There's something that has been on me for the past couple weeks now that I want to bring up with you guys. I know you guys will have a lot of good insight on that. We'll go into our worship song of the week, and then we'll have a top three this week. It's a little condensed. Haven't told you guys what it is yet. I'm not going to tell you until the top three segment. Okay. But you shouldn't have any issues coming up this time. So it should be pretty easy. But what the Lord has kind of laid on my heart the past couple weeks, I taught about it a couple weeks ago, and it hasn't left my mind since. The Lord's been dealing with me on it for a while now. And it's this question, and I think it's because I've gotten it from multiple people in my life now, whether it be at work, personal, friends, I've gotten the question a couple times, and I feel like the Lord is really dealing with some people on it, so I wanted to bring it up. The question is: how do I know it's a God speaking to me? That's a good question. How do I discern that voice? How do I know it's Him telling me to step out and do something? How do I know it's Him telling me to get in the Word? You know, whatever it is, how do I know the difference between God's voice and something else? The enemy's voice, a tempting spirit, whatever it is. How do I discern that difference? And I think it's a question that a lot of people struggle with in today's time.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And it's important now more than ever, with I believe revival on the way, revival being here. It's so important to know and be able to discern what God's voice sounds like or what it feels like. Because oftentimes that's what it is for a lot of us. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You know, when I hear people ask questions, I I can't help but wonder why they're asking that question.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, and when you when when someone's asking, how do I know what the voice of God is or what it sounds like, or how do I know it's Him speaking? I think it it's because there's a sincere desire to know our Creator and to do, you know, what we feel we what we we want to do something that's right. We want to do what's right, we want to follow Him. We've been looking for a relationship. And so I think that that is an awesome first step to be like, hey, I want a relationship with my Creator. Now, how do I know His voice? Yeah. My thought is I of course we know that this is the unadulterated full word of God. Yeah. Um if that voice is lining up with this voice, it's you know, I think that's a pretty good litmus test that it's probably the word of God because He's not going to go against His Word. Um, another is um you you you'll look become familiar with somebody by developing a relationship with them. So if you come to church, you have a prayer life, you have a worship life, you know, you're praying. Um I think you're going to begin as you would with any stranger becoming a friend, maybe becoming a close, you know, friend. Um you you learn their voice, you know, learn what it is. Um so that's just some thoughts that I had, you know, on that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I definitely think that, you know, um hearing his voice and being impressed upon you and you know, feeling things, feeling God and the presence of God, obviously it comes, you know, as your walk gets deeper, you you become more familiar with the presence and the voice, right? Yeah. And um, but as starting out as young, you know, or young in your relationship with God, is is that, you know, God's not gonna put you or tell you to do something that is totally against his word.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. You know, and when you feel that conviction, and you'll know what it is, you know. I mean, is this really what it is? You'll know. Because God is never gonna put you in a situation that you can't, he can't get you out of one, and he's not gonna, he, he's just not gonna do it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh being able to feel his presence, you know, and feel it when you know you feel him, is that for me, you know, I had an individual tell me that, you know, how do I know, you know, because I had to ask the question, you know, when altar working, you know, how do I know when I need to go, you know, and uh pray for somebody, you know, lay hands on somebody and pray for them. He said, You'll know it by the feeling. He said, You'll walk. I said, because, you know, what I do with the altar, you know, is I walk back and forth, and whenever I feel the presence of the Lord, I stop. You know, and I I stand there and I marinate in it. He said, you know, not all the time, you know, when you feel the presence of the Lord is he directing you and guiding you and telling you to go pray for that person. Some people just have to go through things. Yeah, absolutely. Some people they just have to go through things, yeah. You know, for them to realize what's going on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and you may be there to relieve a burden. Yeah. You don't know what you're there for. Yeah. Um, but I love what you said, Jesse, about if it doesn't line up with the word, then it's easy to discern. You know, your first step in starting your walk with Christ and getting young in that relationship, like you said, Dad, is the number one thing you have to do, in my opinion, before you can trust and obey that still small voice and step out in faith, you have to obey what's clear. Right. And that's the word. Yeah. You know, you can physically see and physically read this word right now. There's some times where God's going to speak to you through a feeling on your heart, your mind, whatever it is, and you can't physically see that, you can't physically grab hold of it. Right. But this is clear, this is truth. We know that. So if we're obeying that, obeying what's clear, and we're slowing down, marinating in the word, letting God speak to us through the word, you'll get familiar with that voice. You'll get familiar with the type of verbiage he uses and uh, you know, the the words that he speaks. And oftentimes he's going to speak to you through revelation of the word, through bringing it to your remembrance, as the Bible says, you know. Um if we obey what's clear, it'll just be easier and easier to discern that voice. And more importantly, if God lays something on your heart or your mind and it it doesn't align with what you think he'd want for your life, or if it doesn't glorify him, then more than likely it's not of him. Right. More than likely it's of the enemy. And a scripture that he dropped into my spirit right before I pulled up here, 1 John 4 and 1 says this beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God. Because many false prophets are gone out into the world. And I believe what that's saying is, you know, if you bul if you think that God is speaking to your mind, speaking to your heart, whatever it is, pray about it. Test that spirit. Because if it's truly of God and He truly wants you to step out in faith on that, then He'll A, either confirm it through someone, something else, I believe, He'll confirm it through the Word. Yes. But it will be you will get a confirmation if you bring it to Him and pray about it and say, Lord, is this you speaking to me? He'll bring confirmation in that, and then you're like, okay, I know it's of you, and then you can step out in faith on that. So it's it's a powerful thing when you learn what it is to just obey what's clear and meditate on it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's so important to marinate in that. I think too, um as as you you know you've you've grown in your relationship with your wife or as you with your spouse as well, me with family, um, the more you interact with somebody, you can even begin to glean things from just the tone of the way they're saying things. The way you know Angie may say something or whatever, and she may you know that you could understand the words that came out of her mouth, but you also understand the tone behind it. So is she mad or she is she happy or something like that, or you know, your wife as well. I think we do the same thing with we read God's word. Yeah. We get there and deep and we begin to feel his spirit, and you say, Oh, this was spoken with love, or hey, this was spoken with a little bit of discipline. Right. And those type of things when we're reading the word, and I think that's what you know goes into a part of the what why the word is living. Yes, because there's just so much in it. It's not just words on a page that got printed out. Yeah. There's there's there's God's spirit. It's it's his word that was made flesh, uh, walked among us on this earth through Christ Jesus. Um I just, you know, the more you more you dig, the more you receive. Yes. The more you seek, the more you find. I just yeah, there's so much that you get just from you know reading the word.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Jeremiah 29 and 13, if you seek me wholeheartedly, yeah, you will find me. That's right. So if you're just going after him, if you're getting in the word, I mean that's that that's the easiest way to discern God's voice. There's I talk to so many people who are new in their relationship with Christ, and they're they hear all these testimonies and they hear the powerful things that have been done in people's lives, and they're like, oh, I want a piece of that, I want that. And they just think they can jump right into it, but you gotta seek God first. Yes. You gotta seek his face. You have to, you know, weep in prayer, you have to learn what it is to truly submit to him with everything that you have. And for a lot of people that's hard, but that's truly the first step in being able to discern his voice. And when you take that step, full submission, you're obeying what's clear, his voice will just become clearer and clear. So it's a wonderful thing. Did you have something? I know you've got to be able to do that. Oh no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02I didn't have really anything. Um, I just know that, you know, I because like that's been bothering not bothering you, but been on you for the past couple weeks. And, you know, I've been on, you know, what I had been on what I had spoken about at 10 o'clock um Sunday, you know, about God always, you know, He already knows what's on your mind and what's in your heart. Yes. You know, it just He just does, and you know, and I had bro I don't think he was able to hear it. We didn't stream it, so therefore nobody was able to watch it, which and I apologize for that. But you know, when God knows what's in your heart, what's on your mind, and when I was reading, and it's amazing, I have read, you know, the Bible front to back, you know, and I have read many, many chapter, you know, many books a lot, you know, over and over and over again. But when I went back and I was reading, I was reading in Luke 22, um, where um Jesus predicts you know Peter's denial, which in verse 3 and I want to I want to break it down is is that in verse 31, and I'm reading now the NLT version, is it says, Simon, Simon, Satan has asked you to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turn to me again, strengthen your brothers. So what I get out of that is that, you know, in the fur in the first verse here, he says, Satan has has asked you asked to sift each of you like wheat. Basically, get to what is genuine of you. You know, Satan is already, he already knows that the enemy is already into Peter. He already knows that he has done, got into Peter's mind, got into Peter's head, he's got into somebody genuine. You know, and when we look at people, when we look at our as far as us, as far as people that are genuine, it's our family. And people are gonna get to our family, you know, and that's how the enemy works, is he's gonna go through somebody that's genuine. He's gonna go through what's genuine in your life because you would die for your family. You would do anything for your family, right? And then in verse, uh later in verse 32, but I have pleaded, this is what, this is what I really, really, really stayed on, you know, was this is Jesus talking. He said, But I pleaded in prayer for you. Jesus prays. He prayed for his disciples, he prayed for Peter. Not only did he, I mean, he stood in the gap for Peter, he prayed for him. You know, and when you think about it, think about that for a minute. Yeah. Jesus praying for you. Yeah. God praying for you. I mean, that right there is just powerful. And he knew that he failed. He says that so that when your faith should fail you, your faith should not fail. He probably prayed for faith not to fail. So when you have repented, because he knew that he was going to come back, later on in verse in John chapter 21, where he seen him on the in the Sea of Galilee, he said, Have repented and return to me again, strengthen your brothers. Once you have repented and I had you have restored yourself, now I want you to go out. Now I want you to go and deliver my word. And just knowing, you know, how God knows what's on your heart and what's on your mind, and that he has prayed for you is just powerful to me.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. Yeah. You know, people, we talk about the life of Jesus and you know, God in flesh walking among us, as you said. We have to understand that, yes, Jesus was fully God, but he was fully man as well.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He dealt with the same burdens. He felt the burden that was on Peter's heart, so he prayed for him. You know, he had that, he was, Jesus says, I and the Father are one. He knew Peter's heart. He knew what was on there. He felt that burden, so he prayed for him. He prayed for him. And what's beautiful about Peter is that he was so close with Jesus, one of his closest disciples. And when he did deny him three times when you know Jesus was standing before with all the soldiers, the multitude of soldiers is what the Bible says, and he denied him, it broke his heart. Because I'm sure after he did deny him those three times, it just flashed to his head, oh my goodness, like the Lord told me I was gonna do this, and I did it anyway. And you know, it it broke his heart, and that happens so many times with us. Yeah, we go out and we do something, not thinking anything of it, but then God will prick our heart with it, uh prick our hearts with it later, and it just breaks us. Lord, I'm so sorry, I had no idea. The smallest things, you know. I'm sure that when Jesus told Peter that, he was the he even in the scripture it says he's like, oh no, Lord, I could I could never do that to you. Wouldn't do that, absolutely not. Then he does it, and it's just a powerful thing when we go out, we do things that we know, deny God, but we have to learn what it is to die out daily, as Paul says. And Peter knew what that was. And Peter would go on after Jesus ascended into heaven to you know preach, in my opinion, one of the most powerful sermons in the Word of God. And he took what he learned with Jesus, he took that closeness, that relationship to learn what his voice sounded like when he wasn't there. Yeah. To learn what the Holy Spirit was, to glean from it and everything like that. And it's just, yeah, it's a wonderful story. And you know, Peter knew what it was to repent. Yes. And it's an important thing.
SPEAKER_00Well, hey go ahead. I I love uh just being able to I feel like we get a little bit of insight, uh, you know, an uncut, you know, view of Jesus' relationship with his disciples. Because I, you know, I definitely love that that you know interaction between Peter and and Jesus. But I also think about um Thomas. And he unfortunately gets the nickname from us doubting Thomas at times uh because he doubted, but all of them had doubted. The girls came back from the tomb and said, Hey, we saw and like, I don't believe you, I don't believe you. But God didn't come in there and just you know strike lightning and say, I can't believe I told you guys to believe. He was like, Alright, Thomas, use my hands, put your fingers through them aside, here you go. Yeah, I want you to believe. And then afterwards he says, Blessed are those who have not seen but believe. And so him being so just I want to say gentle, you know, and understanding with his disciples gives me encouragement because there's times when we have doubted, when we you know we've denied. Yeah. And if if God was willing to do that for you know his disciples, he says, I'm no respecter of persons. How much more he's gonna do for us, it encourages me because I'm like, man, these are people in the word. These are people that are going, that I went through stuff just like we're going through, stumbled, just like we stumbled. And but they overcame, and that's encouraging.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it is. The flesh is weak, but the spirit is strong. That is what I glean from it, you know. That story with Peter, his flesh was weak in that moment.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01He had the crowd pressing on him. Do you know this man? Dude, wait, aren't you the guy? I've seen walking with him. And the flesh was weak. Yep. The flesh was like, these people will stone me right here if I say yes. I gotta deny him, I gotta deny him. But the spirit is crying out saying, just accept him. And it that's something that I saw. I saw a clip earlier uh today, you know, about the flesh being weak. You know, the spirit wants so badly to get in this word for you to pray and for you to weep before God. The spirit wants it so badly, but the flesh is weak. And we're talking about Peter, we're talking about the voice of God. I spoke about it a couple Sundays ago. The Holy Spirit works oftentimes in split-second moments. In moments when we're busy, we're rushing, we gotta, you know, get to work, maybe we gotta get the kids ready for school, whatever it is. But the Holy Spirit pricks us and he's like, hey, slow down, take a moment, let's pray, let's read. And we're so quick to turn away and just keep going on with what we're doing. But we've got to slow down, take a moment to marinate in the word. If the spirit pricks you to get in the word, get in the word because he's got something to tell you. If the spirit pricks you to pray, pray because he's trying to get you to pray for something that's gonna happen to you. Absolutely. That's right. You know, he often works in those split seconds, and that's part of that discernment of the voice of God is determining, oh, wait, the Lord's speaking to me right now. I gotta slow down. We're so quick to just keep going because the flesh is weak.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01The flesh is telling us, oh, if you don't get here a certain time, you this is gonna happen, this is gonna happen, this is gonna happen. But the spirit's telling you to just seek him. Yeah. And it's great when you have routine time allotted out for God. Not everybody has that time, but we still have to recognize even if we have an hour in the day where we've got nothing but just us and God having a conversation, we still got to learn what it is to recognize the Holy Spirit testing our faith just as he tested Peter in that moment.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Are you gonna deny him? Which Jesus told him he would. Yeah. But that was still a test of faith that Peter failed in that moment. But there is mercy and grace in failures. That's right. And that's what he told Peter before it even happened. He told him when you repent. When you come back to me. You will come back. Yes. That that's man, I'll tell you what. All the failures of my life. Now, ain't that the truth? If there wasn't mercy and grace, ain't that the truth? Yes, man, it's a beautiful thing. Yeah, it is. You know, even when even when you mess up on your discernment, you don't recognize the voice, you don't step out in faith in the moment, you don't recognize it, there's grace in your failures. Yes. And God knows that because we're not perfect. Nope. That's why he had to come.
SPEAKER_02That's right.
SPEAKER_01Yes. That's why he had to come walk among us. He's referred to as the second Adam for a reason. Yep. A second Adam was required. A sin sacrifice was to be made. A blood sacrifice for our sin had to be made so that we could have a way to that mercy, to that grace, salvation. A scripture that caught my eye earlier this week in reading is no one cometh to the Father but through me. And oftentimes we read that scripture and we're like, wow, that's that's powerful. You know, Jesus is fully God, a man. But what I glean from that scripture is nobody gets a relationship with the Father but through the salvation that he died for on the cross. No one gets to the Father without accepting mercy and grace in their life. Because that's what he died for. Yes. So that we would accept that. And oftentimes we don't feel worthy of it. We truly don't. And it that's the hardest thing. It was the hardest thing for me to overcome. I've talked to so many people that that's the hardest thing for them to overcome in their life is just feeling worthy of that mercy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We feel like what we've done is so bad. We feel like we're just too far gone. But when we can finally see, we get in the word, we see what other people were unworthy of, yet God still delivered them, still mercy, that's right, and grace, and it's a beautiful thing. Sorry, I kind of went on a good thing. It's all tangent there, but it is important. Yes, it is that we recognize the weight of the Father. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01And it's through the salvation that He died for on the cross. That's right. It's a beautiful thing. Absolutely beautiful thing. Well, we'll move into our worship song of the week. Um what what song did you hear that spoke to you? What song did you hear that prick your heart this week? Dad, do you want to start us off this week?
SPEAKER_02So my worship song of the week is God, I'm just grateful. Oh. Yeah, that's it. My Elevation Worship. Well, Charlie Moore, he sings it, but the version with Elevation Worship and Charlie Moore, it's it's good. Yeah. It's real good. I've been listening to that here lately, but you know, just know that, you know, I'm just grateful for him. You know, he never left me. He never gave up on me. He did even through my darkest times, my darkest moments, you know, God never, ever gave up on me. Yeah. He never gives up on you. I mean, even though you may think that he's not there, he's always there. And I am just so grateful for him. Yeah. It's just, it's amazing. And it's a good song. It's a good song.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, it is good. And I love that, you know, we we can be strengthened in that that God does not giving up on us. That's right. Yeah. If he asked us to forgive seven times seventy, how much more is he willing to forgive in a day?
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That's yeah, that's it's so encouraging.
SPEAKER_01He'll never leave you or forsake you. Nope. He's always there, and I'm grateful that he is. That's right. Because there's moments that we stumble, and more importantly, there's moments that I really need him. And I can reach out and just know that he's right there beside us, hold my hand. Lord, I need you. If whether it's you know walking into something at work, walking into a situation that you're uncomfortable in, he's always there. And I'm grateful for his presence.
SPEAKER_02Lord created me a clean heart and renewed my spirit.
SPEAKER_01And there's so many moments. There's so many moments in life where you just have that that that almost I call it a funny prayer where something happens and you're just like, Lord, help me. Yeah, exactly. Lord, I need you, please. They come quite often. I'll tell you what. And you know, I think I believe it was Pastor that spoke about it Sunday. Start speaking those small prayers. You will be shocked when he shows up. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We shouldn't be, though. I've told him before my trips, uh, a couple of work trips I've taken overseas and stuff like that. I've said some short prayers like Lord, get us out of here. Yeah. And it's a he and he's faithful. He hears some things. Yes, he is. Wow.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely wonderful. What you got for us?
SPEAKER_00I'll jump in mine. Um I was listening on the other way here, actually, uh when I got up here. Anything is possible by Bethel Music. Oh, I love that song. It's just such a I I feel I feel like it's a battle rhythm. Yeah, it's uh I I love the opening, which is you know, it's awesome. They he's got an arrival, uh, no shadow, shadow, you know, over sh uh overwhelps his light, but I really love it when it gets into the what uh I believe the uh chorus and it goes into show me one thing that's too hard. Show me waters he can't part. Right. He's the God of the breakthrough, and anything is possible. And it's just so true. There are things in our life that we're like, oh well, this is a mountain, this is a big problem, God can't handle this, I'm gonna try to tackle my own self, and he may and you mess it all up, you get it all just out of bent out of shape, and you're stressed out, and you and then you give it over to God, and then you know he brings not only peace, but he saw you know, he it maybe doesn't solve the way we wanted it to, or we thought it should be, but it solves out in his perfect way. And that is just such a relief. So much peace comes through that, and you wish you had already given it to him, but there's nothing impossible for him. There's nothing that comes against him, there's no weapon that's formed that will prosper coming against us because of the Lord and Jesus working through us. That's right, that's right. And it's just, I don't know. I I I really enjoy that song.
SPEAKER_01It reminds me of a uh this isn't my song of the week, but it reminds me of a Brandon Lake song called Watch This. And in the chorus, he says, um, there's a line that says, You said too big, but he says watch this. Yes. And that you know, it talks about all the miracles in the Bible of, you know, uh the Jericho walls falling, you know, Goliath falling. That you know, there's nothing too big that you can't solve. Anything is possible. So yeah. What a yeah, it's an awesome song. Like a war anthem almost. Um My Song of the Week, it's a newer release. You guys, I don't know if you guys probably haven't heard it, um, but it's by Tiffany Hudson. I don't know if you know her, she's the girl that sings on uh Jesus Be the Name with Elevation Worship. She's the main lead vocalist on that. Um but she released a song called Room. And the line that, if you haven't heard it, listen to it, it's a great song. But um there's a line in the chorus that just keeps repeating. It just keeps repeating. It says, Your glory fills the room, your glory fills the room. Every time I shout holy, your glory fills the room. And it's so awesome. It's I picked that song because I've heard it in the truck this week. I've listened to it in prayer, but every time that song plays, I just get in that mindset of his presence is all around me. He surrounds me with his presence. When I'm in a weeping prayer, a time of vulnerability, he's there wrapping me in his love. He's just his glory just fills the room that you're in as long as you're believing that he truly resides in you and he's always there. Um so that song is is just really spoke to my life this week. And it's a great song. I got it.
SPEAKER_00That reminds me of, I think Matt Matt Mayer is uh in the room. That's similar song. I I I think I you know. He's in the room? I just want to be in the room with Jesus. Oh, yes, yes, yes. Yeah, I think. Yeah, I I agree. You know, sometimes we're just you know come to church and we've you know, it's a tough week. You've you've gone into some problems maybe at home, and you're just so ready, you know. You're like, I don't want to go to church, I just want to uh I just I'm fed up with it, but I but I can just get to the get to the house of the Lord and just start laying off some burdens. And once you get in the room, you're like, okay, well, I can make it, yeah, and just be strengthened. You just want to sit in his presence. Yes.
SPEAKER_01I just want to be in your presence. Yeah. Well, we'll move into our top five segment this week. I mentioned earlier in the episode it's gonna be a top three. Reason I'm doing a top three is because I think if we do five with this topic, it might get a little difficult to, especially if we're all picking different ones, it might get a little difficult to get someone. So we're gonna do top three. Okay. We're gonna change the style a little bit. Since we're doing three, we're just gonna go like one, two, three, and then back to the top. We're not gonna do the back-to-back picks. Okay. Okay. Um, but since we're talking about God's voice, since we're talking about getting in a relationship with him, discerning his voice, I want to do top three ways that God has spoken to you. Okay. Top three ways that God has spoken to you. It could be just a general way he speaks to you, it could be a specific way he's spoken to you with a testimony, okay, whatever it is. Um how do you guys want to do order?
SPEAKER_02It don't matter.
SPEAKER_01Do you want to go first? Just a given question. Yeah, sure. I'll go first. I'll go first. Um the number one way that God speaks to me personally is through scripture. Um, and I think that it's like we were talking about earlier. When you're getting in the word and you're marinating in it and you learn what his voice sounds like, there's often times he'll he'll prick me in in moments out in the world where I need to speak to someone. But who when I'm in the word, man, words will just dad has said it many times before, they'll just jump off the page. Yeah. And that that's the number one way he speaks to me. I'll take that at as I first move forward. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um I I think the number one way that uh he's spoken to me, I know I love the word absolutely. Yeah. I think um, and probably just as as important, obviously, as prayer. You know, as you sit there in prayer and you've you know shut off all the distractions, you put everything out, you know, all the cares, the worries, whatever it may be on your shoulders, it's just bothering you. And you're just focused completely on him. And it's not even like, hey, I you know, I I I need you to help me meet the bills today, or I need to, you know, I'm hurting my body, can you heal my body? It's just you know, just a prayer that you're seeking his will or you're seeking him, and then he is faithful to respond to that. Yeah, absolutely. Um and that's been my experience. It's just you know, a deep, sincere, I want to see your face, I want to hear from you, you know, type of prayer. Absolutely. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02For me, it's uh it's through others. Yeah, I was gonna pick that. Through others. You know, I've had so many times where you know I have, you know, um have you know jotted some things down in my notes and everything, what I had the thoughts that I had, and then it's like a revelation just comes out of so it's like, oh my gosh. That is just what I did. And it's mainly it's through others for me.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. Yeah. I like that, yes. Another way he speaks to me oftentimes, and I think it's just because I'm I'm in it every day, I'm listening to it every day, is through uh worship music. Yes. Um, you know, whether it's particular lines in a song or whether it's a title of a song, there have been many times where I've been thinking of a song in my head, and my playlist has, you know, probably over four or five hundred tracks on it, and I shuffle it every day and I just listen to it, and sometimes I'll be thinking of something in my head, and the next song that comes on, I'll I'll glance over at the screen in the car and I just see the title and I know it's God speaking to me right there through that song. Right. And I'll begin to weep as I hear the words and they merit in my spirit. So worship music is is another big way he speaks to me.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Now I'll take one. I don't know if you any of you either of you have had this experience before, but I I think he is it hasn't happened a lot, but through dreams. Yeah, there's been I there's been a one or uh a handful of dreams that I've you know woken up and uh you know I've I've leaned on our our uh our very versed and learned brother uh Dickens and just talked to him a little about that and he's like yeah I believe that one's from the Lord. Uh yeah, there's been a couple, the one one that you know just happened here, I would say within the past year, maybe maybe it was last year, uh just an encounter with the enemy in the form of a lion and just speaking the name Jesus and that lion being slain just like that, my problem taken care of. Yeah, and so it's I it it's I always say it's doesn't happen often, but uh it absolutely can.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's a dream you'll never forget, that's for sure. Yeah. Very vivid dreams when he speaks to us through those, yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know, this is gonna sound probably crazy because it's happened to me. I'm just gonna say this right now. Um I have had, you know, the Lord impress on me things when I have seen a road sign.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_02So kind of like, you know, going down 285, you know, and this has happened this happened to me, like, and going down 285, I don't driving down 285, and there's a road sign there, it's just pass with care. And when I seen that road sign pass with care, it made me think about, okay, so what about the man, the lame man that was at the pool? Yeah. Yeah. All of the other the lame man couldn't make it to the pool, everybody was passing him up. So it made me, and and I type, you know, my tet my uh devotion out on the road sign, you know, based off the road sign. Coming through the school zone, says in school zone, the word in, eternity, not death. I mean, it's just things like that, you know, analogy, you know, when I say analogies or that's not analogies, that's uh acronyms, right? Just hitting me just off the road signs. Yeah, I mean, that's awesome. It's pretty crazy. I think it's good. I never think about it before.
SPEAKER_00That's I mean if they're missing out on something. I mean, it's like, oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna, for my last pick here, I'm I'm gonna go along the lines of what you said, but a little different. I'm gonna go visions. Yes. Um, it's happened to me um three separate times that I that I know for sure. Yeah. Three distinct times. And the most recent one, you guys have heard the testimony about it, but every night I uh you know pray over mine and Sierra's baby girl Charlotte. I go to her threshold and I pray over her room, I pray over her mind, her spirit, I plead the blood of Jesus over her life, and I repeat this prayer every night. It's a routine prayer that I do. And the other night I, for some reason, the spirit impressed on me to just speak, Lord, could you just sit in there with her tonight? And outside the door, I had the door shut, she was asleep, I saw a vision, as if I was standing in the room, saw the crib to the left, the um glider chair right there, and I just saw the Lord, a silhouette of him just sitting there, staring at me, almost giving me that confirming look of I hear your prayers, I'm here, you don't have to worry about it. I'm always here, you've been doing good, you've been pleading the blood, so visions for me, it's happened a few distinct times, um, but it's another big way that I believe God can speak to us.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. You know, I love that. Um probably the last thing for me, and I do it, I would say pretty often. I don't know, maybe if I remember, it's at least probably once a week, maybe, you know, I'd say once every two weeks, is I'll be getting home sometimes late, and I'll be walking to the house. And where we're at, there there's there can be moments where there's not a lot of light. So I give you an unobstructed view of the stars that are up in the sky when we have a cleared, uh, you know, not overcast time. And I just look up there at all the stars in the in a in the night sky, and I think of, you know, they're still shining because God said, let there be light. And he told them to do it. And it's just the you know, seeing videos on the vastness of space and all that's out there. And it humbles me because even though there's there's an infinite you know amount of space on uh you know, that we could we can't even see uh probably all that's out there with the with the telescopes or you know that are available to us. But in spite of all that, God is we have that we've called the apple of his eye, yeah, that he cares so much for us, and it's just so humbling to to uh in that moment and gives you a bit of perspective, and so that's how I think God's you know kind of speaks a little bit through our creation and say, Hey, I love you so much. Yeah, that there may be the vastness of everything around you, but I care about you. I care about you know the soul. Yes, beautiful.
SPEAKER_02Oh man. All of them have been taken. We didn't leave much to do.
SPEAKER_01That's why I did top three, because top five would have gotten top five would have gotten very much.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'll tell you, you know, uh this happened to me um when not the last time I had I think it was the last time we had gone to the islands. I was sitting on the back porch, and the Lord had, you know, I just, you know, at the you know, on the islands, you just sit there listening and looking at the beach. Yeah. You know, and the Lord impressed on me, you know, there was a storm coming. You know, and I just sit there and watch the storm.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02You know, and I just sent it as getting closer, closer, and closer. You know, and we had all this stuff on the back porch that needed to be picked up. Yeah. But I sat there and I watched it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02And the Lord oppressed on me, he says, How many times have you sat and watched a storm coming? And you waited for it, and you waited to hit it for it to hit, and that's when you've done something about it. You seen it coming in the very beginning. Why didn't you take the initiative to get up and do something? Yeah. And when it hit me that way, I was like, oh my gosh. How many times have we had things that have happened and we seen that it was gonna happen? We knew it was gonna happen and we waited for it to happen. Yeah. Yes. Then we reacted. We weren't proactive, we were reactive. Very true, yeah. When all he said was, is I put the pro I put it out there for you to take care of it right then and there, but you chose not to do it. Yeah. That, you know, I guess through nature. Yeah. Yeah. So it's powerful. Very powerful.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. That's a good, good little top three. I love that. That's awesome. Some good picks there, some good testimonies there. Yes, yeah. Um, let's um, final thing before we get out of here. Let's pray over these viewers here. Yep. Make sure that God blesses their life this week and just pray that He's always with them. Lord Jesus, thank you, God, we come to you tonight, Lord. We thank you for this opportunity. Thank you, Lord. To film another podcast, to have another conversation with these men up here, Lord. It's just truly a blessing on my life. I can't thank you enough for it. But God, more importantly, I pray that this word that we've spoken today, the very conversation we've had, I pray that it goes out and accomplishes its purpose. Thank you, Jesus. I pray that it speaks to that viewer right now, struggling to discern your voice, struggling to hear your voice in the storm, God. I pray that you bring this podcast in their feelings. I pray that you drop this word into their heart. I pray that the words we've spoken marinate and transform their relationship with you, God. Lord Jesus, you are everything they have need of. Thank you. Bring that revelation to their heart in this moment, Lord God, through this podcast, through this word that we've spoken. Lord, I ask that you just continue to use us for your kingdom. Reveal to us what you'd have this podcast to be. Reveal to us the next thing that you'd have us to do, God, because we want nothing more but to glorify your mighty name. Let this podcast go out, let it grow, let it marinate in the heart of the unbeliever, and let it encourage the believer, God. For we want nothing for it to grow your kingdom, Lord Jesus. We want nothing but for it to glorify you. Lord, I pray for us today that you give us the strength and the courage to continue to speak your word in a time of muddiness, in a time of fogginess. Lord, we know that you can clear up all of that. And we thank you for that beautiful revelation. And lastly, God, we thank you for your mercy and grace. Yes. For without your mercy and grace abiding in our life, we truly could not be saved. And I thank you for those two things in my life. I thank you for pouring them into the lives of Jesse, Dad, up here today, and the lives of these viewers. We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. What a wonderful episode and conversation we've had. Always a joy to come up here and film the Spirit Unleash podcast with you guys. It's truly a blessing for my life.
