Hello, hello, hello. Welcome back to Lesing Out. My name's Peyton, and I'm Amber. Later on, we're gonna get into episode four of season two of I Kissed a Girl. Before we dive into that, Amber, do you have a hot take or anything you want to discuss today?
SPEAKER_01Yes, I have a hot take. So recently I was uh prescribed Lexapro. And Lexapro, for those who may not know, those who may be mentally healthy, is uh an antidepressant. And this uh this is not my first antidepressant. However, my hot take is that there should be a PTO or some sort of like rule that anybody, not just women, but men as well, anybody who gets prescribed some sort of a medication, such as an SSRI, uh gets some time off, maybe like two to three days off, because the adjustment period was not great for my body. There needs to be an adjustment period. So any medication, give me a doctor's note that says amber does not and cannot work for 48 hours.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I I agree with that. That shouldn't even be a hot take. That should just be like a standard thing. I have also been put on different antidepressants in my li on my days, and it can really like change how you act. Um it can really like put you in like a an odd kind of hazy place for a little bit. And I I agree with you. I think that while your body's adjusting to that, you should absolutely get some time for that to happen without feeling like you have to be bringing shareholder value.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm saying. It's like I'm not my best amper if I'm trying to figure out my body during this time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I think that's I think that's very fair. And that's like the bare minimum they could do. If you have to live and be on an antidepressant, the least you could do is get two days off of work to somewhat get yourself back together while you're adjusting. Truly. What's your hot take? Yeah, okay, so my hot take, and I'm saying this coming off of the heels of you all know we've been very much watching Love Island. We're not talking about it on here, but we did watch it. And I think for me, people need to stop sending so much hate to like reality stars because at the end of the day, these are real people. And I know people do it with like scripted shows as well, where maybe they don't like the main character or the enemy or whatever the case might be, and people just start sending like horrible messages, the opposite of well wishes, like the whole nine. And I just think that's wild. Like, I love fandoms, I think they're great. I think they in a way they can bring community, people can have something to kind of talk about, and it can be a common thread and and even a way to get to know other people sometimes. So I think there's a value to it, but I often feel like we've gone too far in fandoms to where, you know, whether it's Love Island or RuPaul's Drag Race or I Kissed a Girl or whatever the case might be, you do have some like rabid fans, Swifties. I'm looking at you, who will send like a bunch of hate to people who either don't align with their beliefs or who they think are acting out of character.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I completely agree. It is really scary to see. It's almost like a weird parasocial type of thing that happens where they think that they can comment negatively towards people's appearances, personalities, situations, things like that. That's a really good hot take. And I think to that I want to say making this podcast, we in no way, shape, or form are ever trying to come across as that type of podcast. 100% yeah, I whatever I comment on or Peyton comments on is situational. It's whatever we're watching in that specific episode, and it's never to put someone down. I mean, I know like in our last episode, we talked about putting certain people from I Kissed a Girl into Red Flag Island. There have been times I was like leading the ship to Red Flag Island. Literally. I'm only making opinions and statements based off of my own experiences and what I'm seeing on a situation, but never ever, ever wanting to put down anybody for any of the situations they put themselves in. So I definitely want to just like put that out there because I completely agree with this hot take that I we as a society have gotten too, too comfortable at negatively commenting on people on television, especially reality television. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'll agree more. Couldn't agree more. Um if you have any hot takes that you want us to share, send them our way. If you want us, if you want them to be anonymous, if it's like a really hot take and you're like, oh shit, I don't want people to know this is me, just tell us to send it anonymously, and we're happy to do that. Um but yeah, if you have any more hot takes, send them our way. We'd love to hear them, we'd love to talk about them and see if others feel the same way. I kissed a girl, season two.
SPEAKER_01We are on episode four. Do you have the description of this episode by chance?
SPEAKER_00You know that I do. The episode description from the BBC. After an intense kiss-off, the masseria waves goodbye to its first girl. Sad. But when cracks start to emerge in couples, candid conversations leave some feeling a little bit unsettled. An invitation from Cupid to attend a chemistry test under the stars leads the girls to a seductive evening full of temptation and tests. Danny oversees a spicy night culminating in a in one heart-racing surprise.
SPEAKER_01Amber. I love a heart racing.
SPEAKER_00What do you think from that description? What do you think's coming?
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. I think seeing someone leave the kiss off, super sad. I have no idea who it is. Not at all. That is sad because, like I said in the last episode, being the fur like being the first person to leave any sort of like reality show show, whether it's Love Island or whether it's I kissed a girl or even the I Kissed a Boy, you form these friendships, I'm sure. And you don't want to be the first person out of the maseria. And two, it's just like a bittersweet moment. So I'm sad to see someone go. I am excited to see what twists and turn you know Danny has for the gals because I like the games that they do. I like that it's very what's your opinion on XYZ fill in the blank, you know? Yeah. And it there leaves room for people to make their own judgments and voice their opinions in the masseria, which kind of always stirs up some trouble that I like. What do you think?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't know. I really like these compatibility tests that they do. For me, it's one of those things where I think that they do a fantastic job of like actually calling out things and maybe putting things on people's radar they hadn't thought about before. Versus some other shows that do stuff like this. Sometimes it feels like they're just having challenges for like the sake of having a game to play. But at least the two that we've gotten thus far, I don't remember as much from the first season. So maybe I'll eat these words in a couple episodes. But thus far, I feel like the ones that we have have been pretty much like very geared toward like who do you see with this person? Do you could you see yourself with somebody else? And I think that that keeps it fresh. Um, and also makes sure that these again aren't just being done for the sake of, oh, let's have a nice game for the girls to play. So I'm excited to get into what happens.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'm gonna get into what happens.
SPEAKER_00Before we do though, can we just do a quick recap of who the pairings are, where we left off last episode?
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. I have that readily available. Love it. So in the kiss off, we have these pairings. Alicia and Elise kissed each other. Duh. Go figure. Ashley and Renee. We were very excited about this one. I loved that one. Imogen and Ebony, we called that. Not much to say there. Yeah, done. We have Blessing and Lindsay, which we also love. Love. And then we have Kaylee and Tyra, which we triple love. Agreed. And then that episode ends with Elmira having to make her choice on either Nikita or Faye. So it kind of went fade to black, who's it gonna be? And we pick up episode four with this moment. So based off of that, do you want to say who Elmira picks? Uh so spoiler warning. Spoiler warning.
SPEAKER_00Honestly, if you haven't figured that out by this point, if you're watching the show and you're listening to these, hopefully you know there's gonna be spoilers, but yes, spoiler alert. Almira chooses Nikita, meaning that our first girl going home is our girl Faye. I was really upset about that. I was happy for Nikita. I was like, they do look very cute together, and later on they seem very smitten, which I know that we're gonna get into. I felt really bad for Faye. I did too.
SPEAKER_01I gasped. And I don't really get a lot of like gaspable moments in reality television because I'm like, oh okay, yeah, they're gonna pick this person. Same recipe, whatever. Yeah, exactly. But Elmira really just like took a left turn. I had no idea that was where we were going. And the the talking head of Elmira saying like she had really good chats with Nikita, and Nikita's a really good listener. I was kind of like, I was seeing that with Faye, I wasn't really seeing that with Nikita. So I had to take a little step back for myself and tell myself, okay, maybe there are chats that we didn't see that would have painted that picture better. So I didn't want to be mad about the situation because if that's what Elmira felt, good. Elmira should be with the person that made her feel the best. But it broke my heart for Faye.
SPEAKER_00It yeah, I agree. And Elmira said that Nikita makes her feel seen, which I can appreciate that. Like, you know, we've all met people before in our lives who are like, damn, they I feel like they actually like know where I'm coming from and they see me for who I am. So I'm very happy that she feels as though she's found that with Nikita. Um, I do think that there was something with the edit that didn't show us that because I feel like it's by her saying that she felt seen by Nikita, to me, it seems that they've had a lot of conversations where, you know, that's been kind of the result is they've had deep convos, Nikita feels good about it, Almira feels good about it, but we didn't really see any of that. I feel like the only conversation that I really remember of them was the one immediately following the conversation that Almira and Faye had about celibacy, and then immediately they went to Almira and Nikita, where they were just kind of like shooting the shit. Maybe that was just like an edit decision, but I feel like we definitely missed some stuff in their relationship.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I feel the same exact way because I was thinking back to to your point, one of their last conversations. In the last episode that we discussed, there was that kind of like awkward moment where Nikita wanted to go in for a kiss and we could just come off that conversation where Elmyra was talking about celibacy. So we as the viewers are like, oh Nikita, no, no, no, no, no, no, don't do it, don't do it. And that I guess kind of solidified in my mind, okay, maybe Faye is gonna get chosen. So when Faye didn't get chosen, I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, there's stuff that we didn't see because that would have given me an ick if I was Elmyra. But then again, I don't know what other conversations they've had. So I'm happy for them because they do seem like really into each other once they did the kiss-off, and that made me feel like okay, you know, she knows what she's doing, she's listening to herself, her body, her mind, her spirit, all of that. She chose who she wanted to choose, and I'm happy for her.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, we love that. And I do have to say the other girls looked pretty gagged by it. They seemed really shocked, they seemed kind of sad when Faye left, they seemed to not really also kind of be aligned with that in a way.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it made no sense in the moment, and to your point, the rest of the girlies that already did their kiss-off situations were shocked. Like I remember seeing Elise's face, mouth agape. Yeah, no idea that that was gonna happen. Literally face cracked. But I think it was in that moment, if I'm thinking just about Elise, the fact that she came in with Faye, and that was who she was OG paired with. And now that she has chosen Alicia, Faye is going home. And that could also be like a oh my gosh, it's all my fault, or I caused this. When I mean it's it's not your fault at all. Faye tried to put herself out there, and she just didn't, she didn't catch anyone. No one, no one wanted the bait.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's just not how it played out. And we will miss Faye. She did take it like a champ, I will say. I think the first thing she said when Danny asked, like, okay, I was tense, how do you feel? She was like, What's meant for me won't pass me by. And I think that's incredibly important. She could have crashed out, she could have cried. And listen, there's nothing at all wrong with crying. That's definitely not to say that people shouldn't be crying. I would have probably cried, to be very transparent with you. She took it like a champ. That's a really tough situation. As is, it's even tougher when you have cameras rolling and know that it's gonna be viewed by however many folks like across the globe. So I have a lot of respect for her. I think she handled it very, very well. The girls also, like when she was officially gone, they all kind of went back and were chatting, and people were like, It's gonna be weird not seeing her here when we wake up. So it's clear that Faye did very much make an impression on these girls, and she her presence is going to be missed. So hopefully, hopefully, once this is all said and done, they can all kind of link back up. And I know sometimes with shows like this, I feel like people who were the first ones or like an early one out often just kind of get forgotten. But I hope that's not the case with Faye. I hope that once filming was over, these girls were able to get back with her and kind of just you know go back to old times.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, especially knowing what Faye has said in her talking head about like having to fight for love and having to watch her just like try to make connections and people kind of not pay attention to her. She did. There were moments where no one was paying her any mind. So that kind of shook me in a weird way where I was like, is this genuine? Is it not? I do really feel though maybe it is genuine because everyone did look really sad sitting down and talking about her leaving. I really do hope that she stays a part of this group because you're right. Like, usually the first one or two people that leave are not in the group and end up doing their own thing and isn't really a part of what's happening on the outside afterwards, and that would break my heart to know that she's on the outs and everybody else is on the ins.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, I agree with you. I do have one tiny critique for Faye for all of the love that we've been giving her, and it's that I really wish I know that she branched out a couple times, but it felt like it was really contained to just the people that she knew. So, like obviously, she was trying to make it work with Elise. Part of that whole situation was Elise not being clear with her, so I know that that's kind of why she stuck with that. And then it's like she immediately kind of put all of her eggs um in Almira's basket. I wish that she maybe would have branched out a little bit further, maybe tried to talk to Ashley or Renee once her and Lindsay were done, but you know, that's not how it played out. It is what it is, and unfortunately, um our girl Faye is no longer in the maceria. We will miss you. Poor one out for Faye. Poor one out for Faye. So after the girls push all their beds together, we uh they wake up and Lindsay is immediately like, What about last night? Um, Tyra's still running high about matching with Kaylee. Um, and yeah, other than that, it seems like things are pretty good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it kind of segues into okay, everybody wakes up, they're outside, right? Everyone is doing their own thing outside. And we get Ebony, Tyra, and Kaylee together talking about having passion and wanting someone in social settings. So, like when you want someone so bad, but you're in a social setting and it's like the little light touches or the glances and all of that. But in that, we get a talking head of Ebony really just saying how she is down bad to want to have a conversation with Kaylee. Down bad, down bad. Yeah, and it makes me nervous for Imogen because we know that Imogen and her had this conversation prior to the kiss off, and Ebony kind of reassured her a little bit, and Imogen was upset and crying, which that was the first time we saw Imogen cry. Oh my god. Um so you know, it it seems like they're in a good place, but then there's flirtatious conversations that Ebony's having, not just with Kaylee, it's like Kaylee and other people, but it's almost like having it's like reading between the lines, right? Where it's Kaylee, I really wanna know like what's what's your sexual fantasy? Like, where do you want to see?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and also I'm like, it's also worth noting that Tyra was sitting right there, which it didn't seem like Tyra was picking up anything. So, like, she was just also kind of having the conversation, hee hee ha ha. But it was kind of funny because Ebony was like, I'm gonna flirt, and then she did, and Tyra was right there. And I was like, I mean, you know, this is a different situation than real life. Like in real life, that would not fly. It is different, different in the masquerad. Yeah, um, but yeah, I thought it was interesting that she wasted no time and Tyra was just there at the ready. And before we move on like too, too far, there is a little, it's we're gonna move forward a little bit, but there is like a little conversation that I did want to highlight. And um, that is when, which I think is more important than Imogene, Imogen and Ebony, Imogee, we're gonna start calling it. Imoge, I think. Um, because I don't want to talk about them anymore. And we're going to unfortunately multiple times today. The girls at some point were talking about how hard it is to be in like or to talk to their straight friends rather.
SPEAKER_01That's literally the next point I had.
SPEAKER_00So we're not too far. Look, great, great minds think alike. Um, so it was Lindsay, Elise, Kaylee, and Nikita, and they were all just kind of having a casual conversation of that. It's something I can relate to. Like, I love my straight friends, obviously. Um, straight people need love too. Um, however, at the same time, like there are things that it can be hard to talk about. Like, if I'm with my girls and they're all talking about these guys that they're hooking up with or guys that they want to hook up with or whatever, I would feel weird talking about like my sex life in front of them in a weird way, and I shouldn't. And nobody is, I'm not, I don't say that to say my friends have ever said or done anything to make me feel that way. It's definitely an internal thing. Um, Elise even kind of doubled down on like, yeah, I've been told like my friends know me as Elise the lesbian, and that's all he he ha ha. You can giggle about it, whatever. Like, I'm sure that it comes from like a quote unquote good place, whatever that means. Um, but the girls do reassure her, you're more than that. And I think I think that was really important.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, a hundred percent when she said that there's this little moment where I looked at Elise and I was like, I feel a little bad that I'm judging you for like Red Flag Island when I'm learning so much about you right now.
SPEAKER_00I didn't have that same feeling.
SPEAKER_01No, I yeah, that's fair. Um I'm gonna fast forward just a little bit. There's another moment in the episode where Elise is wearing a I love crying, it's like I heart crying tea. Oh, I didn't even notice that. I I caught that and I was like, okay, maybe you're not on Red Flag Island, maybe I understand you. We need to do it. Maybe I understand you. I know. I'm like, if you tell me your sign, this will help me so much. But I felt really bad because she is so much more than how she identifies and what her sexuality is.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I think it's important to if you are somebody who has friends who are in a different community than you, be it, you know, their race, their gender, their orientation, their beliefs, whatever that case might be, that shouldn't be how you know these people. Um, don't refer to somebody as the black friend or the brown friend or the lesbian friend or the trans friend or whatever that might be. Even if the intentions are good, it's not it's not great to put somebody in a bucket of and reduce them down to, you know, their the color of their skin or or who they love or ident how they identify or anything like that. So if you're listening and you have you there are friends that you have that are of different communities than you are, which I would imagine most of us have that, just be cognizant of that. It's it's not as cute as you think that it is. Um let's not talk about all this zappy shit. Let's talk about Ashley and Renee. Can we talk about the feet rubbing? Can we talk about the feet rubbing? I can't believe that they're just out here showing feet for free. I even think I made that comment aloud when I uh when I watched it. Um yeah, she's getting in there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, feet for free. I'd wear socks all day. I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_00It's like balls, I'm sure. Yeah, true. Well, that's why we wear slides and socks. Because ain't nobody's seen these little piggies. Also, Ashley made a comment. Like uh her and Renee were kind of chatting through again their hesitations, how things are going with them too. They both seem to still be vibing each other very much, but of course they're still a little hesitant on like. You know, you're not my usual type, whatever. Right. And Ashley made a comment. I'm not sure if I heard it wrong, um, or if it's what she said, but it seems like she said that Kaylee was a bit fancier. Is that what you heard also?
SPEAKER_01I don't know if I heard that. I didn't make a note on that. I feel like I probably would have made a note if it was about Kaylee in that respective. I kind of took it as Ashley and Kaylee don't have an emotional connection the way that she and Renee have an emotional connection. However, Kaylee is her type looks-wise. I think she mentioned how she goes for Kaylee or women like Kaylee because Kaylee is femme. And I'm not sure if maybe that's what she meant in that moment. But the only note that I have is that they were having a discussion about their emotional connection, which I really enjoyed because they're getting kind of deeper into what does this really mean for them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I think that's valid. I could have just misunderstood. I mean, to be fair, I am watching and typing at the same time. And sometimes their accents are like a little thick, and I'm like, I don't know exactly what they said. Like, I think I know parts of it. So I could have misheard. But yeah, I fully agree with you. I like that they're chatting through, like, hey, this is different, but I'm still open to it. Um, I also think it's really funny because while they're having these deep conversations about their potential relationship, they're also repeatedly calling each other man and like kind of dapping each other up. So I thought it was I thought it was really funny. I enjoyed it. I think that they're cute so far. I'm still very curious to see how this is going to play out over time. But thus far, like I'm kind of here for it. There's not a lot of mask for mask that we see, especially on shows like this. So listen, by all means, we love we love to see it.
SPEAKER_01I know. I really hope that they work out. If they don't, I really hope they stay friends. Oh that's a thousand percent. They have to stay in each other's yes, they have to stay in each other's lives. Their friendship is like really beautiful and they have such support for one another and their feelings, which you want that in a friendship. So hopefully it all works out. Fingers crossed. At the same time, Ashley and Renee are having their conversation on the terrace. Lindsay and Blessing are having a conversation in the Maseria bedroom. Yes. And this one was a shocker. It was a shocker, but then again, I'm kind of in a mind space of does she really know what she wants?
SPEAKER_00And by she, I mean Lindsay. I think that's a valid question. So essentially, if you need a refresher, they were chatting with each other, and Lindsay basically told Blessing, like, I don't think that there's any sexual chemistry here. I was pretty shocked by that because obviously I we're not these people. I don't know what's going on in their mind or in their bodies at in at any given moment. Um but from the outside, it did very much seem like they were into each other. I feel like they were always kissing and hands on each other. They honestly kind of for like the whole episode that we saw them together, they kind of looked like they were a couple that met on the outside in a way. So when they had this conversation, I was really shocked. And Lindsay later opened up that she sometimes when she feels like she's like being too vulnerable with people, she'll push folks away, which I think is an important thing to acknowledge. But yeah, I was really taken aback by that conversation.
SPEAKER_01I was really shocked too. I did like how Lindsay communicated it to Blessing, though. It's a real step up from how she communicated her feelings to Renee in the earlier episodes. And it's almost like, you know, that second conversation she had with Renee really helped her understand she needs to close the loop and be better at communicating how she feels and the outcome that she ultimately wants out of the conversation, which she did with blessing. Um they're you know, leaving it open, there's no sexual chemistry there, but it doesn't seem like me like they can still be friends. There's no, you know, there's no burning of bridges or anything like that, which is nice. And I really appreciated that blessing was really understanding in that moment and didn't make her feel bad or anything. So even though she's actively getting rejected, you know, it it takes a really strong person to sit there and say, Your feelings are valid, I completely understand, without getting, you know, hurt and taking that out on that person.
SPEAKER_00So I agree, I agree, and I'll say this multiple times, probably throughout the rest of this episode. But like blessing, it seems is incredibly emotionally intelligent. Um, I don't remember how old she is, but there's something there that would be a hard thing to hear. Nobody likes having hard conversations, period, especially ones like that. But I agree, she took it incredibly well, and it doesn't seem like she was like, Well, fuck it. If you are unsure, then it's just a no, which we've seen from some people who remain nameless because we'll say their name later. So yeah, I really appreciate how that conversation went. I know that you know, being vulnerable like that can be incredibly difficult. So I appreciate that Lindsay was willing to have that conversation and really willing to have it early on versus just kind of dragging it out and then, you know, a couple days later being like, Yeah, by the way, I'm not feeling this when she could have said something earlier. So I think that went swimmingly, truly.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, a hundred percent. Um we get to move on from that. All the galleys are in the like nook area outside where it's just like one big open seating area where everyone can sit together, have chit-chats, and we see hot Flavia walk in with the note. And as a reminder, Flavia is the Masseria housekeeper. She is like so fine, so fine, so fine, great Italian accent. And she gives the note that Danny has specifically to Kaylee, so Kaylee can read it, and essentially it is an invitation for the galleys to dress uh for a seductive evening. The dress code is quote, whatever your heart desires. So there's gonna be an event, they have to dress sexy, whatever you know their heart desires, but it's a seductive evening, essentially.
SPEAKER_00Well, we love it. And what could it be other than another chemistry test? I love a good chemistry test. We do, and while they're getting ready, the girls do a little catwalk, which I think is so much fun. I loved when it happened. I thought it was only gonna be like at first, I think I thought that just I think it was Kaylee's kicked it off. I don't I don't really remember, but I thought I was just gonna be the one person. Um, and then they all did it, and I was like, that is so cute. They're all hyping each other up, hyping each other up. They're pregaming, maybe not with alcohol, but with vibes.
SPEAKER_01Yes, they're pre-gaming. It is very much a thing. Yeah, and everyone was hype after that. And they walk out to Danny in another stunning attire, stunning dress, and what I thought in the last episode's preview, I what I thought was, you know, were cherries coming down from the tree actually are disco ball apples. So I was the forbidden fruit, the forbidden fruit.
SPEAKER_00The forbidden fruit, which would make sense. Let's get into the rules. Do you want to rehab the rules? I do. They're pretty short, they're pretty sweet. Um, so to your point, you see a big tree, there's little apples hanging from it, little apples that are also disco balls, which I think those are actually pretty cool. I I kind of want one. I can't write it. Right? They're cute. So essentially, each of the girls are gonna be called up, they're gonna pick an apple off of the tree, they're gonna open it, and it has a hidden temptation. Um, whatever it says, they can act on it. And they kind of choose like if they're gonna do it, if somebody else is gonna do it, whatever that might be. So it's kind of think about it as like truth or dare, but there's no option. You have to choose dare, and somebody's going to tell you who's your dare is going to be with. Right. Pretty much. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I loved it though. I love a good dare or dare.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's like you're voluntole, like, hey, you're going to do this. Sorry. Yeah, I dare you to tell the truth about this right now. The whole the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth. So help you, God, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So help you, Mother Minogue. Mother Minogue.
SPEAKER_00Oh my God. I hate you for saying that. Um, so Elise is the first one to go. She goes up, she picks her little apple right off that little tree, and her apple reads, pick one person to whisper their kink into your ear. And she chooses Ebony to come do it, which I thought was interesting. I kind of wasn't, yeah. For some reason, I thought she would choose Elise, but part of me wonders if there was a like disclaimer of this all has to be not within your couple. Um I thought she would choose Elise, but she chose Ebony. We don't know what Ebony said. Yeah. But Elise was gagged.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Elise was gagged. When she got her apple, it cuts to Alicia being like not, she does not want to be picked. And that could totally be an edit thing, but I wouldn't want to be picked either. But I did like how at the end Elise said that Imogen is very lucky, or she was like lucky Imogen, um, which kind of like made everybody laugh, you know. So lighthearted. Lighthearted, ha hee hee. After Elise, we have Kaylee, and Kayleigh pulls the apple of vanity, and it says ask three people to reveal what they think is the sexiest thing about you. And she loved this one, which That's what I would not. Yeah, I'd be like, tell me what you like about me. What's what's the sexiest thing that you like about me?
SPEAKER_00This was like the I would argue this was the easiest apple of the night. Oh, I thought anybody would have chosen this one if they if they knew like previously, but they all said I think this would have been the first one to go.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, this one was a really easy, easy one to get. The first person that she picks is Renee, and Renee says that Kaylee has beautiful peach fuzz all over her body, and that she really finds like weird or obscure things attractive about people, which I thought was like, wow, that's actually really cute to have someone be like, I think your your body fuzz, your like peach fuzz is so cute, like adorable and beautiful. I would feel like radiant, I'd feel like a fucking star. I'd be like, wow, I'm the hottest shit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I agree. I thought it was I was cackling because I was like, I've never I don't think I've ever heard anybody say that before about another person, but it is something that some people are uncomfortable about, you know, like all of our bodies are different. Some people have a little more peach fuzz than others. So who knows? Maybe I don't know. I I would I would enjoy that if somebody said that about me too. It's just like it's kind of cute. It's one of those things that you wouldn't just automatically think if she would have said eyes or smile or laugh or voice or like that, those are all great things too. Like, comment on me, tell me all the things you love about me. But that was like a really uh niche one, and I appreciate that she said it.
SPEAKER_01It was so niche. I'm like, I wonder if Kaylee's ever gotten that type of compliment before.
SPEAKER_00Probably not. I've never gotten have you ever gotten that compliment? Um I haven't.
SPEAKER_01Baby girl, I am Puerto Rican. I have no such thing as peach fuzz. I get straight black hairs that come out of my body, okay? If I don't like buzz my little mustache, I got a five o'clock mustache. It's bad.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, that's hilarious. That's hilarious. So, in short, no, Amber has never gotten that compliment.
SPEAKER_01I have never gotten that compliment, and I'm gonna go sigh and look at my girlfriend and be like, why don't you ever compliment me on my peach fuzz?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna ask mine after this and be like, why don't you ever say anything about my peach fuzz? That's kind of rude of you to not notice. My girlfriend's gonna be like, What peach fuzz?
SPEAKER_01She's gonna be like, Do you mean the mane? Truly. Um, okay, the next person that she picks is Tyra. And Tyra is a little cheeky and says, just one. Just one. Which is so cute. Just one. So cute. Just one. Which Kaylee loved. It was like so cute, flirty. But then she said, hands down, it's Kaylee's confidence, which is very true. Kaylee has this confidence that just radiates off of her, and it kind of like is like a magnet, you know, in the room. Everybody's getting attracted to this magnet, and you can feel it even through the computer screen. I'm like, wow, everybody loves Kaylee. And then the last person she picks is Almyra, which I'm kind of like interesting. Because it could have been Almira, it could have been Ebony.
SPEAKER_00But she did, yeah, yes. I kind of thought the last one was going to be Ebony in a way, but it also makes sense that it's Almyra because she did mention earlier that like she was interested in Almyra, she was interested in Ebony. So like I see where she was going with that, and it it makes sense. Um, but I if anything, I'm honestly kind of shocked that she chose Tyra. I know that that's you know her couple, so I figured that, and maybe I just did it based on like the first one. Elise went outside of her couple to choose somebody. I just kind of assumed that she would choose somebody completely different, and because that she could always ask Tyra that question later, and then Tyra could go down her list. So she gets this whole thing times like 12, probably basically.
SPEAKER_01That's totally fair. Although I there is a part of me that's like if I was in Tyra's shoes and the person that I was really interested in had the opportunity to ask three individuals this question and I wasn't one of them, I would be like, so you don't give a fuck about my opinion about you then. Okay, okay. The Aries. Maybe I am Imogen. I'm like, uh oh no, I'm on Red Flag Island. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00That's a red flag. Red fucking flag. Um, and speaking of Voldemort, I mean, I mean Imogen. Um, speaking of Imogen, sorry, I literally could not help myself. She's chosen next, and the apple that she chooses says to tell everybody to shut their eyes and go squeeze the shoulder of the person that you fancy outside of your couple. She chose Alicia. I wasn't expecting that. Were you?
SPEAKER_01I was not expecting that. And before I give my reason why, I just wanted to say Elmira's said that her smile was really attractive.
SPEAKER_00That was the one thing that Oh my bad. I thought you had said that already.
SPEAKER_01I didn't, it's okay. Uh, I talked about how I was shocked about that pick, but she did say that Elmira or Elmira said that Kaylee's smile was very attractive, which fair. But Imogen and Alicia, I was shocked about that, and I thought maybe it was like a cop-out kind of answer because they have been seen having conversations in this episode early on, but it wasn't like flirtatious conversations, it was conversations about their worries in their own couple. So I thought, like, oh, they're confiding in each other, they're really good friends. Maybe she, as an Imogen, didn't want to hurt anybody's feelings, or she wanted to keep her cards close to her chest, so she picked Alicia.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think that's a fair read. Um, and that definitely makes sense from that perspective. So maybe that was it. Maybe there really wasn't more to it other than she just doesn't really fancy anybody else that much, and she's like, fuck it, I'm just gonna choose my friend. That's a good call.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. How was your read on it though? Did you feel the same way, or were you like, uh, what?
SPEAKER_00If I'm being honest with you, I just didn't dwell on it. I was like, what? And then moved on. Like, I really didn't listen. I'm I'm having a really hard time with Imogen, which we'll get into that a little bit more later, actually, in this episode. But I'm just having a hard time with her. I I'm shocked that she chose Alicia, but I also don't know who she would have picked outside of that. So it's to me, it's honestly you know, neither here nor there. I don't think it's anything to like like I don't think she's trying to like signal anything. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Up next, it's Ebony's turn. Ebony picked the apple of honesty, and the uh apple said, reveal two people you think would be better suited. Ooh. And Ebony chooses Blessing and Nikita.
SPEAKER_00I'm a little suspicious by this. To me, it kind of felt like a throwaway answer. Right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00No. Yeah, I don't know if we've ever really seen Blessing and Nikita talking, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I haven't seen the only time I saw Blessing and Nikita talk was when Nikita was trying to get to know Blessing Elmira and Kaylee. They're just full day. And Blessing kind of shut it down with Nikita and said that she was focusing more on Lindsay and didn't really want to muddle or muddy the waters, essentially. Do we think that Blessing is just kind of interested in moving on after this whole Lindsay thing?
SPEAKER_00I think that's a good question. I don't think that she's quite moving on yet. I feel like her and Lindsay are still like kind of figuring out what's going on between the two of them. So I don't necessarily think she's like trying to explore right away. I don't know. It to me it felt like I was it was kind of out of left field for me, in my opinion. That was like a choice that I wasn't expecting. But I think the blessing probably is attracted to Nikita. Nikita's really cute. Yeah, I could see, I could like, yeah, I don't really want to know what to say other than that. It just felt like a weird throwaway answer to me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we haven't seen them interact at all, so it's kind of hard to say that they're probably better suited if there hasn't been much interaction, at least for the audience perspective. I have no idea if they're like having conversations in the masquerad.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I 100% agree. Should we move on to Almira? Yes, yeah. So Almira goes up. Her prompt is to reveal which couple she thinks chemistry is fizzling. Oof. I didn't really like this one as much. Um, she chose Ashley and Renee, um, which Renee promptly shut down, which I love. I love Renee. The more I see her, the more I love her. But I thought that was really, I thought that was interesting. I feel like she probably said that just because those two ended up together kind of on like a whim.
SPEAKER_01It feels like it's just a cop-out and that it's easy. I did like the the mic drop that Renee said, which was Ashley and I have stayed in bed together, and some couples haven't even done that yet.
SPEAKER_00I was like, period, shut it down. Facts. I really, I really am enjoying Renee. I feel like she always has something to say, which is why I enjoy her. Hey, if you stay ready, ain't gotta get ready. And that's part of why I really enjoy her. Me too. If she leaves, I'm done. I'm boycotting. No, you won't. We got more episodes to record. You'll be right back here next week. Don't even worry about it.
SPEAKER_01Next, it's Nikita, but they don't show it, it has like a little bit of montage. Yes, it's like bam, bam, bam. We don't know what the apples are, and then it lands on Renee. And Renee picks her apple, and the apple is apple of power. The apple says, pick two people who aren't in a couple to kiss. And I love them. Dun, dun, dun. Make them kiss, make your Barbie mess and your Ken's and your whatever your Bradstalls, make them all kiss. She picks Lindsay and Elmira, which I didn't know that that was a pairing that could have been a thing.
SPEAKER_00I didn't see that coming at all. I I think that I didn't see it coming, especially because like her and Lindsay were a thing, but I guess it's kind of a way to signal there's no like bad blood between them. Yeah, yeah. Right? Like, I don't know. I I was also very taken aback, and I do love that Danny also made them like stand in front of the class, right? Show and tell time. Yes, because everybody else just like from what we saw, everybody else like stayed in the line, except for Ebony coming up to kind of whisper to Elise. So I thought it was funny that they literally like just come up front, do it, yeah, in front of Ebony.
SPEAKER_01Everybody, watch this kiss. Yeah, like figure out is there chemistry there? And it looked like an okay kiss. I was like, oh, but then again, Lindsay, I feel like Lindsay is such a passionate kisser that anybody that she kisses, it kind of looks good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think she's I think she's the secret sauce when it comes to that. I think that she totally. Yeah, she seems like a fantastic kisser. And unfortunately, blessing looked like so uncomfortable.
SPEAKER_01I know because it was fr like their their kind of conversation that they had where Lindsay was like, uh, we're better off as just being friends, right after the kiss-off. So this high and low and high and low that blessing is going on, uh not inten like it wasn't voluntary. She didn't want to be on this high and low kind of whiplash feeling, but to go from the kiss-off, she's on a high, she's so happy she got her girl, she's got her woman, to the next day, immediately mourning on a low.
SPEAKER_00Her woman's not her woman. Yeah, from the jump. From the jump. From the jump. And Lindsay even said that she thought the kiss with Almira was tasty. Um I love that for Lindsay, and I love that for Almira. I think that's great. Um, but I really hated that blessing had to hear it. Although, again, I say she's seems to be incredibly emotionally mature. Um, she took it like a champ. She didn't get salty about it or anything like that. So I applaud again, I applaud her and the fact that she's taking this completely whirlwind upside down day that she's had and uh, you know, kind of making the most of it.
SPEAKER_01The only thing I would say about that is like Blessing did make one comment where she did say, I'm happy for Lindsay. I know that she has said that she wants someone taller. And that, if you look at Lindsay's face after Blessing said that, she was kind of like, What the fuck? Like, why would you even bring that up? Why would you even say that? Was kind of the face that Lindsay made. And that was just like, ah, here we go again. After this, the next episode, I guarantee, Lindsay's gonna be upset with Blessing. She's gonna say some something mean or something hurtful, or it's gonna be blessing in her having some sort of disagreement. And I'm like, oh my god, my girl blessing has just had the worst 24 hours. Like, please give her a break.
SPEAKER_00No, literally. Because it also, like, to me, it also was like a passing comment. It wasn't, I didn't think that it was meant to be like a dig or a read or anything more than just like a passing comment.
SPEAKER_01This is what she's told me. Yeah, it's like this is what Lindsay has said or expressed. This is I I blessing is like I know I'm not that tall. She's digging it on the chin. She's like, I know I'm not that tall. Almira's tall as fuck in a good way, you know. And that's okay. It's okay. So they match each other's heights. Like it seems like it works for the kiss. And like if Lindsay didn't like the kiss with blessing because maybe she's a little bit too short for her, that's fine. Whatever. But I was just like thinking, okay, I'm making a mental note that this could be a situation or a problem once they get back to the mascarilla.
SPEAKER_00It could be. I, you know, if I'm being honest with you though, I don't understand why people give so much of a shit about how tall somebody is. Like, I don't even understand that. Like, here's my thing. I my partner is shorter than me. I like that she's a little shorter than me. I also really like tall girls too. Like, take me to a New York Liberty game and I'm over here like ah, it's like it's like Christmas for me. Like all these women like six feet and above, you know what I mean? Like, yeah, I I just don't know why people care so much. I I I can kind of see it with women who date men. You know, if you're going out to somewhere nice and you're wearing heels and he's like two feet shorter than you and you're in heels, like I get it to a degree, but I'm also like, why do folks because here's the thing I feel like when you're dating, the pool of good, viable people to have a relationship is already pretty small. Because people fucking suck, okay? Yeah, so it's already pretty small. So then you're gonna take that already small pool and cut it even shorter because you feel some type of way that somebody isn't a certain height. And I'm not saying that Lindsay is like being like super like this is her most important thing. That's not my read on it. I just say all that to say I don't understand why people give so much of a shit about how tall somebody is. Yeah, I totally agree.
SPEAKER_01I really don't know either, but I mean, people have insecurities, and that's fair. I have my own insecurities, everybody has their own insecurities about something, so just sucks that like blessing felt that way and had to make a comment about it, and then the reaction that Lindsay gave in the background. I I wasn't happy about that, and I'm I'm interested to see how that kind of shakes out. Um, but the last apple is the best apple. Danny said the temptation one, yes. The temptation one, the crunchy one, the crispy one. And Lindsay begs to open this apple. Good for her. Get your moment, have it, yeah. Get your moment, girl. So she gets to the crispy apple, and it says that a new gal is set to enter the villa. A new person is entering the masseria, which is so exciting. Uh, we welcome Pippa.
SPEAKER_00Welcome, Pippa. We're happy to have you. Um, Pippa Pippa walks in, describes themselves as um a golden retriever who likes to cuddle, also likes being a little cheeky on a nine out. And they said that they like to ruffle some feathers. Um I also I know we'll probably get into this later, but I do want to go ahead and call it out now. Like, if you notice, we're using day for Pippa, and that is because Pippa is non-binary. And I think it's really amazing that they were chosen for this and that they made it onto the show because I feel like a lot of times when you have like lesbian dating shows or gay dating shows or whatever, I feel like it's often you don't you often only really see cisgender people. You don't often see somebody who is non-binary, and you really don't see a lot of people who are trans. So for me, I was really happy that they brought them on and that we're gonna, you know, get some time with them. I'm really, I'm really curious to see what this will look like.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'm actually really happy too that after Pippa came in and uh the rest of the masseria got to go have a conversation and a sit-down, that one of the galleys asked Pippa what their pronouns were, which we haven't really heard that happening at all. Um, and we are just having to make uh assumptions ultimately that if it hasn't been called out, then the rest of the maceria identifies as she her, because that's how everybody is talking about each other in their talking heads. Uh, but this is like a real standout moment where Pippa gets to tell everyone, you know, thank you for asking, I go by they them. But Pippa also says that if someone makes a mistake, that it's okay, that as long as the effort is put in there and that you're trying, that that's all that they're really happy about. Um and I love that, like giving people grace, especially in in cases where maybe you know someone has never been around uh someone who is non-binary, someone who may go by different pronouns as she, her, or he, him. So I I really I loved that conversation and how that happened. Um I also wanted to call out that when Pippa walked in, I literally was like, this is like my girlfriend. This is my girlfriend to a date. I knew you knew that I was gonna say that, but I was like the slick back bun, all black attire, silver jewelry. Sorry, Pippa is the my girlfriend, but British.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, I thought that too. I thought that too. And also, I don't know if you I don't know if you caught this. Um, I almost forgot to bring it up. But as they were walking, they being Pippa, as they were walking into the masquerad, Imogen was kind of over there, like, I see a slick back button, I see a blonde slick back button, I see a blonde slick back button. I think she said it like multiple times, and she's like, that's gonna be my type, that's gonna be my type, that's gonna be my type. So I got annoyed with Imogen right away, um, naturally. And of course, after we meet Pippa, they all kind of like walk back, I think, to like the fire pit area, just like chat with the new person, see what's good, see if there's any chemistry. And Emogene wastes no time to flirt with Pippa. Ebony is of course right there holding her hand, and then in a talking head, Imogen kind of mentions like Ebony's all over me like a rash.
SPEAKER_01What did you think about that? What did you think? Okay, I did catch that during the game, Imogen and Ebony were really close together, and Imogen had expressed to Ebony in uh earlier conversation that she is a physical touch person, and so she really wants more of that from Ebony, right? Cut to Pippa comes in, and all of the maseria is walking back to the fire pit area. Ebony and Imogen are holding hands, Imogen's walking side by side with Pippa, and for me, I was like, okay, I don't know if I've like noticed that Ebony and Imogen have held hands walking back from a challenge before. I feel like I've seen like Ebony shooting the shit with other people, having a ha ha ha hee hee moment. So to notice that I was like, okay, interesting. And I think Imogen got exactly what she wished for in the previous conversation that she had with Alicia of, oh, I just want someone who's a mask that's my type to a T to come in and kind of give Ebony a taste of her own medicine. That's exactly what happened. The producers really ate with that one. They had Pippa waiting in the wing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, literally. Part of me is like, I wonder if because I'm I'm assuming that all these people who are gonna be, you know, entering the masquerad are somewhere off obviously off the premises. Yeah. Um they can bring him in pretty easily. But I wonder how often they change the order of how they bring people in, or how often, because I would imagine there's also like reserves, like people who maybe aren't set to come into the show, but will if somebody gets like sick or or something like that happens. Something happens. Um, so I am kind of curious like how much of that was them kind of like like pulling the strings. Cause I think it's interesting that Imogen literally said in that episode something about around like, I want people to come, I want somebody to come in here who fancies me, and then all of a sudden, surprise, surprise, and walks her exact type.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Your wish, baby girl, is the producer's command. We got it, uh, which I loved. They're at the fireplace, conversation is flowing. After we learn Pippa's pronouns and that they are non-binary, some people leave, like Ebony leaves and is like talking to other people. But we literally have Imogen and Pippa sitting side by side, and they're gonna have a conversation. But before they have a conversation, before like before that happens, Elise asks Pippa, who do you fancy? Who's your type? Burning question. Everybody wants to know. Everybody has to know, everybody has to know, and Pippa just says you four, meaning Lindsay, Alicia, Kaylee, and I'm blanking, I think it was Nikita who was sitting there.
SPEAKER_00I thought I saw Tyra. I think Tyra Tyra and Alicia. I couldn't remember the fourth.
SPEAKER_01I think it was Kaylee. Kaylee was the fourth. Um, because Alicia was sitting right by Elise, and then it kind of she like was next to uh Lindsay or Tyra, and then yeah, so it was like uh four four people, and then at the end of the four people, Elise. And Pippo was kind of like from here, there. Yeah, you four are kind of my type. And we cut to Elise and Alicia having a conversation in the Maseria kitchen.
SPEAKER_00Of course, of course they were.
SPEAKER_01Having a little bit of a it was so awkward at the start of it because Elise says to Alicia, I know Pippa's just come in and I love Yuda bits, and Alicia is like, no, don't say that. I hate that. And so Elise has to kind of like swallow her words back and spit out I like Yeta Bits instead. I love you to bits was a crazy thing to say. It was such a crazy thing to say. I'm sorry, no, her saying I love you episode two was crazy to say.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Like this isn't her first time, this is not her first offense. I thought that was so strange. It is like she's clearly so jealous, so exactly jealous.
SPEAKER_01And Alicia points that out. Alicia's like, I don't like jealousy at all. It's very unattractive to me, and it shows me that you don't trust me, which snaps for Alicia because you know what? She has her doubts about Alice and Alice being red flag and you know being a messy mask, but Alicia is very quick to be like, I'm putting you in your place. I don't agree with this. This is my boundary. If you can't respect it, we're gonna move on from it. Which I, you know, she's setting the groundwork. And Elise is like on her hands and knees, like, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00She looked like she was about to have an aneurysm, though. Like at one point, she was just kind of like staring. Like this girl looked like she was wanted to just like crawl into a hole. Um, which, you know, fair. Nobody likes being called out when they're acting a little, you know, toxic or inappropriate. Um, but I really appreciate that Elise, Alicia, these names are gonna kill me. I know. Um, I really, really love that not only did she set her boundaries, but she did also reassure Elise like, hey, if I'm with you, I like you. Don't do this jealous, childish bullshit. If I'm here with you, I like you. Take that for what it is. So I appreciate that there was like a reassuring element as well. But yeah, Elise, she gotta get her shit together, dude. Like, this is now the second time she's blurted out like love to Alicia. Um and she's been called out for love bombing a couple times already. And then, of course, when she's jealous, that's the first thing that she wants to say. Um, but I do think that, like, you know, all things considered, I do think that the conversation went well. Like, it seemed like there wasn't really a lot of conflict to your I liked your analogy about how Elise had to just kind of like take everything that she said back in, um, which is true. Like, and I feel like that's exactly what we watched happen, but I am happy that it didn't escalate. I'm really, really, really curious to see if they will have a very similar conversation again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I feel like Alicia is gonna have to kind of like keep reiterating to Elise, like, hey, this is my boundary, this is my boundary. Yeah. Like, you don't love me because you barely know me. Yeah, which is so true. People are so quick sometimes to throw out I love you without fully knowing the ins and outs of the person. And I have listen, I have been one to throw out and I love you extremely early. I've been one to receive and I love you extremely early. That's I listen, I've done every lesbian offense under the sun. Okay, I'm a you-hauler. You said you hauling is bad. I am a you-hauler, I'm so sorry. Same, but I really appreciated like Alicia's pretty young too, right? Like, she's like 22, I think. Yeah, she's younger, yeah. 22 or 24. Um, which I still think is pretty young. Yeah, yeah. Pretty young though. And and to know that you're not comfortable with something, to stand your ground, to you know, make someone else feel uncomfortable for the sake of your boundaries, sometimes it's really hard. You just want to be agreeable, you want to be likable. Alicia's not doing that. She said, Cut the cap, cut the crap, cut the cameras. Like, I'm gonna walk away if you keep doing this. I appreciate it. I love it. Same from there, it moves to Pippa and Imogen having a flirtatious conversation. And I know you don't like talking about Imogen, but what did you think about that conversation?
SPEAKER_00I I thought it was fine. Like, I think it was weird that Imogen just like walk like the way that she approached the conversation was kind of awkward, and I felt like she really just kind of wanted to shit talk Ebony a little bit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, I think that she's jealous of Ebony and Ebony's connection, but that's neither here nor there. She also like kind of spilled the beans about like Ebony is not really like touchy, but she is when you walked in. Um, I don't know. I just I don't I don't know. There was definitely some chemistry with Ebony and or with Emogene and with uh with Pippa, but I didn't like how that conversation went by and large.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I can agree with you that I don't think it is good to spill the beans on whatever disagreements or conflicts that you're having in your your couple. I take this in real life situations also, and I talked to my girlfriend about this where one of the things that is like a pet peeve for me is if we're in a social event and maybe I say something you don't agree with, or we're in a disagreement outside of this, like don't just like bring up whatever we're disagreeing about in that social setting, or if you disagree with me in the moment, but like other people are ganging up on me, you know, let's for the sake of the situation. You need to be in my corner, you need to agree with me and support me in that moment, and then when we're home, you have the conversation of like, hey babe, I just want to say like I supported you in that moment, but let's have a conversation because I really actually didn't support you and what you were saying, but I wanted to be there for you. So when Imogen did that, I was kind of like, Oh, party foul, that is such a party foul. Because now Pippa knows, okay, Imogen and Ebony are on the rocks, I could swoop in if I want to. Yeah, no big deal. And Pippa even said, you know, I didn't even think that you guys were on rocky terms, like you guys look really good, and you were holding hands, sitting in the corner of the couch together. And Imogen's response was like, Oh, you didn't pick me as one of the four girls that you were into. And Pippa's like, You you were with your missus. What are you talking about? You guys were like locked in, you guys were tight like a booty hole over there. Like, I'm not gonna swoop, I mean, immediately swoop in and and steal you away, but I agree that like it just didn't seem like a good conversation overall. I guess. I would agree. Yeah, I did like how Pippa was like hand like reassuring and touching Imogen's shoulder or like being kind of flirtatious in ways of physical touch, which was interesting because that was one of the things that Ebony was having a problem with with Imogen because Ebony wasn't giving enough physical touch, and here you have Pippa immediately giving physical touch, yeah, respectfully, but that is still being read as like physical, and that's what Imogen wanted. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Alrighty, so now we have blessing, Renee, and Almira all having a chat. I like that they're having a chat. I'm I think it's a great idea for them. I think there's some things to talk about, and mostly it's so Renee can check in. Um, she wants to chat with blessings, see how things are going. She said right off the job, like, I don't have anything against I don't hold anything against you to Almira for kissing Lindsay, which I think was really great. And yeah, what what were your thoughts on on that conversation?
SPEAKER_01I actually really enjoyed it. I think this is gonna be a really beautiful friendship that they have. And I think one of the things that Blessing brought up was that she holds nothing against Renee, she holds nothing against Lindsay, but the one thing that she is not happy with Lindsay about is that she feels like Lindsay contradicts herself because she'll say one thing and then do another. And that is something that we saw with Lindsay and Renee and that whole situation. So it is rather interesting that it's happening all over again, and I'm really interested to see if in the next episode Blessing and Lindsay have a conversation where Blessing can say her piece and how Lindsay's gonna take that, because I don't think Lindsay's gonna take that well. Love her to pieces, but from that we we go to um Imogen and Ebony on the terrace. I I didn't even write notes on this, if I'm being honest. The page is blank. I wrote no notes on this. I went into that thinking, okay, maybe they can have a decent conversation.
SPEAKER_00Why would you ever think that?
SPEAKER_01I was thinking that maybe Ebony would be level-headed because they've had these like really intimate conversations, so maybe she can kind of like keep Imogen calm, but holy fuck was I wrong.
SPEAKER_00I was fucking wrong. No, there's no pouring a cup of water on a wildfire, like that's not gonna happen. For those who don't remember as much, essentially, while Imogen was chatting with Pippa, Ebony was like, Hey, can I pull you for a chat? Imogen went in hot immediately. Like you could tell that she was kind of ready to have like a little argument about it. Um, she did call out Ebony for not being as affectionate, and then Ebony was like, I have been, but and now when I am doing it, but not I guess not as much as you want. And then now that I am doing it, you're telling me to stop because you're trying to, you know, like get with somebody else. Right. Um she also calls out that when Ebony had mentioned that she was kind of interested in Kaylee, Emogen was like, Well, we're not don't stop flirting with me and stop doing this with me if you're gonna want to talk to somebody else. So Ebony was like, I'm kind of just moving how you are telling me that I should, yeah. So so yeah, it wasn't cute. It ended up Imogen, I felt like was yelling at Ebony, not like screaming, but she was definitely raising her voice, and then she got up to stomp away and then come back and be like, Don't raise your voice at me. And I was like, Ebony didn't raise her voice, I didn't think. And then she stomps away again, like just walks away, like no conclusion to that conversation. She just left.
SPEAKER_01No, you're totally right. She came in hot and heavy. We did learn that Imogene is a Leo. Yes, we learned that when Imogen has a conversation with Pippa, and we learned that Pippa is an Aries, we learned that Imogen is a Leo, two fire signs. Let me tell you, baby girl, two fire signs together are not good, first of all.
SPEAKER_00I yeah, I'm I'm I feel like it's out of the frying pan and into the fire between you know Imogen and Ebony and now Imogen and uh and Pippa.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it doesn't feel like it's gonna get better. No, Imogen has that fire ready to go, gives it completely to Ebony. I did to your point, I do like how Ebony was not letting her walk all over her. She was like, You're not gonna make me look like the fucking bad guy when I'm doing everything you asked me to do. But again, you want to flip the script because you're interested in another person. You want to make yourself feel better for being interested in this person and make it seem like, oh, because I was interested in Kaylee first. Mind you, Ebony and Kaylee still haven't even had a conversation yet, a one on one yet. At all.
SPEAKER_00At all.
SPEAKER_01So Imogen is. If anything is in the fucking wrong first, because she's already had her one-on-one conversation with Pippa and already has been flirting with Pippa.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. I listen, I I've had it with Imogen. I want her gone. I want her out of my mascaria. And it's really funny too because she is so fucking tight about this whole situation that she stumps. Like, I'm talking like lead foot, like stumps back to the fire pit, and the girls are like, uh, what's going on? Nothing. And then she sits there, like and just like seethes into the camera. Like she looks like she's about to go into battle. And then that's it. Yeah, her heart's like racing. You can see her. Heavy. It's like see her veins like pulsing with all of the blood that is currently pumping through her body. Like that bitch is ready to fight. And it kind of makes me wonder like how the next episode is gonna open up. Like, I'm kind of curious if it's gonna be like the next day and they're all kind of waking up, or if it's gonna like open up with Imogen exploding.
SPEAKER_01Um because she looked really upset when it was so pissed off, and I kind of love how they're leaving these episodes open-ended because it just picks up in whatever mess has been left, and it's so exciting. I did watch the preview, it was not so much a preview for just the next episode, it was the preview for everything to come on the series. So I don't know if we really want to touch on that because we don't necessarily know what's for the next episode versus what's for you know three episodes from now.
SPEAKER_00I think the only thing that I feel confident in saying is that there will be a BDSM party. Yes. Probably in the next episode. That's yes, that may be the kiss-off, maybe the kiss-off. Um, but definitely the BDSM party is going to happen. I was very confused by this preview as well because it saw it seemed like it was gonna be for the next episode, and then all of a sudden they were showing the finale, and I was like, Yeah. Um but I think that's because they released this in halves. So we got like the first four episodes and then we get the rest. So I think that's why they did like a super cut into here's everything that's gonna happen on iCuster Girl this season. Um, but yeah, I think that what we can expect is a BDSM party.
SPEAKER_01And maybe maybe, maybe another kiss off. Yeah, there has to be another kiss off. Um, I'm really excited about watching episode five and seeing where it picks up. I feel like Ebony, Imogen, bridge burned. Like they're done. I don't think Ebony is not gonna tolerate disrespect like that.
SPEAKER_00They have to be. I I feel like that was a huge blow-up. Like I said, I'm really curious to see if they're gonna open up with like the fallout of that or if it's just over. Like who knows? Maybe that's maybe that's where it ended. Uh, maybe Imogen comes back, sits their seeds for however long she needs to, and then it ends. But I'm really curious if this is gonna become a bigger thing. I think it kind of will be, to be honest with you.
SPEAKER_01I think so too. I think it's gonna be a bigger blowout, and I really hope it is a bigger blowout. However, I also really hope that like they can get over it and just move past it and not, you know, have it be an awkward thing between the two of them. But honestly, after Imogen's conversation with Pippa, I'm kind of like, Ebony deserves to move however the fuck she wants to move. Yep. Just be respectful of my girl Tyra. That's it. Be respectful of Tyra. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Be respectful, period. Yeah.
