Come home. My child, come home. There comes a moment in every soul's journey when the good Lord gently whispers, Come home. And even before you know how to return, the good shepherd is already searching for you. Our beloved Jesus, the Christ, once told the story of a shepherd who had 100 sheep. When one wandered away, he did not forget it. He did not say, You chose that path. He did not close the gate. He left the 99 in safety and went searching for that one. Because that one mattered, that one was precious, that one was loved and beloved. That one may be you. Perhaps you have searched for peace in all the wrong places. Maybe you have prayed and wondered why your answers seem so far away. Possibly you have placed your hope in people, possession, success, approval, or the promises of this world. Only to discover that none of them could satisfy the deep hunger of your soul. For there is none good but the Father. Only the good Lord can fill the place in you that was created for him. Today, you are not being called to fear, you are being called home. The good Lord is gently whispering, return unto me. All ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. If your heart is weary, come home. If your soul is burdened, come home. If you have a long day home. This is not only a promise to a nation, it is first a promise to your own heart. The healing of the world begins with the healing of your own heart. The good Lord is always answering your prayers. His love never ceases, his mercy never fails, his voice never grows silent. But when your heart becomes crowded with the endless distractions of this world: anger, unforgiveness, hatred, spiritual ears begin to clap. His answer has already come to you, but you cannot hear it. But you cannot see it. Repentance does not change God. Repentance changes you, it opens your heart to receive what the good Lord has been pouring out all along. Perhaps today, the good Lord is asking you to lay something down. The good Lord is not asking you to carry shame, He is inviting you to experience freedom. Repentance is God's loving invitation to bring you home. The shepherd is calling your name, He has never stopped searching, He has never stopped loving, He has simply been waiting for you to come home. Will you answer? Come home, Heavenly Father, Heavenly Father, we hear your voice calling us home. Come into our lives as never before. Come into our hearts, come into our minds, come into our bodies, come into our spirits, help us to let go of anything that keeps us from you and from your love. Give us the strength we need in these difficult days. Give us courage to turn away from what has bound us. Give us wisdom to choose what brings life. Give us clean hearts, willing spirits, and listening ears, Lord. We know you love us, we know you care for us. We know you have never stopped searching for us. Help us to receive your love, help us to walk in your light, help us to return to you with our whole heart through the name and nature of Jesus Christ. Cleanse us, restore us, fill us with your Holy Spirit. Come home, come home, my child.
