Hello, hello. Welcome back to the Hotter Than You podcast. I'm your host, Leah Hotter. How are we doing today? Happy Friday. I say that every week, and you know what? Get over it. Okay. It's my intro. All right. So to be completely honest with you guys, I did not have the courage in me to record this podcast. But here the fuck I am. Okay. I texted my manager and I said, honestly, I don't think I have it in me. She says, You're gonna go record that fucking podcast, bitch. That's what I'm here for. Okay, is to hold you accountable. Coachella 2028. Okay, that's our goal. The goal of this podcast is to get me and my manager to Coachella in 2028. Is that unrealistic? I don't think so. It's 2026, okay? That's two years. Consistency. Okay, showing up when I don't fucking feel like it because I have a three-week hangover. Okay. But here I am. The only thing is you guys can't see me because honestly, I just can't show my face right now. Okay, I've committed too many sins, but you know what? I'm happy to be here and we're gonna kind of like we're gonna kind of like unravel my thoughts at the weekend. Maybe talk about some like movies I've watched, and then I'm gonna log the fuck off and come back to you guys next week a better bitch. Okay, forgive, forgiveth me. Forgiveth me. So uh okay, so let's just let's just unravel. So right now I'm drinking a Starbucks coffee. The s'mores Starbucks coffee, okay. I'm overcaffeinated right now. And this is my second one of the day. So I'm dehydrated. My pea is bright yellow, neon yellow, honestly. What the fuck? And yeah, I'm I'm ready. I'm I'm just ready to you guys. This is gonna be the worst podcast I've ever fucking done, honestly. And I've recorded a lot of podcasts. Okay, let's talk about the weekend. So, as you guys know, I went to Traver City over the weekend with some girlfriends, my estie besties. Okay, yes, you can be friends with other people in the industry, and it's not like rival rivalry. Okay, yes, we're competitors. No, we're not actually. Okay, here's the thing: we all have our own niches, we all have our own vibe, we all have our own personalities, and there's enough people for all of us, okay? It's no big deal, all right? We support each other. That's what girls do, okay? They support each other, and even if you're in the same industry in the same region, okay, it's it's okay. So Friday, you know, we get in the car, we're driving up there, and the air quality is just getting significantly worse as we're driving up there to the point where my eyes are starting to burn, okay? And I was like, oh my God, like are we even gonna be able to do this this weekend? Like the air, like it's smoke. Okay, it's pure smoke. And I'm gonna tell you right now that smoke did not stop us from having a lit ass weekend, okay? The amount of martinis and Adderall that I consumed is is I should be I should be dead. Okay, and I say that lightly. Um yeah, I consumed a lot of martinis and Adderall. So, like my sleep and my brain right now are actually fried. Like I am fried. I am I'm unwell still, and it's Thursday. Like, this is I'm recording the day before this should be out. Okay. So Friday was fun. Um, I wore this like cute, like lace kind of dress. However, my stomach was giving pregnant. My stomach was kind of giving pregnant. Um, I was really bloated. Um, that might be from like the plan B I had to take. I'm a hot fucking mess, you guys. Like, actually, I'm taking six weeks off of everything. Okay. Do not come near me with your penis. Do not come near me with alcohol, and do not come near me with drugs. Okay. I'm locking in. I'm going to the gym. I'm drinking water because this week is hell for me. Okay. It's hell. So that first night we went to this restaurant called Boat House, and I ordered lamb chops, and they were pretty fucking good. Um, I don't even remember that night, you guys. Oh my god, I was on a I was on a not a tour bus, a party bus. And I was like, my pussy was out for sure. There was this stripper pole, and I was just like doing crazy things down it, and like I don't know. And then like my friends were like, Leah, we have to go. Like, if my friends did not drag me off that bus, that bus was going two hours away. I would have stayed on the bus and been lost two hours away. That's how fucking stupid I am. And that's why I need responsible people around me when I go out. Like, my friends are all responsible and they are responsible for me. Because I I can't take care of myself, okay? I would have been stranded in a town two hours away. A hundred percent I would have been. Okay. I don't even remember getting home that night. I don't. Okay. And yeah, I made out with multiple people, like including my friend. And yeah, so then we woke up Saturday off one hour of sleep. We went on a wine tour and like, you know, consumed a shit ton of wine. I'm just hammered the whole weekend. But you know what? My heart and soul needed it. It did. It gave it gave me that like college vibe again of like just go, go, go. But I don't have that college like aftermath anymore. Like, I'm down. Okay, I'm down. Like, I probably will be down until Monday. A whole f over a week. So we did that, and then we went out, but like I literally could not hang anymore the second night. I came back and fell asleep, and I woke up so confused at four in the morning when I got home. Like, I was like, wait, like, where was I? Was I with you guys? Did I just pass out? Like, I couldn't even remember. That's how fucked up we all were. And then by Sunday, my friend's aura ring said that she slept an hour and 30 minutes. Like we were dead. And then Sunday I barely slept because it was just all that like shit inside of me, all the substances, and like it just I couldn't sleep. Like it was almost like I was so my body was in so much stress that it like couldn't relax. Like my nervous system was like shot. So I couldn't, like, I couldn't even sleep Sunday night. Okay, so long story short, I had a crazy fucking weekend, and I'm taking a long break because that's not okay. The weekend before that, I I did the golf outing and was like that was crazy. Like it's too much. Okay, it's too much for mommy. I need a break. Okay, stay away from me. If you do not ask me to go out. Okay, do not ask me to go out. I don't want to go out. We can you can come over. Okay, you can come over. And we can like square dance or some shit. All right, but don't ask me. Don't ask me to go get a martini because I will say yes. Can you hear my heavy breathing still? Lord have mercy. Okay, so yes. Let me take a drink. Yes, I take a drink on the fucking podcast, okay, because my throat gets dry. And you're gonna wait for me. Okay. I am just a wild girl. And will I ever calm down? I I have calmed down in my life, okay? A lot. The last like six years of my life, I mean, I was pretty calm. Like I was in a relationship, I was raising my kids. Um, would I go out sometimes? Yeah. But like for the most part, I was like pretty much a stay-at-home mom that like worked one day a week. When I'm in a relationship, I'm much more like chill because they like hold me, they hold me down. They hold me the fuck down. All right. I have nobody holding me down right now. My kids, okay. I still take care of them. They're number one. Okay, this is like a little sliver. A little sliver in in my life. Okay, have you guys seen the movie Obsession? No? Yes. I just watched it a couple nights ago with crippling anxiety from the weekend. Crippling anxiety, okay? No sleep. I'm already seeing things, okay? I'm already hallucinating alone from the weekend, okay? And I put that shit on alone in my house. And I'm just like, the doors are locked. I'm like chattering my teeth watching this movie. And let me tell you, Bear can get it. Bear can get it in the moaning. Okay, he's fine. That man is fine. Okay, I highly recommend this movie if you like spooky stuff. I love spooky season. Spooky season is my favorite. Spooky season loves me. I like this. I already said this to you guys. I'm ready to go to haunted houses. I'm ready for that time of year. Okay, and it's July. Like, I don't care. I'm ready for fall for the leaves to change and to watch scary movies and like go to the haunted house and like have a boyfriend. Do I want a boyfriend? I don't know. So yeah, the movie obsession. So kind of spoiler spoiler alert. I mean, you guys kind of get the gist, right? This guy buys a one wish willow, which let me go buy a one wish willow. Okay, do they work? Because I have some, I have some wishes to make. Okay. And they're not good. Okay. He buys a one wish willow and wishes for this girl that he likes to be only in love with him. And it backfires on him because she's utterly obsessed with him to the point where she stands at the door all fucking day while he's at work and pisses and shits her pants. Literally. Like it's it's crazy. It's like, it's just a good movie. Like, I love spooky. Like, do I need to say that again? Do I really need to say that again? And uh the acting was phenomenal. Bear is foin. Okay, the girl's cute. And it's just like a good, it's a good spooky movie. Okay. Pretend it's spooky season tonight, light a fall candle and watch the movie. Like it's fun. Like, I love spooky shit. So um another thing that I'm like obsessed with right now, I don't know why, is um the Appalachian Mountains. Like, I have like an obsession with like the mythical the mythical stories. And as we know, the Appalachian Mountains have been around for fucking millions of years, I'm pretty sure, since Pand Pangea. Pangea. Actually, how the fuck do you pronounce that? Pangea? Let's look it up. How long have the Appalachian Mountains been around? Oh the bedrock began roughly 1.1 billion years ago. You guys, they they have history. Okay, they have history. They've been around for a fucking minute since Pangea. Pangea. Pangea. Um, so yeah, the Appalachian Mountains are big as fuck and they're old as fuck. And like the amount of stories and like people going missing in these mountains intrigue me. Okay, so I've been in the Appalachian Mountains going to Tennessee. I mean, I'm pretty sure that's like the Smoky Mountains are a part of the Appalachian Mountains, right? And I kind of like to like torment the fuck out of the spirits. No, like I'm not deep enough in them to where like this could actually happen, but like you're not supposed to do certain shit in the mountains, like at night. You're not supposed to whistle. Let me look it up. I ha I'm just obsessed. I'm like truly obsessed. Okay. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Right here, right here, right here. Okay. So let me read you guys the rules if you guys ever go to the Appalachian Mountains or if you guys get like stuck in them. Um, I would love to like actually hike through them. Would I want to stay the night in them? I don't think so. I think I I think I could say that I'd want to, but it once I got there, I think I would shit my pants because when I'm even staying in a cabin in Tennessee, I'm terrified that Mothman is gonna show up at my window. Have you guys heard of Mothman? He's this like grown grown, this big ass man that like looks like a moth and he has like red glowy eyes, and like hundreds of people, maybe thousands, have had like encounters with him. He's like tall as fuck and can like fly, like fly at the speed of like cars and traffic. Like this shit's scary. I'm pretty sure there's a Netflix untold stories about that. Or um, let me look it up. Netflix, um Mothman. So you guys can watch it because it's fucking creepy. Um Jesus, sorry for all the breaks. Like you're lucky I'm even here to be honest, so I'm not sorry. Oh my god, I'm so stupid. Oh my god. No Netflix Mothman. Oh my god, I can't type. Or um unsolved, maybe that's what it is. Oh yeah, okay, so Unsolved Mysteries Volume 4, Episode 5, The Mothman Revisited, which explains the history of the red the winged red-eyed creature in modern sightings. You can stream it on Netflix. So the the legend is I don't know. Okay. Yeah, he's eerie tall. He's like a humanoid, a creature with red eyes. Um, like I want to run into him so fucking bad that would like make my life. But like, it's there's no way all these people are saying seeing the same fucking thing, and like they're not just seeing shit. There's no way. There's no fucking way. Okay, so I'm gonna give you guys some tips if you guys are in the Appalachian Mountains and get stuck out there because that's kind of a dream of mine, and I need all the tips. So, first and and most important rule is if you hear your name in the Appalachian Mountains, no, you didn't. You do not acknowledge your name if someone calls your name. You don't like look around and say, Did you hear that? Okay, you pretend like you didn't because that's how they know that like you know. Okay, whatever it is, the spirits, the the skinwalkers, whatever the fuck is out there, like you do not acknowledge your name. Okay. Especially if you're alone at night. Or if that voice wakes you up from a deep sleep, do not answer. Don't acknowledge it. Keep hiking, or if you're wait woken up, do not go back to sleep. Okay, so let me just lay there and shit my pants all night. Build a fire and keep yourself awake at all costs. It knows where you are now. Stop.

Holy fuck!

I love to be scared though. Like, fuck, drop me off in them in the middle of the night. I would need a toilet strapped to my fucking ass, literally, because I would be shitting on the ground, and then they would literally find me for my shit uh trail. Second rule is just as important. If you hear screaming in the Appalachian Mountains, especially a woman's scream, no, you didn't. Ignore it at all costs and do not try to find the source. It could be foxes baiting, it could be a person in actual need of help, or it could be something you don't even want to know about. It's never a good idea to risk it. It says you follow that scream and no one will find your body. I don't want to die out there, you guys. I don't want to. Fuck. Okay. Third rule. Never whistle at night. Not to get your buddy's attention, not to try to keep your mind busy, not even as a stem to keep yourself awake. If you whist, you're telling the whole damn forest and all the things in it, here I am, come and get it. Come and get it, daddy. Come and get it, mothy. Fine ass. Like, literally, why does he have abs, though? Go look up Mothman. He has abs, okay. Hmm. Rule number four. When you seal your tent up for the night before sleeping, you seal that thing tight. You seal it tight. Guys, I'm fucking so sleep deprived still. You seal the outing toy, alright? I need to go to sleep and it's Thursday. Dead ass. Okay, hold on. I'm like making myself cry. You steal the outing toy.

Okay. Okay.

If anything gets in, that sunset you saw through the trees will be your last. Most things in the mountain will see a tent and think nothing of it. And the smarter things will leave it well enough alone. If they see no way in see no way in. Make sure your tent has no holes anywhere. Okay, fifth thing. If you want to sleep under the stars, you build a big fire enough to burn through the night until sunrise. It's not to keep you warm. Okay. Rule number six if you see a deer lying on the ground, no matter what time of day it is, do not stand there and gawk at it. What does gawk at it mean? Like, look at it. Gawk. Do not touch it. Run, run, run. Okay. There's a lot of rules. Okay. Finally, rule number seven. This one's dark. Okay, so this must be crazy. Like, these are soul-snatching creatures. Okay? They're soul-snatching. Like, you don't want them to take your soul. Okay, rule number seven. If you get attacked by a human or an animal, you fight tooth and nail to save your life. But if something else catches you, just give in. So if you're attacked by a human, you fight. Something else, why give in though? Okay. If you carry a sidearm, make sure you got two bullets in it. If you can scare off or hurt a thing that's attacking you and it isn't an animal, you shoot one bullet at it. If it don't run off, you know what to do with the other one. So it's saying you'd rather die than like let this thing get you. Okay. Yeah, don't whistle in the woods, period. Day, night, doesn't matter, don't do it. The woods are not our domain. Okay? They're not our friends. If you heard it, saw it, smelt it, felt it, no, you didn't. So like even if you I've read a lot of stories where people just like sense that like something's there. You don't acknowledge it, okay? So I know a lot of you guys probably are not getting dropped off in the Appalachian Mountains anytime soon. Um I just got a weird text. Charlie's saying she's going home a home friend today. What? Okay, what the fuck? Um, you're not going home with a friend. She's saying she's a going home friend. Okay, I gotta log off. Alright, thank you guys for hanging out with me. I'm sorry this podcast was ass. Um, but I'm gonna really regather myself and drink a lot of water and sleep so that I can see you guys next week in a better light and stay out of those Appalachian Mountains, alright? Love you guys.
