I told everybody last week this episode was gonna be an absolute doozy of an episode. We're gonna talk about some powerful and mighty things that the Lord has done here recently. And the man we have here tonight to talk about it with us, he is a powerful man of God, a faithful man of God, a man that I would call a prayer warrior. And not only that, but he is the father to the most beautiful woman on this entire earth, aka my wife, yeah, and the grandfather to perhaps the cutest baby that I have ever seen in my entire life.

Yeah, and if you'll notice, well, we got brother Sam sitting in the middle because he's a big guy. He's a big guy. Some will call him a gentle giant. I think you'd call yourself that for sure.

Yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah, for sure. Oh, yes. Oh, he's here. The spirit is here. The spirit is here. And um, I can tell you, um, we have all gone through many different experiences with the Lord. Um, and I would say, I think you two would agree with me that we are perhaps more sensitive now to the Holy Spirit than we have ever been.

Um, you know, I kind of gave you that little introduction there. I want to kind of give you the opportunity to let everybody know. Just kind of tell us who you are, a little bit of your testimony, and then we'll go into some other things that we want to get into tonight as well.

Well, a little bit about myself. I'm 54 years old. Um I was I've been married, what, 34 34 years in April. And uh thank God that uh he was always around when I wasn't uh as strong as I needed to be that he was always there protecting me. Yeah, when I was weak, he was he was there. Right, and I know this now, and I didn't know that before. Um not gonna get really into it, or you know, obviously um mom uh took us to church, took it you know, that's where I grew up in the church. Yeah, 2018 got in the army and went away and really didn't fall. But uh, you know, I can look back and I can I know that he was always there was always something you know I never did. There was things that I didn't want to do. Oh, yeah, but some of the, you know, whatever something that was be life-changing. Yeah, he was always there going hey, yeah. So I knew he was there. I was like, no, I can't do that. Um but uh uh with my walk on the top C and is telling you right now that was a god bringing these guys together. That's a whole nother uh thing. Yeah, but that'll be part two. Yeah, right. I'll have another episode.

There you go. Uh but my father had passed, and then um so my mom came down to live with us. Um and with her coming down, so we needed to find a church. Um so we went around and went to a few around town and um then one of the ladies that was going here, Paul, and you guys don't fall. Yeah, Paula said, Carrie, hey, come check us out. And got in here and first time I heard Pastor my preached man, I was like, Whoa, I had goosebumps annoying and ever since.

And yeah, you feel it when you walk in. So when you walk through the threshold of the door and you feel good and you feel it, you know, I'm I'm in the right spot. I'm in the right place, right?

He'll guide you to the right place. Yes, he will.

And he will put you in where you need to be. That's right. Um, and then uh for a long time, uh well once I happened, I still my walk was wasn't uh wasn't true. Um I was coming to church and just checking the boxes.

Um I was uh I was an alcoholic and that that ruled my life. Um I was very dad, I I I believe I was. What I've learned from from now that I I was selfish that was one of the things that the Lord really revealed to me. Um it was all about me. It didn't matter what it was, alcohol was was the main thing. Right. Yeah. Um Wednesdays and it come on Friday ends because it interfered with out at seven o'clock. No, I can't I can't do that. Right with my my drink time. Uh fast forward a little bit, and then so uh he was always there, and then encounters, you know. We talk about you know Northwest Florida encounters, man. It's very powerful. It is, yeah, it's a very good thing. That each and every person needs to go to. If you don't, if you don't know him, you're gonna know him there. And if you know him, you're gonna get fired. Yes, right. I agree. Right. If you think you're at plateau or whatnot, hey, look us up. Look up uh Northwest Florida. That's right. Um there's a bunch of others in North uh Alabama and stuff with that, which we just came back to. Yes, we didn't know. We'll get it, we'll get into that for sure. We'll get into that for sure. Yeah, right. So uh um so went and um a gentleman had it invited me, but once I got there, um uh he revealed to me that what am I what am I doing? Um he literally, you know, you hear it all the time. He slapped me back in the head, so it's sick. Yeah, uh some of the the testimonies you hear is like so powerful. Yeah, it is. It definitely is. What am I why am I killing myself? Right. I'm I'm living in debt, you know. Um why the problems and the things that I'm doing are great are just pills in the sand compared to some of the stuff that I you know you listen to. Right. So it's very convicted. So he was in there, he I'm like, all right, Lord, I give you I give you myself. That's right, here I am. You know, I um from that night, from that day forward, uh had to quit drinking, never had uh wanting it, just I mean he convicted that was one thing, boom. I mean it happens to some people and uh with certain things and some things he does. And that was one of the main things because that was the main focus of what was keeping me from him. Right, right, right. So he once I laid that at his feet, he was gone. Yeah. Um had I struggled with a lot of other things? Absolutely. Um process, you know, the more you the closer you get, the more, you know, absolutely. Um uh I guess that's got on fire, yeah.

And then um the thing about our struggles is is I heard this, uh I think I heard that it was either today or yesterday, I can't remember. But the thing about our struggles is is that you know, um our struggles is not punishment, it's preparation. Yes, right? Right. I mean, it prepares us, I mean, uh, for the next step, right?

So me and Carrie just talked about that. I don't know where if we if it was in church or Wednesday. It's got so much going on, you know. I got Tuesdays in the yeah, so I really don't remember exactly where I get this information. So it's kind of hard. Yeah, um, but me and Carrie's just talking in um um, you know, no matter what going it going through through our lives, but if we're obedient in and and doing what the Lord wants us to do, will it come out perfect every time? Absolutely not. No, right, you know, it's a learning process. That's right. But if you're obedient in that, your life it's good it's gonna be the best for your life, no matter what it is.

You know, if it's if it's you gotta trust him and obey him. Right. Trust him and then obey.

Right, and no matter what, you know, there's gonna be a blessing through that. Yeah, and if it comes out great and everything else, that just strengthens your faith and that's right. Absolutely being with me and that's right, that's right, that's right.

100% that con do it. That's what I'm talking about. And one thing I'll say too, uh, and I'm sure you'd agree with me on this, and you know, you testify to this as well. But since you know that breakthrough happened in your life and you went to that experience, and he really transformed your heart in that moment, you talk about you know, struggling after that. We all have that breakthrough experience with God where you know he really breaks us down and he's like, hey, transforms your heart, but then you have to figure out what it is that you have to sacrifice and lay down. So from that breakthrough moment, as you walk in that trust and that obedience, he will bring revelation to your mind about hey, you know, and it's the little things too. It could be the smallest things.

And he'll be like, hey, most of the time it is.

Yeah, he'll be like, hey, that's hindering your walk. You need to lay it down. Yeah, and if you obey him in that act, he'll just grow your faith even more. Oh, 100%.

Which these guys can testify to, the closer you get to him, the more that feel he's attacking you.

Oh, the stuff, the tougher, sometimes the tougher the struggles are harder and harder.

Yeah, he does. He don't want you to have a breakthrough, he don't want you to have anything of that Holy Spirit. He has nothing to do with Jesus.

And if the enemy can't get to you, he's gonna get to you through loved ones. Oh, yeah. He's gonna try to get to you through. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, 100%.

I saw a phrase, I think it was earlier this week, is that uh, how'd it go? I think it was something like the devil is not scared of you going to church and experiencing God, he's scared of you believing it. Yeah, yeah, and believing what you've received. Because as soon as you have that belief, and we talked about this on the phone earlier, yeah, about a brother that uh from the encounters as well. Yeah, that belief is the hardest first step to take. But if you can get past that belief, and you talked about in Romans 10 and 9 when it says if you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and God raised him from the dead, then you shall be saved.

That's right.

You're saved because you now have the belief in the new salvation plan. That's right. But you still have to walk into that new salvation plan that he died for and that he set precedent for when he went to Calvary.

Yep, 100%. Yeah, you're exactly right. It's just like, you know, uh anybody with an addiction. The first the first hardest step is is admitting that you have a problem, right?

Yeah.

Well, the first step into salvation is uh believing. Right, right?

Believing. And then believing that those the sins you've been doing are the our sins. That's right. Yes, you know, recognize those sins. Yes, repent of those sins, and believe that my Lord Jesus died on that way he did for me is that that's right. From there it just flows.

Because the world, the world nowadays paints those sins as society paints them as they're okay. Yeah, they're cool. If you're doing if you're doing this stuff, exactly. You'll be fine, you know, you're good. You can go to church, you know, once a month. Exactly. Right, right. Right. Paint paints them as if they're okay, and that's where that belief just dwindles more and more and more. But if you can just get to that belief, which I believe in that encounter that you went to that very first time, he flooded you with experiences. I'm sure you were seeing people up there being delivered and everything. And how can you not believe him when you're in that atmosphere? That's right, right. And you're seeing all that delivery.

Man, I tell you what, I I had cried so much that weekend, I was so drained. I know because Friday wouldn't obviously, but then Saturday, man, I I think I slept like a baby because I'm just crying all week long.

That's every that's every encounter for me, man.

I mean, I just like you say men don't cry, yeah. I cry with you anytime you want. Exactly.

Anywhere, too. Absolutely.

Right.

Absolutely. Um, so you guys have been hearing us talk about encounters a little bit up here. Um, I want to just say that it is a uh what it is, is it's kind of a weekend, and I'm sure you two could agree on this, is that it's really just a weekend of deliverance, redemption. Yep. It's a weekend of just being filled up with the Holy Spirit and letting him just absolutely overflow your cup and just speak to you in so many ways. I mean, we've seen people, so many people saved through the encounters. Yes, and I mean, people have the testimonies are just unbelievable. Yes. Um, and I will have, if you're interested in any of the encounters, there's a few different states now, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, growing up. Right. Now we're moving over to Kansas and Ohio. Yep. So it's ever expanding, it's rapidly expanding. I will have the uh websites for all the current encounters listed in the description. So if you're interested, they have dates throughout the entire year for multiple different areas. So if you're interested, please take a look down in the description. All the websites will be linked, and I'm telling you, it's a fun weekend. If you have an opportunity to make one of those dates, please come out and you'll see a mighty move of God. And speaking of that, you guys actually just got back from the North Alabama encounter this past weekend. Um, so I the reason I wanted to have you both on here is because I want you to kind of testify, and you don't have to go into specifics of exactly what went on, because there is the good thing about the encounters is that sense of integrity. That's right. Um it's a safe place to be, and we would never share anybody's testimony on here unless they wanted to come on and share it with us. There you go. Uh their testimonies. Exactly. Uh it's not on us to share somebody else's testimony, it's their ministry. Um, so there's a level of integrity there. So you don't have to go into specifics. Um, but if you received anything, any word, you know, from the Lord over the weekend, if you want to share that, um, I'll just kind of let you guys talk for a little bit and I'll just feed off of y'all because I've only I've only gotten a few tidbits of what these guys have taught me a little bit. So I'm just as excited to hear what you guys have to say about it. Um, I guess you can kind of start with, you know, the uh when you show up to one of the encounters and specifically this one, the atmosphere, oh yeah, the sense of unity that you feel. And I'm sure this time it was even more powerful than that. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. Well, I was just saying, because you know, it's you think about it. I mean, it's it's it's not church, it ain't, it's it's everyday guys, everyday men that need to let things go or just uh we come together as one. That's right. Come in one heart, one mind, one purpose. That's right. Yes, and to give him the glory for everything. That's right. There's nothing we can do without him. Right. You know, there's right. He just works through us to help people, you know, to to for this. That's right. Um, but it's it's a like I said, it's a weekend of nothing but Holy Spirit filled, man. That's right. It's just men that are there, like I said, one accord, one part, yeah, one to glorify him.

And then and with in in Alabama, what I noticed in, you know, where the weekend this weekend is is that you know, the difference, which isn't the first time that I have been to one out of state, uh, not the Florida one, and um the the room was a quarter the size of what we're normally in, you know, in Florida, and uh it was very packed. But the thing of it is is that when you get all of those men, and it's not just for men now, there is a women's as well.

Uh, but it you know, when you get all those men in one room, you know, uh you got all those men in there that are in one mind, just like what Brother Sam just said one mind, one accord, yeah, right? And when you got all of everybody in that room that is in one mind and one accord, yeah. Oh man, the spirit is heavy in there.

I would I mean, I would even describe it as, you know, we see in the word in Acts about the upper room. Yes, you had 120 people, and I'm sure probably a room smaller than what you guys did in Alabama. But they're up in there and they are the sole purpose they're there, yeah, is because Jesus told them go there and wait.

They are all there for the same purpose, that's right, the same fulfillment, and they're waiting on the same promise. And that's kind of similar to what encounters is. I feel like it's something that is hard to find in a normal church service because frankly, absolutely, you know, and I love church. Church is you need church in your life, you need the right church in your life. But sometimes you can walk in a church and feel the spirit of judgment, and you can feel some people are really struggling in their faith and something's holding them back. But when you have a group of men or women gathered like that, right? Just a pure sense, one goal, yeah, getting closer to God this weekend.

Right. And that's the power thing about it, man, is because it's just men. So when you're going there, you realize that I'm not the only person going through this. Uh-huh. Right. Crazy. I thought I was the only person that thought this, did that, and didn't, you know, but no, yeah. You wouldn't believe how many that, but that's what that, that's the that's what this, that's why it's so powerful. And because you can find somebody to relate to. I know exactly what you're going through, man. Yeah. And the love, let me tell you something love.

All right. Let me, you know, and I and and love. Love's been on my heart uh today, really heavy. It really has love. And when you're in, when you got a group of men that have been through life, right? They have been through life when they have been told that that if they cry, they'll get, you know, how they were raised. I was raised this way, is that if we cry, I won't cry, give you something to cry about. Men are not supposed to show feelings, men are, you know, not supposed to show emotion, men are not supposed to love. Let me tell you something. That's a lie from the pits of heaven. That's right. Because the thing of it is, because you got men in there loving on one another, and that's all that those men, you don't, some of the men, you don't even have to say a word to them. Some of the particular you don't have to say, all they you just go up there and hug them, man, and that changes their life.

Because they've never felt that love before.

No, and it love is just man, you know, and and I got I'll read this one scripture. I got one, I got multiple scriptures, but I want to read this one scripture. And this is Jesus talking in Mark now. In Mark chapter 12, and it's in verse 29. And Jesus replied, the most important commandment is this listen, O Israel, the Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind and all your strength. That's the first commandment. The second one is that you are to, the second is equally important. Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these. Love.

Jesus. Love you. Yes, he was.

He was the physical manifestation of love.

Yes, he was. Yes, he was.

In the Old Testament, you know, God, God is a spirit, and he certainly, with many different people throughout the Old Testament, they certainly felt his love. Yes. They would certainly give them experiences of love and everything like that. But when he actually manifested himself in the flesh, and I could just, I can't even think about the people that were around him and the people that he ministered to actually having the physical manifestation of God there to love you. And then showing that love and what he did on the cross, the sacrifice that he made. Yeah. And that's the same thing, you know, when you have a group of men or women like that gathered in that room, especially, I feel more particular for them for the men's side. But as men, you know, a lot of times, you know, growing up, you know, told, you know, you gotta be tough, you gotta do this, you gotta do that. Yeah, a lot of times you'll just feel, and maybe you'll even give off what an artificial love.

But when you get around the people of Christ and you get around people who are Holy Spirit filled and they're displaying their light, you can't help but feel what true love feels like. Absolutely.

Because when you're out and about, you know, that's you know, as men, we want to be the protector. Yeah. You know, I'm a guy, you know, yeah, I want to protect, protect, you know. So the guard up, you know. But in that situation, when in in encounters, you know, the guard gets taken away. Yeah. And then once that that goes away, man, it's like, thank you, Jesus.

And by the end of uh, you know, by the end of Saturday night is when you really, really see it was like Oh yeah. Oh man, look at the transform. And to see God work before your I'm talking like to see how the these men come in on a Friday night and see God work in their lives throughout the weekend and see how they leave from there on Sat on Sunday night.

They would totally transform. Man, yeah, because we're it is it's a transformation. Absolutely, man. Because you can look at him and know, you know, you see the darkness, you see the the scaredness or you know the shame or whatever is going on, man. Yeah. But once they start receiving him and laying those things at his feet, man, then yeah, come Saturday, they got a smile on their face. Right, right. It's glowing, man. Yeah, it's exactly glowing. And by Sunday, my arms are raised, and they're they you know, it's receiving him. Thank you, Jesus.

But we also tell them, you know, we make sure that you know that that everyone just the work don't stop there. All right. We've given, you know, we have the Lord has given you the tools to work with. All right. Everything that you need to do. Now, you got to do it. You have to put the work in. You have to continue to work. Yeah. You know, it's it there's still, you know, things that you have to do. When you leave from here, there's gonna be a target on your back. You're gonna be Monday morning, you're gonna be hit right between the eyes with it. You might as well get ready. It's how you respond to when you get hit between the eyes, is the what's gonna happen.

What I was gonna say is because now you have a brotherhood. That's right, absolutely through encounters uh uh um that you any of those people that you experienced with or loved on and anyway, you can call anyone anybody that you know uh and have that that support now. That's right. Now they have the support. Yeah, you know, if they didn't have it before, they have it now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that that's one of the other powerful things about it. Yeah, it's that's it. If they don't have a church, right, if they don't have a church to or anybody that's around there, yeah, um, now they have it. Yeah, yeah.

And not to go into de and you know, we don't want to go into too many details because we don't want to give away the weekend because it it's an encounter. It it if we give it, if if if everything was given away, then you wouldn't be able to experience it. Uh but it it it is it, yes, everybody should should go 100%.

And uh y'all kind of touched on it a little bit. Um, but with that, um when you leave that weekend, you said it's you know it's gonna be hard. The work doesn't stop there. That's right. And I can tell you that it's gonna be harder than ever. And the reason is is because after you have an encounter with the one true master, now you have that belief.

That's right.

Now you believe in him. So the devil is scurrying, like, okay, I gotta gather all of my major forces because he's got belief now. We gotta bring him back down. You know, we gotta get that belief out of him. You have that belief, don't stop working to gain your salvation. And the thing is, too, you have to gain the salvation. You can't earn it.

There is there is nothing we can do in this world to ever live up to what he did for us. No, there's no price we can pay, there's no act we can do in his kingdom, yep, but he's so merciful and graceful that he gives us that salvation. That's right. Offers it to you. All we have to do is take it. Yes. As long as you believe in the salvation plan and you believe what he died for, the gift is always there for you to take it. That's exactly right. And y'all um y'all did kind of touch on this too um before the we started recording, but um the weekend, the past weekend you guys did at the North Alabama encounter, huge spirit of deliverance up there. Yeah.

And this one was free point for Yeah, I I I it Yeah, it would it was pretty powerful. It really was. You know, and being, you know, they you know, with seeing, you know, they give you, uh they tell you now, if if you've never been a part of something, a part of deliverance, right, and you feel scared, don't be, don't, don't be a part, just you know, yeah, go in another direction. But being a part of someone being delivered from something, there wasn't an ounce of fear in me. Right. I know because I'm protected. Yeah, I was protected. Right. Yeah. I had him, I had, I had God, I had Jesus with me, and there wasn't an ounce of fear with me at all, period. Yeah, I got in there with him and prayed and prayed along with him. Yeah, you know, and it was just it was it was very, very powerful.

Like you said, at that moment, you're not worried about yourself. No, you're wanting that that you're praying for the hand. That's exactly what you're doing. Because you want from that person. Because we're just giving him the love that whatever whatever's going on.

What God gave us.

We want him to have to receive it. Yeah, you know, yeah.

You're just focused on being the vessel.

That's right. Absolutely. You're focused on us, right? You know, yeah. Nope.

Yeah. You're just focused on uh I know for me, you know, going to encounters and everything, whenever I'm praying for somebody or really trying to speak to somebody, I really just focus on keeping my heart wide open the entire time. Yeah. Not only to receive, yeah, but also to pour out to miss. And that's the thing that a lot of us, I feel like a lot of people miss in their life with Christ is that yes, you can open you open your heart to receive, but you can also pour out from your heart as well into people. You know, that that's where the best word comes from.

And you can't, you know, you you you can't you can't get in here. You can't get in your mind. Your mind is a powerful tool, it really is. And I know I've said this before, uh, but you know, the saying in mind over matter, mind over matter. Well, you can't put your mind over your heart. You need to put your heart over your mind. Right. Because if you think about it, you know, out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. Well, out of your belly has to pass through the heart to come out of your mouth. Right. Yeah. And when you have your heart over your mind, man. Right. Because it's coming from here to here.

And I I always thought about it like this. I um I kind of testified about this at the uh the last encounter I went to. Um, but he really gave me a revelation about prayer um at the last encounter because I would always go to him in prayer and think about what I needed to pray for. Think about what I needed to say, think about what I needed to thank him for. Yeah. So I was praying from here, from my head. That's right. And I I'm telling you, it, I don't know how I didn't realize it sooner. Yeah, I testified a little bit about it last time, but every time I would pray like that, my head would feel like it was about to explode. Like I had a crazy pressure headache. And I'm like, what in the world? You know, I I thought at the moment that it was just from weeping or, you know, from crying and whatnot. Yeah. But when he gave me that revelation and said, Stop thinking about a conversation with me. It's a simple conversation. He spoke to me and he said, Do you think about talking to your friends at work? Right. Do you think about talking to your family? Or do you just walk in and start flowing in conversation? There you go. Start talking like that with me. And man, I would go in that flow and just listen to my heart and just speak whatever he lays upon me. Sometimes, you know, when I get in prayer every morning, I'll sit there in silence for 20, 25 minutes because I'm not going to speak until I know that he has put the words into my heart. That's exactly mix up my flesh and the spirit speaking to my heart.

Yeah, you know, it's just being that open vessel, having that open heart is so important when you're look trying to help people be delivered and just be a part of something like that. And I mean it's it's truly powerful. Yeah, the love, man.

I I can't I can't say enough about the love. I really can't, you know. I mean, being able to show the love and show the love to the men and you know, and the women as well. But to love on one on someone, man, and just hug them and you know, and tell them, you know, how proud you are of them because you know, I would say probably 75% of those men has never heard somebody say, I'm proud of you. They've probably never heard of somebody say, you know, focusing on the good in them instead of in them looking at them and telling what they've done wrong or what they've done bad. You know, and that's not what that's not what it's about. You know, yes, you do need to, you know, focus on the things of what you did, but the thing of it is is start looking at the good in people. Yeah, start loving on the people. Speak love, don't speak hate.

And that that unity is just so important when it comes to that, not only um, you know, at encounters, because I I've I've talked about this many times, is that it's easy to have an encounter with God and feel God when you're in an atmosphere like that. Yes, it's really easy because you have so many men of faith surrounding you, but it's when you come back into a normal church service. Right. And one thing that I love about being in a unified mind in a chord like that is that you never see the spirit quenched. Right. And I feel like oftentimes we'll get in a church service and we'll get in that routine, all right. We're gonna go two or three songs, and then you know, we're gonna do offering, and then we're gonna have the sermon, and boom, we're gonna be out of here by 12:30, ready for lunch. You know what I'm saying?

Um, we need more of it in church services because frankly, you know, there's people out there that have struggles with addiction, they have struggles with depression, anxiety, oppression. They have all these struggles, but they're so scared to bring them into a church service, to bring them to God because they've just become either comfortable with it, yeah, or they're afraid they'll get judged, or they think it's too much weight together.

Yeah. Because I mean, I know for all three of us standing up here, we are totally different people than we were, you know, even 10 years ago. You know, you wouldn't recognize, and I I know especially for you, I mean, the man 11 years ago, if he saw the man today, he would have been like, yeah, right. Are you kidding me? Yep. You know, that that's unbelievable to even say that. But and I know a lot of people too, and I know this is a big part of your testimony, they walk in that counterfeit freedom.

Yes, yeah, you know, I yeah, getting back Yes. That was one of the things is that kind of I believe in God because the way I was raised, because because I prayed while I was doing the things that I was doing. I prayed and people received those prayers. Right, right. I knew he was around. So I thought that it was okay what I was doing because it worked through me. But I wasn't going that right. I wasn't I was a dead man walking. I would use any person that's right in any situation. That's right. Yes, he will. He's doing it. He was using it. He knew I was he knew I heard he knew the end from the beginning.

He knew we're he'll he'll yeah, he'll use a center to to deliver somebody. He'll use a center to speak to somebody, but that's why, you know, getting back to that trust and obedience. Yeah, don't get caught up in what other people are doing in the kingdom of God. That's exactly what I think. You focus on your walk, you focus on trusting and obeying what he speaks to you because you gotta think, you know, we've talked about it, we talked about it on the podcast. I know we've talked about it relentless times outside of this place. Is that um that spirit of envy? Right. You're striving after um what other people are doing at altar work, what other people are praying, you're striving after that. Just keep that in your mind that God will use anybody, not just his new bought believers. That's exactly right. He will use a sinner to do anything. So focus on your walk, focus on your prayer life, focus on really listening and being sensitive to his voice, and he'll he'll work through you and do the rest. Right, that's right.

Yeah, with that counterfeit freedom, what I wanted to talk about to say too is um don't lost it. When you get if it's not gonna glorify God, if it's not yeah, then it's not from him. Yeah, right. We had an agreement. Was it glorifying him? Heck no. It was glorifying me, it was letting me do what I wanted to do. Right. It made let me have the uh choose the things that I wanted to choose, not the things that he had for me. That's right. Right? Yeah, yep. But once I realized that that those lies that I was living in, yeah, and I was getting the truth, yeah, right. I was choosing the right path. I was choosing the right things that he wanted me to do. His will in my life, not mine.

That's right. And that's that's the best place. If I I guarantee you, the devil's thinking in his kingdom right now, if there's any place he can keep you, it's that middle ground. That's his playground. If he can keep you kind of teetering on the edge, yeah, but you're still doing things that aren't glorifying him, because he he lets us know that if you're not all into this thing, then you're all out. That's right. It's one or the other. That's right. And the devil will try to keep those things in your life because as you sacrifice those things, as you lay them down, he gets so terrified because you are getting closer and closer to the point of the crucifixion of your flesh. That's right. You're getting closer and closer. If he can just keep you from putting that flesh on that cross, if he can just keep you from taking that step, that's exactly where he wants it. That's right. But if you can ever push past that and listen for the voice of God talking to your spirit, yeah, letting you know what you need to sacrifice, letting you know what you need to lay down. And if you can ever get up there to that cross that lives in here, yeah, and pin that flesh to it, just put the nails in that, your fire will burn hotter than ever. Yes, they will.

Because that's all he wants to do is kill, steal, and destroy, right? That's right. Absolutely. Because he if he can stop you, then your generational line is gone. And just think about that, you know? And then even if you've got a little bit, just the people that you're gonna touch, yes, you know, here on earth. Right. I mean, just not like your generations, but not your family, but co-workers, friends that you see. I mean, it's just gonna spread like wildfire, you know? Yeah. And we've seen it. And I think that's what he doesn't want you to do because once you get it, you're telling people. Uh-huh. Telling people you don't even know. But if you can keep you your mouth shut, he's one. That's that's his.

And and I'll I'll never forget um when uh when Sierra was having the baby, uh, was having Charlotte in the hospital. Um, we had talked about um at one of the encounters before that, I think you did a session on breaking the line in the sand, and you've talked about it and you've got as well. Um and I remember um by the bedside, and it was I was already a basket case because I'd I'd never seen Sierra in, but she's got pretty high pain tolerance, never seen her in pain in my life. Right. She made some faces. I've I mean, I got terrified of her, but anyway, you know, um, and then they came in and they gave her uh this IV medication, uh pain medication to try and calm her down, and pretty much it pretty much just kind of put her to sleep and just kind of let her relax and get the smooth contractions going.

When she was sleeping on that bed, I'll never forget I had a worship music playing uh on the speaker, and I was just kneeled um at the bedside, just praying over her. I had one hand on her belly on the baby, and then one hand on her, and I just kept praying and praying and praying and praying, and God brought those sessions to my mind of drawing the line in the sand, breaking the generational curse. Yeah, and I just began to weep as I began to think about Charlotte will never have to experience any of that. Because she has she has men of God in her life, she has women of God in her life that'll be her but Jesus, right? Absolutely, and if you can, I'm telling you guys, if you can ever get that in your family, 100%, if you can set the example, yes, they will follow. Yes. If you can just be the first one to take that step, be the leader, be the example, and it doesn't, and I can tell you this right now, it does not just have to be the men of the household. No, it does not. It does not. There's, I mean, there's a testimony. There's I know in our testimony, and I didn't in yours as well, it started with um It started with the wife, yeah.

It started with your mom. It's you know, coming to church, starting to come to church and praying at the altar, asking, you know, you know, please help my husband, please deliver my husband. And you know, it started with her. It started with y'all at the altar. Yeah, you know, and then when the Lord answered the prayer, you know, then I became the example. I became the leader. And then once you and once you do that, and then like you said, you can't not follow because you see it and you it's it's kind of it's like a virus, right? Yeah, right? It just spreads, it spreads everywhere, right? It's man.

And then yeah, and then you talk about, you know, but then with that transformation is men. I know we're just talking about men, but I mean, but being in knowing that we are who we need to be in the household. That's right. The you know, hey, because they all fall under us because they're getting their guidance and stuff from us. So, like, you know, I know Carrie, she was she finally told me, I'm so glad that you're that you're you're being the man that you need to be in the house. Because she felt like she was doing everything.

And because I was all suffering me. Yeah, I'm sure Angelique was in the same way. She probably once you started doing what you needed to do in Christ and doing what what you were supposed to be doing, that's right. It took a lot of burden off of her. Yeah, a lot of weight off of her that she could focus on the things that God had for her. That's right. Not running the household that us men need to be doing.

And we are their help, they are our help mate. Yeah, correct. They're not our slave. They're not our no, they are our help mate. Yeah.

And I mean, the women of the household are just wives are just so I believe women have I I I believe all women have an incredible gift of discernment. And I believe that that is their to be to be one of those spirits of help. And the thing is, we find in Genesis that you know when you're joined together, it says you become one flesh.

That doesn't mean that it literally means that you are one, you're one being. You you're not separate anymore. Yeah. So you begin to, as you both grow in Christ and get closer to God, you begin, I know, at least for me and Sierra, you begin to feed off of each other. That's right. You begin to get those similar convictions in the heart. You begin to, you know, if you're somewhere and you feel like God's speaking to you, and you kind of give that look over here, you're like, you feel that too? And it's like, yeah, I think we need to get out of here. Right. You know, you get that when you can get closer to God, and that that's the beautiful thing about the encounters is that um with the men's and the women's, you get something that you can take home to the family. Yes, to lead them into salvation, to lead them into spiritual transformation. Right. And we need more of that in this world today.

And they feel it. And I my aunt, and you know, I know uh your mom, she has said numerous times when we when we all three come back, you know, from encounters, that she just feels it radiating off of us.

And then right, and then you know, Carrie's walk has been so much stronger because I'm doing the things that I need to do. Yep, I was keeping her away from the Lord, right? Yep. She was doing what she needed to do, but she wasn't, but she was focused on me, trying to save me when I she didn't need to do that. Yep, right. And our walk with the Lord together has grown so tremendously. That's right. Yeah, we'll do Bible studies, listen to things and and receive things. And remember that? Did you get this? Or hey, I got this, this, this is things will blow your mind away, you know.

Yeah. Yep. And I think the main thing we can pull from this entire conversation about encounters with your testimony and a little bit more of yours shared. I think the biggest thing we can pull is that if you're seeking to change your life, if you're seeking for transformation of the heart, if you're seeking that, not only do you need to seek somewhere where you can transform and you can get to an altar of repentance, but more importantly, you need to seek unity. Yes. You need to seek a unified body. You need to seek out a spirit of unity so that you can be helped not by uh the people in that church or the people in that Bible study or the people in that prayer group. But when you have that spirit of unity, it's God using all those people, flowing through them, using them as the vessel. Find you a group of people like that, and you will truly find transformation. 100%. 100% you will. And we need more of that in churches, we need more of that in workplaces. I mean, if you can, I know just from uh uh from our workplace, and I know you've got a prayer group at your workplace as well. Um, I know just from uh me and you working together and the pastor working uh at the gas company as well, there is a spirit of unity between all three of us, I believe, and you know, we can discern things and help people in a way that we never have before. Right. Um and I know for you with your prayer group at work, you just getting that strength before you go into work for the day and you go to the house.

I tell people all the time right that I'm blessed that that I have these men that that are there. Yeah that are kingly men. You know, so yeah, every morning before you know we go to work, we come together and pray and or talk and and hey, what's going on, this and that, and we can release on each other, you know. And not a lot of people have that. Yeah. Um, and that and that's that's powerful. And if you don't have that, be sure and and be sure and get that because you need people that you can uh to things on because you can't hold those things off. Yeah, so you've got to encourage it definitely, you know, yeah. Uh you gotta have people around it.

You're not meant to to go through it alone. No, you know, um the Bible speaks of uh us being a guide for a reason, of him being a guide for a reason. You know, yes, you have the word to guide you and give you the instructions, but God will place people in your life to guide you into that. Oh, that's true. That's right. You're not meant to go through it by yourself. If you're struggling with you know addiction, if you have chains on you, don't try to get in there and handle it by yourself. No, seek out the unified bride of Christ. That's right. Seek a place, and I promise you, just as you know, we were talking about at the beginning of the episode, when you walk into a place, you'll know if you're in the right spot. Yes, God will speak to your heart, you might get those goosebumps on your spine. That's right. You know, he'll be he'll convict you in a church service, and that's another thing too. And I know we're going a little bit long, we're closing out here, but another thing too is that for people that are just coming to God and uh newfound believers in Christ, when you get convicted of something, you don't think that it's the enemy making you feel guilty of it. Right because it's God convicting your heart, saying, Yes, what what you're doing, it's not of me, but guess what? You're in a place now where you can seek that mercy.

You know, we will there's no way that and that never that we need to be. No, no. We will not until we're up here at home with him. That's exactly right. You know, and he knows that. Yeah. And that's why he's saying, why do you keep bringing these things?

We we've talked a lot about encounters, but you know, the last thing I want to say is that uh, you know, that weekend, it it's powerful, yeah, and it's changed all three of our lives. I know it has. Um, but when you get into that weekend and you get out of that weekend, you should seek a spiritual encounter with God every single day. Yeah, yeah. No matter where you're at. Absolutely. After that, don't just be like, all right, there's another encounter in three months. I I can't wait for a big move of God. Seek an encounter with Him every single day.

It's maintenance, it's work. Uh you have to do work. All right. It's just like uh, you know, uh uh like a vehicle. Use that analogy, right? You know, uh you can only drive that vehicle for so long with a full tank of gas, and eventually the gas light's gonna be coming. The gas light's gonna come on, you're gonna have to put gas in it, you're gonna have to change the oil, you're gonna have to do the maintenance on the vehicle, right? Your spiritual walk is the same way. You have to have maintenance, you have to do maintenance on it. You have to have that time with the Lord, you have to have that personal time with the Lord in your quiet place, wherever that may be, in your truck, in a prayer closet, wherever you have to have that one-on-one time with the Lord. And if it's all it is, is just sitting there and not saying nothing.

Let peace come upon them, God. Lord, I speak to the person struggling with addiction right now. I speak to the person struggling with depression, anxiety, oppression, the person who is bound by chains, God. Lord, you know their heart, you know their situation. Yes, you've seen them, God. Yes, Lord, I lift them up into your hands right now in the name of Jesus. God, work on their life. Let your word marinate in their spirit. God, work on us as well. Yes, cleanse our hearts. Let us continue to build our vessels, Lord Jesus. Continue to piece us back together, because in the end we are still broken, but you rebuild us each and every day, even stronger than ever, God. Lord, I thank you for this opportunity to come before you, Lord Jesus, and talk a little bit more about you. And I pray blessings upon each and every person that hears this word as it goes forth.
