00:07:34.560 --> 00:07:47.680 Well, Acts 16.1 tells us when he found Timothy, and he met Eunice and Lois and saw their belief, and he mentions all they do is mention his dad, and his dad was a Greek. 00:07:47.839 --> 00:07:49.040 That's all it says. 00:07:49.360 --> 00:07:51.439 And we know Greeks were anti-God. 00:07:52.240 --> 00:07:54.480 They were worshiped multiplicity of gods. 00:07:54.879 --> 00:08:00.160 They did not believe that Jehovah, the Elohim, Adonai, was the Messiah. 00:08:00.240 --> 00:08:01.360 They did not believe that. 00:08:01.519 --> 00:08:04.560 In fact, they were very anti-dad. 00:08:04.959 --> 00:08:09.920 So chances are that, hey, he grew up with a dad that was lost. 00:08:10.959 --> 00:08:14.720 So don't think, don't, now that's not what we we want. 00:08:15.040 --> 00:08:23.360 We would love to see a dad come to know Christ as Lord and Savior, and two become, hey, two are better than one because they receive a great reward for their labor. 00:08:23.519 --> 00:08:25.040 Ecclesiastes 4.9. 00:08:25.360 --> 00:08:27.519 When one falls, the other is able to pick them up. 00:08:27.839 --> 00:08:36.320 And then they say, when you have two believers, you also have that what, that third person, that Holy Spirit dwelling within you that can overcome anything. 00:08:37.440 --> 00:08:40.960 Ecclesiastes 4 tells us, verses 9 through 12. 00:08:41.120 --> 00:08:57.840 But here we see that even though the husband possibly was lost and he did not have that godly influence, but because of the godly influence of Lois and Eunice, Timothy still turned out to be a champion for Christ. 00:08:59.200 --> 00:09:06.240 What a beautiful picture of the faith of our mothers and our grandmothers. 00:09:06.480 --> 00:09:09.600 So today let's look at the faith of our mothers. 00:09:09.759 --> 00:09:10.639 Number one. 00:09:11.679 --> 00:09:14.240 A mother's faith is convictional. 00:09:14.399 --> 00:09:16.159 Number one, it's convictional. 00:09:16.399 --> 00:09:25.519 Look at again, verse 5, the unfained faith, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois and thy mother Eunice. 00:09:25.759 --> 00:09:40.879 Now, as we carefully study Acts 16:1, which was Paul's second missionary journey, and where he found Timothy, what he saw in Lois and what he saw in Eunice, he saw this belief and this faith. 00:09:41.039 --> 00:09:44.000 And like I said, possibly stayed at their house. 00:09:44.320 --> 00:09:48.639 So we see that this faith was a convictional faith. 00:09:48.879 --> 00:09:50.000 A convictional faith. 00:09:50.080 --> 00:09:57.600 And in 2 Timothy 3.14, and we're going to look at here in a minute, it tells us, and we see this conviction. 00:09:57.759 --> 00:09:59.279 It was unbelievable. 00:09:59.600 --> 00:10:03.519 So we see that a convictional faith has two components. 00:10:03.679 --> 00:10:04.960 What is a conviction of faith?
