That brings the company's total available buyback capacity to approximately two point two two three billion dollars, including seven hundred twenty three million remaining from its prior program. Moving to lawsuits and AI. Universal Music Group and Liquidax's joint venture, Music IP Holdings, unveiled a portfolio of more than two dozen patents for generative AI on August 20th. They're licensing them to AI music platforms UDO and GRI, the first adopters. The patents cover remixes, covers, watermarking, and how to monetize AI generated content. Meanwhile, a U.S. district judge ruled on August 18th that Indy sisters Laura and Linda Good, performing as the Twigs, forfeited their right to sue FKA Twigs for trademark infringement by waiting over a decade.
