This week Presley gives a big update on the 26 yr old, and the walls are finally coming down. She also recaps her crazy travel weekend and her Presley's Pod party. Enjoy!
Okay, you guys, happy, happy Sunday. Welcome back to another episode of Presley's Pod. I am in a fantastic mood today, okay? And it's been a very productive day. I have a fun night ahead of me, and vibes are good. Like we're feeling good, and it's because the past two days were probably the worst days of my life. So it's only up from there, okay? And we're gonna get into that. So don't you worry, buckle up. Okay, so I had therapy this morning, which I think I've talked about that I started maybe a month ago, and I don't know if I told you all, but finding the therapist's office was a maze, okay? Like actually physically in the building. And I feel like in a lot of New York office buildings, there's you know multiple things going on in one location, right? So I get it off the elevator and I'm looking for a sign maybe that says the office name. I say nothing, I check the address 10,000 times. I know I'm in the right place. Also, another reason why I knew that I was in the right place, and like shout out to this girl. There was a girl crying on one of the chairs in the waiting room, and I said, you know what? I think I'm in the right place. I think I'm in the right place, and that is so anywhere else, I think someone would be like, Oh my gosh, are you okay? Like, what's going on? But in New York, it's like we've seen worse on the streets of New York City every single day. Anyway, so I had therapy this morning, and we were chatting. I was updating her about my life, saying all the things, and I was talking about the 26-year-old. And the 26-year-old and I are officially exclusive, right? What does that mean? That means that we have verbal confirmation that we're both not seeing anyone else. What is the difference between boyfriend and girlfriend and exclusive, you ask? Don't you worry, I'm gonna tell you right now. In my brain, and I had one friend that agreed with me on this, so shout out to her. Everyone else was like, So your boyfriend and girlfriend, and I was like, No, no, no, we're just exclusive. And they were like, So, what's the difference between boyfriend and girlfriend? And this friend helped me because in my like soul, I was like, there's a difference. I don't know what it is, but for me, mentally, that's like another fence that you gotta jump over, okay? So to me, exclusive is you just keep doing what you're doing when you were dating before, but now there's an agreement that you're not gonna be doing it with anybody else. I wasn't doing it with anybody else anyway, and I don't think he was either. So nothing really changed there. But to me, bringing boyfriend and girlfriend, like actually making that label a thing, and I was telling all this to my therapist this morning, she's like, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. I was like, I think that that is when you actually start living life together and you mesh each other's lives a little bit more, and it's not just going out on a Friday, Saturday night, like it's not them seeing your best self whenever you go out. You start to kind of be around a little bit more, right? That's what I think, and that's how I feel, and my feelings are valid, okay? So she said something this morning, she was like, Oh, like she was like, Your your boyfriend, and I was like, Oh, oh, not yet, not yet, maybe in like six months, and she was like, your boyfriend, and I was like, the person that I'm seeing who's a very good friend of mine, anyway, so that got me thinking a little bit, and I haven't truly I haven't been this excited about someone in a long time, and I this is the first time that I'm exclusive with someone in a long time, and this is happening to me more often that not that I forget that I'm exclusive with someone or that I'm seeing someone, like that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is sometimes I'll be just like walking down the street, going about my day, la da da, la-da-da. And then I'm like, oh, like I am seeing someone, like I am seeing someone exclusively, like that is so exciting, and the craziest thing happened to me the other day, okay? So let's set the scene, okay? Everyone's like, you have lost your mind, but maybe in a good way, okay. I was just some some demon took over my body, okay? And I was in my apartment, and I was just, you know, going about my day, and I started thinking about how I hadn't seen the 26-year-old in a while, and I was like, uh, that sucks. And a demon possessed my body, took out my phone, and started having me go through pictures of times that I've had for the 26-year-old. I was looking at the NYX game's pictures, I was looking at puppy yoga, I was looking like all the way back to the time we went to a Rangers game together. I was looking at pictures of like when we went to a bar with my friends together, and I was like, uh, this is so. And then I was like, oh my god. I looked myself in the mirror and I was like, who are you? Who are you right now? Like, what has taken over my body? And then I was like, you know, this is good. This is good. This means that I like the man. This means that I miss him. Because if he's been away for a while, you know, you want to make sure that you miss him, that you're not just like goodbye, see you when I see ya. So I'm like, okay, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. So the next step would definitely be boyfriend and girlfriend, but we all know I love the slow burn and I love to take my time to get to know someone. So I think I need a couple months. I don't think I need till 2027, like I originally said, but I think I just need a couple more months to live in this for a second and just not just enjoy the slow burn. Okay. So this past weekend, I had probably the most insane travel debacle. I don't even know if that's the right word that I have ever had in my entire life. So dramatic. No, actually, the vomit on the plane cabo story, that tops it all. But this was a close second, okay? So I was flying from Charlotte. Yes, I was flying from Charlotte to Kentucky, okay? Last flight out, Charlotte to Kentucky, 10:30, whatever, land at midnight. Basically, that will ruin the next day for me. But I was like, at least I'll get there. They delay the flight to 11:30, which means we're gonna be landing at 1 a.m. And I said, Oh, that's definitely gonna get canceled. So I said, you know what, we're just gonna book a hotel, circle back in the morning, okay? I looked at those flights and I said, you know what, let me just rebook myself. This is gonna get canceled, I'll rebook myself. I looked at it, there were a couple options to change, but I was like, uh, maybe I don't like jump the gun yet because I had I was going to a wedding, there was like a luncheon thing that was happening. So I was like, well, I don't want to like sign myself up to fully miss the luncheon and then be like, wait, why did I do that? I should have stayed on my original flight. So I but then I was like, you know what, we're we're literally not going. Anyway, that within that five minutes, the change price went from zero dollars to fifteen hundred. So I said, you know what? I'm gonna book the 6 p.m. flight that's still free the next day and have the airlines figure it out for me to get me there earlier. So I book a hotel in Charlotte, whatever, get on an earlier flight, get to Kentucky, call it a day. Great. Monday rolls around and I'm going from Charlotte. No, I'm going from Kentucky to Charlotte to New York, okay? I wake up, I go to one of my favorite workout classes in Kentucky. I like push myself really hard because I'm like, all I have to do is sit on a plane today. I come back, I eat like the best breakfast ever. I'm like, the vibes are high. I'm excited to get back to New York. I'm like, the next day I had doctor's appointments that I needed to get taken care of. I was like having friends over. I was like, oh, this is just I love my life. Too good to be true. Okay, too good to be true. This was the same day that New York City decided to have a flood, okay? So I land in Charlotte. My flight is supposed to be from Charlotte at 4:30, landing in New York at 6:30, okay? We get delayed till 6 30. We get delayed till 7 30. We get delayed till 8 30. We get delayed till 10:30. Meanwhile, Charlotte Airport, right? If you've been there, they moved us from like gates B to gates C to gates A. So I was getting my steps in, okay? That's like a 15-minute walk from A to B to C, right? So at 10:30, we finally get on the plane. Side note, they made like no announcement that they were gonna start boarding. They're just like, all right, concierge key, come on up. And we were like, oh, we're okay, cool, we're going. Would have loved to know that. Anyway, we go, we get on the plane, whatever. 10:30, I'm watching Netflix, and I'm just like, yay, at least I'm getting to New York because I had a gynecologist appointment and a dermatologist appointment the next day that I've been waiting a while for. And I was like, we gotta get in there, okay? I love going to the doctor. So I 10:30, I'm like, this probably is two-hour flight. Around 12:30, I was like, why have we not landed in New York City yet? I look out the window and I'm like, hmm, that I don't see skyscrapers, I see fields. I see fields, okay? And I hear the pilot say, we need to stop in Columbus, Ohio for fuel. I said, How did we only get from Charlotte to Columbus in these two hours? I have no idea. And he goes, There's like two planes in front of us, but we're gonna get the fuel in and out, then we'll be on our way to New York. And I was like, okay, at this point I'll probably be home at like 2 a.m. But at least I'm getting home. Makes another announcement. Something with the fuels broken, the guy has to enter it manually, do like manual calculations. I was like, we're that doesn't sound good, but you know what? Let's just go. At least maybe we'll get closer to New York before we stop for fuel again. Then around like 12:45, he's like, Oh, the flight attendant's timed out. No, first, no, this was the crazy part. First, I get a notification on my phone that my flight's been delayed till 11:30 a.m. the next day. So that little ding ding goes off, and I'm like, uh, uh-huh. Uh-huh. So then he's like, Yeah, the flight attendant's timed out. See you guys in the morning. And we're all like, mm-hmm. And here's the thing, right? When it comes to a weather delay, I'm like, you know, if I have nowhere to be, I'm like, this weather delay, things happen, whatever. Life goes on. I was staying pretty positive and I was proud of myself. I wasn't cheery about all of this going on, but I was, you know, in a good head space where I was like, it is what it is, it sucks, but it is what it is, and we just have to wait it out and enjoy the waiting it out, whatever. Then I started to lose the whole thing with the fuel and like manually entering all this stuff. I started to lose it a little bit. And some of my work friends call me Positive Presley, and then we have this joke of like when positive Presley leaves the building, and positive Presley left the building, okay? But here's the thing: I kept these thoughts to myself, right? The grown men sitting all around me, dropping F bombs left and right, really letting their aggression out. And I was like, you can't, let's just pipe down, keep it to yourself, like we're gonna be okay. So I they're like, you can go to the we all get off the plane, they're like, you can go to the help desk, they'll figure it out for you. And I was like, I'm not going to, I'm not waiting in that line. It's nearly 1 a.m. in Columbus, Ohio. I'm getting out of this airport. I call the hotel, right? I do some research, find a little Fairfield Marriott. I'm like, mm-hmm. Call. They say we have one room left. I say, good. Well, I'm coming. Hold it, okay? Hold it. Then I'm waiting for my Uber, Columbus, Ohio, 1 a.m. takes a second. So I go on the website and I book the room that she said that they had left. Great. Get in the Uber. Don't even let the guy help me with my stuff. I'm like, I put it away, I'll get it out. Like, I don't want to waste any more time. Let's go. Get to the hotel. She's like, you booked for tomorrow. And my heart sank. And I was like, well, I'm sleeping in your lobby, okay? Give me a key. I'm gonna go sleep in the gym because I am not going back to the airport and I'm not going anywhere else because I did call another Marriott and they said they were full. So I was like, anyway, she was like, Don't worry, I can help you. My guardian angel, thank you so much. I go to the hotel, I sleep, whatever. The next morning, I get on the little shuttle bus or whatever, had to deal with the man asking who I am, where I'm from, if I'm a model, started talking about my diet. I was like, okay, this is too much. And then I just had to give him like a little dig because he got my stuff and I was like talking about my flight, whatever. And I was like, Thank you so much. I was like, I hope I don't see you again. And like it was true, as in, he's the shuttle driver to the hotel. So I was hoping that I wouldn't have to spend the night. And then two, I was like, we didn't need to go through all of those questions. Anyway, anyway, that flight was delayed to my new flight was delayed an hour. Then we sat there, we needed fuel. Then they came back on and they started handing out new seats to people. Some of us got upgraded to first class. The guy next to me, we were like, can we just go? We really don't care that we're moving from nine to four. Like, I don't need the extra water. Let's just go, please. Like, I actually was starting to lose my mind. Then I landed in New York City around four o'clock, okay? Around four o'clock, and that's obviously like peak traffic time, but I wasn't thinking. I was starving, and I said, you know what? I'm gonna treat myself to a car, okay? Treat myself to a car. Takes forever to get to my apartment. I had lost the whole entire day. I had to reschedule these doctor's appointments, but there was one thing that was still on the agenda, and thank God that this happened. I had the idea to throw a little Presley's pod party for everyone that's been on the show. So Tyler, Sean, Hayden, Addy, and Lauren. Tyler was out of town, so sad. They people were like Lauren came from Connecticut, came to the party, and then went back on a train to go to a different Connecticut location. Addie came from SoulCycle, Hayden came from Pilates. Sean did leave early to go to another party, which like I don't hold grudges, but you know, it's okay. It's okay. Just kidding. Anyway, so I was like, I got home and I have a teeny tiny apartment, so I don't have people over a lot, but I love like my mom is a great hostess host, and like I love to host. Like, I think that's so fun. I don't do it a lot, obviously, because there's nowhere for people to sit, but I didn't have enough time to prep the apartment or prep anything for these people to come over, right? So I had to get the alcohol delivered, I had to get my dinner delivered, I had no decorations. The apartment was clean, like clean enough. It wasn't as spotless as I would want it, but it was fine enough, okay? I I was like, we're gonna take cute pictures, whatever. And I was like, I have no time to get ready, I have no time to put makeup on because I I love a sweet treat, okay? I love a sweet treat. There's this bakery that I love, Upper West Side, Upper East Side, called By the Way Bakery. They are gluten-free, dairy-free, everything's amazing, okay? So I said, I'm gonna have them make me a cake. Me and my friends, we deserve some cake, okay? So I got this teal cake, said Presley's pod on it. I said, I'll be there on the 23rd to pick it up. And they said, okay. 5:30. The bakery closes at six, okay? I get out of the shower and I'm like, I gotta run. They called me actually, and they were like, hey, we just want to make sure that like you're coming to pick it up today. I don't know what they do if I don't pick it up that day. Do they throw it away? Can I pick it up the next day? I don't know, whatever. But I was like, I will be there. And so this was like the one time I swear in New York City that an Uber was gonna be half the time than the train. So I got an Uber, boom, picked up the cake. Great. Same Uber actually picked me back up because I was like, people are coming at six. People are coming. And Lauren shout out my sweet, sweet angel. She said, You just worry about the cake, I'll get all the decorations. And there's currently balloons all over my apartment because I don't want to throw them away. We had streamers, we had um the only candle that she could find was a seven, so we just tilted it in the cake to make it look like a one. She got plates and silverware and all the things. So I somehow make it back in time for everyone to come over, get the cake, whatever. We had the best time, truly. Me, my friends, cake in my apartment, Sabrina Carpenter playing on repeat, like that is my dream. And that's all, that's all that I want to do ever. So all of that came together, thank God. And then today was my first day, like, or then the day after, I was like, you know what, let me just let me just take a breath because that was a lot. Like the running around, the airport, the nervous system was jacked, so I was like, let's just bring it back down. So yesterday I rested, and then today we got back into it. And while I was traveling, I was talking to someone about Presley's Pod and how it started and the one year and whatnot. And it truly is because we were dying laughing. Because last June, when I started Presley's Pod, it's because I was bored and my friends were traveling, and I got the idea and I was feeling like a little, just like a little restless. I was like, I need something to do, something to someone to talk to, maybe I need something. So instead of like going and getting a new hobby or like going outside and touching grass, I was like, oh, I'm actually just gonna stay inside from the comfort of my bed and talk to myself and post it on YouTube. That's genius planning. So I was like, wow, it's I still can't believe that it's one year, and I'm so happy that it's now on Spotify. And I'm also so happy that I have this because if I want content, I have to leave my house. I could go months without leaving my house to do, yes, I can go to work, I can go work out, but to go do social things, I'm like, everyone just come to me. Come on over, bring all your friends, let's just stay inside in our sweatpants. But I was like, wow, this is helping me so much because now I have to go out and like I have to get the content, okay? So tonight Hayden and I are going for a classic Hayden Presley. This is just what we love to do. Not a lot of people want to do it with us, but we love to go have like two very bougie drinks. We want to be like in an environment that's just like chef's kiss, bougie, classy, like that is just what we want to do. So there was a restaurant that I've been like eyeing, and Hayden's been eyeing, and we were like, we're gonna go. Okay. And here's the thing too tying it all back in. Now that I'm seeing someone, the 26-year-old, I can I don't have to lie to these men anymore. Okay, not that the men were always, you know, we there's like an epidemic of men not talking to people at bars, but it's as a girl, I found that the quickest way to make them go away is to say that you have a boyfriend or say that you're seeing someone. And yes, that is a lie. And do I like lying? No. But unfortunately, with these men, some of them don't understand that no means no. If you say, like, oh no, I'm good, like, oh, can I buy a drink? You're like, no, no, I'm okay, thank you though. They're like, no, come on, and you're like, well, I just said no, so don't literally make me ruin your life, punch you in the face. Well, sorry, they just bothered me so much sometimes. Um, but so then I discovered that, you know, I can truly just say, now I don't have to lie, and I can say, no, I am seeing someone. Like, sorry, bye. So anyway, very excited to go out with Hayden tonight. Um, I also am seeing the 26-year-old this weekend. The man's been out of town, but he's coming back to see me before he goes on to the next. And I like it's time. It's been too long. And usually I would be like, sure, like, go live your life. I'll see you in three months. Like, we'll be okay. But I'm like, this is a good sign that I, and this is crazy for me to say, that I let's see if I can say it, that I might, I can't even look in the camera, that I might miss the 26-year-old. Crazy, crazy, crazy. So I hope that everyone has a fantastic week, and I will see you all after my weekend with the 26 year old. Bye.
