In this episode I make the case for the multi-passionate life as an abundance strategy, not a distraction. I walk through everything I currently have going on (two salons, a product line, an education company, automations, and more) and explain why I never think twice about it. I also share the moment someone I trusted told me to give up the business I'd spent 14 years building — and what happened when I listened to my gut instead of their advice.

You do not have to pick one thing. There is nothing wrong with being multi-passionate. I consider that an abundance strategy. Here's a little bit of what I can even think of that I currently do right now. And that is I own and operate two salons in two cities that are 400 miles apart. Each salon has at least eight booth renters. I have three hourly admins on staff. I run a product line of supplies that we distribute nationwide to professional lash artists. I have an education company where I train and certify lash artists on how to do lashes properly. I train trainers who train. Aside from all that, I'm a tech geek. I lead a lot of our technology in the back end, automations, website building, marketing strategy, analytics. I love all of it. And I never think twice about it because I do what keeps me in flow, in gratitude, in joy, in creativity. I think this is one of my superpowers is that I have so much to do that I can never actually be sad or unfulfilled. I don't spend time overthinking. I don't have time to overthink. In fact, that is sometimes my harsh view. When somebody is constantly overthinking and wasting their time, my response is you have too much time on your hands. Get a hobby, start a business, do something that makes you happy because there are too many things, there are too many options of things that you could be doing right now. And I just wanted to take a moment to reinforce the permission to myself and give you permission as well to do whatever you want to do. And, you know, one thing that I don't necessarily agree with is having a job just for money. I think that when you do what you love or you find a way to connect with whatever you're offering, the monetary result is just a byproduct. The joy, just being in a tapped into a higher vibration, I do think attracts wealth, doors open that you didn't expect because you weren't expecting for them and you weren't looking for them. And we all know that what you chase runs away. There's been times in my life where I've had people tell me that I should consider decreasing the amount of responsibilities that I have. I think ultimately that needs to be a personal decision. And listening to those gut intuitions, I think is important. I don't think you should spray everything at the wall just to see what works either. Not every idea is a good one, but if it's good enough to feel into a positive stream, then go for it and unapologetically. And don't be afraid to fail. Those are badges of honor sometimes. There's the only bad idea is ignoring your intuition. One more personal experience. I remember, and this is why you should be selective about who you choose to be in a relationship with, not just romantically, but even platonically, who are the people in your life that are giving you advice. I was in a romantic relationship with somebody who was very adamant about giving his two cents on how I should run my business. And he had a business. He was also a business owner, and the things that he did work for him. But I remember him looking at my business. I was going through a rough patch. So in 2019, I'd converted my salons from employee-based to rental-based, which was a huge upgrade energetically and a huge downgrade financially. His suggestion was that I give my business up. That even though that was a pivot point and it was the best point of my business history, and there was a rough spot or a challenge spot or a moment for growth, his suggestion was to get rid of my business to go in another direction. And I almost considered it. I was, I was gonna let this salon go, this salon that I've been here for 14 years, and there is just love dripping out of the walls here. I was gonna let this go and I was gonna go rent a little room for just me in a hole in the wall down the street so that I had less overhead. And I knew in my heart, like I was looking at spaces, I was touring them, and I was like, oh my gosh, like I can't do that. I can't. I wasn't right. I knew. I knew what I had here is a special monumental piece of my life and so many others. And I followed my intuition. So all that to say is really you should never let someone tell you anything, especially if you're not in alignment. So I invite every person to explore every passion unapologetically.
