How do we stay connected to Spirit while navigating the practical realities of everyday life?

In this heartfelt episode of Tea Time with Angels, we explore the delicate dance between spiritual growth and elements of earthly life. With my guest John David Latta, Author of the Synchronicity of Love, we discuss how to remain grounded while honoring our spiritual path, and why true embodiment requires both heaven and earth working in harmony. The topics we discussed in this episode include:

--Sports camaraderie
--Tribal Mentalities and how they bring us together and separate us
--Wisdom from Zen, Buddhism, Vedic Yoga and Ho'oponopno
--How to transform stale relationships
--Practical techniques that bridge the spiritual and the mundane parts of life

Hello and welcome everyone back to Two Time with Angels. This is the official podcast of the Peaceful Rain Temple. If you're a curious mind, you're in the right place, as we aren't afraid to dig deep into the mysteries of life and try to make sense of the strange things. I'm your host, Ro J. Bacon. I'm a minister of angel healing, as well as a master of three Reiki healing traditions already. And I'm the founder of the Peaceful Rain Temple of Empowerment, a non-dogmatic spiritual fellowship dedicated to assisting those who are on the spiritual path to embodiment of their divine self as well as empowerment as all that they can be as a human. The Peaceful Rain Temple is not just my design, it was largely my soul agreed to, but it was largely also given to me by Archangel Michael and Metatron. And I receive guidance from them, so it's really happening through me from them. Those of you who wish to receive deeper guidance from the angels. You can learn more at peacefulrain.com as well as join our community on school. And that's just a peaceful reign temple on school, S K O L. Let's get into today's topic, which we are joined with uh John David Lada. And today's topic is finding balance in the spiritual and the mundane, finding balance between them and ways of going about that. So John has written a fabulous book called The Synchronicity of Love. We will be talking about that book as well as some of um John's insights and wisdom and stories from his life, as well as I'll share a little bit more from my life too. Um as this is a tea time conversation. So get your drinks and let's get started. At peaceveran.com you also find uh the links to book a heart call with me to learn more about either my drama to divine union course, which is streamlined for twin flames and twin flame couples um who know that they're capable of and seek to learn the ways of divine union and attaining kingdom spouse status. That's the highest evolution of a twin flame couple to be a truly divine godly embodiment of their soul, their shared soul as a couple and create a new divine bloodline. So you can find Drama to Divine Union as a course at peaceworine.com or if you wish to embody more of your higher self and soul, either as a twin flame, or if you don't know yourself to be a twin flame, then that course is available to you as God's full embodiment. And that is a course that was really taught to me by the angels, given to me by the angels entirely, that includes both the Soul Star Portal, which is a trademarked w which is my signature energy work technique, which is my signature energy healing technique that the angels give me after my walk-in, as well as a whole session in each of the the soul star portal and the and the angelic reiki are together in each session over the course of seven consecutive days and that is God's full embodiment. The results are heavenly and divine, true inner union with all of your all of yourself, your inner child, your divine energies, your soul, your higher self. You have not known life yet after God's full embodiment. So I encourage you to book a heart call with me. And the link is also in the description of this podcast. John, how are you?

SPEAKER_00

Good right. Sorry, I'm very um happy you invited me to be a guest on your show and looking forward to our chat.

SPEAKER_02

Likewise, I've been looking to looking forward to this talk for a while. So let's talk about finding balance between the the spiritual, really I could call it more like quantum angelic, um lots of other names, transcendent life, um, and uh the physical and mundane life, and ways of finding balance between that. So, what does that mean to you? Um, how has that affected your life?

SPEAKER_00

That's a great question. Um, and I think it's probably something it's still unfolding and learning more and more about every single day. Um there was a time in my life where I went through a horribly difficult time and ended up uh divorced with full-time custody of my two children. They were nine and eleven. And um, my company that I had gone off and started on my own was suffering mightily. I lost a bunch of money, and it was a really scary time. But at the same time, uh, out of the blue on a business trip at a hotel room in Philadelphia at midnight, had a full-on Kundalini awakening and had no idea what the word even meant, had no idea what was even happening to me. And thus began the dance between I want to call it heaven and earth or the divine and the earthly, uh, that continues in a way to this day. And it was surreal. For years afterwards, I was having the most amazing energetic experiences, mostly at night, but sometime during the day. Uh, and the same time, I was just an everyday ordinary dad, raising two kids for the most part by myself, trying to rescue my company that had gone downhill. And um, and I was uh it was like this huge, it felt like a huge split, two worlds. One part of me at night was having all these amazing adventures. The other part of my day had very practical things and obligations and responsibilities to deal with. And um, and so I it's been literally my life path to try to bring those two closer together and figure out a way to work with both of them without excluding one in preference for the other.

SPEAKER_02

Interesting. Yeah, um, I think a lot of us go through big life changes, and um I can also speak to the potency of Kundalini awakening and how that can change your life. Um and yeah, especially with the influence of Saturn, the Saturn return around the age of 30, 29 to 31, um, it varies a little bit from person to person, but yeah, that can be a really um honestly tumultuous time for most people, yeah. Um, and affect multiple levels of your life. So, how did you um start writing The Synchronicity of Love? How did that come about?

SPEAKER_00

Well, um I liked short stories, I like true stories, I like experiential stories, and um, and some of the authors I liked, Michael Craight was my favorite. Um, he had written a nonfiction book called Travels, and it was a bunch of short stories about different episodes in his life, and I liked his life, I liked his writing style, so I tried to emulate it as best I could in my own book. And my book has uh, I think it's 119 short stories, most of which are one to two pages long, a few of them might be 10 pages long. And I tried to capture in real time what I was experiencing at the moment. So I tried to write it in present tense so the reader could kind of write along with me what I was experiencing. And I would say three-quarters of the book is probably focused on some sort of unusual, shocking, transcendent experience. But a good 25% of the book was just, like I said, an everyday dad with two kids, a lot of responsibilities and obligations. And um, and again, trying to honor both aspects of my life equally the highs, the lows of earthly life, uh, the shocking, completely illogical adventures in the transcendent, and and just try to bring them closer together. And I still feel today like um I love the idea of bringing heaven and earth closer together. And uh, and even with all the tumultuous stuff we go through, maybe I could figure out how do I go through it without resisting it. Maybe I can find a way to go through it and appreciate it, even when it's not something I would have chosen. And uh I remember one time having a dream. I get a lot of guidance through dreams, and I had a dream about uh an old farmer who had a lot of responsibilities. There was a lot involved in running a large-scale farm. But in the dream, it showed a little like a yogi meditating in his third eye. And it didn't matter how much difficulty he had, how many challenges, his mind was at perfect peace through it all. And so that's why I talk about how can I figure out a way to bring heaven as sort of perfect peace into my experience, even as I'm going through the sometimes what feels like the trials of earthly life.

SPEAKER_02

I love it. Um, so I have to say that the really the mission um really that I've been attuned to, as well as um the core mission of peaceful reign um does align with the the the bridging or bringing um heaven to earth, the work of that, and yeah, that is a lot of work. Um we can talk about pretty soon also how that can even happen and what each of us can do um to move forward with that. Um but I also want to ask you first, um you were mentioning that you've had many experiences um like accessing or finding yourself in the transcendent realm, heavenly astral realms, um and then just sort of floating around in there doing work of different sorts sometimes and coming back. Could you tell us more about one or two of those and what that um that element of your life is like?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, uh well, during the Kundalini phase, for me, um most of the most of my dances in the transcendent seemed to take the form of what I would call goddesses. And so I remember not knowing what the word meant, having to look it up. I felt a lot of peace when I started to realize it was something that some people actually were seeking and not something to be afraid of, because the energetics were so over the top. I mean, I would wake up sometimes grimacing in pain, like it felt like I had heart paddles slapped out of my body, the electric shocks going through my body. Um, but there was blissful experiences, blissful beyond belief. And uh and so a lot of my experiences had to do with goddesses. It just felt like, in some manner of speaking, I was being asked to integrate every possible form of the goddess. Um, and so I'll share um, oh, let's see, a couple of experiences. One that took place, I don't have that many where I would call the transcendent breaks through during my day-to-day, but there was one time I took my daughter, who was probably nine or ten years old, and her uh three little friends out to Chinese food for dinner, and it was just a normal Chinese restaurant. It was dinner time, and my my uh daughter and her friends are just giggling and babbling away about something. And I was watching our waitress, who was tall, slender, very slope-shouldered, and not very attractive. My male judge was in full force, and I watched her walk through swinging doors into where the kitchen was. And when she walked back out, oh my God, she transformed into what I would call the most beautiful woman in the world. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. And I'm just sitting there at the table with all the other um uh patrons of the restaurant, my daughter and her friends. I can't believe what I'm seeing. It's she's so breathtakingly beautiful. It's insane. And 10 seconds later, she goes back to being who she was before. And I didn't, and I'm looking around. I'm the only person that saw this. And I didn't know really what to take from that, except um I think it was just uh, you know, that old saying, don't judge a book by its cover. Like there was something extraordinary, extraordinarily beautiful beyond her physical form. And I think I got to see underneath it. Um another experience, um, I met a gal, um, we hit it off, we went out on a date, and um and it was just a random, really funny thing. She was telling me, she was very um uh very intuitive, and she was a massage therapist who over time started getting messages from people's bodies and started telling people the messages that she was getting from the bodies, and her practice became more focused on the messages than on the actual massage. And I was very curious about that. I said, How do you do that? She goes, Well, try holding my feet. The feet are a good place to get messages. So I'm holding her feet to my chest, and I'm really trying to get messages from her feet, and nothing's happening. And I'm frustrated. And I have voices in my head saying, Oh God, she's been doing this for 20 years. You're not going to get a message on the first try. And uh, and part of me is trying really hard, and another part's trying to not try so hard. And after what felt like the three longest minutes of my life, uh, suddenly I had this profound image of a little girl who looked like she was three or four years of age in the darkness, running in terror, you know, and looking over her shoulder, just scared, really frightened. And something in me wanted to do something. And I asked her, I said, Will you let me do what's coming to me spontaneously? And she goes, Yeah, but I might cry. And uh um, and I sat down next to her and I put my hand on my heart center and my left hand on her heart center, and it felt like two thunderbolts of lightning passed through my body into her heart, and in an instant, it's like some Christ-like aspect has showed up and is filled, there's an entire space full of light, and that little girl is being wrapped in that light and told she never has to be afraid ever again. And this woman who's grown and in her 40s is sobbing on the table. And I can't tell you, Troy, I'm sure in some past lifetimes I've done stuff like this, but in this lifetime, I was as shocked as anybody that any of that happened. It was completely unexpected. And that was my life for years. It was one thing after another after another. I had no idea it was even possible.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that sounds like the gifts of the soul awakening. Yeah. Yeah, that can certainly happen um with Kundalinian awakening, but also I know I've had those types of experiences of just knowing how to do something um long before I even knew about Kundalini or Kundalinian Awakening. Yeah and um before that happened. Um yeah, there was um one memory that uh that's coming to mind um kind of similar, I mean, not exactly like that, but kind of similar in the way that I just knew how to how to do this sort of thing. Um back in freshman year of my undergraduate college. So this August, during the Lionsgate Portal, I will be hosting the first annual Cosmic Congress. Cosmic Congress is a caucus of Star Seeds on Earth and the Galactic Federation, representatives really from the Galactic Federation, I should say, as well as other Star Councils, and we are welcoming star beings, enlightened, compassionate star beings who wish to join us. All for the work of reconciling the last echoes of the Orion Wars with the the Draco and us humans and felines, as well as in that light of reconciliation, finding communion with benevolent reptilians again bridging the gap between humankind and our star allies. And uh that last part, bridging the gap between humans and dragons and reptilians, that comes from my crystal dragon clan, from Star Sife and Orion. They wish to start working with humans, and it is they explain that it is through their conscious communal work with humans as teachers and healers, that that is how they start opening the portal for dragons to physically manifest on Earth once again. So again, Cosmic Congress is August 7th through 11th. It will be at Dragonsgate Gardens, just outside of Tana, Washington. And it is a magical fairylands, an interstellar, Stargate. It is a beautiful place to pitch attend and enjoy a week commuting with other starseeds, cosmic beings, old souls, as well as star beings and star councils. And you can learn more at cosmiccongress.org. That's also where you can buy tickets at cosmiccongress.org. There was this one dorm in I think it was the tallest dorm building on campus, and there's this one one bedroom that the residential and dining services would not let anyone stay in. They reserved it only for emergency um residency purposes. And that was because I learned this from a friend um who I actually graduated from high school with, um, who lived in the room directly below this room. And so because it was a vacant bedroom, vacant dorm room, nobody was actually staying in there, yet he could hear scratches, furniture being moved around in the room. Um and I became friends with a young woman who was um in one of the dorm rooms in that same suite of this vacant room. And so there was, I think once or twice, um, we were talking in the hallway outside of this room and we heard just a crash in that room. So of course there was something going on in there. Um rumor has it that there may have been a student in years past who committed suicide in there, but so what I knew to do, not only the two of us stuffed it was kind of funny, we just stuffed sage under the door at the time, hoping that would help the spirit. Not sure that it did. But what was coming to me that I knew to do is um guide the two of us through a meditation, bringing in golden light through us and into that room. Then there was quiet in that room after that. So, yeah, one of those many things that the soul knows how to do, but the Mind didn't logically learn.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah, I I can tag onto that a little bit. Um, the kundalini felt like to me, someone or something was remodeling my physical body and my subtle body, and it was entirely autonomous. John, whatever that is, um, the only say I had in it is I could tell it when to back off. Like, hey, I need some sleep. I'm still a dad. I've got my own company, I got kids to raise, you know, stuff to do. Um, but otherwise, it just went about and did its own thing. And there was a period of time too where um I would be out in public, and whatever was happening to me would rush out of my body towards another person. And so I remember taking my kids, so actually it was our whole extended family, out to dinner at a Thai restaurant. And we had been to this restaurant many times, and the waitress there was really friendly and chatty. And this particular time, she went over and stood behind me, and it's like time stood still for about 10 seconds, and this giant amount of energy came barreling up out of the earth through my root chakra, up into my heart, out the back of my heart, and into her. And I just stood there kind of hunched over, feeling this happening. And this very chatty waitress stopped talking for about 10 seconds. And I don't know if she was aware, but consciously or not. I can't even tell you exactly what was happening, but that type of thing would happen too. And so uh, you know, you heard the saying, not I, but the father works through me. Like it was abundantly clear, at least in this case, uh, when it comes to energy, John just has to get out of the way. And so that became my regular experience all the time. I never knew when the energy was going to be moving through me on behalf of another person. And uh and I, as I knew myself to be, had nothing to do with it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah, I I definitely understand that. Um, that's basically how the peaceful rain temples came about, not only through some of the um clients I had, especially last year and this year, um removing demons and dark spirits from them, but finding um the the way I did that was really with Archangel Michael primarily and the archangels, and so it was really their work that worked primarily through me. I I agreed to be the conduit. Yeah, so it's um yeah, that's I think the the divine higher way for for us to really bridge um, and as long as we can stay or just stay grounded as people in our bodies, um, yeah, that's a good way to actually bridge the divine and the the human realm.

SPEAKER_00

You've probably experienced as a wakey practitioner and you know all the levels you've been through. Like I did energy work for a while, and um every single client was different, every single time was different. And so I would lay my hands on another person, and and sometimes it didn't really feel like much was happening. And uh I'd be guided where to put my hands and how long to put them there. And other times it would be like, oh my god, what just happened here? And um, and so I actually found it was difficult for me because um I really had to just sort of step aside, be very, very present, and whatever's gonna happen was gonna happen. And in my experience, what was going to happen generally took place in the first five minutes. And so the client wants 30 minutes or an hour. Like whatever was supposed to happen happened in the first five minutes.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah, I can I can relate to that also. Yeah, quite often with Reiki sessions and healing sessions I've done. I I open the session, um, usually I invoke um angels. My dragon clan also shows up sometimes. Um, sometimes gods and goddesses, um, other spirits, especially depending on who they are and their spirit team. And so it's pretty normal, yeah, to pick up things right as soon as the connection starts.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um sometimes though, what I've done, especially in psychic reading sessions, um, what I've found happens with me is I I call it pulling on the thread. It it feels like a little bit of information comes through, like an image or um an element of their life that needs to be talked about. Yeah. And then I just keep on I I relay that, and then I keep on hearing more and more from usually a spirit guide or um angel or deity around them. And I just keep on pulling on that. It is kind of metaphorically like pulling on a thread from a cloth just more and more comes out.

SPEAKER_00

I love that. I I would say I do the same thing with people, um, but it to me, um, and maybe it's you're saying the same thing. Um the guidance I get is always uh ask them about this, ask them about this, ask them. And so I feel like I just am asking questions, which is cool because I think it's kind of empowering to the other person in a way. And um it was actually fairly recently that I spoke to a woman who's a reader. She goes, Oh, yeah, we call that the art of drawing forth. And uh I said, Yeah, that's exactly what it is. So um, so I don't usually share that much information directly, it's more indirect in the form of I end up asking them lots of questions.

SPEAKER_02

That's good. Yeah. Yeah, questions are a powerful medium of bringing out knowledge and truths from a person.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I wanted to also I had some specific notes I wanted to talk about. Um one though, that's kind of digging into um a little more of the deeper mysteries and understandings of life. It's part of actually a longer quote I found um from the Third Zen Patriarch Sangstan, and it it goes to set up what you like against what you dislike is the disease of the mind. When the deep meaning of things is not understood, the mind's essential peace is disturbed to no avail. So even that's kind of a long um bit of wisdom, but I feel I should say that again for the listeners and anyone who didn't catch all of that. So you can I'll put this in the description, uh a link to it, um for those of you who want to read the whole thing. But the quote I have is to set up what you like against what you dislike is the disease of the mind when the deep meaning of things is not understood, the mind's essential peace is disturbed to no avail. Beautiful. And so definitely the first part of that, um, I think about this sometimes, but the first part of that speaks to the importance of allowing things to be, like the song Let It Be. That comes from a biblical passage too. Um but also just the the Zen and um Eastern traditions that teach surrender go at the flow, but it's it's really kind of the disease of the mind to be setting up we we can have healthy boundaries for ourselves and to maintain our integrity and self-love, but it's kind of a a mental disease to be setting up things that force something to be not what it is to manipulate nature to surve us instead of adapting to it and living with it or to force a way of life or a a certain way onto someone that they're not comfortable with or that it's not their nature So let's think about that. That's always important to think about what we're what we're setting up or creating that goes against what already is or what is flowing And definitely what will be right for us will find us The second half of that quote really makes one think like it really gets my mind to start thinking deeper about the deep meaning of things And how important it is to to think about the deeper meaning of things, the deeper nature of life. Um one that I think about often that still I I believe is the the um not to hold an air of superiority, but just like the kind of ultimate or the um most right way of understanding humans is the human design system. Um just because in my experience it's the most intricate and precise tool we have to to understand human characters, to understand human personality um a lot more than any ancient tradition that I've ever dug into. Yeah, so it's it's really understanding things taking time to understand things on a deep level that gives the mind better peace to understand not only people but nature. Um I used to be troubled with judgments for many years in my past, judging others for how they are for their differences in the ways that don't agree with me. Instead of one thing that human design does kind of help with when you are open to it is understanding the intricacies of people and that that people just are different than you, but understanding that that's because they have a different software imprinted on their hardware. That's just how they work.

SPEAKER_00

That's good, that's really good. I think um one thing I would tag on to saying is uh right or wrong, for whatever reason, even to this day, the majority of mankind, as I understand it, um is what I'm gonna loosely call tribal in nature. And by that I mean um whether I'm a Democrat, you're a Republican, I'm against Republicans, or vice versa. It can be it can be um religions, churches, belief systems, political systems, family lineage systems. And it almost seems like it's part of how it's been to be human, although I believe it's changing, uh, to have that um what I'm against be more primary than what I'm for. And what I want to fight against is primary rather than what you know, following what's your what kind of desire do you have? What kind of passion do you have that isn't a resistance to something else? And that's where I think the value of something that's you know just exploded on the world in the last, I don't know, 50 years, might even be less, has been shadow work. Um you might be familiar with the Westboro Baptist Church, those people that stand around at funerals where uh a gay person has died and they hate hold up big signs that say God hates fags and things like that. And so what unifies that church is that belief system that being gay is somehow inherently evil. And um and so they are in a process of fighting against something. And I mean, that is kind of generally speaking, the structure of the mind. It's like it's the structure of the human ego where I'm this but I'm not that. I like this, but I don't like that. I'm for this, but I'm really against that. And I heard somebody say once, it's really wise, that the ego isn't even really a thing, it's just a verb. And uh resistance is the ego. In fact, there was a spiritual teacher, Adi Da, that kind of came with that realization at a very young age. And he started every day of his life, uh, his little mantra every day was, How am I avoiding relationships? Because that's what the ego does. It avoids relationships with anything that appears to be different than they see themselves to be. And so what transforms all of that, shadow work is really helpful, shadow work done in a space of unconditional love where you can start to see both sides of everything, and the mind doesn't get in involved in divisions and fighting and resistance anymore. But what ultimately solves it is uh change of identity. If you can come into the realization that you are a soul andor you are spirit, and uh instead of fully identifying with the body and with all the beliefs that come flooding forth through your mind, it's a whole different deal. I I remember I love Michael Singer's book, The Surrender Experiment, and it became abundantly clear in the blink of an eye, what in the heck? Who is this person that's just nonstop chattering in my head? And he knew what it is that wasn't him. And it had some commentary say, Oh God, here comes Mary. I hope she hopes she doesn't talk to me today, you know, nonstop commentary. Prior to that shift, prior to that identity shift, um, he took those voices to be real and took them to be who he is. And so uh it's my hope and expectation that that is what's going to shift humanity, is when we start to realize um I, you know, awakening is a really popular thing. We really truly wake up to who we really are. And when that happens, then everything shifts. But if it's true that I think something like 80% of the human population is tribal in nature and highly resistant to other tribes, it gets it's it's a difficult thing. It's a really challenging thing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, certainly tribalism is um, I think hardwired into every human. It's just part of part of our ancient past, um, living in tribes, living in communities. Yeah, another tribe that or tribal mentality that I think of often is the wealth and money tribalism that most people in like um socioeconomic classes, celebrities, um, middle class, lower class. I I try to not pay attention to that as being a a border to meet people or to hang out with people, but uh it is true that a lot of us tend to like hang out with um those of us who are in a similar economic class or similar social class, and we see that, or we see that someone is like unreachable or higher than us, or um that we can't associate with them because they have a lot more money than us. Yeah, that's definitely changing though. I see that there are a lot of communities that um just like on Meetup, um school, um, other platforms, there are a lot of community platforms around here now that do both online and in-person meetings that are really bringing people together beyond borders, beyond um breaking the ice, really.

SPEAKER_00

You know, some of the most beautiful, just some of feeling experiential place, some of the most beautiful feelings of love I've ever felt were in AA meetings. And um, and I went there, my daughter was in AA for a couple of years, and I went to a number of meetings with her, and we sometimes we would be traveling out of town, and she'd look up an AA meeting, and we would go together. And, you know, they really do intentionally try to create a space of non-judgment and unconditional love. I was dating a woman that was getting a master's in counseling, and that was one of the things she had to do was to attend some AA meetings, and I went with her, and oh my god, I just felt like it was beautiful. It was just somehow, here are these people from all walks of life, and I mean it, you know, from dirt poor to really wealthy. What they share in common is an addiction to alcohol, and they're all trying to uh heal this addiction in their own way, and they're all struggling, but somehow that space of love was so profound, and I felt uh gracious just to be sitting in that room with everybody. It was a beautiful experience.

SPEAKER_02

I love that. Yeah. Um, I was taking time to sit in a park near my house, and I I found like my new favorite bench um next to trail. And anyway, I was sitting over looking this field, and there's like four different um they're often used for baseball but sports areas in this field, and I was just watching these, it looked like junior leagues, um, kids playing baseball. Um which was it was never really my forte, I'll be honest, growing up. But then for many years growing up, I used to actually judge or um it really comes down to more of an irritation from um or not understanding why people like scream at the TV on football and sports games when there's a win or get so excited. And but I was watching these um these kids play baseball and what I was really realizing what kind of the spiritual value or metaphysical value of why so many millions, billions of people get involved in sports, um choose these, choose to experience that type of um activity largely for the the value of exploring camaraderie, I believe. And I I did see a lot of these um young boys and kids really just uh bonding together, standing together, um playing together as good sportsmen, and so it was nice to kind of meditate on that value of of sports and sports games, even though it's not my forty to watch them. Um I do I do like to be active and I do understand um and I do appreciate playing sports when I can. But um yeah, it's that value of camaraderie, and then I was also noticing that the the one thing that especially draws them together beyond the game is the colors that the team wears. And so from a distance it's kind of hard to to see who it is, but you see that they're they're the same color, the same um uniform on. Yeah. And so you know that they're on that team, but then there's the the practice of saying good game after each game. So I I appreciate that that also is a way of um destimulating the need to have won the game, but have played the game with others.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I um Jack, let's see, Jack Kemp was a Republican congressman decades ago, and when he was young, he was a quarterback uh in the NFL. And he said, and these are my words, not his, but I'm gonna paraphrase sports have done more to end racism than any other thing out there in the world. And um, because um, you know, we don't care if you're black, we don't care if you're from Italy, we don't care if you even speak English very well, you know, if you're willing to come in and work hard and all work together with everybody, you're on the team. And um so he goes, Yeah, and you're you know, you walk around naked in the locker room, you know, every age, race, sex imaginable. And um, and so The divisions that I think sometimes a lot of people grow up with are hard to shake. Sports can be a great way to kind of resolve that issue. I think while I think it's probably true that big inner cities still tend to, you know, probably grow or communities kind of hang together, birds of a feather flock together. It actually is true that in big cities in general, people have far less judgment out. People that are from different countries, have different races, different color skin, different religious beliefs. Sometimes you just have to throw them all together in the pot, get them to work together. There's a story I love, a guy who was a Nazi skinhead in northern Idaho. I think he used to snort Coke just to get all fired up and eat all these fiery speeches full of hate. And they were all about white supremacy. And then I forget what he got caught doing, but he got thrown in prison. It was in prison for five months. And 90% of the uh inmates there were Hispanic or black. And he never interacted with anybody that was Hispanic or Black before. By the time he came out, he goes, they were like my best friends. And for the rest of his life, uh he started touting uh bringing races together from a place of unconditional love. And uh so those are the you know, I a little bit that's probably gonna always be around, but um yeah, those are the stories that I like to read and hang out with.

SPEAKER_02

That's a powerful transformation. Yeah. So one question that came up when you're talking is uh I think one commonality for those of us who are very attuned to spiritual realms, energy work, um a lot of energy healers I think are less common to play sports, but be um doing energy healings in others, um doing spiritual work, grid work, um a little more isolated because a lot of us are very sensitive to the energies of others and to certain dynamics and levels of reality that we call densities. And so what do you think the value is or is there like maybe a connecting value between the like the tribalism camaraderie of sports teams and um feeling like you're part of a sports network versus being more like on a in the spiritual community or in a innate spiritual community?

SPEAKER_00

I if I'm answering your question, if I understand your question, right? I I've been on both sides of it. So I grew up loving sports. Uh from about fourth grade on, I love sports. I was a skinny scrawny kid who was pretty good at everything and great at nothing, but you know, I liked football, I like basketball, I liked all the rough and tumble kind of sports. Um, I did uh triathlons, I did all sorts of, you know, and I but I love team sports, and I played basketball all the way up, like three times a week until I was 59, and then decided to think I was getting too old for it. And I'd be playing basketball with junior high kids, high school kids, college kids, uh, not too many guys my age, because I was definitely older than most of them. And I just loved it all. But somewhere along the way, um in my awakening phase in the Kundalini, I became way more sensitive than I used to be. I used to joke about it. Like if I go to a college or pro football game and I'm there with the crowd and there's 70,000 people screaming and having a good time, it'll take me hours to recover from it. I'll have to come home and just lay down on the couch, and my body will just be buzzing with energy. And so, but I didn't have that sensitivity when I was young, and so it changed a lot. Um, to answer your question about the tribalism, my experience in sports, both playing it myself and what I witness in pro and college sports, is everybody's different. There are players on the team that literally have logos on the back of their helmet that says God is love, they're loving, they sometimes do prayers together before and after the game, and uh and they're they're best pals, and the camaraderie is just over the top. There are those that just are inspired by the hate for the other side, and that's what fires them up. They have a chip on their shoulder, they hate, I hate this other team, I hate this other team. That's what gets them all fired up. And um, so I don't really know if you can really lump everybody that's involved in sports together. Um, but I have no doubt that probably a large chunk of the people playing sports are in that tribal mentality. There has to be something to hate, there has to be something to judge, there has to be something to resist. Uh, I didn't really experience it that way. I just had fun, the camaraderie part. I like trying hard, I like trying to be bigger, better, faster, stronger. I loved all that. But I had no hatred for the other team. Just wasn't my reality.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think that's very bold to think about. Also the meaning of um, just like with the Sangston quotas uh reading earlier, the meaning of why we're are participating in in teams, in groups, and cliques, in tribes, and what that's helping us with, or what we're getting out of that. Yeah. How that's helping us be better people, how that's helping us be a better husband or wife, and how that's helping us be a better member of society, too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah, I mean, every team is different. I coached my kids' ball teams. Uh, my experience, I was kind of surprised just how much different coaching the girls' teams were versus the boys' teams. The boys seemed to be much more um competitive, much more self-centered and out for themselves. This is just my experience. The girls were all about the team in a big way, always singing, you know, the whole time, and unbelievably supportive of each other. You know, it didn't matter if one girl was the worst on the team, all the other girls were trying to raise her up. Um, there are exceptions, of course, but um I think largely, in my experience, sports is a good thing. And I think um coaches and parents have a big influence on that. You know, I remember um, you know, just at the very least, kids are learning how to work together in essentially a large organization with many moving parts, uh, how to strategize and um and and help and support each other. And um, I had uh a girls' soccer team I was coaching, and we were in the finals, and the team where I were supposed to play didn't show up. And um, and one of the parents was like, fine, they forfeit, we win. You know, well, I went out of my way to try and get the phone number of the coach of the team, and I got a hold of her, and she goes, Oh my god, I thought it was Sunday, not Saturday. Somehow she managed to call all the girls on her team and all the parents and got them all there in 30 minutes. I have no idea how that worked out. And it was a really fun, exciting game, and it came down to a shootout, and um, and we won by one goal on the very last shootout, very end of the game. And but boy, there was one parent and a couple others that were just mad that I gave them a second chance, that we didn't just take the win automatically. But you know, they were very uh fair play didn't matter. It was all about the win. It was like all that matters is winning. You've got to teach your kids that it's all about winning. Yeah, what can I say? It's a whole pariah of people out there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And yeah, there are definitely those who are all about winning. Yep. Then there's some who are more about just the play of the game, and yeah, it's okay if if they don't win. Um, but then at the end of the day, there's still often food. Um, some of the potluck or snacks for everyone. Absolutely. Then they can still come together and eat together and talk and be themselves.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. You know, it's funny, I I coached uh girls' softball as well, and there was uh essentially four dads that were coaching the team, and they were all what I would call high-powered individuals with a lot of responsibility. And I remember one time all of us were leaning against the fence watching all the girls practice, and they were so sweet and they're so supportive. And one dad says, if only we could make a living at this. And you know, it sounds really funny, but you'd be amazed how much little kids have an effect on the coach too. It's not just top down, sometimes it's bottom-up. And I remember all those dads, myself included, learned it learned a lot from coaching girls in sports.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I bet. Yeah. Yeah, that definitely I well a a big part of tribalism and the the kind of divide between men and women, yeah, is that a lot of indigenous societies, um, and still this is pretty common in a lot of um cultures and societies, that the men, the boys were taught um a certain avenue of shamanism or way of life, um, especially from puberty age on up. Um well then the girls were divided when they uh were reaching puberty age, and they were taught actually a different flavor, a different variety of shamanism and ways of life. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think the the key is to try and teach people, including your children, the difference between uh judgment and discernment. And and I think a lot of parents, not all of them, probably fall in the habit, and it comes from a place of fear, teaching their kids judgment and fear of all that is different instead of just relying on discernment. Um, I heard somebody say once, let's say your kid's in high school and they're trying to decide uh what college to go to, and they can't decide between a STEM school, you know, science, technology, uh, engineering math school, or an art school. And most people, I'm just guessing, would have strong judgments one way or another. Like, why would you go to the art school? You'll never get a job, go to the STEM school. And another person would be like, Why the hell would you go to a STEM school? Go to a place where you can be creative and really blossom. And um, but it discernment just says, if you want this, you'll get this at the art school. If you want that, you'll get it at the STEM school. Uh the judgment always seems to just come from a place of fear, and so trying to move from uh pure judgment that's rooted in fear to just discernment, like, well, what do you want when you go to school? And then just pick the school based on that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I think that's actual logical way to do it in the school that is valuable to the individual. To the individual, right. Yeah, and their talent. Yeah. Yeah. Not not everyone's going to be talented or highly proficient in each field if their parent pushes them into it. Yeah. Most people aren't. Um, people need to are are really best following their talents.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And where their energy truly shines and flows.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think there I love the story. Um, I don't know if you ever saw the um commencement address that Steve Jobs did at Stanford. It's one of my favorite videos of all time. And he talked about uh the school he he was uh adopted by um very poor blue-collar family who raised him, and he was very intelligent, and they got him into a private school, but they were paying for it. And he realized, uh Steve realized if he stayed for four years that his parents were going to go broke. So he dropped out after um one semester. And he goes, but I hung around and started auditing classes. He goes, now I got to take the classes I wanted to take instead of the classes I had to take. And one of the classes I just loved was calligraphy. And he goes, the average parent would not think calligraphy is going to get you a job. He goes, I love the artistry of calligraphy. Well, years later, when they created the Apple Macintosh computer, he came up with the idea of let's create a computer that has different fonts to choose from. And it was all because of experience with calligraphy. That was the single thing that put the Mac on the map and differentiated it from all the other computers out there. So actually a big believer in sort of following uh what feels like intuitions or desires too, not just your skills. Uh, and you have no idea how something might later just show up in your life, like, oh my god, I'm so glad I I followed my my little uh giddy sense of guidance to go try calligraphy.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I'm really glad you brought up Steve Jobs. He's kind of a definitely a role model for a lot of people. Yeah. Um, one quote, actually, I put it in my my Reiki Masters workbook. I I gotta finish publishing in a bigger way. But one quote that Steve Jobs said, it was actually his last words before he literally took his last breath. He said, Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow. Because he was probably one of the many who was seeing heaven or the afterlife before his body stopped.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, I really love that quote, that last those last words from him. That really makes us makes one think about what that means that he saw, or what that's what's lying beyond waiting for us. Um I do have one last question for you. Um so you and I have both been through Kundalini Awakenings. Yeah. For me, like I have many talents. I write both fiction and non-fiction works, and I'm coming out with books in those areas too soon. And so I have talented both fiction and non-fiction mindsets, really a lot of talents. As soon as or like as I'm building in one one course or one group, or even both of my school groups or business, um, my mind is just also coming up with or maybe it's not just my mind, but my energy and what's coming through me is speaking to me for a greater inspiration for more and more and more um projects that really are beautiful and can be very valuable. And I I will do, but uh my question is I I think that that's an effect of how my Kundanina awakening has turned out. But just going back to Steve Jobs and um successful people, um, some of the most successful people we know, a lot of them have worn very simple wardrobes. I heard that Barack Obama actually was known to have the same suit, the same style of suit in his wardrobe. And that's it. He didn't have like casual clothes and colorful clothes because that was fewer choices for him to make each day when he had probably a hundred other tasks to take care of each day as president.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um yeah, Steve Jobs wore the same style of turtleneck every single day, even when he was not on stage. And so that was just his simple style.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So what do you do or what can you recommend as much as there's like I I think of it as kind of like the depiction of um I think it's called the Nidras in Hinduism. Um the depictions of uh people with like nine or many snakes behind them. I think that depicts Kundalin awakening and having all these channels of energy awakened.

SPEAKER_00

My dreams were full of big snakes and serpents for a couple of years. That makes sense. Good thing I'm not afraid of snakes, so yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I think that comes with the territory, but my I guess my question is what can you recommend to um focus on like one to two or your individual one to two, um, like a technique that you can recommend of your primary talents, your mission and focus, while also honoring that there are a bunch of other things you can do.

SPEAKER_00

Uh well, let's see. Um well from understanding your question. Well, first of all, I I have to back up a little bit. Wendy likes to dress me up in nicer clothes. I would run around naked if I could get away with it. So they have like shorts and a t-shirt. I'm even barefoot, I'm totally happy. Um, and I I used to tell Wendy all the time, you're like, yeah, he's just got a long-sleeve t-shirt on all the time and jeans, you know, and one of the richest guys in the world. So um so yeah, as far as clothing, I totally agree. Keep it simple and keep it comfy. But if I'm understanding your question, um what I keep coming back to over and over again is to love, over and over again to love, over and over again to love. And the offshoots of that would probably be um compassion and forgiveness and um and to not resist, to not judge, just to be present and hold space for another is such a beautiful thing. And when I do it myself, I'm just amazed at where the conversation goes. And if I don't try to strangle the conversation and you know um lead the conversation, uh, if I kind of just roll the other person, um that's and that's that's not something I probably knew how to do 20 years ago. And so I covered practice-wise over and over again the foundation is what I would just call heart-centered meditation all the time. And uh just, you know, it sounds cliche, but I just keep coming back to love over and over and over again. I have tried lots of practices, I love them all. I love you know shamanic stuff in the early days. I love, I can't even think of all the different things I've tried. And I love them all, but I just want to say the foundation of it all is just unconditional love. And um, and there's a quote I love from Israel Gardata Maharaj that says, uh, wisdom tells me I'm nothing, no thing. Love tells me I'm everything. Between the two, my life flows, and that literally feels like that's my reality. And uh there's probably still a duality there, but that's just how it feels to me.

SPEAKER_02

That's beautiful. Thank you for that answer. Yeah. That I can also add that peace is joy at rest, and joy is peace at play. Oh, I love that. It's really beautiful. I don't remember who said that first or where that comes from, but I love that quote.

SPEAKER_00

I'd like to share one more thing, real quick. Um, I don't know if I ever shared this story with you, Troy, but I was um with my ex-wife on a tour of sacred sites in England, and uh which I loved and I was excited about. And the people that were part of the tour group were really fun people, and I love everybody there except the tour leader. I couldn't stand her. She was like six feet tall, big head, big broad shoulders, mouthy, cussed all the time, and um and you know, she just didn't meet my expectation of a spiritual teacher taking us on a tour of sacred sites. And uh anyway, I just couldn't stand her. But the crazy thing was she was incredibly intuitive, incredibly clairvoyant. So I knew she knew I couldn't stand her. And so every time she'd look my way, I would just turn away, like, ah. So um England was experiencing a once every hundred year kind of heat wave, and the place we were staying had no air conditioning, and then you have the eight-hour time difference. There's jet lags. So I went to bed. I'm like, well, I know I'm not gonna sleep tonight. I'm just so I laid my hands on my heart center, and for an hour I looked at her in my mind's eye as um as an aspect of me, and which I had learned from Po Pono Pono and others, but I haven't really actually done it seriously myself, and so I laid the For an hour, just imagining her as a part of me, a big mouthy, blustery, interrupts people all the time. And um, and I kept saying, I'm sorry, I love you, please forgive me. I put my own little twist on it from uh Po Pono Pono, and I kept saying, and please come home, as if she was a part of me that I kicked out of the house. I'm sorry, I love you, please forgive me, please come home. And I did it with as much sincerity as I could muster. And I swear you would not believe the next day it was like we're best friends, we're hugging each other. She's still cussing out George Bush, who was president at the time, and what a terrible person he was, and you know, one of the evil reptilians. And but I didn't matter. I know I loved her. It's hard to put into words. I didn't, she said all the same things that annoyed me, didn't bother me at all. And it and as time went on, I actually was helping her on the tour. I was acknowledging it's not easy to grab people from all over the world and take them on a tour of spacer sites, and things don't always go the way you want. And at the end, I remember, you know, just thanking her for the tour and saying, wow, it must have taken a lot of courage to put this together. And she gives me this big hug, crying and says, Thank you. I have no idea how much that means to me. And so, on some level, I just periodically have to go back to that heart center, go back to unconditional love, and then everything shifts. And um, and that's an example of a real experiential thing that I have continued to do in my life that helps me shift when the judgments erupted me. And it's very practical.

SPEAKER_02

That is. Yeah. Thank you for that, Reminder. And I that's definitely an important practice for everyone. Yeah. If if everyone would do that, literally, if every human did that, we wouldn't have war or probably fights anymore.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. No, I was I I I would it was one of the top ten experiences of my life. I've never seen somebody I just couldn't even hardly stomach to look at. Suddenly she just we were like best friends.

SPEAKER_02

Um, John, where can everyone find your book, The Synchronicity of Love?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you can find it on Amazon.com. And uh my website is john davidladda.com. You'll find a lot of I have three books now, The Synchronicity of Love, Something True Circles, and my most recent book is called Stories from Our Future. It's about a series of dreams I've had that have been what I believe to be pre-cognitive, both in my individual life and collective for all of humanity. And it kind of became clear to me as time went on that um, in a way, all dreams are pre-cognitive. And so that was kind of the focus of the book. Um, I want to say the world really is sort of first dreamed into reality. And um and I loved writing that book. I love the stories in that book. And as you know, I host a group here in the Seattle area once a month that I call the Great Age of Transition Mentor Circle, where we gather together, people like you and I, and talk about the changes taking place in the world and try and support, mentor each other, and steward each other through the changes that are taking place.

SPEAKER_02

Beautiful, John. Thank you. Yeah, I do appreciate your mentor circles. Yeah, they've been a big um communal help to my life. Thank you so much for for your time, John. Thank you for the invitation, Troy. Really appreciate it. Of course, thank you for being on with us talking on tea time with angels and sharing your insights. I hope you all found value and benefits from that talk with John David Lada about finding balance between the spiritual and the mundane worlds. This is certainly an issue that all of us spiritualists and path psychics do sometimes struggle with, have learned to navigate. It's really a continual process of learning to navigate. So thank you so much for watching. I look forward to seeing you there. And again, you can also join the online school group. School is spelled S-K-O-O-L. School group of the Peaceful Rain Temple of Empowerment. Or you can search Peaceful Rain Temple on school, and you'll see our banner. And that is where you can both join the Tibetan Yoga membership that is also available on peacefulrain.com under the group classes tab. As well as you can join the Galactic Ambassadors Council that happens every third Saturday, and the Soul Support Circle every first Saturday. This is a beautiful time to be alive. All of what Peaceful Rain stands for as well as our division of cosmic congress, is to support the awakening, reawakening and global cohesion of humankind on earth after this great change period that we are finishing and to start building the foundations of the golden age, where we will be bringing heaven to earth. And that starts within each of us. Thank you so much for watching, and please do me a favor and stay blessed.
