A premium hi-fi that behaves like an installer-friendly product rather than a pile of separate boxes is rare, so we zoom in on a notable UK launch. Sound Design Distribution has added Swedish audio brand AcuVoice Systems to its UK portfolio, bringing the Stream S3 to integrators who want fast, repeatable deployments without giving up serious sound quality. The headline is simple: an integrated active music playback system that combines streaming, DSP processing, amplification, and wireless speaker tech into one cohesive ecosystem.
We talk through what Stream S3 includes and why it may simplify system design: a dedicated hub paired with WISA-enabled active loudspeakers, plus high-resolution wireless transmission up to 24-bit/96 kHz. We also run through the features clients ask for every day, from Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect to AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Bluetooth 5.2, and lossless playback support. On the wired side, we cover HDMI ARC for TV audio, multiple optical inputs, coaxial digital, analogue RCA, USB audio for PC and Mac, USB disc playback, and a subwoofer output with advanced 2.1 bass management.
Performance claims and engineering choices get a close look too. Each three-way loudspeaker uses five active drive units with 600 watts of onboard amplification, and AcuVoice highlights force-cancelling woofers to reduce cabinet vibration plus “virtual source point technology” where DSP time-aligns every driver to emulate a point-source speaker. We also note the Sweden-made build, finish options, and the UK price of £5,995 for the speaker pair and hub. If you like concise custom installation news with practical detail, subscribe, share the brief with a colleague, and leave a review so more integrators can find it.

SPEAKER_00Welcome to the Inside CI News Brief for Tuesday, 14th, July 2026, the latest custom installation news in minutes for busy integrators and industry professionals. Written by humans, voice by AI for your convenience.
AcuVoice Stream S3 UK Launch
SPEAKER_00Sound Design Distribution has added Swedish audio brand AcuVoice systems to its UK portfolio, launching the Stream S3, a fully integrated active music playback system. Combining network streaming, analog and digital source connectivity with advanced room correction and wireless speaker technology, the Stream S3 promises audiophile performance while simplifying system design and installation. Developed by Swedish designer Anders Vik, known for his work with Audio Pro, the Stream S3 comprises a pair of active WISA-enabled loudspeakers and a dedicated system hub. Rather than relying on separate amplification and multiple source components, the platform integrates streaming, DSP processing and amplification into a single ecosystem, offering a streamlined route to high-performance two-channel
Streaming Formats And Connectivity
SPEAKER_00audio. The Stream S3 supports a broad range of music services and playback options, including Spotify Connect, Lossless, Tidal Connect, Kyoba's Connect, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Bluetooth 5.2. High-resolution YSA wireless transmission supports up to 24 bit 96 kHz audio. Physical connectivity includes HDMI ARC, three optical inputs, coaxial digital, analog RCA, USB audio for PC and Mac, USB Disc playback, and a sub-woofer output with advanced 2.1 bass management. The system is also designed to operate as a rune endpoint. Configuration comes via the proprietary control app or an aluminium remote control, with automatic room correction helping optimize performance across a variety of listening environments. Setup is aided by parametric EQ, complete with three user presets, integrated time alignment, and base management when incorporating a subwoofer.
Power Drivers And Point Source DSP
SPEAKER_00Each three-way loudspeaker incorporates five active drive units powered by 600 watts of onboard amplification, delivering a combined claimed system output of 1.2 kW. The driver array comprises a 29mm silk dome tweeter, twin 130mm mid-bass drivers in an MTM configuration, and a pair of sidefiring 120mm force cancelling woofers. According to AckuVoice Systems, the opposing woofer arrangement reduces cabinet vibration, while the tweeter is mounted directly to a 15mm CNC machined aluminium front plate to improve mechanical isolation. Virtual source point technology. DSP time aligns every driver to emulate the behavior of a point source loudspeaker.
Finishes Pricing And Where To Listen
SPEAKER_00Manufactured in Sweden, the Stream S3 is available in five satin matte finishes, including titanium dark grey and architect white as standard, with aluminium grey, royal blue, and pearl beige offered as special order options. Graphite black tweeter plates are supplied as standard, while champagne gold and copper red alternatives provide further scope for customization. The Accuvoice Stream S3, including the speaker pair and system hub, is available through Sound Design Distribution, priced at £5,995.
