In this episode of Awakening Conversations, Natalie speaks with Guy Lawrence, retreat facilitator, speaker, founder of Live in Flow, and host of the podcast Let It In with Guy Lawrence.
Guy shares his powerful spiritual awakening journey, from growing up in Wales and feeling a deep inner restlessness, to ayahuasca, kundalini awakening, mystical experiences, out-of-body awareness, and the gradual collapse of old identities.
Together, Natalie and Guy explore what it means to awaken through the body, how trauma and stored energy can begin to release, and why grounding, safety, surrender, and conscious support are so important during times of intense spiritual growth.
They also speak about ascension symptoms, nervous system changes, retreats, heart-centered living, and the joy of being human.
This conversation is for anyone moving through spiritual awakening, kundalini activation, identity shifts, physical symptoms, or a deeper call to live from the heart.
Namaste, beautiful souls. Today I'm really excited because I've wanted to speak to Guy for I feel like the last year, I've been feeling the energy of oh, I'd love to have a conversation with Guy. Because Guy is a retreat facilitator, speaker. Um, he's got his own really well-known podcast. You might know about it. It's called Let It In. And Guy, you're just full of wonderful energy. So I'm so happy that you're here. Welcome.
SPEAKER_02Thank you very much. Thank you very much. And uh it's an honor to be here. And like I said, it's nice to be on the other side of the mic. So I'm I'm keen to see what comes out of this conversation today, for sure.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I feel like let's begin with you to get to know you a bit more. And I'd love to know like, how did you awaken and like what cracked open, what shifted and changed, how did it all come about?
SPEAKER_02That that's a big question, isn't it? And uh wow, how did I awaken? It and I I feel like I'm still awakening. It's it's it's a forever journey, honestly. And I I really had to I really had to be squeezed in a big way. I mean, I grew up in the valleys of Wales, and I I think I came in on reflection feeling a little bit isolated and not fitting in in some ways, even though you you I don't know if you've ever been to Wales, especially the the valleys of Wales. It's um you know, it's a it's a beautiful, lush place, but the energy is quite harsh, it's hard, it's it's a working class environment, and you know, it's it's all about rugby is the religion and uh the alcohol culture, drinking beer, it rains all the time, you know, it's it's it's completely different universe to where I'm living now in on the the golden beaches of Australia. Let's just say that much. But I think there was a there was a there was like a presence and a pressure for me to really start to search for myself at a young age. And that was getting exponential. And by the time I was 20 years old, I actually just left Wales. I kind of left my rugby, I left my my girlfriend who wanted to to uh get get engaged at the time. It was like a big clean sweep in in one week. Um, my apprenticeship, my job, I I just finished becoming a plumber, and you know, I was in a recession, so jobs were really hard to come by. So from the outside world, none of it made sense to anyone what I was really doing, but it didn't make sense to me either. But it was, I guess, my declaration to myself. What I've realized, there's been when I reflect, there's been multiple choice points along the way that I think go beyond logic. And if we follow our heart and soul, like there's a deeper, higher self-guidance. If we if we listen to that, then things evolve for us and we we grow. And and of course, if we suppress that, that's when uh things can start to go sideways sideways and the wheels start falling off, kind of thing. So I think that was my first declaration to the larger aspect of myself, the universe, whatever it is that I'm really wanting more. Um, but I I searched outside myself for a long time. I I was traveling, I was exploring, and and I I had this feeling inside. I always liken it to it was like having a splinter in my soul, and I couldn't get to it, I couldn't pull it out, I had no idea what was going on. If people asked me, I couldn't articulate it, you know, and it was just it was just painful. And over a 10-year period, through my 20s into my early 30s, it was getting to breaking point, I think. Like it was getting to the point because I still couldn't settle into anything. I used to look upon how can people feel so settled in their lives and be happy with the what they're doing and go where in me, it was just this uneasiness constantly, constantly. So on reflection, all this was an awakening, but it was very, very slow. And I kept button, uh button up against myself. And then I started leaning into Tony Robbins. I remember that I went through a a stage in the early 2000s where but I started reading Conversations of God. Uh, I remember reading um The Power of Now as well. There's some Deepak Chopra books I was reading at the time, Wayne Dyer. And they they all started making sense to me. And I started, I guess, flirting with that. And I even remember one night um laying in bed and almost feeling like I was about to go out of body, and and I freaked myself out. And I was like, what the hell is what what what is that? And never really spoke to it or or about it and and left that alone. And then about I think it was a year after my dad passed, so that was 2012, 2013. I decided to do a shamanic journey with ayahuasca. And I I made the decision because I actually, as a kid, I'd done I had a lot of trauma, and now again on reflection, hindsight's wonderful, isn't it? When we look back, but but I as a kid I I was hanging up with all the kids and I took a load because magic mushrooms mushrooms grow like poppies in the valleys of wheels, and all these older kids had gone and collected a load, and I can't remember how old I was. I must have been 14, 15, and and I took a load of these things, and I think as well, that opened something up in me that night, but it freaked me out so much. I I had no idea what I was doing, I was clearly in the wrong environment. I lived in a very heavy council estate, which was, you know, um financially struggling. It was just rough, basically. And I hid in an abandoned house in a cellar, and I navigated this mushroom trip for about four hours in this very dark space and somehow found my way through. And I vowed never to touch anything like that again, any kind of substance, which I didn't. And the reason why I'm sharing this with you is because when I was starting to understand more about trauma, the body, and and we sort of hold that's shaping our reality and our perception of life. Then this shamanic journey, I realized I was being called to it, that I had to face my own fear because I was about to take the most powerful psychedelic in the world. And the only reference point I had was that childhood traumatic experience that I had with it. So it was it was a for me, it was it was a huge, huge decision to do and a really big deal. And I and and I went and did it, and I got to the point where my body was was convulsing in fear, then it was beyond my mind, I couldn't control it before I even drank the ayahuasca. So it it was like again another decision where my my soul self was guiding me into my next expansion, and this was something that clearly had to be worked through to allow me to continue to expand, if that makes sense. So I ended up going, drinking the ayahuasca, uh the cup, and and I thought, geez, I'm I'm here, I've I'm I'm in now, there's no turning back. And when I laid down, it it was like I was prepared to accept my own death. I I it I was and I just fully surrendered. It was my first moment in my entire life where all the wriggling, the resistance, and everything else, but it was all through choice as well. Like I kind of just kept leaning in as opposed to running away from what was wanting to present itself. And Natalie, that night was profound, it was so profound, and it was like the medicine honored what I had brought to the table because it it it sense, it feels, it knows, and and it guided me on a journey through the universe and it showed me how we like through sacred geometry. I mean, I can't even put into words, it was I mean it was 15 years ago now, but it was profound or almost 15 years ago. But and I came out of that and I thought, wow, if that's that happened, and I could just feel the shift in my body that night, something had completely moved again. So then, of course, my curious nature was like, is there more? What and and I've never done any kind of substance since either. I've never felt a needed to. For me, it was it was the it was to the driving factor was actually the trauma, not the the the substance, if that makes sense, but it it's just they coexisted. Not that I'm against these things, but just for me personally, and that was it. And then I I wanted to because then I had a reference point of what's possible. It was like, well, is that ass, or was that the psychedelic? Was that what's going on here? So then I started leaning into the exploration more and more. But now that I had a reference point, I kind of knew I had a better idea of what I could start looking for in terms of these things. So I started exploring uh deeper states of uh breathing practices, meditation, uh, sound became a big part of it. I mean, I even worked with Matt Omer now, sound healer, and you know, all these different modalities were constantly um removing the coal, if you like, around the diamond, and that evolution has continued. But then they became there's been then there was multiple moments through that journey that continued to accelerate where I was having extreme mystical experiences and and um you know my my kundalini, even though I didn't know what it was at the time, moved and had awakened and gone through my body and and beings started turning up and working on me uh when I'd be just laying in bed at three o'clock in the morning, you know, and and everyone else, there was not really many people I could be talking to about this at the time. Um, but it was happening. And and then I was I I was in a successful uh supplement company called 118 Nutrition at the time, which we'd grown through the fitness industry, which is a whole nother story around the health and wellness space. But that became part of my identity of success because we were, you know, we it was the first time I'd grown a company and it was, you know, um moving into seven figures. I could pay myself decent. I I had a little beach apartment overlooking the ocean in Sydney. I went and bought a Ducati. Like it was like all these things, but there were still these feelings. That little boy that that was struggling was still that that was still there too. So so my the identity and the question of who am I and what what what am I doing with all this just kept getting deeper as well. So so then uh, but I was paying more attention to what was wanting to present itself in a space of beyond words from the heart space and the knowing space, because it's clearly there there was a trajectory for me, and every time I resisted it, it was a struggle, and every time I kind of surrendered to it, like I did with the the ayahuasca that night, then it allowed me to lean in. So I had to make a huge decision, which was sell out of my company, because that was struggling in at the end of 2017, and and that's when I started my podcast let it in because I wanted to have conversations around people that were already on the path, were understanding this, and just explore and start to meet people and connect and things like that. So so I started doing that. I started running uh meditation workshops as well. And as I'm sure you know, by actually holding space and being in the it's it's one of the sure fastest ways to accelerate your own personal growth from being in that, even though you know participants have no really no idea because they're all in their own stuff, which is perfectly normal. That's why we're doing it. But so there was this acceleration that was continuing to happen. And interestingly, what would happen? It was bringing up my own stuff more and more through the power of the feet, the collective field we were creating in the groups, and more and more things continued to open, basically. But I constantly started leaning in, and we ran our first retreat in 2019, which is my company called Live and Flow, and three facilitators, myself, Matt Omo and Petra Brozovic, with very different um experiences that brought us together, um, facilitated a first uh retreat. And what what we created was extremely special. It was definitely from source, it wasn't like we got together and we thought, oh, we'll just do this, we'll just do this. I mean, we kind of thought we would do that, but when you get in there, you just create, you know. So in a nutshell, that's been it, and these last 18 months have been exponential for my personal uh growth again, which has been really, really fascinating. So it's like I mean, I'm sure everyone listening would knows, but I see uh see our bodies more of as a a conduit, it's energy needs to be continuously flowing um through the body, not so much just like a container where we hold, because if we hold, that's when we start to hold on to stuff, but this energy is flowing, and and uh the body itself, the more we start to allow at a DNA level, at a at an energetic level, the the the imprints, the energetic uh blockages, whatever you want to call it, start to shift, then the the frequencies can we can our body can slowly start to attune and hold a faster frequency, more light. And anything that is not in resonance with that faster frequency has to continue to fall away. So, and it's coming in waves, it's coming at us. Obviously, the the frequencies, as you know, the planet are shifting constantly, and you we we tend to resist it, but through my experience, I've just continued to feel where that discomfort gets in. You know, you have a wrestle with your mind and everything else, and then you you just surrender to it, and then the the body adapts and and on and on it goes. So, yeah, that's that's that's a very, very condensed version of it.
SPEAKER_00Thank you so much. I have so many questions from this and where where we want to flow because I know that everyone who's watching here is is going through this as well, awakening and crumbling older versions of themselves, like disappearing. The immense light that's coming in that we're actually able to embody, it's huge. So um, before we go into all of that, I just want to ask you about about um two things you said about the beings, that that mystical experience of the beings. Um, because I've got a few people that have been writing in in the YouTube chat about their experiences, and I think they'd love to hear more and get some support. And then also the kundalini, um, a few people have been going through that as well. So if you could share a bit about both of those, like what you experience and and give some support to anyone who might be going through this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, I think the the first thing is to is to understand what's going on, which is which I would imagine people that are doing that because as that energy wants to move and be released, because all the energy that we use for you know, they say I believe the soul comes into the body uh through while while in conception at the 49th day, I believe it is, and and then we use this massive amount of surge of energy that's that's then been brought into the body itself and to develop our growth, especially in the the these early years. I mean, when you look how quick a child goes from baby to toddler to if I mean, I got two young kids now, I'm just watching them just goof, it's it's unbelievable. I mean, that's alchemy right there, right in front of our eyes, right? And we we just take it for granted. We we're physically, we're changing, it's phenomenal. And so it's it's all this energy is required, but then of course we get caught into the the Western conditioning of life, and we settle for certain things in certain ways, and we're indoctrinated in a way of a certain way of being, and and that a lot of that energy just then settles, which is the kundalini energy, which settles at the the the base of the spine, and that's the energy obviously we use for sexual energy as well and and recreation, and that started one to actively moving through me. And what I was doing, I was just meditating through my chakras every day. I didn't really know what I was doing. I was just bringing all I knew was to bring my awareness inward and hold a space and presence with it and start to send it love. Like it wasn't this ain't rocket science, but then this energy started to move, and there was a time where it was like, oh my god. But the I feel the key is is every time we resist the flow of life in some capacity, that's where the pain is. And and you can even look at that to all sorts of things, even when we grieve and there's a loss in our lives, which is extremely painful and and challenging. We tend to quite often not just allow ourselves to feel what we feel, and then we even resist into the feeling that's wanting to present itself to allow ourselves to grieve. We go into the busyness of it all, and and all us doing is is exacerbating the pain, um, as opposed to letting the natural flow happen. Life flows, nature naturally moves. So the way I look at this, the energy that's wanting to move through us, and if and if it's moving through us, then there's a part of ourselves that is being called forward by our highest self that's ready to evolve. Okay, but then the conditioned mind and the limited self can end up being scared shitless because we get we're leaning into the unknown, and therein lies the paradox, and therein lies the tension, and that we're pulling in two different directions. So when these things start to activate and come online, ideally we want to have been developing a foundation and an awareness and a deep understanding of what the requirement is to thus develop the sense of safety within our body and that we're able to hold space for ourselves, or then we we make sure we're in we're in an environment where other people know how to hold space with you. Because the moment you don't feel safe in any shape or form, you're going to resist the changes that are wanted to come through. And when you look at it at its essence, this is actually a physical biological process that is viscerally happening within the body. And we the body knows what to do. It's just like as I watch my children grow, they're not standing around thinking about it in any shape or form, it's just naturally growing in and developing and happening. Okay, and it's and it's the same with this. There's there's an element that it's time for for this growth to continue. So we need to understand and ensure that that development there. But of course, if we've got a lot of underlying trauma, and if we're we're trying to force something like this to happen in some way, then I think that's when we can start to get into trouble because we're bringing up a lot of unresolved trauma that might not have been. Healed, and it's a case of do we really want to be turning the full hose pipe on, or do we just want to let it let naturally breathe out over time? So that that therein lies then ensuring that there's the right guidance and support in the in the right ways. So that's what I would say on that. But then when it leans into the mystical, then through uh increase in frequency, and I believe it because I feel I've I've felt it quite a lot. So what would happen was as you clear the the spinal column, because that's where the most of your nerves are running through, and obviously that's where a lot of energy is. And we continue, I believe, continue a lot of hold of information, especially at the the chakra at the the back of the skull where the spine meets the uh the skull itself, you know. I've I know I know that that's where a lot of channels once they've healed that. Um the the the channeling can come through a lot clearer, but I'm going off on a tangent here, but coming back to that, then as we we start to circle out that energy, because we are spheres of light, we are torces of energy, so that this energy is flowing through us continuously, uh uh, and we're a sphere of light ultimately. Then the the pineal gland, especially, um, once that's act once that's uh decalcified and opens, then it's like you're cleaning the lens because you see with your brain, not your eyes. So you can start to induce experiences with with the the pineal gland and actually start to have um insight just through the pineal alone. And what I was finding was my I could feel the clicking in the center of my brain, like it would pulse and click. And when the energy would increase, it'd be like I could like here feel it here. I was like, holy shit! And it's and and it was starting to move, and it's like, what is that going on? And it it went off on for years, off and on, and and I believe it was clear. I don't know, I can't prove it. It's not like I can put a camera inside my head and say, here's before, years after, but I felt something shift, you know, and there's all these different theories around it. And I'm like, well, that makes sense, you know. The moment I started removing sugar from my diet um 20 years ago, and really started being very conscious of how I the water I drank and filtering that and and the foods. And you know, myself and my wife went through a huge um cleanup about gosh, eight, nine years ago of removing all the chemicals within our the products and the bodies. That we were pretty calm, we thought we were pretty conscious anyway. But then when we stopped and had a hard look, we thought, no, we're not at all. And it's challenging, you know. We're not we're not we don't do any of this perfectly by any means, but the the way I look at it is you know, your body's a filter, and whatever's gonna whatever you go through, whether it's through your nostrils, your mouth, you drink it, breathe it, whatever, it the body has to filter it all. So why make it work harder than we need to when we're in control? When I'm not in control, I I I let it go. This thing's it's just gonna create, but but so all those things have added up over time to lean in. So again, going then into the mystical. So what was happening, that energy would just come on and move, and I was learning how to surrender into that. And one of the the first things that would start to happen was that I would I would continuously go into like an orange um ball, like a cocoon. And and I would, I would the first of all, I'd feel the presence of beings coming in, and and myself would I would just expand. I could feel into them now, but uh I'd never seen them fully. But then then what would happen? I could I the first experience I had they touched me on my shoulder, like I felt it, and then energy started coming down through my left side, and I could feel it surge through my body as if it was looking for things that were blocked, and I could feel my body actually moving around and shifting from the force of the energy that was beginning to happen, and then and then, like, have you ever I don't know, I was trying to explain this on a podcast the other day, like the movie The Abyss, where they go with the water, it's an old James Cameron movie, but there's there's this moment where the the water the water becomes liquid and and it comes out like a face, yeah, and it's it comes comes through, and that's what it was like for me in this experience where I could see this face coming through this golden bubble that I was in, as if it was like peering in. And I was just like, holy shit! And I surrendered into it, and there was another healing that occurred. So, what was happening every three months or so? They kept turning up when I would run an event, and I would be sometimes absolutely exhausted, exhausted from doing these things because I'm I'm clearing my own stuff as well, and I just think, Jesus, you know, and uh and the same thing would start happening, and then there'd be different colors would come in at different times, which was really fascinating. Sometimes I'd be put in a green cocoon and I could feel them coming in, and then I could just feel these waves of energy just being sent through my body, and I'd be like, holy shit! And that was almost like I felt like I had a cheerleading squad in some ways. That's how I kind of viewed it because it was like keeping me, giving me encouragement to keep going because it was so challenging, it's so hard to get when you first get going. I I I just and I and I sold out, I just burnt the ships. I I I was like, right, I've got I've got I've got enough money to to survive a year. Nobody everyone knows me for doing this over here, which was in the fit health and fitness industry. And I'm going like far on the other side of the spectrum over here. And how am I gonna do this? I I did I did not know, I I had no idea. But I I started walking basically, taking each step each day, and then these things would continue to happen. And then I was having out-of-body experiences. And I had a time where I I met myself. It was the it was the wildest, probably one of the wildest of experiences I've had to this day, where I'm laying in bed, and the next thing I know, uh, because what would happen, I would just go and I come out of the top of my head, yeah. And my whole body would vibrate first. It's like an air, and you could feel every cell, and then I'd be I'm outside of it, and then I'd be in like a void, and then all of a sudden I got I shot off like my consciousness would have shot off like a rocket directly, and it was like like as if I'm going through layers and layers of universe or realities.
SPEAKER_00Wow. Were you aware of your body while you were like your soul was was gone? Were you were you still aware of the physical body or completely?
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. You just like did you just go in and I surrendered into it going, holy moly! And it was just it was like skydiving, but going upwards, not down. That's the only way I can explain it. It's just like so extreme. I remember going through through the like I popped out of the earth's floor, but maybe somewhere else, and then through the trees, and then through the sky, and through the universe, and then another one, another, and it was like shh, and this went on for about 10, 20 seconds, like oh my god, and then I just popped up, and I was in the stars in the cosmos. Wow, and I and I was, and all of a sudden, then I got pulled into this giant eye, and this giant eye, it kind of looks like that behind me, but it was it wasn't that, but but uh that's my frequency, but that's another story. Um, and this giant eye looked at me and it was just like looked straight through me, and it blinked. I'll never forget it. I looked at it and I thought, shit, that's me. Yes, and and it it no words were said, but it was it was literally saying to me, you this stop limiting yourself in any shape or form because this is who we are, and then shot me back down into my bed, and I come out of it, just you know, like mind blown, mind blown, and you know, when I was having those moments, how could I how could I not you know trust and move forward? So so I guess that's what's I think the key the the the the biggest thing I witness and the biggest lesson I've learned is that we gotta be mindful of searching for these mystical experiences and having them in a way because again, there's a there's an unconscious thing that's outside of myself, and it can keep us distracted from what is wanting to shift within us, yes. And and in this the quest for that, we're actually continually distracting from the pain that's wanting to be revealed, yeah, to be felt and healed to allow us for our evolution to grow. So I wasn't seeking these, if anything, I was trying to avoid them because they were a bit unnerving. But what it was so what we're very conscious of, and what we try and educate people on is that really we're looking for a sole solution to an earth our earthly plane, and we're wanting to make sure we're bringing that wisdom in and integrating it so it shows up in our daily lives. So instead of quest requesting the experience, I mean they're great, don't get me wrong, but we get so attached to that. Yes, then we should we really should be seeking the wisdom that we're craving to allow ourselves to for to grow and uh experience the now more and more, ultimately at the end of the day. That's what I really feel it boils down to.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because we can get so distracted by seeking. Oh, I want to have mystical experiences, and that takes us away from the present moment where the mystical energy is. So it's more about um bringing awareness into the physical body, and and when when we do that, just when we bring awareness into the physical body, yeah, then that's when we start going through big healings because all of our energy is here in the body in the present moment. So then you will have like these aches and pains showing up. But that's a good thing because these aches and pains are our traumas, not just from this lifetime, but lifetimes and ancestral. And so often people go, Oh no, this is too painful, I want to avoid it. I'd rather go seek the good mystical experiences. But the this is the way to experience the mystical experiences, is go into the body, allow yourself to be present in the body, and then the pains and the traumas will come up, they'll arise by themselves because the body is so intelligent and it knows when you give it awareness, it knows then it's been fed so much energy, it knows how to counterbalance, it will start to release things. And if if you can just maintain awareness and trust, it will start having big releases. And as you release, you create more spaciousness, and in that spaciousness, consciousness, all that you are, you start to experience. So you don't actually need to go and try to strive to find it, you just need to undo all that you're not by being aware of your body, it will naturally show itself as you release all those patterns and programs, which you're not really all that. That's just what you've collected along the way of lifetimes. As you witness it dissolve and release in the empty spaciousness, you experience all the magic that you are. And and I know a lot of people in my community are going through some wild things, like someone's been saying that their body's crumbling, they feel like they're being just squashed, um, someone else is having so many physical symptoms. Um, it's just, I mean, we are going through massive ascension, which is so exciting, but it's a lot. So I also just want to share with people what Guy said. You said you can choose, you can slow it down. So, like, if it's a lot, if it's a lot going on, you can rather have smaller releases over longer time by consciously actually like breathing and like slowing it down than having these major breakthroughs and releases which crumble you. So, Guy, can you share a bit about that? And also, oh, I'd love to hear about the collapse of the identity because a lot of people are are like their old self is just crumbling, and then they're not quite yet the new self, and they're in that like confused state. So, if you can talk into that as well.
SPEAKER_02I I I wish I could just say, yeah, that's easy, it's a breeze. You you know, I don't suffer from any of those things you just said at all. It's uh there's a way forward that's easy, but uh in my experience, it hasn't been. I mean, the first thing I I always look at uh, I guess it's the male part of me through I try and simplify things logically, what's happening, and then bring that logic into the feet into the feeling side of things and and the and the allowing and try and get that male-female aspect correct. Because normally when I have a whiteboard and things, when you think about it, the construct of just ourselves, without even going into because without even going into ancestors, past lives, and things like that, because it can all feel so overwhelming, right? All of it. The first thing I think as I look at this, it's just energy, it's just energy. That's it. It's just energy. I have quit the story, I don't care where it came from, what happened, who did it, what's happened. It's either flowing, wants to be, or it's stuck and needs to be flowing. That's it. So that's the first thing I do is simplify it in my mind because otherwise we get lost in the the story of it, and that story is hooking us in then into not shifting.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02So we get we don't then create in the resistance in the moment, and so that's the first part. The second part is that we tend to we build, I think it's about 95% of who we are by the time we're seven, right? So through you know, we we we're in the womb, our nervous system is getting shaped by the nervous system of our mother through her expressions and feelings. We got the ancestral, like there's a lot of things that are going on that are shaping us in our blueprint, our architecture that's going in. Then we we go through the first seven years culturally, and and you can do this, you can't do that, our experiences, and that's all informing us and shaping us. And then, as we then form an analytical mind beyond the age of seven years old, we're based upon a false foundation that we've already taught, like our body thinks who we are due to the input experiences. So we've got a big foundational block, and from that foundational block, we're then starting to form our own analytical thought process of how life works, and then we're placing assumption upon assumption upon assumption upon assumption based upon a false narrative in the first place that is our foundation, yeah. So, in some ways, we're living a complete lie of our our own truths, so it's like what is me and what is everybody else's, and we are completely bought into it. So, for me, then when I fully understood that, then it's exciting to know I'm gonna meet my future self more and more now in this present moment. It's exciting to think that I can start to become more of my my true self, my authentic self, and shed away the layers that are that have served me and protected me to this point. And when we start to feel the contractions in the body, the only I mean I I was in the fitness, I played sport, I played rugby, uh, I I lifted weights. There's a there's a there's a there's a kind of athletic strength that came from that, where the the the growth is in the discomfort. Okay and I truly feel that we live a life that we are so comfortable in some ways that we don't actually know what it's like to be uncomfortable. I grew up through life extremely uncomfortable, and I'm not wishing it upon anyone, I'm not saying not I enjoy comforts, don't get me wrong, but there's there's a there's so much growth in that element of discomfort, no pressure, no diamond, and we have to start owning it and making daily action steps, I truly feel, to develop that muscle of the edge of your comfort zone per se, where where the growth can happen, and then we we bring that into these points because there's there's I've been having exponential shifts in these last couple of weeks. I've been having body convulsions, I've had, and we literally just did a big weekend of of one-day events, and the elevation of that energy, I actually felt all my intestines come like convulsing like this. Just when I came, when I was able to just drop into it uh at at the end of the day because I've been holding so much space, and it was like, oh my god, my whole body just went cold because the autonomic nervous system is trying to reorganize itself to the new state of being. So the autonomic nervous system is just wanting to keep you safe. That's called homeostasis. So for me, understanding what is actually happening and going on uh allows me to surrender into it as opposed to running away from these things. And don't get me wrong, I just days where I'm I'm I'm tired and and I'm feeling that to be honest with you, at um these last few weeks because the the shifts have been so exponential in myself, yeah. And I'll get up and I'll and I'll fall into victimhood sometimes and just be like, oh my, you know, and it's grouchy grouchy grouchy and pain, pain, my body aches, and yeah, but when I just stop and give myself a little bit of space and just be present with it and connect to my heart, I know, I know it's it's fine. It's this is just this is the conditioning process. So to answer the question, I think it's important to ensure that we have rituals in place and practices in place that are slowly. There's no shortcut to this, there's no, there's no fast track, there's no, I'm gonna get another trap that we fall into is once I'm get there, then everything's gonna be rosy. I'll just get through this, then it'll be fine, you know. Like, but my thing is we're always gonna be going through it. We're we're always gonna be, there's always growth. The universe is expanding constantly. We are the universe, so we're expanding constantly. There is no endpoint. There's just going to be waves of different sense of pressure. That's how I see it. So why not start to bring it into a different shift of perception to what is going on that's allowing us to develop a deeper sense of awareness to ourselves and what is happening and be loving and kind. And the key is that we set ourselves up to support ourselves and win. And one of the things we rob ourselves of is time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And space to do that. And understanding what we truly value the most. What is it that we we actually want? And you know, kind of make a decision and get in there.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And if if people can choose, okay, I'm creating space and time for myself, even in a busy day, to go, okay, well, I'm gonna do 10 minutes five times throughout the day, just even setting that intention and then remembering to do it. For me, it's like I just all of a sudden I go outside, I I stay up, I lie down, I look at the trees, and I breathe in this wonderful energy and light that's around. And I could be having a crazy busy day, and just a few moments of that, and it shifts the nervous system. And and also that the main part of all of this is acceptance, like accepting that we're going through huge energy upgrades, we're ascending, we're being able to hold more light, and it's exciting and it's a lot at the same time. But how deep can we accept it? How can we allow it to really happen? Because when we allow it, we're allowing the expanded consciousness, the the infinite light that we are to truly be living and experiencing itself as a human without all those prior conditionings. You're just absolutely setting yourself free. So it is worth it. And I feel like everyone can carve just a bit of time every day to go outside, to look up at the trees, look at the sky, and just breathe in consciously the energy and light. And in that, there can be profound releasings and healings, and and and your whole system can come back to a state of like neutrality. Yeah, it's powerful.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. And I couldn't agree more. And this is why we actually hold space at retreats.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Because as you get closer to what's wanting to break through, the mind gets crafty and comes up with all the the small self, comes up with all sorts of strategies to keep you distracted. I mean, we live in a world where we can access any information 24 hours a day at any given time. We can distract ourselves, keep ourselves continually distracted if we choose to. Always. So when you when you hold someone in a container for that amount of time, then where are they going to wiggle to? You know, we can kind of like keep bringing them back, bringing them back to the point where they have their own realization and breakthrough, which is coming from within themselves, which is key. None of it, we can't do that for anyone. It has to come from within.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. The master within knows how to guide through these breakthroughs, but it is hard doing alone alone. I've I mean, I throughout my life, I've gone on retreats. I'm a big believer in retreats. I'm actually um this year, finally, people have been asking me, Natalie, host a retreat, please. So I'm doing a beautiful retreat in Costa Rica in November, finally saying yes.
SPEAKER_02Amazing. Well done.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I know through my own experience, and I just know that when you're held, it's something that could have taken you maybe a year. You you break through it in in like a few days. Like, I mean, even you know what, even just taking a break from your normal day-to-day life and going to another country that's got a different frequency, that in itself starts to help. Then you go into a conscious space where you're being held by by people that really know how to hold you. It's amazing. Like, do you have do you have something that's happened on a retreat that's just like whoa, that you want to share with us?
SPEAKER_02Holy shit.
SPEAKER_00Um probably both.
SPEAKER_02Lost count, mate, honestly. Yeah. We've we've would, I mean, it it really depends. We've seen physical healings, like literally shifts, skin conditions, just go, shoulder injuries fix. I mean, my I took my mom, my mom wanted to come to one. She was 70, 77 at the time, and she couldn't even lift her shoulder up above uh her arm above her shoulder height. She fell and um broke a collarbone about 20 years earlier, and she always had issues with it ever since. And by the second day, she she waved to me, said guy, look at this, and she just put her arm up in the air. And I was like, wow, that's that's unbelievable. I mean, we've we've had, yeah. I've I mean, this we've had, you know, from people having miscarriages that are connected to the soul of their baby and heal that part of themselves, which is just mind-blowing. We've had deceased loved ones or people that are grieving, that have have come through crystal clear. We've had people ask travel to different areas and had different experiences. You know, it's but it the the the main thing is is that it's allowing to heal certain parts of ourselves that are ready to to be healed, that are uh then preventing us from moving on at a deeper level. Because ultimately, at the end of the day, we're never gonna get there with the mind. We just can't, we just won't, no matter how much we think about it, or and then we're in the we're in the action of trying and doing, and and it's just constantly gonna sever us um from that. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I I often see this image of so my hand comes over my other hand, and I call it the hijacking ego. The ego hijacks, it's it's so the soul gets inspired and excited, it's like, oh, we're having breakthroughs and this is happening, and then somehow the mind wants to control it, and and so yeah, in that moment when it does that, we have to maintain strong vigilance awareness. The awareness, consciousness is who we really are, what we really are, and to maintain that awareness and just witness and observe, and even that hijacking ego pattern will dissolve if you can stay in neutral in this space of not trying to run away from it or not trying to attach to something better, just by being present, witnessing, and it can totally dissolve.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely, yeah. And why why wouldn't it? Like, what are we actually losing anyway when we let it go? That's the other question I ask myself, right? Because and I think when I reflect back on my life and even to this day, what are the things that truly matter? Like, what are they when you when you break it down? When when you when you when we get to the end of our lives and we take our last breath, like what are the the what are we going to be focused on? Right? I always remember um I can't remember uh Bronnie Ware, I'm not sure if you're familiar with her, she wrote a book called The Five Regrets of the Dying. She and um it's a huge book at the time, and I um I can't remember off the top of my head my five regrets are, but uh I always remember thinking about those things and having a bit of a bigger picture view. So when the small stuff is happening on a moment-to-moment basis and daily, because uh it really jolts me back into being alive and being my my fuller self in these moments. We tend to drift, we tend to drift through life quite often, and we've been asked not to anymore. I really feel that's the case, and you know, we have a concept do we want to drift or do we want to design? And for me, I I want to be a designer, I really want to feel into that designing and that sense of knowing, and and come from that place. Whenever I'm in my head, I I I just I seem to stuff it up for some reason. Whenever I'm I'm in my heart and I allow, I I could never figure that out. Where I am now, I couldn't have I couldn't have figured any of this out. Yeah, right from that little guy in the valley. I don't know, I have no idea, no idea, still don't. But it just keeps showing up, it just keeps showing up and and really uh focus on what really matters. Uh for me that's really important. Yes, we we need things like we live in a material world. I get it, we need money, we need to do things, we need to get through life, and they all have their importance, but it doesn't need to be the thing, uh, our identity. When you strip it all away, your job, your relationships, your whether you've been a parent, who are you? Who's that who's that guy? And are you are you seeking your power from all your externals, or are you generating it from within? And you don't need any validation from anything or anyone externally for you because you know who you are, and that's the name of the game, right there, I believe. And then when you really know who you are from the inside, and you're not giving your energy away like a leaky bucket to everything and everyone, and all those things, and and your identity isn't shaped on an external anymore, wouldn't you want to construct your life from that place? Isn't that how you'd want to move forward? And then you're doing everything with a reverence, with heart, with soul, with intention, and you're not just getting kicked around or pushed around by the external noise of what's what's continually trying to keep us in our little boxes, wanting us to stay small, stay dependent upon everything else, you know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's powerful. This this is it. And is there like one practice or something that that can really help that might help everyone here that helps you to keep coming back to the heart?
SPEAKER_02I breathe through it constantly. I practice with my eyes open, walking around, and but we go unconscious so often uh we we forget, we forget. And simple so simple things is coming back to heart. But in post-it notes, everywhere you spend most of the time, you can even write the words like we have an acronym, heart, but with two T's on it that we use, and the acronym to help us get back in the heart is with humility, with empathy, with awareness, with responsibility, trust, and truth. So, what it reminds us to do is not only drop in the heart, but when it's so the real work is when we're under pressure, when we want to go into the victim, when we want to that for me is the true spiritual work, what we do with our eyes open through our day, who we're being in those moments and how we are. And then when we challenge, we can ask ourselves, or if we're reacting to something, if we step away and say, Well, how would I look upon this if I was just in a in a beginner's mind, if I was in a place of humility without the ego? What about if I had empathy not only for myself but for the other person? What are what aspects of that am I not seeing that I'm just projecting upon? What isn't coming to my awareness or what's wanting to be brought to my awareness right now from this situation? If I truly believe there are the universe is full of divine synchronicities and there are no accidents and responsibility. Do I have the ability to respond differently? A response ability. This is an opportunity to develop that. Nobody else is going to change this, so it is my responsibility in this moment. Can I trust the outcome instead of trying to control it? And you know what is the truth of all this? What is resonance? So if we actually give ourselves these this time and be in our heart in that simple moment, that we're not drifting anymore or reacting, we're taking command of our life, we're taking command of ourselves. We cannot control anything or anyone outside of ourselves. The only thing we can truly master is the inner world, right? So things like that. And one other question that's always helped me is um is this mine or is this someone else's when I'm doing something, reacting to like you know, when I'm I'm just going through my day and I'm like, was I told is that me? Is that actually mine? And just start to note how much of it's a construct or a belief system or the truth of who you are, that'll help you get back to your heart as well. None of this is complicated, I don't think personally. I just think the mind's really good at making it so complex. Or I mean, it with this complexity to it all. I mean, if you look at the universe, it's pretty complex. I mean, you try to break the universe down, I don't have a clue, but you know, the principles are pretty simple, I think, with all this, you know. So, is the complexity just keeping you distracted from the simplicity of the life you want to live?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and that's such a good question to ask. Like, is this mine? And I was just laughing in inside of myself when you asked that question. I was like, Oh, I can already start to feel massive expansion through this conversation with you because um because no, it's not, it's that was yesterday's version of me. That's who it belongs to. It's not who's showing up right now. So, yeah, just constantly just shedding those layers, no, no, no, and making space for consciousness to truly be living and experiencing. And and and then when you when people really start to feel it in their body, that another wonderful thing to say to yourself is okay, I'm feeling a lot physically in my body. This is life living. I'm actually experiencing life, consciousness living and experiencing in my body, so that you aren't afraid or scared when when we're having these upgrades and holding more lights, but that you keep surrendering and don't be tricked by the programs of the mind because the mind does want you to get there, but it's also is scared of the unknown. Um, and so it will try to bring in its different things. But I feel like everyone who's here, who's watching, who's listening, is is really ready for constant expansion through release and opening. And that's what we're here to support with. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely. So we I think I really feel we have to go through it to unearth the wisdom from the other side at the end of the day, you know. If if sometimes you got to go through some pain to really understand what then to be grateful for what you have. My life is so full of gratitude because of the struggles I've gone through, you know, and the depths of loneliness that I felt through those, those, you know, for the first 30 years of my life, really, when even though I had people around me. So now when I've gone through that and come out the other side and and healed all a lot of those traumas, it's it's allowed me to feel so grateful for the connection I have to my family and the people in my life, you know, and and I I I value it with all my heart. Where if I just cruise through, I don't, I wouldn't have been able to really capture that, you know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, this is why the contrast here in this land of duality is actually incredible. Because if we didn't keep forgetting, like throughout the day, we kind of we get attached to the identity and we forget that we're consciousness, and then we remember, oh yeah, I'm a I'm an expanded being of course, I'm consciousness, I'm light, and then we remember. But if we didn't have that contrast, we wouldn't know. So through the contrast, it's actually we get to know know viscerally and experience it all, and it's magnificent.
SPEAKER_02Exactly, exactly, yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_00Well, guy, I've loved talking with you. Wow, you you're so grounded and expansive, and it's this is really so special. Thank you. Is there anything else you'd like to share before we close?
SPEAKER_02You know what's coming to me is whoever's still listening right now, just go live go live life, you know. I I I feel we get caught like life's meant to be joyous. I really feel that. Like have allow yourself to have joy along the way, and the stuff can get heavy sometimes, which is understandable, but it's not well. I respect I take the work very seriously. I don't take any of it too seriously in some ways, and have a have a little bit of fun, you know. Life's life's brief, it really is. It's it's a blink. And we I I feel you know, we owe it to ourselves to just just embrace it, just embrace it. Go and be your best version of yourself and and just keep leaning in. Don't be so hard on yourself either. Like, you know, you're after progress, not perfection. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I love that. And everyone who's here, bring your hands to your heart and feel that joy and that excitement. You're alive, and then you can write into our chat on YouTube. You can write and share what what's on what's coming up in your heart, what what's that joy? What what makes you feel so alive? What do you love about being human? Yeah, I'd love. I'm gonna go and read what you what you're saying. I'm excited to read that. Because it, yeah, let's all just inspire each other. We're human, it's awesome. It's and it is, it's a blink, it's just a moment of being a human. So thank you for that.
SPEAKER_02Totally. Thank you so much, Natalie. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, it's been so wonderful to get to know you. And I'm looking forward to coming and chatting and being on your podcast. And yeah, I'll yeah, I'm gonna include the link so everyone can go and check out your podcast as well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, thank you. Come over and say hi. And uh, if you see me in person one day, just come up and say hello. Give me a hug. I uh I always I always accept hugs. It's it's it's what helps.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I hope I see you in person one day.
SPEAKER_02You will. Thanks, Natalie. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_00Namaste. So you're still here, and that's because this message is meant for you. So I mentioned my retreat in the chat with Guy. Oh, what an amazing conversation, hey? I can feel my whole body vibrating so deep, and especially the right side and in my heart, and this is what it's all about just being held, being supported. Wow, I can feel energy even shifting and moving out of the throat chakra. And that's why I'm hosting this retreat in November, is because the angels, myself, we want to support you as well. Because yeah, we're going through massive awakening and these light codes that we're being able to embody, these ascension symptoms that we're going through. Yeah, it can be a lot, but it's it's this is our time to be alive. So, my retreat, I've called it returning to source, because that's what is going to happen. You're going to have a deep experience of God consciousness source, the true infinite light that you are while being held by me. And it's in Costa Rica because of the absolute frequency of the land. Costa Rica is green with trees and ocean and nature. You're just gonna feel like you can melt and be held by Mother Earth and by me and the angels. So it's on the 14th to the 21st of November. We've sold out of three of the rooms. So have a look on my website. I include the link to the retreat so you can go and look, you can read up what it includes. It's all meals, ceremonies at night, yoga in the morning, two sessions a day with me. Oh, we're gonna have seven nights together. Hugs and love, and meeting your family, meeting your community, your people. So if you're feeling like, wow, okay, something's vibrating here, then go and look on my website, feel it out, ask your soul, am I meant to be there? And if you get a yes, then sign up and you can connect with Christy. Her email address is below, and yeah, she'll she'll support you every step of the way. And I'm excited for you to join. So, beautiful souls, feel my love. It's coming to you with a big hug right now. Namaste.
