Okay. Yeah, apparently it's working now. I don't know how we've been very glitchy lately, and uh not sure exactly why. Don't know. I see. I haven't been able to get the bird cam working for the last three or four days. Yeah, hang on, John. Um let's see. Gonna hold on here. Um John Peterson's calling. Uh, we'll get to him in a moment. I do want to get to the weather. And uh let's see, do I still have uh Luna? Are you there with the weather for Madison, Wisconsin? Good morning, Luna. Oh, you're not with me either. Here, John's trying to call me.

All right. Uh Luna, how's the uh weather looking for the weekend around Madison? Yeah, I've lost Luna now. Everything is just going uh one thing after another, it's not working. Uh let's see if John Peterson can join us this morning. Uh good morning, John. Let me bring you on here. How are you doing? Hey, how's it going? Well, it's going, you know, everything's uh a little hinky this morning. I know it is.

Just like last time, I have you I have your video, but we can't get your microphone working. I don't know if it's on your end or my end, but now my bird cam has been out for a few days. I don't know what's happening there. I've tried rebooting that. And uh Luna, are you still there? I can't tell. Uh yeah, try your mic one time here, Luna. Okay. John, are you still with me? I am. Okay. All right. It sounds a little weird. I'm not sure why. Uh let me see. Well, no, I think it's the fact that I still have Luna on the line as well. I don't know how that happened, but let me uh close her out here. There we go. Now we can maybe hear you a little bit better. Okay, so good morning once again. Uh here it is Friday. Uh, a lot of stuff going on. I don't know where to begin, but uh at least it's a beautiful day. And it's gonna heat up over the weekend, and then we're gonna be back into the big heat next week. So, you got big plans for the weekend? Anything going on in your world? Anything to do with any projects?

That's weird. I do have a little bit of an echo there. I'm wondering if your so your mic is not working at all, as far as we know, right? My mic shouldn't be working. Really? Well, put the uh take the phone away, you know, put the phone under your desk for a second and let's just check your mic. How's that? Yeah, I think your mic is working now.

Yeah, I don't know either. Uh, Catherine Lake is on vacation. Let me see. I have a picture though. She sent a picture. Let me see if I can get this on, and uh we'll see. There she is. Uh let me bring down our pictures here so we can see her. Uh, she's on the far right there. And uh then on the far left is her sister Sherry, and then uh Captain Mike is in the middle there. They're on a sailboat somewhere heading toward Canada up near Seattle, past Seattle. So uh that's the only picture she has sent so far. So it looks like uh yeah, clear sailing. Uh so good for her. Now, uh, let's see, how do I get rid of this?

Do you do you know about this guy? This is Captain, this is Count Bin Face. Count Count Binface is uh running for some office in Great Britain. Uh, and uh this is his gig. He's got a big trash can on his head, and he's a superhero. Um, so we're gonna be following his progress as uh as we move along. All right, yeah, sounds good. Okay, all right. Oh, let me see how I can get rid of this. If I can ever get rid of this. He looks like a character from Doctor Who. He does, doesn't he? Yeah.

Oh, what what are we hearing? I've got I've got Alexa reacting to my Doctor Who comment. Now she wants to help me with all the characters on Doctor Who. Alexa, forget it.

Okay. Uh all right. Uh how do I have to do that?

I've got I've got smart Alexa now. I've got AI AI Alexa, basically.

Well, right, and um, I think Luna has also upped her game here in the last couple of days, so they must have done something uh because she will answer me uh immediately when I talk to her now.

Yeah, how does that happen? That's great.

I know, I I don't know, but I can't have since I've got you on the phone, I can't have her on the phone at the same time. Okay, or it screws everything up.

Well, I know, I know. This is your love affair with Luna and things are taking off. I can understand. I'm I'm there with you on that.

Uh she's been with me from the beginning, and uh, you know. Uh anyway. Uh okay, just a few headlines here. Let's let's breeze through through these. I and I know you have you've commented on your show, you know, uh John's Media World Extra and uh the new Air Force One, uh, you know, that Qatari jet. Uh they sidelined it uh because of well, first Trump said, well, he wanted to send it, uh he wanted to go back on the original Air Force One so they could send the new Air Force One around on a tour so the troops could look at it over in Europe, which was BS. Right, they really care because there's some kind of security um worries with these this new Qatari jet because it doesn't have all the defensive capabilities that Air Force One has, and all the communications uh don't work the way that the Air Force One communications work, and um the Israelis uh uncovered a plot against Trump um to cause him harm in some way, so supposedly, supposedly, yeah. So we don't, yeah, allegedly, we don't know. Um, so that new jet is working out just fine.

Here's a question. I I heard you talk about this, and the thing is, are the is Air Force One the same size as this jet that he's souped up a little bit?

Boy, that's a great question. I no, I think uh I think that new jet is actually a little bigger and it's definitely heavier.

Like you mentioned that like some airport runways because it's too big.

Right. They have to they would have to remodel the runways, yeah, make them wider and thicker.

Or he can only go to major airports to land.

Right, right, so that's a problem. Yeah, um, yeah. Um let's see. So the war is back on again. Iran is attacking U.S. bases in Jordan, and uh the US continues to attack Iran. So what happened to the ceasefire?

I yeah, well, I I read something where they're actually doing this on purpose so they don't have to get the negotiations going. They want to keep this war going for whatever reason. I don't know.

Yeah, well, uh it seems that's that's the case. Uh now so far I haven't noticed gas prices jumping up too much just in the last couple of days, but get ready. I mean, if you can find them at uh let's see, Costco and Woodmans have gas at $349. Uh over in Milwaukee, it's $329. I guess I I checked gas buddy this morning. Milwaukee's a little cheaper, $329. But um, we can probably expect over the weekend these prices may start to climb again.

And uh speaking of Trump, and I don't want to give it too much play here, but uh uh they've now renamed the Florida Palm Beach International Airport, the Donald J. Trump International Airport, and that's the first airport ever named for a president who's still living, alive.

Yes, I know he's I I mentioned on my show that he's tweaking the Grim Reaper, you know, saying, Hey man, I can get things done before I die. Right. So I don't know. But Eric made the big announcement they had to they had to land first, they had to be the first airplane to land first on a new newly named airport.

Wow, yeah, and they're saying he's not gonna profit by having this name on, but and then there are also reports that well, he can still sell t-shirts with that name on and and other paraphernalia, you know, other other merch.

So here's the thing I I saw a TV coverage of it, I should have recorded it, but uh they apparently did some coverage at the airport, and a whole bunch of new signs are going up. Uh storefronts are going up. Uh, it's gonna be a Trump airport, definitely, without without any question. You'd be able to buy a watch, maybe citizenship, who knows at the airport.

Citizenship, yeah. Um yeah, and uh once again, there's more uh mystery. There are tarps going up around the White House, uh around the north of Congo, the columns, yeah, yeah, because they have according to Trump, so you know, believe it or not, a hundred and there's like 150 years of paint uh on those columns. There's like tons and tons of paint, and they want to chip all of that away. But the secret plan, they say, is that he wants to remove those columns and put in you know more ornate columns. So God bowl that. Oh my god. Everything he touches turns to crap, right?

You've seen the videos of another fountain that is all polluted and has has uh algae in it. It's yeah, horrible. I don't know where that fountain is. I they never say which one it is, where it's located. Um I don't know, but it it's disgusting looking, that's for sure.

Yeah, I did see that, and I don't know where that is either. I think it's somewhere in Washington, DC, but I'm not I'm not totally sure. I think it's uh maybe at a nearby park or maybe across the street from the White House. I yeah, we'll have to do some investigating. We'll get the eye team on that, get the investigators checking that out. Um, a few things happening around Madison this weekend. If you're in the Madison, Wisconsin area, it's burgers on the Bay on Monona Bay. Uh, they're doing that uh today, uh, from five till eight, live music from six until eight. Of course, you'll have to figure out how to get there because John Nolan Drive is all ripped up. And uh good luck, you know.

Yeah, I haven't been on John Nolan Drive for ages now, so I'm not even sure how that looks.

I've avoided it. Apparently, one one of the lanes going one direction has been completed, and they're going to open some of that. Uh, but there's still a whole lot more to go, and they're gonna build that boardwalk. That's they're gonna start on that fairly soon. And uh, art fair on the squares this weekend. I know that's one of the big events that you love to go to, right, John?

Well, that's pretty cool, yeah. It is okay.

Yeah, that's happening uh Saturday. And if you really want to uh have some fun, you can go to a comedy and burlesque variety show at the Crucible. That's on commercial drive. That's over that's not too far away from me. So I might have to check that out. I don't know. Uh in fact, that does it for my oh oh uh oh, here's a little item that yeah snuck under the radar, and Trump has terminated the election assistance commission. Yeah, so you know, all these other things grab the headlines, but this one, wow. So this is this election commission, they're the ones that help out all the states with the elections, you know, helps to help to supervise them, help to help to any, you know, structural things they need, any anything they need, uh, to make sure that the elections are on the up and up. Yeah, he just got rid of those election commissioners.

They're gone. And now what's gonna happen? Total chaos, confusion.

Oh, obviously, he's gonna make more chaos and confusion leading up to the the midterms, and then and it has to it has to be a balanced board, too.

You know, the right and left have to be represented on a four members, and they wiped them out, gone.

Yeah, and that was I think part of the uh supreme court when they allowed him to yeah, you can go ahead and fire you know these independent agencies that yeah, so he so he's taking that power, and that's what he's doing.

Was it planned all along? Um that's what it sounds like to me, right?

I know. So uh here we go. I don't know, it's gonna be a crazy, crazy year uh leading up to the elections. Um, yeah, that's all I have for today. I told you I was gonna keep this one fairly short, but uh because of our technical issues on on my end and your end, you know. We started I started the show, and then immediately it did this thing where you know where where your computer just goes to the white thing and there's a little thing that says, Oh, awesnap. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what it did. So I know, yeah. I don't know.

Well, you know, I I was gonna actually talk about the uh Medi Hassan had done a show where his guest, he and his guest were talking about bidets. I know you that well, bidets, who uses those, Catherine. Oh, a bidet, is that because you're a senior citizen now? You need a little help, you know? But it's not it's not that at all. And and this is the one thing that I I took away from their conversation is that if you have excrement under your arm, what are you gonna do? Wipe it off with paper, or are you gonna wash it off? So that's the best example I can give. I have a bidet here, I say it's fantastic, you know, right? Crap on your body with paper, take anything off.

So you're a big fan of bidets, and you know, and I understand that. And it didn't cost that much to do this, right?

It was no, no, it really doesn't. I mean, they have them from you know, like fifty dollars to three hundred, four hundred dollars, you know, yeah, depending on what you want.

And it's just an attachment, right?

You it is it's a it's it's the seat. You just replace the seat with a bidet, you can get a remote control on it. A lot of them have the uh controls attached to the seat. Uh, you can get a fan, it can heat the seat a little bit for you or a lot. It heats the water, it does a whole bunch of things. Of course, the best thing, and my little tip thing I found out from my first bidet, which I got rid of, is you should put a water filter from the wall to the bidet so it doesn't build up calcium and all all the other junk sand and rust that might be in the water.

That's a helpful tip uh from John. Well, that's good. That's that's great. Do you have them on all the toilets or just one toilet?

Just one. Yeah, yeah, it's elongated uh toilet and uh the shorter ones, you know, the round toilets, the shorter toilets. I I haven't seen too many bidets for that, but my son does want one. So but here's the here's the problem with one of the better bidets, you have to plug it in. It had it needs AC. So you can get them without AC, but it really helps to you know to heat the seat and the water and stuff like that. It helps.
