schools, all the education is free. But what's the quality gonna be like? So think about socialism. It doesn't, it's never worked, it's not gonna work, and we better damn well not allow it to work. So pay attention, people, pay attention to who you're voting for. I'm not saying vote Republican, vote for whatever you want to vote for, but if you vote for socialism, I hope you've done your homework. I really do. So, next topic. Uh I'm taking a trip in September. My husband and I, and my sister-in-law and one of our good friends, um, have rented a huge van. Um, and we're gonna drive from Florida to Utah with quite a few stops along the way. The two I'm most excited about is Mount Zion in Utah and Moab, which is also in Utah. So um, Mount Zion, I saw a video and I just knew immediately this is something I need to lay my eyes on. If you haven't seen it, look it up. It's amazing. It's a beautiful, majestic, just stunning in the videos. I can't wait to go there. So I'll make sure I take my equipment with me so I can look lots of videos and and share them on my podcast. Looking forward to it. So uh I typically close with a landlord tip of the week because you may or may not know I've been a property manager for over 40 years, so I know a little bit about it from both sides, landlord side and tenant side. So uh the tip this week is for landlords. Um, make sure that your lease agreement provides that minor maintenance items are a tenant responsibility. And when I say minor maintenance, I need light bulbs, smoke detectors, uh, toilet flappers, leaky faucets, locks, window locks, glass breakage, um AC filters, AC drain lines, even lawn care and pool care, unless you provide that in the lease, which I always recommend that you do. Um, it's just important because then the tenants take a little more pride in where they live and they know that if something is damaged, they're likely gonna just have to pay for it out of their pocket. We're not gonna send anyone. So this kind of does two things. It helps keep the owner's cost down, and again, it helps the tenants take pride in their home and take better care of the property because they don't want to constantly be paying for things, especially the AC filter and drain line, that's real important. And with Google, you know, if one of my residents says they don't know how to clean the drain line, well, Google it. It's real simple. So, um, thank you all for watching, and until next time, be kind to each other and look out for each other. Bye.
