"The Momentum Coach Podcast exists to remind every midlife woman that her life is not over, it is just beginning.

We gather each week around the real conversations about identity, purpose, love, faith, money, health, and becoming because we believe that the woman who has spent decades showing up for everyone else deserves a space to finally show up for herself.

Through honest conversations, hard-won wisdom, and the courage to live out loud, we are building a movement of women who refuse to stay small, refuse to play it safe, and refuse to believe that their best days are behind them.

This is not a podcast about surviving midlife. This is a podcast about owning it. Because midlife is not a decline. It is the most powerful chapter of a woman's life. And every woman deserves someone in her corner telling her so."

Welcome to the Momentum Coach Podcast. This podcast was born out of everything that I have survived, and everything that I believe you deserve. It is for the woman who has spent decades showing up for everyone else and is finally ready. The woman that is finally ready to show up for herself. The woman who has been through it, who is still standing, who knows deep down that there is more. That there is so much more waiting for her on the other side. Every Wednesday, every Wednesday morning at 6 a.m., we gather here for real conversations about identity, about purpose, about faith, love, money, about health and becoming. Not the polished version, not the version that makes everyone comfortable, but the real version, the raw version. Because you have been through too much and come so far, you've come too far for anything less than the truth. This is not a podcast about surviving midlife. This podcast is about owning midlife. New episodes every Wednesday morning on Spotify, on Apple Podcasts, and at Elevation Life Coaching.com slash podcast. And while you are listening, download the Momentum 365 app at Momentum 365.today, your daily companion for building unstoppable momentum. Now let's get into today's episode. Let's move. I want to tell you today about two women. They are the same age, same general circumstances, same starting point. Five years later, their lives look completely different. One has built something, changed something, become someone that she is genuinely proud of. The other is still in the same place, still talking about the same dreams, still waiting for the right moment to begin. What is the difference between these two women? It is not the talent, it is not luck, it is not connections or resources or even opportunity. It is what they did and what they did not do every single day. The small choices, the quiet habits, the daily non-negotiables that most people never see, but that compound over time into lives that look like miracles from the outside. I am Dr. Novis McDaniel, the Momentum Coach. And this episode, episode nine of the Momentum Coach Podcast, this is the daily non-negotiables of women who move. Today we are getting practical. We are talking about the daily habits and non-negotiables of women who move, who grow, women who build extraordinary lives one ordinary day at a time, one ordinary step at a time. Here is something I need you to understand before we go any further. Motivation is a visitor. It shows up when it feels like it. It leaves without warning. It cannot be reliably summoned on demand. If you are waiting to feel motivated before you begin, you will spend your whole life waiting. Habits are different. Habits don't require motivation. They don't ask how you feel this morning. They don't wait for the perfect moment or the right circumstances. They simply show up because you have built them into the architecture of your day. The women who consistently move, who consistently move forward, who build businesses, write books, transform their health, rebuild their lives, are more motivated than you. They are more habitual than you are. They have decided in advance what they're going what they're going to do, what they will do, and then they go out and they do it. Regardless of mood, regardless of circumstance, regardless of whether they feel like it or not, this is not about being rigid or being robotic. It is all about removing the daily negotiation. Because every time you have to decide whether to do the thing, you are burning willpower that could be spent on actually doing it. Build the habit, remove the negotiation, show up anyway. That is how momentum becomes a way of life. That's how it becomes a way of life. And here are the seven daily non-negotiables that I see consistently in women who are building momentum in midlife. Not all of them will look the same for you as they do for someone else. Adapt them, make them yours, but do not skip any of them. Non-negotiable number one, own your morning. The first hour of your day sets the tone for everything that follows. And for most women, that first hour is immediately swallowed up by other people's needs. Phone calls, children, spouses, partners, news, social media. Before you have even a moment with yourself, you are already in reactive mode. I want you to own your morning, even 30 minutes, even 15 minutes before the world gets access to you. You get access to yourself. Use it however feels right. Prayer, devotion, stillness, movement, journaling, reading, but make it yours. Protect it fiercely. And then let's talk about non-negotiable too. Move your body. We covered this in episode seven. It belongs here as well because it is that daily important, daily movement, even 10 minutes, changes your brain chemistry, your energy, your mood, and your capacity for everything else. Non-negotiable. Amen. It's non-negotiable. And then non-negotiable number three, I want you to feed your mind. And feed your mind intentionally. What you consume mentally shapes how you think, how you feel, and how you show up. Every day, read something that challenges you, that inspires you, or teaches you something new. A book, an article, a podcast like this one. Women who keep growing, keep learning. It is that simple. It's just that simple. And then number four, non-negotiable number four, do the one thing. Every day, identify the single most important thing you could do to move your life or your goals forward. Not the easiest thing, not the most urgent thing, the most important thing. And do that first. Before the emails, before the errands, before the requests of everyone else, the one thing done consistently is how dreams become reality. The one thing. And then non-negotiable number five is connect meaningfully. Humans are wired for connection. We are. And midlife women who are often in seasons of relationship transition can become quietly isolated without realizing it. Every day, reach out to someone who matters. A text, a phone call, a coffee, a note, not scrolling through someone's Instagram, real direct, intentional connection. It feeds something in us that nothing else can. At the end of each day, spend five minutes in reflection, not criticism, not a review of everything that went wrong. Three questions. What went well today? What did I learn today? And what is one thing I will do differently on tomorrow? That practice. That practice, five minutes, three questions builds self-awareness faster than almost anything else. And self-awareness is the foundation of everything meaningful. Self-awareness. Non-negotiable number seven. Rest with intention. Rest with intention. We talked about rest in episode seven. It is here again because it is that important. Build intentional rest into every day. Not collapse at the end of an exhausting day, but chosen deliberate rest. Ten minutes of stillness, a walk with no destination, time in nature, sitting with a cup of tea and absolutely nothing else. This is not wasted time. This is investment time in your nervous system. Investment in your nervous system, your creativity, your capacity to keep showing up. And now I want to help you build what I called, call your personal momentum ritual. Because the seven non-negotiables that I just gave you are a framework, not a prescription. Your ritual needs to fit your life, your season, your actual circumstances. Here is how to build it. Start with the morning. Choose two or three things from the non-negotiables list that feel most essential to you right now. Build them into a morning sequence that takes no more than 30 to 60 minutes. 30 to 60 minutes every morning. Keep it simple. Simple enough that you will actually do it. And then identify one thing, one thing for each day. Do it before anything else gets in the way. Then end your day with five minutes of reflection. That is your momentum ritual. Morning after morning. Daytime focus. Evening reflection. Simple, sustainable, powerful. And here is the most important thing I want you to understand about building this ritual. You will miss days, life will interrupt, illnesses will come, travel will disrupt, hard seasons will hit. The goal is not perfection. The goal is return. When you miss a day, you return the next day without any guilt, without self-punishment, without treating one miss day as evidence that you are not someone who can do this. You are someone who can do this. You just return every time. That returning, that refusal to quit is what separates the women who build momentum from the ones who only dream about it. And you are that woman. I know that you are. Your momentum move for this week is to design your personal momentum ritual. Grab your journal, write down your morning sequence, two or three non-negotiables that will start your day every day on your terms. Write down how you will identify your one thing each day. Write down your evening reflection. And then tomorrow, tomorrow morning, just do it. Not perfectly, not completely, not with everything figured out. Just begin. The important thing is that you begin one morning, one ritual, one day of choosing yourself first, and then the next day and the next day, that is how a life of momentum is built. One ordinary day at a time. Thank you so much. Thank you for spending this time with me today. We have covered so much in this small amount of time, so much ground that we have covered together in this first season. And next week we bring it all together. Episode 10 is our season finale. And in it, I am going to help you build your personal 90-day momentum plan. A real, practical, deeply personal roadmap for the next chapter of your life, the most powerful chapter of your life. It is going to be powerful. So make sure you are subscribed and make sure that you have your journal ready. You are going to want to write this one down. Small daily choices. Compound it over time. Extraordinary living. You have an extraordinary life. And before I let you go to get today, I need you to do just a few things for me. Number one, if this episode moves something in you, and I believe that it has, I want you to share it. I want you to tag a woman in your life who needs to hear just this. Send it to her directly. You can post it on your page. Do whatever you need to do to get this into her hands. Because somewhere right now, there is a woman who needs exactly what we just heard.
