A portable projector that thinks like a proper home cinema install is no longer a contradiction. We break down XGIMI’s latest Elfin Flip announcements and what they mean for anyone chasing big-screen performance without committing to a fixed projector mount, dedicated screen, or permanent room layout.

We start with the Elfin Flip 4K, the new flagship built around a 4K RGB triple laser light engine rated at 1600 ISO lumens. Elfin Flip Range Gets Bigger

XGEME has expanded its Elfin Flip projector line, adding two new models that push portable projection closer to performance territory. The Elfin Flip 4K sits at the top of the refreshed range. It's a compact home projector designed to move easily between rooms while delivering picture quality more commonly associated with fixed installations.

Weighing 1.55 kilograms, it uses a 4K RGB triple laser light engine rated at 1600 ISO lumens, with a claimed 20,000 to 1 dynamic contrast ratio, 110% BT.2020 coverage and delta E less than 1 color accuracy. An optical zoom with a 0.98 to 1.3 to 1 throw ratio allows users to fine-tune image size without repositioning the unit.

Auto Setup And Screen Adapt

Setup is largely automated. XGIME's intelligent screen. Adapt system handles keystone correction, focus, screen alignment, and obstacle avoidance, while also adjusting for wall color and protecting against accidental eye exposure. The projector starts when flipped upright, a design cue carried over from earlier Elfin models.

Gaming Upgrades And Model Split

Gaming performance has been significantly upgraded. The Elfin Flip 4K claims 1 millisecond input lag at 1080p 120 Hz, along with VRR, ALLM, black equalizer with a dedicated gaming mode. The Elfin Flip Laser joins the range as a 1080p option, also using RGB triple laser illumination. It shares the same 1600 ISO lumen output, but omits optical zoom and the advanced gaming feature set. The existing Elfin Flip Plus remains the entry point, continuing with LED illumination for everyday streaming.

Audio, Google TV, And Pricing

Both new models include a 7-watt Harman Cardon speaker with Dolby audio support. Google TV is built in, providing access to Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and other streaming services without external hardware. The Elfin Flip 4K retails for £869, while the Elfin Flip Laser comes in at £689.

Myra Ultra Short Throw Platform

XGMI has also launched the Myra Series, an ultra short throw £4K platform aimed at design-led home environments using RGB triple laser technology and a 20,000 to 1 contrast ratio.
