This episode is a banger! We went a little long but had so much fun! We bring back “What’s That City?” With a Niagara Falls inspired city. Finally we explore dimension evolutions for our newly created Pokemon and come up with cool WXYZA moves for each!

SPEAKER_02And this is Pokemon Round Table. Welcome back, everybody. It's episode four of Pokemon Roundtable. And we are live coming to you from the Sunshine State of Florida.
SPEAKER_01We're star we missed Monday for releasing episode four. But it's just so hard because on Sunday we had to wake up at four and go travel. So we have a new theory on making our podcast. We download we record on Wednesdays and publish on on the Mondays.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Wednesdays are a lot less busy of a day in our household, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And we kind of like to be lazy on Sundays.

Okay, I know the answer to this, but what's our inspiration for this week's What's That City?

SPEAKER_02Niagara Falls. Okay, so what do we know about Niagara Falls?
SPEAKER_01Very weekendly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I've been to Niagara Falls. It's uh exactly what you think it'd be. It's very, very big fall. Did you know that some people put themselves in a barrel and go down Niagara Falls? I don't think it ends up very well for those people. I don't I think most of the time it's an unsuccessful attempt.
SPEAKER_01You mean they?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I don't think it's I don't think it's a good ending for those folks, so.
SPEAKER_01Oh I'll never compete in barrel waterfalls anymore.
SPEAKER_02That'd be a cool part of the game.
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_02Is if there was a barrel challenge?
SPEAKER_01For like a gym leader.
SPEAKER_02You could put your Pokemon inside of a barrel and see if it I bet it would lap it would survive.
SPEAKER_01Only if it's a water type though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's true. That would probably be a pretty big HP hit. What if that was a move? And you could send the opposing Pokemon in a barrel down the fall and that made it faint.
SPEAKER_01There's already a move called Waterfall.
SPEAKER_02Could we call this barrel fall?
SPEAKER_01Let's just move on.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, your look says no on your face. Okay. Bad idea, Dad.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so.
SPEAKER_02Tell me about the tell me about our city that we're creating.
SPEAKER_01Its name should be Waterfall Shores.
SPEAKER_02Love it. Love it.
SPEAKER_01Okay. And here's what we know about it.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01The waterfall sit splits the city in half.
SPEAKER_02I love that. Because Niagara kinda is like half on the American side, half the Canadian side, if I remember correctly.
SPEAKER_01And it has very modern architecture. But it has some monkey houses.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's known for its art and barrel races.
SPEAKER_02Maybe it could have like distinct architecture on one side and distinct architecture on the other side, and they're like completely different.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Maybe the monkey houses are on the other side. Still my breakfast. Sorry guys. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, we're back.
SPEAKER_01Sorry about that.
SPEAKER_02We got a little bit of cleaning up to do around here. So what's that city we got? Water what was it?
SPEAKER_01Waterfall shores.
SPEAKER_02Waterfall shores. We got some monk monky architecture on one side. And some modern architecture on the other. Anything else else we want to add to the waterfall shores?
SPEAKER_01Well, also thing is for the waterfall.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Yep.
SPEAKER_01But you can only use Pokemon.
SPEAKER_02Only the bravest slash dumbest people participate. Do you think Magikarp would do it? He's pretty worthless. But isn't he like a fish? So he'd probably survive actually, ironically. Hmm. For those of you paying attention, Magikarp's probably the Pokemon that I know the most the m know the most about.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Alright, so I think that's it for What's That City. What uh what else do we want where do we want to move on to next?
SPEAKER_01The gimmick of the region.
SPEAKER_02Okay. What are we thinking this week for episode four? I know you got a lot of big ideas for this episode.

SPEAKER_01Um, so maybe for the one of the gimmicks we could do, we have like you have a power ball. Oh, that's too much like Loquiam.
SPEAKER_02Loquian?
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02What's Loquim? Did you make that word up?
SPEAKER_01It makes Pokemon go fair. So maybe we can do really hard. Maybe we can do umension evolution.
SPEAKER_02Love that. That sounds very cool. I love it already. Okay, so what do we do? Where do we go from here? Dimension evolution. Maybe what is that?
SPEAKER_01We're based on your dimensional ring, a dimensional necklace.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01That holds a dimensional sphere. Okay. Your Pokemon has to hold an X, Y, Z, W, or A sphere. Okay. And if they're holding one, they can dimension evolve. And if they're holding an A, they'd do a one. They'd have an A move, but they'd all be in the same form.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02So when you're talking dimension, are you talking about like another spot in the universe? Like, that's what I think of dimension. Or are you thinking of something different?
SPEAKER_01Dimension as in W XYZ.
SPEAKER_02Okay.

SPEAKER_01So depending on which here your Pokemon is holding, it will have a different move that comes along with its dimension evolution. Like if it's holding an A move, maybe it can run it uses an A-type move.
SPEAKER_02Okay. What would be an example of an A-type move?
SPEAKER_01Well, A-type is only for like the game. It's only for the mechanic.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01An A-type example move would be could be universe alligator. It has to have an A.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I think an alligator. Alligators are cool.
SPEAKER_01No, Dad, Dad, you're not gonna get right. Like it won't turn into like a universe crocodile.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01That would be like a move, like an example.
SPEAKER_02Gotcha.
SPEAKER_01It's hard to come up like right away.
SPEAKER_02That makes sense. I like it.
SPEAKER_01But we're not gonna do universe crocodile, because crocodiles I mean alligators don't exist. There's just there's just alligator Pokemon.
SPEAKER_02Gotcha. Okay.
SPEAKER_01So should we create some for our fully drawn starter Pokemon?
SPEAKER_02Let's do it.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Do we have a little struggles?
SPEAKER_02So the ones that we've created so far are pulling it up, refresh my memory. Um we had was it snow snow or snow pack, slow pack? What were the ones that we created? I know mine had the fire tail.
SPEAKER_01Flame tail.
SPEAKER_02Flame tail.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02It was based on a wolverine. Incinerine.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Incinerine. Mine was MC Seal.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then what was the grass darter? Snowbug. Yeah. No, remember your is flame.
SPEAKER_02Flame mine, that's right.
SPEAKER_01And my grass type was.
SPEAKER_02Okay, we're back. We did our research. Went back to episode three to remind ourselves. So we have for a deer.
SPEAKER_01Flame.
SPEAKER_02An ant seal. So which one do we want to do our dimension evolution for first?
SPEAKER_01For a deer.
SPEAKER_02Okay, let's go. Himmy with it.
SPEAKER_01So m first let's create its form when it dimension the horse.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So this one's based on kind of a deer.
SPEAKER_01Deer and a forest.
SPEAKER_02Deer and a forest.
SPEAKER_01What if it what if its antlers turn in what if its body turns into the ro what if its legs turn into like roots?
SPEAKER_02Yeah?
SPEAKER_01And out of it back out of its back comes out a big cherry tree.
SPEAKER_02Love it.
SPEAKER_01No, like a big cherry bush.
SPEAKER_02Cherry bush with root feet.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And then for its head, you know how it has those tree antlers?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Maybe they combine together and go really, really hot.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And all one tree with two branches.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I love that.
SPEAKER_01Now you have to come up with the A move for it.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01For it's A-type move, maybe we can do ambishus ambitious leafinator.
SPEAKER_02That sounds amazing. What's ambitious?
SPEAKER_01A leafinator.
SPEAKER_02A leaf a leaf or a leaf?
SPEAKER_01A leaf.
SPEAKER_02With an F. Like a tree leaf.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Makes sense. Theme here. Like it. So what would that do?
SPEAKER_01It gathers a whole bunch of leaves. Like this big, big, big pile.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01And it shoots and it uses its A-type power, which is the multiplication.
SPEAKER_02Okay?
SPEAKER_01The multiplication part of the W XYZW. A. Okay?
SPEAKER_02I love that.
SPEAKER_01And it multiplies it and then it shoots it out at its opponent a million thousand times.
SPEAKER_02Like an air cannon?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I love that. That would seem like that would that would be a powerful move.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Would it make the other Pokemon faint instantly?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02All types, or would it be more effective against certain types and less All types. It would just just maybe not destroy, but be very devastating for all types of Pokemon that got hit with that. I love that.
SPEAKER_01Now we have to come up with it to X. No, we do an XX then.
SPEAKER_02Okay, let's do X.
SPEAKER_01So for an X type move, maybe we can do an evolution of ice cutter.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So the X stands for extra.
SPEAKER_01What does X?
SPEAKER_02Doesn't it have to have like an X in the word? Like A was ambitious.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. Extra ice blade.
SPEAKER_02Extra ice blade. Love it.
SPEAKER_01It uses a sword comes out of its chest and it dashes towards the opponent.
SPEAKER_02So are we still talking about the uh where it's got the roots for feet?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so that stays the same, but the move changes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Gotcha. I just want to make sure we're on the same page here.
SPEAKER_01For its Y move, it has.
SPEAKER_02That's a cool. Cool Y word.
SPEAKER_01Yielding for Yielding Forest.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Maybe it's maybe it's antlerslash cherry bush could come to life and hit it or something.
SPEAKER_01Its roots, its feet goes into the ground, absorbing the nutrients from the enemy and brings it back up, fainting the Pokemon and healing the user.
SPEAKER_02Love it.
SPEAKER_01Okay, time for its S type. I mean it's Z type moon.
SPEAKER_02What about okay? Go with me here. Zero earth and the roots dig down into the ground and suck the ground below the opposing Pokemon's feet and pull it down super far down into the earth. Like a like yeah, like a uh sinkhole where the earth just like falls apart below your feet and you just fall down into the earth.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we can do zero ground.
SPEAKER_02Wow, I just created one. I feel like it's pretty good too.
SPEAKER_01It's time for flimmer.
SPEAKER_02Wait, wait, wait, do we do W?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02We want to do W?
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02Okay. I feel like we came up with some sweetie. Let's just. So what do we think is the most devastating of the XYZWA moves? I'm obviously pretty pretty partial to my Z move. But I feel like the. What was the one that shot the was A? The one that shot all the leafs at a supersonic speed?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That one's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that has to be Dudley.
SPEAKER_02You think that's the most powerful of the moves that we created?
SPEAKER_01Now time for Flame Mine.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Flame Mine. What if we have like it?
SPEAKER_02So are we doing A?
SPEAKER_01No, we have to create some form first.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01It has nine tails.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01But they like kind of go down and touch the ground and come back up again. It's fully white, it only has some like red stripes right here and right here.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And its head goes aerodynamic. And it has a mane.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I can already see the A move coming to life here.
SPEAKER_01Okay, for the A move, we have gotta go with Sun and Arrow, right?
SPEAKER_02For the aerodynamic.
SPEAKER_01What not?
SPEAKER_02Aeroflame?
SPEAKER_01All out nine type nine tail let's mash.
SPEAKER_02Arrow mash?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Dad, that's the uh okay, bad idea, Dad. Let's stay on track. Okay, what are you thinking?
SPEAKER_01All out there we go. Nine type nine tailed mash.
SPEAKER_02Love it.
SPEAKER_01Actually, that's too long. Maybe we can just go with Arrowtail.
SPEAKER_02Arrowtail? Flying tails of fire?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02Okay, what's arrowtail? Is that just what you described and that's a better name?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's just what I
SPEAKER_02Okay, I love it. Where easier to remember, that's for sure.
SPEAKER_01Where it drills its tails into the ground, absorbing the type of n nine types, and coming up underneath the opponent and coming up in front of the opponent and striking down like a rain of arrows.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Okay, so now time for its A. X. Smoot. No W.
SPEAKER_02Okay, W.
SPEAKER_01What should I do for its W movie?
SPEAKER_02Wing. Kind of keep with the aerodynamic.
SPEAKER_01Wing strike.
SPEAKER_02Wing strike?
SPEAKER_01Where its tails kinda turn into a helicopter.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01It flies up high. And it comes charging down at the speed of light.
SPEAKER_02Love it.
SPEAKER_01Hey now time for X-Me.
SPEAKER_02Okay. X-ray.
SPEAKER_01X-Wildfire.
SPEAKER_02X-Wildfire.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Basically, it combines all its energy into its into one of its tails.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01It's the fire type tail.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01And it de attack and it uses its its tail. Keeps on going and going, making a huge ball of fire. Shooting it right in front of the opponent. And causing a wire of fire around the po opponent.
SPEAKER_02I love that.
SPEAKER_01Then it sneaks.
SPEAKER_02Y.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Why?
SPEAKER_02Moo is Y Wildfire. Probably not. Uh Y words. Youth. Uh your you um. Yellow. Yellow flame. Yellow fire. Yellow tail. Flame gets so hot that it's just straight yellow.
SPEAKER_01Yellow underworld.
SPEAKER_02Yellow underworld. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Where a massive sinkhole opens up, taking it into space up and over and over and over until it starts suffocating. And then it goes to the underworld.
SPEAKER_02Love it. While we were doing that one, I got a good Z word.
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_02Zap. Zap fire, zap strike, zap shock.
SPEAKER_01Zap ray.
SPEAKER_02Zap ray.
SPEAKER_01Where it uses all of its tails that make a ray of fire.
SPEAKER_02I think that's our winner. I think that's our strongest move.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I love it. I think we crushed it.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Okay, last one, impseal. Give us a 10-second recap on who Impseal is.
SPEAKER_01It's a walrus that's bipedal, very slender.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Has arms. And it holds its tusks.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And its tusks are lances.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Maybe for the A-type move, we can do angel lance.
SPEAKER_02Love it. Tell me about Angel Lance.
SPEAKER_01Rose, it jumps up so high that it comes down with two drilling tusks.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01It has to mean something like religious holy.
SPEAKER_02Wait, did we change did we discuss what its body changes to?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02We should probably do that first.
SPEAKER_01It turns into a stack of round fat steel seals. And it tusks no it grows really tall. Its tusks grow to this.
SPEAKER_02Multiple tusks or one huge tusk?
SPEAKER_01Its tusks fuse into one the size of a salapti coming from a cloud down to earth.
SPEAKER_02Got it. I think that fits in nicely with our A. So we're good there. W, should it start with water? Water tusk? Water strike?
SPEAKER_01No, it has to start it has to mean something religious.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Um water. My mind's stuck on water.
SPEAKER_01Oh, like how Jesus walked on water.
SPEAKER_02Ooh.
SPEAKER_01Water walk.
SPEAKER_02Water walk.
SPEAKER_01Water walk cloud lands.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Where it makes it rain, it starts flooding.

SPEAKER_01And it starts walking on the water. And then suddenly it's it throws its tusk up and it comes down striking the opponent. Love it. Like sun.

SPEAKER_01And I also added the flood, cuz 40-day flood. Just so good. I have to add it.
SPEAKER_02Have to.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, I have to add it.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And it star and it flood keeps on flooding for form 40 moves.
SPEAKER_02Okay. X? Did we do extra?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we've done extra.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Um X.
SPEAKER_01Uh Has to be something religious.

SPEAKER_01I think we can do the exiled in Babylon.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Because we could use a move called Exiled Lions name.
SPEAKER_02Love that. It's way better than my idea. It's You're so good at this.
SPEAKER_01Where it shoots water beams with the shape of a lion's head.
SPEAKER_02I love that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's pretty great, right?
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01Now we gotta come up with it.
SPEAKER_02Y and Z.
SPEAKER_01Y move. I think we should do something with Pentecost.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Why? I'm just trying to think of a Y word to even give us some inspiration here. It's kind of hard to do this off the top of my head. I'm not as creative as you.
SPEAKER_01Yellow light.
SPEAKER_02Yellow light?
SPEAKER_01Like how Jesus rose up from the dead and the angels were made of light, which is usually depicted by Yale.
SPEAKER_02Love it. Yellow light.
SPEAKER_01So how does that uh no yellow zenith light.
SPEAKER_02Well maybe we could say zenith for Z.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Yellow light.
SPEAKER_02Yellow light.
SPEAKER_01Where empseal it loses half of its HP on the first turn by getting nailed to a circle.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01I don't want I think the Bible's copyrighted. That far I'm saying a circle.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Good thinking. Good thinking. Always one step ahead. I love it.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. And uh then the next for the next three turns, it cannot be hit by moves and it's sealed a because it's sealed away in a tomb.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And then on the fourth move, no, for two turns, it can't be damaged. Because it's in a tomb.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01And then on the third move, it rises up from the dead. And yellow lights start striking by opponent.
SPEAKER_02Love it.
SPEAKER_01Now time for the Z.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so we wanna go with something zenith.
SPEAKER_01Zenith Sin. What?
SPEAKER_02No, I like it. I'm excited to hear what you have in mind for this.
SPEAKER_01Dark Force is surrounding Impsil. It turns those dark forces and uh flashes of yellow light and throw them in a cross-shaped pattern on the opponent. It's fantastic.
SPEAKER_02Okay, what's our what do you think is our most powerful of the moves that we just created for Impsil? Um yellow light?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yellow light was good because it can't get damaged for two turns.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I think that the opponent would be like, wow, this is incredible, what's going on here? Be very confused.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'm gonna have to say water walk was pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, water walk was cray. Why did I say cray? Was very cool. Loved it. Okay, guys. We just did a whole lot of creation. We went way over a lot of time, but that's okay. We were having too much fun with too many ideas just flowing through us.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so wait, hold on. The Favin and Arriva Der Chick.
