Uh chapter seven. I think we had the big boys coming from downtown, Jerusalem, to check out Christ and the disciples and you know, really using their traditions to try to get things uh back into their court as far as authority goes. Christ just really lays it down with the opposition to their traditions being the word of God. You know, some of the main points are the the fact that you can take the word of God and twist it a little bit and make it a tradition, which is not good, um, obviously. I think if you if you're just true to Christ and true to the word of God, you know, you'll you'll be alright. If you have ears to hear and let let them hear that that that whole thing kind of came up in there, and uh we had the the Greek and Serophonician woman, which I love, I love the parable. I love the fact that she answered Christ with that, you know, kind of in that parable. It's like the confidence that she was in the house too. Yeah, yeah. It was it was great. So I'm I'm just a little pet dog that needs to, you know, get I I can live off those crumbs that fall off the children's table. You know, it's enough. Ended up him healing that tongue, the the deaf and dumb man, and um brought up a great point. It's like you have first you gotta be able to hear before you can speak. So I think that's kind of the transition to the neck next chapter into chapter eight.

Yeah. One of my favorite things that I kept looking after we we went through seven, I looked at this week is the is Isaiah and the connection. You know, Christ quotes Isaiah to them. Yeah. And and then he he shows them that they're they're basically that clay that says that you know, even though you created me, now I'm on my own and I know better than you. And and uh and he you know, the the the creator, the word of God, the words that spoke the whole world and everything into existence is in front of them, breaking everything down. And and that's fulfillment, right in Isaiah. It's so beautiful to me.

That's great. It's like, I mean, you you brought up that that great point. It's like the out they're they're concerned about washing the outside of the cups, you know, dirty cups and such. You mind leading us in prayer? Get us pre-prayered and pre-con I like that saying, it's hard for me to say, but I would love to. Heavenly Father, thank you uh for this opportunity. We get to come together, we get to study your word, we get to share the things that that you shared with us. We just pray that you can open our hearts and our ears and our minds and our eyes to understand the things that um you teach us out of your word. I just pray that you can guide us and guide anybody that happens to be listening into a deeper relationship with you and your son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. So we're gonna we're gonna get into another feeding, another feeding of the multitude. It's pretty exciting.

Very exciting. Now he's been telling them all along that you gotta understand this, and the reason that you didn't get all these things is because you didn't understand it, and he's gonna give her round two.

Yeah. Mark chapter eight. In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him and said unto them, I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days and have nothing to eat. And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way, for divers of them came from far. I like the King James, right? This I mean, why do we why do we read out of the King James? Tell me. I think it's keyed to number one, the strongest concordance, so that you can take every single word and go look it up. Sometimes you get some tongue twisters in there, but it seems to be the most accurate to the manuscripts.

I digress. It's uh it's a different manuscript than 99% of what other translations use. Like you said, everything's coded to it, and you can pull it out and you can look at it and you can break it down. A lot of tools that go with it. That I own. I don't need to reinvest.

So divers of them. Divers of them. That's what got me off in the King James for. And his disciples answered him from whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? How are we gonna do this again?

Three days. They uh have been absent from his teachings for three days, and he's having compassion on them. Does it remind you of a time period that's coming up? Yeah. Yeah. And he feeds them. Love it.

Yeah, it's definitely a picture of today, right? Not not necessarily the absence from him, but um, you know, the three days that he spent, you know, in the grave. And then now it's kind of our responsibility to start sowing those seeds and creating the bread that everybody eats, including ourselves, right? Yep. Yeah, but he he did the breaking. He did the breaking. And now we do the distribute it. That's awesome. Uh verse five. And he asked them, how many loaves have ye? And they said seven. So some less less loaves this time? No, more loaves. The last the feeding of the five thousand, I'm referring to.

How many escuts did they have last time?

They had left over, they had twelve. Yeah. It was more to start with, and then more um people fed, and then more fragments or more leftovers, than the second feeding of the four thousand. Um, but I think it it almost shows that there was a small amount of a decline in the in the leftovers, in the fragments. I'm not really sure what that means uh yet, or if I will ever, but it says uh five, yeah, they had five loaves. So now they got less people, more loaves to start with, but less leftovers. And how many fish? Um I think there was two fish. Two fish is on the last one. On the first one.

These two separate feedings and the the numbers that are given in the consideration is from two time frames, two periods in history, if you were to lay them out. Like the first one is the time frame of Christ's ministry while he's in the flesh, and the second one is after the three days is equivalent to his ministry through the Holy Spirit under mankind, the age of grace, if you will.

Yeah. Oh no, there's absolutely no no chance of that whatsoever. Yeah, I mean, I think that sometimes when I struggle with things, when I'm trying to, you know, figure it out or whatever, it's like I can read more into it than maybe what it is, but I think that we gotta look at look at the circumstance and and try to understand what Christ is trying to teach us here. It's not there's nothing that he teaches that um doesn't have a lesson, and that lesson is probably on many, many different levels, you know. So we're we're trying to go deeper. I think that in getting to know Christ, you you have a desire to know things. Maybe you're maybe you overthink them sometimes, but I think that there's always room to learn, to grow, and it's inexhaustible, you know.

I don't know if you it's possible to overthink. I think you can you can be wrong and that you can think wrong, but God's huge. Yeah. And as far as numbers go and the definition of names and word studies, and you can't overthink those things. Yeah. Word word studies are huge with the word of God. Love it. You know, the word just just the Hebrew word, just for example, the Hebrew words for man. Yeah. You can't hardly properly understand the Old Testament and teachings without knowing that. Yeah. There's very, very, very different words for man, and they have spiritual significance when you're reading it. Numbers, for example. Huge in understanding it.

Five, and he asked them how many loaves have you, and they said seven. And he commanded, I think he's there's a few fish too. Okay, sorry. Uh, he commanded the people to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves and gave thanks, and broke and gave them to his disciples to set before them, and they did set them before the people. There's that same progression. It's it comes from, you know, it's it's thankful coming from from heaven, blessed through Christ to his disciples. Disciples lay it out in and it's all in order. There's no chaos to that. You know, it's all uh there's all there's a reason for it, and it's all in order. Um seven. And they had a few small fishes. There you go. And he blessed and commanded to set them also before them.

Same thing is happening here with the bread and the fishes. The bread's broke, it's distributed. The fish is blessed, it's not broken, and it's set forth.

So how many fish was in the first one?

Two.

And here is a few. A few small fishes. So you have you don't have a number now because the fish the uh this is an incredible increase in fish. Not so much in the in the bread, because the bread is inexhaustible. It comes from heaven and it comes through cr through Christ, and it it increases naturally. Yeah. And that's you know the lesson of the broken bread. The fishes is what's increasing. His words getting out there. The people are hearing, the people are eating, the people are consuming, they're seeing miracles, they're seeing these things, these uh ears are open and the moths are speaking appropriately, so the fish are small, but they're hearing and they're increasing. Yeah, nice.

Uh verse eight. So they did eat and were filled, and they took up of the broken that was left, seven baskets. So a little bit of decline in the fragments again in the the left.

How many baskets did you start with? How many loaves did you start with? On this one? Yeah.

There was uh five. So I'm sorry, seven.

Seven. And how many how many baskets are we're up in there?

SPEAKER_02 12:09

I didn't know there was gonna be math.

SPEAKER_01 12:10

It's not math. It's it's a point. It's enough. Yeah, it's enough to feed everybody till they're filled. Yep. And not only is there enough that to be filled, but seven loaves now turned into seven baskets. You're talking about the generation and the increase and all this and that. That's that's pretty generous. And where's the fish? I don't know. Consumed. Right? No, that's taken out. It's been distributed. They've probably taken it out. You don't know.

Did they did they remember to bring the fish with them on the boat coming up here?

They didn't get it from a little boy. I'm not sure what that means, but anyway. That's where they got the first fish. Oh, yeah.

And uh nine. And they that had eaten were about four thousand, and he sent them away. And straight away, immediately, that's one of our key words again.

He entered into a ship with his disciples and came unto the parts of uh Dalman Utha someday. I've I've enjoyed the the crossing over and seeing the areas. Um, and and you know, again, maybe it's I spent a lot of time in John too. I really love the Gospel of John. Uh, where it's the most of the interactions are in Jerusalem, or most of the accounts that are recorded, they're in Jerusalem. All the controversy is with Pharisees and scribes and Sadducees. Here, this ministry is all taking place around Galilee and you know, this the northern kingdom, which they really needed, they really needed the healing, they really needed the the um, you know, it was the it was the poor and the destitute, and you know, not not so much with the the higher religious authorities.

Mark takes and focuses on getting the word out. Immediately, yeah. Immediately. And the the ministry of getting the word out and the people, and that's why it's focused, you know, or getting that going. Yeah. And it's all about testimony, yeah, versus the book of John is about Christ being divine.

Yeah, yeah. Eleven. And the Pharisees came forth and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? Verily I say unto you, there shall no sign be given unto this generation. They're gonna get a sign, right? And that sign is gonna be the cross, and they're gonna stumble at it. They're not gonna be able to overcome that. Um, whereas all their traditions, you know, they they have a justification, right? But until they bow at the knees of the cross, they're they're gonna stumble.

He he tells us that they're the only sign they're gonna re receive is what? Do you remember? The sign of Jonah. The sign of the prophet Jonah. Yeah. And the prophets testify. We had just read this. The prophet in the chapter before, the prophet, the prophet, the prophets testify specifically against this generation. Yeah. And that is so that's why that testimony occurs. And that that declaration, we were just talking about getting the word out and the testimony, and that that testimony came from heaven, you know, who he is, twice at this point, and the dove remained on him, came down and remained on him. The dove is Jonah. So, right? You you hear you have that it's that's gonna be the testimony that's against them.

Yeah, they've already heard what the testimony is gonna be against them, right? Is basically what you're saying, and they're they're seeking uh the the signs and the works that Christ has already been doing, they're they're everywhere. That's why people are coming to him. That's also why they're coming to him, trying to downplay it, trying to disprove it, trying to sway the people back in their favor, right? I mean, it's like they're fighting a losing battle. They've already lost. Yeah. Three days. Three days. They're really gonna lose. Uh thirteen, and he left them, and entering into the ship again, departed to the other side. Now, 14. Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread. Neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf. It's gonna have to go stretch pretty far. No way Christ can make it go as far as where'd all those baskets go? They must did they leave them or they hand them out to the homeless? What what happened? What do you think happened?

Well, the bread got distributed. Yeah. Spiritually, spiritually speaking.

SPEAKER_02 17:26

Well, we're gonna we're gonna see it's not a physical thing anymore, right? 15. And he charged them saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of the of Herod.

Two kingdoms that that's uh set out to destroy the word, the bread.

SPEAKER_02 17:48

The leaven of the Pharisees represents um the religious sect, if you will, right? The the ones that are in authority for religion-wise, the Herodians, they they claim to be uh the king line, right? So we know in Christ, the priest line, the king line, all comes together in him. I feel like that people that are not religious, right, they're not gonna listen to religious authority anyways. Maybe they lean more towards the political side of things to the to the king side. Either way, you're getting fed through Christ, right? Whether I mean you're not looking for physical bread. If you're if you're a disciple, you're looking for spiritual bread. You're looking for that bread that comes down from heaven.

So Christ is taking and adding depth to the teaching that they've already struggling to understand. Yeah. Now he's going to the ingredients. Exactly, right? And and they're gonna he's gonna use this to open their eyes. Their spiritual eyes.

They've watched him heal all these people, their sight and their speech and their ears, and they've gone through two feedings, two miraculous feedings of people, and still to being at this point where Christ is take, like you said, taking it even deeper, maybe back to the root of it. Right? So the leaven is um pride, causes pride in that in that teaching, causes untruths in there at at to some extent and to some rate, right?

Was held back from them in the boat, the feeding before. And then they're along for the ride. They ask him, what does this mean? Can you explain this to us? And then they reason then. This, you know, they reason who he is, they reason in their heart, right? And then it it's then it gets snatched. And then, right? But Christ continues to teach them to bring them to this very moment. All these things that Christ is doing, all these healings, all these conversations, all these quotings of Isaiah, all these things is bringing them to this very moment because it's all said in them. He's sowing them. And and the reason that Christ is doing that is so they have that aha moment, yeah, and it sits. And you're gonna see, Peter, in particular, yeah, you know, that this doesn't come from Herod's Pharisees, it comes from God. Yeah, and any of that real revelation of what it means, it comes from him. Yeah, that's it. And he's this is the whole reason for this whole teaching.

It's really obvious how far off they are from grasping at that spiritual uh principle of it, right? Eventually they get it, you know, with the with the Holy Spirit coming, right? But it's a seed planted in there right now.

Yes.

16. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, Is it because we have no bread? Is he mad because we forgot to grab bread from the shore or wherever?

SPEAKER_01 20:59

They were just speaking with a group of people that notoriously has been pointed out that they reason away the teachings of God, of Christ, of the word, lawyer-like. Yeah, they receive these things, they don't have no faith in it, and then they reason it away. You know, where did he come from? Who is it, you know, and then the word becomes of none effect. And this is what is happening right now to them. Thankfully, our Savior's merciful. Amen.

17. And when Jesus knew it, he said unto them, Why reason you because you have no bread? Perceive you not, perceive ye not yet, neither understand. Question mark. Have you uh have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes see you not, having ears hear you not? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of? Of fragments took you up. And they said twelve. And when the seven among the four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? And they said seven. And he said unto them, How is it that you do not understand? That's when I started doing the math.

So what's the point? What's the point? What what's Jesus' point here of the twelve and the seven and the loaves and the baskets?

And well, along with the the warning about the leaven, I'm I'm leaning towards he he means pay attention to the teachings, where these teachings are coming from, what's going, what's what is this road eventually leading to? I'm not gonna be here all forever teaching these things to you, but I think that you know he's he's preparing them, obviously, for having deeper understanding.

He's letting them know that he's enough. He's enough. Yeah. He can take things that's given to him, multiply them back to us, and there's more. Yeah. And there's more, and there's more, and there's more. And it's inexhaustible. So do you think he couldn't take any one of those baskets and broke one of those pieces and turned it into however many he wanted left over? Of course he could.

So this is why he's the one loaf would be enough, right? There's not 5,000 people now.

So his point is it all comes from him. Yeah. And there's enough.

SPEAKER_02 23:29

When you look at the when the children of Israel were crossing over from Egypt and they're being fed manna in the desert, when you went out and collected your bread, your manna, you you collected there was enough. There's always enough. You had a big family, you had enough. Right? You have a small family, it's enough. There's not anything that was left over, what does it say? Bread worms and stank, right? So I think the I think to your point, that's that's that's gotta be tied into that as well.

So let me try to break this down. The leaven of the Pharisees and the Leaven of Herod is sp to follow the book of Mark and the teachings of Christ, it's specifically the lies of who Christ is.

That's what all the fragments are, too, right?

Like these are so what is so what is the leaven of the Pharisees? He has a devil. He on and on. It's about his testimony to him.

You gotta follow the traditions of man. You can't follow this other stuff.

So, what's the leaven of Herod? He's the John the Baptist risen from the dead. He's the you know, this is the leaven he's talking about specifically because he's talking about himself. Yeah, and this is what they're not considering. They're not considering because they don't know the cross yet. Yeah, they don't know what a broken piece of bread means. They don't know what the decision is until the end of this chapter, right? That's where that's where we're coming up to. And that's what the leaven is. And he's using this whole teaching.

Nice. So he's gonna come to the house of fish here and teach another lesson, right? 22. And he cometh to Bethsaida, and they bring a blind man unto him and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of town, out of the town, and when he had spit on his eyes and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw aught. And he, the blind man, previously blind man, looked up and said, I see men as trees walking. This is my favorite. Twenty-five. After that he put his hands again upon upon his eyes and made him look up, and he was restored and saw every man clearly. And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town nor tell it to anyone in the town. Bethsaida already had its judgment pronounced against it. It was better off for Sodom and Gomorrah than Bethsaida and Korazan and because of their unbelief.

They're leavened. They're leavened, they're all leavened up. It's because of their leaven, it's their testimony who Christ is. And he came through there and he did all this all this teaching and all these miracles and all these beautiful things, and they met it with their own leaven, and they reasoned it all away.

But even one man in this town still got the healing, but he took him out of town to do it.

SPEAKER_01 26:31

This I love this so much. This is this is like my favorite. And you think about how we ended the last chapter, Christ spitting, sticking fingers in his ear, and then his hearing comes, and then he speaks clearly. Yeah. And he tells him, Don't tell anybody. And of course, he published it abroad. Right? The same thing happens here. But he does it on the second level this time.

Now you're seeing spiritually versus and it's affecting his speech.

SPEAKER_01 27:04

So what is he what what's the little glimpse of his spiritual eyes? How do we know that he was he how his eyes were healed spiritually? Not so not just physically. He had a physical healing of his eyes, but he had a physical healing of his eyes. He's now not only seeing, but he's seeing spiritually. How do we know this?

SPEAKER_02 27:23

Well, I think he he was able to recognize he's now he's able to recognize who the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is.

SPEAKER_01 27:31

Well, that men are trees. Not necessarily the knowledge the knowledge tree. But that that that men are men as trees walking, yeah.

Christ is bread.

You know, these seeing those these parallels.

Do these trees produce fruit that he sees?

SPEAKER_01 27:50

They better be cursed and withered.

SPEAKER_02 27:52

27. So this is how this is this is coming to a head, all this stuff here, right? 27. And Jesus went out and his disciples into the towns of Caesarea Philippi. And by the way, he asked uh his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am? These trees out walking. Who do they say that I am?

Who was Herod's brother? Philip. And he had a wife. Herod had Philip's wife. So what was this region named after here? His brother. So here's your leaven. Here's your leaven right here. Pretty powerful. Yeah. He's bringing them right to it. And he's asking him.

Here's the and the next verse, too, especially, right?

Yeah, who yeah. It's in the same verse. Who do men say that I am?

SPEAKER_02 28:41

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01 28:42

Beware the leaven. And the leaven is a testimony of who Christ is.

SPEAKER_02 28:46

And they, these men, said, or they say, they answered John the Baptist, again, beheaded by Herod. Um heard him gladly, but yet still beheaded him. They answered John the Baptist, but some say Elijah, and others one of the prophets. Jesus was a prophet, which he was, but that's not all he was. He's a prophet by the fact that the words that the prophets speak came from Christ, even before Christ walked the face of this earth. Anyways, I dig I digress again. 29. And he saith unto them, But whom say you that I am? And Peter answers and says unto him, Thou art the Christ. Why Peter is a bold, faithful, just throwing himself right into it. Blessed art thou, Simon Bar Jonah, or son of Jonah, right? Well, that's Bar. Bar Jonah, son of Jonah. Son of Jonah, yeah. For flesh and blood did not reveal the stories of my father.

It brings us back to the beginning of what this wicked generation is gonna see. What testimony is gonna be right? Yeah. This is why Peter's right here. This is why he's speaking up. We're talking three days. He was talking the testimony.

If he would have held his peace, there would have been trouble. Right? He wouldn't, he's not allowed to not speak this and that this is not recorded. This is very important to wrap up the whole teaching, you know, the whole gospel of Mark up to this point. 30. And he charged them that they should tell no man of him. It's not time yet. Did they listen? There's anybody. It's recorded. It's recorded that they listened. It doesn't say they haven't. 31. And he began he and he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and after three days rise again. So it's time after all the teachings kind of leading up to this. This is the change in his ministry a little bit to where it's he's he's revealing to them especially that this is going deeper than uh than just a earthly kingdom.

I'm gonna get ahead a little bit to ten in my mind. Every time I read this verse, it reminds me of chapter 10 when they're going up to Jerusalem. And he had just told him he's gonna be rejected and he's gonna be killed, and they're gonna do all these things to him. And he tells then he's going to Jerusalem. He just told them they're gonna do this to him. He's going to Jerusalem, and he says to his disciples, come on. And they they they look at him and they marvel. They marvel that at him that he's going to joy with joy and gladness to what he had just told, right? And so I always think of this. Yeah. I always think of Peter when this when this happens and and what's going on, you know, is he knows it's true. It's been revealed to him, you know, and it's just that he knew the extent of all the suffering, all the pain, everything that was going to happen, and he told them, and they looked at him like, why we can't why can't we be like that?

If it's in your power to stop something, right? If you if you truly believe that it's in your power to stop something, especially like this, you almost feel obligated, don't you? Like there's some pridefulness of yourself that says, Oh, I'm gonna I'm gonna I can put a stop to this. Don't worry. Maybe there's I got you.

Maybe there's obligation if you have some lack of faith in the words that were spoken.

Yeah.

That's what happens. Is you don't truly believe deep down, and they do now. After you know, after it all happened in the resurrection, that's that's what changed it.

Yeah, that's when the the real slanging happens. Amen. You know, 32, and he spoke that saying openly, and Peter took him and began to rebuke him. So bless that, Peter.

One thing when we read 31, we didn't point out the three days. Yeah, it's no coincidence that it's in this chapter with the feeding after three days. Yeah. And he and this is when it when it commences, and he's building it. He's building that teaching, and he's removing that leaven of all these things of who they say he is. And then as he's pulling this out, he gets this wonderful testimony from Peter from heaven. This is a picture of the Holy Spirit, Jason. Amen. This is a picture of the Holy Spirit after Christ dies, raises from the grave, and they've all been fed, and then that water of the Holy Spirit is placed on them in their eyes, and they see spiritually, this is a picture of it. This is what's gonna happen to Peter. This is this is it right here. It's a look ahead.

Yeah, we're getting a little preview. It's just uh peeling back that veil a little bit. There's angels everywhere, angels everywhere. Uh, so he rebuked him, which you know that's probably not a good move for any disciple of Christ. So I'm just saying, I don't know. 33. Are you speaking from experience? You still be wounded. Listen, Jesus, Jason, I got this. Jesus, I got this. Don't don't worry about it. I got this. You don't have to worry about it. 33. But when he had turned about and he looked on his disciples, Jesus looked around at his disciples, and he's he's like, I gotta put a stop to this.

This is one of the reasons why I marvel at 10. Yeah. When he's going up to Jerusalem, because the same thing happens. He looks around at his disciples.

He's just it's so connected to me. Fast forward into the New Testament and a lot of Paul's writings, a lot of Paul's rules and instructions, if you will.

Well, it's it's uh doing things that benefit other believers or other potential believers. You can have all the authority and all the power in the world because of your belief, but if you're doing things that are causing others less faithful to stumble, you need to stop doing that stuff, right? So Jesus looks around at his disciples.

Says it for them. Um, he knew he already knew what Peter was going to be all about, you know. Uh looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter. Get thee, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan. For thou savorest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. Reminds me of the traditions a little bit. How quickly we fail.

Do you uh you get the proclamation that's not necessarily recorded here? Does that cause some swelling, a little pride and a little boasting inside of you? You know, you get this this little glimpse, this little insight of what the kingdom really is, spiritually speaking. And it's like, okay, now I'll take this back over, Jesus.

This is a kind of a thorn. That's what we deal with is the flesh. So he has this great spiritual insight. Yeah. That is from God, 100%. Give it a second. Here comes the flesh.

Here's the here's the thorn to remind you, you still need Jesus. You can't do you can't do all this stuff on your own. 34. And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples, also he said unto them, Whomso whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. Self confront, deny yourself. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospels, the same shall save it.

You know, it's dedication versus commitment. You know, it's uh it's the old uh uh the analogy of breakfast.

The egg and the which one's dedicated and which one's committed. Yeah, which one's first. You know, well, which one, you know, the egg is the egg the the chicken gives the egg to breakfast. So he's dedicated to it. The pig gives his life for it, he's committed to it. Right? So you understand what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. You you're gonna you're gonna l you you can you can be on the outskirts, you know, and not give everything. That's not how what that's not what Christ wants.

Acts chapter five, right, shows us that that you know no one else dared join unto the disciples at that at that point, right? So there's that you're willing to follow, but not necessarily take yeah, take that next step, right? Um thirty-six. For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

There's nothing here, possession-wise, that matters in comparison to the baskets. Yeah, the bread that fell from heaven, and what you can gain by distributing that. Nothing.

Nothing. 37. Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? What can you earn it? Only by faith, and that's by grace.

You're saved. You're not gonna give anything in exchange for your soul. Jesus is. He already did it. Yeah. So now now remember we're having a glimpse into post-resurrection life here.

In the word of God, it never talks about the suffering without being followed up with the glory. Except when it comes to man. He gets he gets all that suffering.

And if you're doing it for yourself, except for when man's distributing the glory.

There's the glory. He wants us to suffer for him, for the word. Because he knows that it's for the betterment.

You're gonna be able to stand in the end times, and you're gonna be waiting for that glory.

Amen. You know, what do men say it doesn't matter? Doesn't matter. The Holy Spirit's gonna testify in our heart who he is.

A lot of the things that I've been studying in the in the Gospel of Mark, it's about exposure, your exposure to Jesus, number one, and then what is your takeaway from that? How do you react to that exposure? Are you fleeing from it? Are you trying to be hardened against it? Are you really opening yourself up? Maybe you don't understand every single line, every single chapter, every single verse, but Christ is able to give you what you need and sustain you continually. There's a teacher. He's a teacher, he's a great teacher.
