committed himself to him that is God, who judges righteously, who himself bare our sins in his body on the tree, that we having died to sins might live for righteousness, by whose stripes you were In fact, the purpose of the physical healing was so that he could ultimately heal them spiritually, which is the greatest healing. 00:08:34.960 --> 00:08:43.759 And then we think of him as the preacher, the bold, fiery preacher or the bold calm preacher that taught and preached to thousands. 00:08:44.080 --> 00:08:54.080 But when we come to the cross, the one image of Christ that I think surpasses all the other images is the Christ on the cross. 00:08:54.240 --> 00:09:06.960 Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2 2, he says, I am determined not to know anything among you except, now watch, should glory in anything except the cross, by whom I am crucified unto the world, and the world unto me. 00:09:28.639 --> 00:09:29.279 Wow. 00:09:30.559 --> 00:09:41.519 So the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is literally the outworking of God's redemptive purpose in time and eternity. 00:09:42.399 --> 00:09:50.960 For this very reason, and I put it in your notes, the cross is central to God's word and God's world. 00:09:51.600 --> 00:09:57.759 In fact, it is the cross that we see is prevalent in all the Word of God. 00:09:57.919 --> 00:10:15.600 In the Bible, we find the message of the cross of Christ central in the law, in the Old Testament, in the Psalms, in the prophets, in the Gospels, in the Acts, in the Pauline epistles, and all of Paul's writings, and in the book of Revelation. and my sins, and he was crucified, it was a mark in history that separates eternity for each of us. 00:10:53.679 --> 00:10:59.039 It is a profound state driven in the ground for an eternity.
