00:04:47.600 --> 00:05:00.639 Because if you remember, I'm sure they were watching up on the hill as Jesus was eventually died, and as they pierced his side with that sword, and they took him down. 00:05:01.600 --> 00:05:14.399 And they knew that because of 6 o'clock approaching, the Sabbath is about here, that they didn't have enough time to do all the embalming that they had with the spices and the myrrh. 00:05:14.879 --> 00:05:23.759 So Mary Magdalene was going back with more myrrh and spices to finish the embalming. 00:05:26.160 --> 00:05:29.199 Now remember, he said, I'm not going to be here. 00:05:31.839 --> 00:05:36.800 Remember, Jesus had said, destroy this temple three days, I'm going to raise it again. 00:05:39.680 --> 00:05:46.000 I must go to Jerusalem and I must suffer and I must die, but on the third day I'm coming back up out of the grave. 00:05:46.560 --> 00:05:47.360 That's what he said. 00:05:47.519 --> 00:05:49.759 That's what he told them over and over again. 00:05:51.839 --> 00:05:58.000 So don't get so hard on yourself when you read and don't listen or don't believe. 00:06:00.079 --> 00:06:00.720 Amen. 00:06:01.839 --> 00:06:04.079 But now watch, this story is powerful. 00:06:04.319 --> 00:06:14.000 On that first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, and it was yet dark unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. 00:06:14.160 --> 00:06:17.199 Then she runs back and she tells Peter and John. 00:06:18.319 --> 00:06:24.560 And I'm not going to take time to read the whole thing because I'm going to use verses because I know the story. 00:06:24.720 --> 00:06:26.800 And I'd rather tell the story. 00:06:27.040 --> 00:06:31.199 And so she runs back and she tells Peter and John and man, they take off. 00:06:31.680 --> 00:06:32.560 Here comes Peter. 00:06:32.959 --> 00:06:34.240 Peter, impetuous Peter. 00:06:34.639 --> 00:06:37.680 Bam!
